It's difficult to say "local board xy has poor posting quality". Because we need to have a nucanced view here. It's a known fact that shitposters are active in all local boards (except inactive ones). Maybe because it's more difficult for Campaign Managers to review such posts. Maybe... But on the other hand, many local boards have quality posters, too. Maybe because it's easier for someone to write quality content in their native language (removes language barrier). Maybe... We have reasons for and against. So, we need to have a nucanced view. What we should do for sure: improve posting quality for local boards. It's never wrong to look out, where we can improve.  |

When I look from my point of view 14th place isn't good for me at all. After winning this pool last year I was hoping to be in top 3 this season as well.
Well, it's still time and 6 races are a lot. Maybe, we'll get some surprises or you'll get 2 podiums right in a row and you are back in Top 10. An issue to watch can be engine penalties because on some tracks, I expect some drivers to take an engine change, where getting 10 places grid penalty can definitely make a difference. It's really close and we need to make good predictions every round. |

About "advertising translations" (which is obviously the case for "Agora desk"), it might be different from usual translations but if someone wants to translate it, as long as it's not a scam and as long it's posted in the appropriate section, why not? In addition, I've never experienced any redundant translations (or how it's called here "translation just for the sake of a translation") from GazetaBitcoin. GazetaBitcoin has translated a lot of content from me (and even Bitcoin's Romanian whitepaper), I need to say that I'm really shocked how GazetaBitcoin is treated here because I can't confirm any of it. GazetaBitcoin has always been a professional translator, a friendly and helpful Bitcointalk member, advocated against spam and for a good posting quality and called out trolls and abusers. I'm really disappointed how it escalated very quickly here. Maybe it's time to get on-topic here again... |

I tried to implement it here as well, but as i am not a programmer i am limited to the data of @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard and @TryNinja Ninjastic.spaceOf course, I can totally understand you because I can imagine it is really difficult... I just meant an additional column for Merit per post ratio for that specific board. I don't know if it's possible to copy it from Excel because in Excel itself, it's possible to calculate Merit/Post [=[column number of merit]/[column number of posts]] easily. If you find those evaluations somewhat helpful, i could offer that for your local board as well.

Yes, it's really interesting to see how our predictions are very close. Right now, it looks like just particular positions can make a big difference because most drivers are set for top 10 and we don't have many accidents (except Perez ). Sucks to get 13.5 points and still drop a place, sigh.
Same here, I'm in the bottom 10% this week despite doing nothing really wrong. I even had Norris on podium but on the wrong position (3rd, while he finished 2nd) and in Superbru, that doesn't make any difference compared to if he ended up position 10 because I needed Perez on podium as well to get +2 podium points but Perez dropped the ball once again...  Quite embarassing performance from Perez by puting Magnussen from the track and some more stupid stuff like overtaking during box exit... Yeah in the pool the results surprised me as there were a couple of persons that were not at all in the bigger prize spots and now just because of a race I see them tailing me just 1 point behind while ahead the top guys got another point of advantage from me and am now 2.5 points behind them although I think that was the gap even before the race.
Shows how close our pool still is. 1 or 2 very good / very bad predicted races can really make a difference if people end up position 5 or position 15 on Superbru and we've still 6 races to go. Today's race was very close from a prediction perspective (most participants between 13 and 15 points) and we still had some position changes in Superbru. In a much more chaotic race or in case someone can get a correct podium, it's quite possible to make up 4 or more points in a single race. Next race is in 14 days (Quatar), where we will have Sprint again. So, make sure to get in you picks in time. The upcoming races are ones where usually Redbull have been great and maybe he will recover there so I am really doubtful about him but I guess I will have to stick to him for the podiums and whatever comes comes.
I'm looking forward especially to Las Vegas Grand Prix. It's a new track but could have similar results like Monza, since it seems to be a very fast track. |

