701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO is LIVE!] Jincor - Blockchain-powered enterprise communications on: February 06, 2018, 03:17:45 PM
Any updates on this project? Social medias accounts of Jincor still no updates.

I think they didn't collect as much investment as they needed so they've abandoned the project. I haven't seen any update from them in a while so it's safe to assume that it's done.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: People, why are you so scared? on: February 06, 2018, 03:15:24 PM
I agree with you there was no serious reason to get scared and panic sell the portfolio in loss, according to my understanding this FUD was created by big institutions, banks, governments and big investors that are either against crypto or are manipulating to get themselves in.

Actually no one is against bitcoin per say. They're trying to get the price down so they can stock up. Stock market is going low so I believe that money will start moving in crypto and we will see some major move within few months.
703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bittrex remove many coins ???'' on: February 06, 2018, 03:13:10 PM
Bittrex these days, is requesting certificates of conformity to all currencies, according to American laws .... who will not provide the necessary documents within a few days will be delisted by the price list. There could be an apocalypse

Bittrex is usually listing only serious alts, so I don't think that there will be many delisted.

Is there any preliminary list for some speculation tradings?

given that they already ask for lot of information when listing alts, I don't think many will get delisted. They have to follow the laws.
704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Its over guys on: February 02, 2018, 05:53:38 AM
It's not over till fat lady sings. hodl. This isn't the best time to sell. You see all these countries coming up with their own stance for bitcoin, they're just trying to get cheap tokens. It will go back up as soon as there is another positive news which will happen eventually. It's oversold at this point. just hodl.
705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The trilliom dollar question: What w'd be the impact of Facebook ban on ICO Ads? on: February 01, 2018, 06:06:54 AM
lol if you need face book ads to alert you to new opportunities and you have not heard and looked into btc by now you are either

1. old and don't understand internets and puters

2. lacking basic skills so are probably broke with no money to invest.

face book was good but in the end just brought in a load of freeloaders and general undesirables for this arena

face book banning anything demonstrates it is more centralised garbage ready to be made obsolete.

I agree with this. Facebook is very small place to advertise anything. There are other social media and places where you can place your advertisement. Facebook is slowly losing their trust value and they're doing all they can to blame their incompetence on others.
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Polymath overtake Ethereum? on: February 01, 2018, 05:57:23 AM
What do you say of the new ST20-token based call Polymath? Will it succeed? Will it follow Ether's steps or is it better? State you ideas and make a discussion. https://www.polymath.network/wizard

Even if Polymath manage to offer something more to ICO owners than ETH, it will take more than 1-2 years to move even close to ETH market cap and adoption.

So, no - not in 2018 or 2019.

Pretty much this. If poly takes over eth, it won't be within this year. People seem to forget how long it took ETH to get where it is today. We can't predict the future so we don't know which coin will have as much marketcap but it isn't happening anytime soon and until they've proven their worth.
707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook Ban on Crypto Ads/Summon to Bitfinex V/s Robinhood and DEX coming soon on: January 31, 2018, 06:15:10 AM
I don't see anything official from Facebook though. One of he article I read didn't mention cryptocurrency.

“This policy is intentionally broad while we work to better detect deceptive and misleading advertising practices,” wrote Rob Leathern, one of Facebook’s ad tech directors. “We will revisit this policy and how we enforce it as our signals improve.”

may be author is speculating that it would be crypto when it won't.
708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IGNIS AIRDROP... on: January 31, 2018, 06:02:57 AM
I received mine today but sadly price of ignis has fallen dramatically since airdrop was announced. I guess we all will have to wait until it kicks back up. Dropped 93% within 24 hours.  Shocked
709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: alts not collapsing as much as they should be right now??? please panic more on: January 31, 2018, 05:56:43 AM
I panicked when I woke up, sad when opening the blockfolio and see all my portfolio red and dropped dramatically. I am confused what caused this to happen, is this a result of the coincheck incident yesterday?

No, this is the result of
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-01-30/crypto-exchange-bitfinex-tether-said-to-get-subpoenaed-by-cftc

This does not look good for Tether at all. I hope they don't crash the tether market as so many people are still holding it as savior during crash.
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: alts not collapsing as much as they should be right now??? please panic more on: January 31, 2018, 05:53:54 AM
I notice none of my alt buys have triggered at all Huh Huh

There is enough fud here to usually cause an exit stampede and yet I see no real super dives like I was hoping for. Where are the 75% sale in sats terms offers right now in the alts I want? look if btc falls alts fall much harder... which part of that are we not grasping yet.

china, south korea, wall st fudders, tether, face book farting in your face...

how much more must happen before you just dump it all for what you can get?

stop holding on guys ....the sky is falling the sky is falling.

don't be left holding that bag.

Hold your ico erc20's they could be safe, xrp too actually most of the billions dollars club..... the rest though .... especially projects with real proven developers that have produced something. That old tired nobody is interested junk needs to be removed before it causes you more harm.

