701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Worthwhile freerolls and low stakes high prize on: September 10, 2020, 03:52:39 PM
OK here I am satelliting for the 2k ticket

Ill probably use it to enter this (oh 2am maybe too late to start a big thing)

I entered a similar tourney at 4pm today, it was cancelled with 3 people signed up (only needed 4 to go) the prize 60k plus bounties starting at 1k per player and rising.

Damn, vs 4 people for 60k on SWC poker or vs 2-3000 people on a poker stars 150K hmmmmmm

*edit* I realised in the kitchen the error of my ways here. Its apples and oranges. 150k is $ and 60000 is satoshis doh *edit*

Define decent?  Cheesy

I meant to answer this before.

Decent: Free entry 1M$ prize no minimum entrants and no players signing up

Rubbish: Free entry 2000 winners share 10$ CBA

You touch on another point though. I'm liking bounties. Not having to wait to the end of a tourney for the big showdown.

Just a few pops an hour here and there and you are quids in.

I also think it encourages more all in, just make sure you win

702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Worthwhile freerolls and low stakes high prize on: September 10, 2020, 12:09:03 PM
Filling time till a tourney later.

Poker Stars
Grand tour $2 start
Best result: just now collected 6 bounties $29.19

By recording your desktop during the tournament you can prove a great help to newbies and while you are playing with your microphone you can tell us why you choose to do that move in that hand played. This can be really beneficial to newbies first and foremost but even to experienced players.

Thanks for your kind words. But I may have to come with a DYOR warning if want to copy my "style" lol

haha

Feels like a good day today. Been to see my neurologist and now no one can stop

You've been posting these for months now (I appreciate it because it confirms what I've suspected for about 2 years) and anyone who still doesn't see the correlation between BTC and the general stock market is out of their goddamn minds (cough... JJG).

Or at least they are acted upon by similar forces
704  Economy / Gambling / Re: #4 Bitcointalk Poker Series @ SwC Poker (0.06 BTC, BIG BTC Ticket by SwC) on: September 10, 2020, 07:11:45 AM
Hello All. Gamerwin123 is my username on bitcointalk and on swc it is gamerwin125. I will send 400 chips for the next event as soon as I know whether I will be able to play or not. Add me to the spreadsheet

welcome, glad to have you! there are no restrictions on entry into the series, so just send the 400 chips if you plan to play, and then shoot a PM to @efialtis to remind him to send the password.

You could just send it and use it for any of the weeks it is not committed for this sunday.

Main thing is don't miss the window of the amount of time of confirmation, but Im finding it shows up pretty quickly.

Then we can see.

I need to start winning before the wife gets wind of the general plan. hehehe

Cool

709  Economy / Gambling / Re: #4 Bitcointalk Poker Series @ SwC Poker (0.06 BTC, BIG BTC Ticket by SwC) on: September 09, 2020, 07:55:03 AM
Yes poker stars these games are WCOOP games, there is a range from 5-1000$ entry fees.

This one was 11$ and I satellited into that for 0.55$

Ive been sitting here staring at the wall for a few months since I was redundant.

Might as well learn a new skill. Only thing is its cash not bitcoin, but prizes are $K too so.

I have been top few hundred of several thousand in 2 out of 3 tournaments and I played and for about 3-4 hours.

There is an inevitable moment you go head to head and lose. As the blinds get very big you are forced in more.

Im just playing as if it was our game. If I make a day 2 I will be in the money. about $50 I think was the prize down about 1500 place up from there.

710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 09, 2020, 07:48:07 AM
Oi! ESL pro is back, brehs!  Grin only game i'm looking forward to today is G2 - Heroic https://i.ibb.co/b7S5tzT/cs.png
FaZe - fnatic could go either way so i would recommend going with total maps

-snip-

Damnnn dude, the underdogs have always won recently.
I have only been following CSGO since a few months ago which means there are only online tournaments, but are online and offline tournaments different? I mean do the underdogs often win in offline tournaments too?

Yeah I hear you after a few awesome runs I have stopped betting on esports for a while.

I built up a nice stack but have fritted it away on weird result after weird result.

Then the cheating thing came out. Sheesh.

Ill probably get back into it soon after I lick my wounds a bit.

712  Economy / Gambling / Re: #4 Bitcointalk Poker Series @ SwC Poker (0.06 BTC, BIG BTC Ticket by SwC) on: September 08, 2020, 07:38:15 AM

+1. just make a new account already! Smiley

Do you play on poker stars? grand tour?

I saw a foma person eat 2 guys live on the stream yesterday.

I wondered if it was you

Looking so tight

I was above 400th for a while and 700th (for ages) of 10,000 last night in a 2 day 150k$ poker thing.   Smiley

I lasted a good few hours and 5x'ed no rebuys. I was even starting to think what if?   Smiley

(I won the seat in a satellite 300 people tournament for 8 guaranteed entries)
713  Economy / Gambling / Re: #4 Bitcointalk Poker Series @ SwC Poker (0.06 BTC, BIG BTC Ticket by SwC) on: September 07, 2020, 07:12:35 AM

Thanks, was fun today! A bit disappointed, punted a good amount of my stack to the end.

Bust was a typical suckout on the river. GL to the remaining players!

What do the numbers mean in that screen shot?

How many more times we can play a round?
714  Economy / Gambling / Re: #4 Bitcointalk Poker Series @ SwC Poker (0.06 BTC, BIG BTC Ticket by SwC) on: September 06, 2020, 10:07:54 PM

716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 06, 2020, 11:39:24 AM

What do you know, we have more coaches admit of using the coach bug:

this could get very, very ugly very soon, the fact that the bus has been around for 3 years makes me think that at some point in some random match A LOT of coaches abused the bug...still waiting to see what happens with the tier 1 teams

Imaging the number of hookey games. Im pissed off. The temptation for them to use a glich must b huge when its big money.

But don't they have a neutral observer there?

Well, still looking a bit negative.