Genauer: in Shitcoin-Klatschblättern und eines davon, welches weite Teile damit streckt, Kommentare von Bitcoin-Twitter wiederzugeben. Ist das Sommerloch noch nicht vorbei? Es gibt keine Beweise, es sind lediglich Spekulationen.
Da frage ich mich immer, warum schreibt man einen Artikel, wenn es einfach nur Spekulationen sind, dazu noch von irgendwelchen möchtegern-relevanten Bitcoin-Twitter Typen? Und die anderen Shitcoin-Klatschblätter kopieren das direkt. Wenn man mal dazu recherchiert, könnte man 10x die Anzahl an "Vermutungen" nennen, die andere Schöpfer als wahrscheinlicher ansehen. Gerade, wenn man sich mit dem frühen Umfeld des vermeintlichen "Satoshi Nakamoto" befasst, erscheint jemand, der Hal Finney gut gekannt haben muss (oder Hal Finney selbst) als deutlich wahrscheinlicher. Nix NSA, diese These macht auf so vielen Ebenen keinen Sinn. Und die These aus Bitcoin-Twitter, dass "Satoshi Nakamoto" an Dr. Tatsuaki Okamoto angelehnt sei, ist auch schon ziemlich absurd, weil das ziemlich sicher davon kommt, dass ein paar Straßen weiter vom damaligen Wohnort Hal Finney's ein Computerentwickler namens Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto gelebt hat. Es wird wohl nicht viele Leute in der USA geben, die "Satoshi Nakamoto" heißen. Das wäre einfach zu viel Zufall. Der Name "Satoshi Nakamoto" sollte also definitiv von Hal Finney oder jemandem, der Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto gekannt hat, vergeben worden sein. Ob Finney den Namen nur weitergegeben hat, ist jedoch unklar, z.B. aus früheren Bekanntschaften. Wenn schon spekulieren, dann bitte zumindest etwas mehr mit Realitätsbezug. Dieser seichte Sommerloch-Artikel ist jedoch ermüdend... Kräht kein Hahn danach, was Bitcoin-Twitter denkt... Muss doch echt nicht sein von den Klatschblättern, den Käse auszuschlachten. Als ich das gestern gelesen habe, hab ich mich gefreut dass ich mir mit Ablauf der Staffel hier hoffentlich den nächsten Eintrag in deiner Liste Für das Merit - 1miau verdient haben werde. Ja, das hole ich nach. Wenn ich es vergessen sollte, kannst du mich gerne noch einmal erinnern. Im internationalen Faden scheint deine Übersicht offenbar nicht so viele Leute zu interessieren, was aber eher daran liegen dürfte,dass sie den internen Bitcointalk-Statistiken sehr ähnlich ist. Vielleicht kannst du noch ein paar Spalten einfügen, wie Merit pro Beitrag aber das ist vermutlich den Aufwand nicht wert. Dadurch, dass es in Meta viele Coder gibt, die das professionell regelmäßig aufbereiten, sind die Leute dort etwas verwöhnt. Wie dem auch sei, aus irgend einem Grund lassen sich die internen Bitcointalk-Statistiken aktuell nicht bei mir laden...  |

Thanks for the hint, i did not know these statistics. The Top-merited users, recent merit works with the last 30 days, so this TOP-50 leaderbord is some kind redundant to the leaderboard presented here (the latter one could be seen as some kind of dokumentation). I guess it's the same for Top-merited recent replies. Ok, I didn't know it's for the last 30 days because it's still not working for me to load (most of) Bitcointalk's internal statistics for whatever reason. From what you've posted in our German section I really liked your additional column (in your second table) of how many posts each member made during that period (it's a good indicator of Merit per post ratio). I don't know how much work it is to do, maybe it's also an idea to add some more columns here as well but on the other hand, it might get messy quickly and is mostly suited for our German section. |

In the race Ferrari should be in theory better than McLaren as McLaren has always suffered the long distances of a race during this season even when they have upgraded their car in the recent races so based on this I think to make a bet on both McLaren out of the podium should be a great bet for tomorrow as I doubt they can claim a podium in this race and this is being said by me,a McLaren fan.
It's difficult to say and I've expected Ferrari to be stronger in qualification, while I believe Ferrari will lose places tomorrow because Ferrari is always suffering most from tyre degradation, which I expect to be a factor here. McLaren is very difficult to predict how it will end but maybe we can compare Suzuka to Silverstone? Tracks seem to be similar: - lots of fast sections (fast corners) - very few chicanes - a few straights but not too long ones And as we know, McLaren performed very well in Silverstone, where Lando and Piastri got position 2 and 3 in qualification. Many people expected McLaren to drop but Norris finished 2nd and Piastri 4th (he was only passed by Hamilton due to a badly timed pitstop due to safety car). Ferrari performed very badly in that Silverstone race. Simply, because I belive tracks are similar, I expect a similar result here as well: - McLaren will have at least 1 driver on podium - Mercedes will make up places - Ferrari will drop places I have Piastri and Verstappen on podium tomorrow for 2.19 odds, so let's see how it goes. Of course, it's only my expectation, could end up completely different. |

Speaking about Spiral explorer, it seems that its name was modified meanwhile, although it did not pass the Beta phase yet. According to their website, the new name is Blyss. Should we also update this name in our tables (current and old formats / OP and translated topic)?