Don't go down with the ship

People who were going to panic have already exited the market. Now you're left with strong hands who will continue to hold until next pump. I don't think it would be smart for anyone to take loss at this point and just keep holding. People are getting used to this and they know it goes back up afterwards. Sadly, all of them are following bitcoin trail but some of them haven't dropped as much.
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH will go back to $1 this year here is why.. on: January 30, 2018, 06:05:04 AM
Once an altcoin has made to $1000, it will not go back to $1 again. It will most likely reach $2000 from here and go in upward direction (depending on btc price and overall market volume). However, even if it crashes people will keep buying it which will stop it from going to $1.
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Etherdelta hacked again? on: January 30, 2018, 06:00:26 AM
Their account has been suspended from twitter. I won't be surprised if they're hacked, there are too many twitter hacks going on these days. I don't personally use them so I could careless.
713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will 2017 gains ever happen again? on: January 30, 2018, 05:55:58 AM
I feel 2017 gains was a once in a lifetime opportunity and we won't see anything like it again.

January 2017

Many of the top 100 coins with a considerably small investment could have made you a millionaire today, and congrats to those who are.

$10000 in ETH at the time and you would never need to work again.

I just can't see these gains happening again, but anything can happen

I disagree. In my reality I think crypto is just starting and we will see major gains this year. Lot of big names in the industry are getting attracted to crypto and it will only make it more productive for the humanity as a whole. I imagine seeing everyone moving towards crypto from stock in few years from now.
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You have 1m dollars.. on: January 29, 2018, 12:49:50 PM
Where and how would you invest 1m dollars? What coins will you buy? Or will Huh you just put them in Bank? Huh Wink

that depends on what kind of money it is and how much risk I can take with it. Lets assume that its play money and I am in no hurry to cash out if market wobbles. I would invest 60% in BTC and ETH. I would use the rest to invest between altcoins such as powr, qtum, etc, ada then I would look for ICO that can give me good return. I would use 10% in good ICO that are giving something to the community and helping human evolution grow to next level.
715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Did I diversify too much? on: January 27, 2018, 05:59:09 AM
Hey everyone,

I'm feeling my portfolio is too diversified and I've put too much in the big ones.
Pretty fresh to the cryptoscene, started november. What do you think?

32% Ltc
26% Eth
20% Btc
8% Xrb
5% Eos
5% Trx
2% Ven
1% Iota
1% Eltcoin
<1% Link

If it works for you then good. I would suggest you look into powr, qtum, ada and etc. May be some percentage from ltc, eth and xrb can go towards them. Drop ltc to 30, eth to 20 and xrb to 5.
716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do when you are over 50% lose on your trades? on: January 25, 2018, 06:36:19 AM
On 10th I bought these coins...

QLC             665.39235960        spent 0.04669735 BTC now value 0.02208817
DBC           3489.01913490        spent 0.11399558 BTC    now value 0.04789097
UTK             999.14623990          spent 0.07351075 BTC now value 0.04367548
TRX         11704.11100000        spent  0.11480700 BTC now value 0.07415842
VTC              43.46405229          spent 0.01995629 BTC now value 0.01713204
MUSIC      6321.99316783          spent 0.04531524 BTC now value 0.02180519

If you notice in all these coins I am in HUGE lose. I am holding this of course. Coz I would never sell my coins in lose. I did in past but learnt my lessons.

How do you handle when you are in my situation.

PS: I regularly invest (taken it seriously recently) in ICOs and keep record of my Invested ICOs. I also made a list of the upcoming ICOs
that I am awaiting to invest. Everyone needs someone's support and so do I. Sharing my ICO SpreedSheet with ICO enthusiasts
help me to improve my knowledge and minimise the risk of my investment. You might also get the same from it.
Feel free to access my SpreedSheet from my Telegram Channel https://t.me/FilteredICOs.

Can you hold them for few years if needed? If yes, then just hodl them, if not then sell them. I think they should go back up when bitcoin rises back up but I don't know much about those alts except trx which I think will rise. Just keep track of bitcoin price and forget about keeping track of them individually for few weeks.
717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Endorsed By John on: January 25, 2018, 06:28:27 AM

I am also into investing with some new ICO projects now which I think have more chances to make it especially in the long run. With ICOs, it is as if we are granted the privilege of being there when the project just started (though this is not the same as buying IPO with corporations). Of course, we all know that there are always risks here and that is what we should minimize with doing our own research and maybe also listening to what others might say.

Right now, one of the most popular and influential ICO or project endorsers is John McAfee...do you always value his own endorsement or just like anything you take his words still with some grain of salt?

I would not take his advice blindly. You should always DYOR and stick with project that you prefer rather than one being promoted by John McAfee. I think he is just getting paid by them and promoting whoever pays him to promote their project. Does not mean they will do good once launched. His prediction has been hit or miss, so, ICO will follow the same trend.
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How many altcoins do you hold? on: January 24, 2018, 06:48:19 AM
I have similar but I try to lower my number. Usually I'm okay with less than 10 coins in my portfolio.
When you find big rally you would have majority of your money in that coin. It's good in wins but bad in losses though.

exactly. I hold little over 10 and it still seems too much and it's little difficult to keep up with all of them. I had little over 15 but I'm slowly cutting back as some of them offer same thing.
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to start investing with 1$? on: January 24, 2018, 06:10:22 AM
with $1 you won't see much profit if you try to trade and most likely end up losing your big investment. However, you can buy cheap token like trx, ada and forget about it for few years.
720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good or bad thoughts about TRON? on: January 23, 2018, 06:07:10 AM
In long term it can be profitable given they don't abandon it and it delivers what it promises. I think it should easily get to $1 and beyond once btc starts showing stability.