Es fängt immer mit einfachen und guten Regulierungen an um nicht viele zu verärgern und schleichend kommen dann Novellen die dann die Regulierungen immer „strenger“ machen bis man einen Punkt erreicht der bei der Veröffentlichung Jahre zuvor nicht akzeptiert worden wäre
In Wirklichkeit ist es doch deutlich komplexer als der von dir skizzierte rote Faden, dass man im Jahr x (z.B. 2018) mit dem Ziel hingeht, "Krypto" bis im Jahr x (2025) so-und-so reguliert zu haben und die einzige Absicht eine angebliche "Totregulierung" wäre. Davon hat ja keiner was, wenn die Krypto-Aktivitäten in den Untergrund abwandern. Aktuell sind / waren (?) die Regulierungen doch eher davon geprägt, dass man nicht einmal wusste, was der ganze (Shit-) Coinsalat so an Funktionen hat, um eine entsprechend passende Regulierung zu finden. Dazu ist der ganze (Shit-) Coinsalat in sich viel zu inhomogen. Es gibt ja auch zwischen den EU-Staaten enorme Diskrepanzen (siehe z.B. Portugal). Ja, es ist nicht einfach, weil das alles noch ziemlich unklar ist mit Krypto. Und wenn die Regulierung wirklich deshalb erfolgen würde, um Profite zu schmälern (oder sonst irgendeine angebliche "Totregulierung"), warum gibt es dann noch die 1-Jahres Haltefrist? Warum wurden dann letzt die Haltefrist für Steuerfreiheit bei Coins aus dem Staking von 10 auf 1 Jahr verringert? Das müssen schon ziemliche Stümper da sein, dass sie exakt das Gegenteil machen von dem, was Unknown01 an die Wand malt. Ich wäre sogar dafür, die Frist von 10 Jahren Steuerfreiheit beim Staking so zu belassen, einfach weil doch kein Grund besteht, das um 10x zu verringern. Blöde PoS-Coins, sind eh nur dazu da, dass sich die Entwickler und VC die eigenen Taschen auf Kosten der anderen Shitcoinbesitzer voll machen. 
Kurzfristig wird die mica Verordnung definitiv dem Kurs gut tun aber wie die langfristigen Auswirkungen sein werden kann ich nicht abschätzen.
Das erschließt sich mir nicht, warum es kurzfristig gut sein sollte aber langfristig eventuell nicht. Ich würde sogar eher vermuten, dass es kurzfristig nicht viel am Kurs ändert, langfristig jedoch gut ist: es kann jetzt die Grundlage gelegt werden, dass in Zukunft Investitionen einfacher getätigt werden. Die Pappenheimer, die es ohne Zweifel gibt (sowohl Shitcoins als auch fragwürdige Anbieter), können nicht mehr ganz so dreist die Leute abzocken, was mehr Kredibilität im Markt verspricht und neue Investitionen anzieht. Es gibt also kein Szenario, in dem ein kurzfristiges "Strohfeuer" in irgend einer Weise realistisch wäre.

Nichts von seinen Voraussagen ist wirklich eingetreten (außer in Russland & Big Brother?) - aber genau das spricht für seine Einzigartigkeit.
Ich denke sein Ziel bzw. seine Aufforderung war es, dass sie sich die Menschen seinen eigenartigen Prognosen widersetzen.
Hat bestens funktioniert bei ca. 50 % der Menschen.

Ja, vielleicht liegt es daran, dass viele Leute gerne ihre Ängste in Orwell hineinprojizieren. Diese Ängste müssen gar nicht einmal konkret sein, sie werden lediglich durch die Projektion verkürzt oder gar fehlinterpretiert und nehmen dadurch Gestalt an. Vielleicht gibt es den Leuten ja Halt, dass sie sich ob ihrer diffusen Ängste nicht so hilflos fühlen. So gesehen stimme ich dir da mit dem "paranoid" zu, das trifft es sogar ziemlich exakt. Aber da bin ich leider kein professioneller Psychologe, um das im Detail einschätzen zu können. Ist eher so ein Eindruck, der mir in solchen Diskussionen kommt. |

Manch einem hier im Forum sollte das wohl so gefallen.
Es ist irgendwie schon ziemlich erstaunlich, dass Orwell immer wieder von der Fraktion an die Wand gemalt und fehlinterpretiert wird, die gleichzeitig Putin's Verbrechen verharmlost und (das in vielerlei Hinsicht orwellsche) Russland als Vorbild sieht. Da würde sich Orwell glatt im Grabe umdrehen.
Ja, schade dass die 27000 gerissen wurden, aber dass sofort der große Durchbruch kommt hätte ich mir nur in einem sehr positiven Marktfeld erhofft. Die derzeitigen 26600 sind jedenfalls schon mal wesentlich besser als die 25600 mit ständigen Tests der Bären, ob noch tiefere Dips möglich sind Wenn das Niveau gehalten wird wäre der September schon mal im grünen (positiven) Bereich, denn Ende August lag der Kurs noch 2-4% tiefer. Bei vorherigen Bullenmärkten wurde ja immer wieder gesagt, dass der Anstieg zu Beginn des Bullenmarktes nicht zu stark ausfallen darf, weil dann der Kurs sonst "zu schnell überhitzt". Auch, wenn ich eher dazu tendieren würde, dass das nicht zwingend der Fall sein muss (z.B. wenn auf einmal so große Euphorie eintritt, dass der Sprung so viel Aufmerksamkeit generiert, dass er sich praktisch selbst (eine Zeit lang) selbst erhält), wäre der aktuelle Verlauf ja nach der Variante, wie er im "Lehrbuch" steht, dass der Kursanstieg "nachhaltig" ist. Demnach wären wir aktuell nach dem "Lehrbuch" unterwegs. |

Striker Ajorque is back now and probably, he needs some game practice to get as efficient as he has been last season. Onisiwo should play as well. Buuuut for you which coach is getting sacked first bet, it looks like Heidel (Mainz Manager) wants to keep Bo Svensson: FSV Mainz 05: Heidel does not want a trainer discussion. Of course, after a devastating loss against Augsburg, a relegation contender, Svensson could still get sacked. After their weak first half against Darmstadt98, Gladbach is also a candidate, to get Seoane sacked. |

Schade für Union, dass solch eine gute Leistung nicht belohnt wird. Ein Punkt auswärts wäre eine gute Sache gewesen. Vielleicht kann Union auf die Heimstärke bauen, dass es an der alten Försterei mit etwas Zählbarem funktioniert. Bis auf den BVB ( ) in der Hammergruppe war das für die deutschen Mannschaften ja eine ganz gute Ausbeute. Morgen geht es direkt weiter mit den formstarken Stuttgartern, die daheim auf Darmstadt 98 treffen. Mal wieder eine gute Gelegenheit für Guirassy, ein (paar) Tor(e) zu schießen. Dafür haben alle Leute schön schön brav ihre Tipps abgeben, nur seekah fehlt noch. |

Als Hilfestellung wäre das bestimmt für ein paar Leute interessant aber nur als Hilfestellung, denn es ist ja auch Teil der Aufgabe, dass man selbst seine Beiträge heraussuchen muss. Mir ging es eigentlich eher um die Frage, ob das für die Sponsoren dieses Fadens interessant wäre. Aber das hängt ja wahrscheinlich stark davon ab ob es das Ziel ist sMerit unter die Leute zu bringen oder ob es primär darum geht nochmal für die 1miau-kriterien zu sensibilisieren.... Wenn die Beiträge gemäß des Anfangsbeitrages dazu in Frage kommen, könnte man im Zuge dieser Initiative sMerit für diese Beiträge unter die Leute bringen. Natürlich ist es auch Teil der Kampagne, dass die Teilnehmer ihre Beiträge einordnen müssen und (zumindest ohne viel Arbeitsaufwand über die Kürzel 1.x.x) kurz begründen, warum der Beitrag (mehr) Merit erhalten sollte. Das siebt dann schon einmal seichte Beiträge aus. Bislang ist es hier ja noch relativ ruhig und der 30.09. ist ja bald.

Kudos @buwaytress for checking so fast, I believe it's a hell of work to do. Luckily, work will decrease after group stage because we'll have less matches. I saw a variety of tactics but it should be noted that different tactics bring results reliant on actual match performances. Largely, the first match day gave predictable results, so safe tactics bring points, risky ones do not.
Interesting observations. My conclusion of our first round basically boils down to: We should remember we have 52 people participating in Pool B (odds prediction) while we've only 10 prize spots. So, only 20% of people will win and as a participant, we need to be a Top 20% participant to win some prize here. People submitting safe bets (like I did, where I made 12.2 points) might result in a positive balance overally but it's not enough to be Top 20% in the end (for claiming a prize spot). Simply because being a bit better than average is not enough to get a Top 20% result. It is very unlikely that 80% of all participants will end up having an average of 10 points or less per round. So, my conclusion is simple: for getting a Top 20% result, I'm anticipating, a participant may need around at least x1.4 per round to get a Top 20% position and claim a prize spot. Not sure about general numbers since like you've said, lots of favorites won and therefore, many people made good points by backing favorites but for our next round, numbers might change in case of upsets. |
