701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: October 28, 2023, 06:09:42 AM
Did anyone catch the Clippers vs. Jazz game? It felt like a playoff game with an intense battle, and the home team emerged victorious in a very close battle. JC once again played the hero with his clutch 3-point shot, giving the Jazz the lead. The Clippers have messed up the plays in the dying seconds, allowing the Jazz to snatch the win.

For those who bet on +4.5 and the moneyline, congratulations to the winners!

That Clippers vs. Jazz game was indeed highly entertaining. I, unfortunately, bet on the other side, thinking that the healthy Clippers would be too much for the Jazz, even on the road. No regrets, though, as it was a thrilling game. The Clippers fought hard, but the Jazz displayed their own clutch capabilities. They remain composed under pressure, and their teamwork and willingness to take shots were evident.

Clarkson's dagger shot was a game-changer and secured the win for the Jazz. Without it, the outcome might have been different, but it's doubtful that the Clippers would have covered the spread.

One thing I've noticed is Westbrook's limited shot attempts in this game. He only took 4 shots. Has he lost confidence in his shooting ability?
702  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull season started? on: October 27, 2023, 09:45:06 PM
The recent surge in BTC to the $35k region has led many to believe that the bull market is back. Some analysts believe this is just the effect of historical October patterns, and we may see a significant pullback for accumulation and liquidity purposes before the bull season kicks off. I'm confused, which is why I'm here. What's your opinion, fellow traders?"
Are we expecting an early bull season just because there is a sudden price surge for bitcoin? For me, this is not enough reason, but I can see that this is just part of market price correction as there are really times that bitcoin price will suddenly surge high but after that, it will eventually drop low again and stay in its original price. And I know it's happening right now since bitcoin is currently priced at $33k.

However, even if the market goes suddenly bullish or bearish, I think we don't hold the market as to how it behaves. The important thing is we try to grab opportunities to invest in bitcoin when the price is given us chances to invest before its price will ultimately reach its new all time high.

703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: October 27, 2023, 01:52:44 PM
Hey Sports bettors!

I'm interested by two games on the slate for tomorrow....

Boston vs. Miami: These two teams had some exciting matchups in the Eastern Conference Finals last playoffs. I'm curious to see if Boston can bounce back with a big win. The spread is currently at -8, which seems a bit high, and I think Miami might be undervalued once again.

The confidence exuding from the Heat is certainly something we shouldn't overlook. While the Celtics may have a deeper roster and strong starters, the Heat have a belief that they can conquer them. Considering this, I find the -8 point spread for the Celtics to be quite excessive. It might be a good opportunity to consider the Miami Heat moneyline for this one.

GSW vs. Kings: Another exciting game to keep an eye on. They faced each other in the preseason, and Curry broke Kings' hearts, just like he did during the playoffs. Can the Kings bounce back, or will the Warriors secure their first win of the season?

What are your early leans for these matchups? Share your thoughts fellas....

Warriors being the underdog? Damn, we don't get to see that kind of odds all the time. I guess Warriors owned the kings, and probably CP3 will have an improve performance, so yeah,  let's get the Warrior moneyline on the road.
704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: October 27, 2023, 12:15:29 PM
Even if he drop some nasty words towards Inoue still I'm convince that this guy is humble man and he just release some certain statement so that he will have courage to face Inoue in the ring then also have some  swag effects on interview.

I don't think he needs to engage in trash talk if it's not his nature, especially against a boxer like Inoue, who's aptly called "the beast." This is arguably the biggest fight of his career, and in terms of promotion, they're looking to ensure they'll have a bigger earnings, which often means grabbing the attention of fans. While trash talk can boost sales, it's not a strategy for everyone.

Casimero is really different since he will not be called for Angas ng Pinas for nothing but he's performance is declining so maybe its now safe to say that the fighter is close to defeat Inoue at this era is Tapales since he's still a champion and he will not reach that far if he's totally easy to defeat. This December we can really see if Tapales could dominate this fight since if he can manage to win against Inoue for sure this is the best fight that he could ever get in his career and for sure many would really get hype for that potential win that he got from Inoue.

Casimero's recent behavior is quite different from what we've seen from him before he become popular. As I mentioned earlier, it could be just another marketing tactic. Boxers understand that they have the potential to earn more money if they adopt a more brash and cocky persona, especially when they are challenging the best in the sport.

In Casimero's case, I believe there's still a chance for him to become a champion again. However, when it comes to facing Inoue, there are rumors circulating that Inoue may not be interested in fighting him anymore, possibly due to disappointment with Casimero's recent performances.
705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 27, 2023, 11:45:03 AM
Harden won't be back, I am sure of that and I agree with what Sir Charles said, 76ers management will be forced to take a bad deal just to let him go.
But here comes a problem for him.
Quote
The league, which strengthened its rules about resting healthy players this summer, is investigating the reasons behind Harden’s absence from the 76ers’ nationally televised season opener against the Bucks.

“We’re looking into the facts around James Harden’s availability tonight to determine whether an approved reason exists for his lack of participation,” NBA spokesman Mike Bass said in a statement.
https://www.nba.com/news/nba-looking-into-james-harden-absence

I'm pretty sure the 76ers were well aware that this situation was going to happen. It's puzzling why Harden hasn't been traded yet, especially when the season has already started. They should have made the trade before the season began to allow for better chemistry among the players involved in the Harden trade.

Although they put up a good fight in their game against the Bucks, it's evident that they were undermanned, and they ended up losing the game. The longer they keep Harden on the team, even if he's not playing, the more challenges they'll face in each game. It's high time they make a wise decision, even if it feels a bit late.

I've heard a rumor that Ginebra has secured Tony Bishop as their import. Now, Bishop isn't new to the PBA, having played as an import for a different team previously. The big question is, can he bring a championship to the best team in the league?

What's your take on Tony Bishop? Do you think he has what it takes to lead Ginebra to a championship?

Here's the player's statisticis

707  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should we rely on prediction? on: October 26, 2023, 09:58:05 PM
Let me say since the beginning of this year we have been getting different prediction on Bitcoin prizes and investors too have been keeping their hopes very high on those predictions...

Those doing these predictions are having so much expectations and they said, Bitcoin will recover to $25k in 2024 and then rise to $45k in 2025 them by 2030 Bitcoin will get to $69k. Other crypto analysts suggest even higher price targets ranging from $100,000 to $1 million, but we should keep in mind that all Bitcoin forecasts are predictions. CLICK HERE

With all these being said I feel is time we face the reality that all these are just predictions, is under probability.
The market is very speculative, so its not surprising anymore that what we have are just only predictions since we can't get ahead of the market and view its future. However, predictions if filtered and studied very well, then we can use it as our future basis in the market. There's no wrong if you rely in some predictions when you trade or invest in the market as long as you do your own research as well how did that certain prediction comes up. And when you see that there are high possible chances that it will come into reality, then try to consider it but never focus on a single prediction only but be open-minded always especially that the market is beyond of our control.
708  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Importance of emotion while trading on: October 26, 2023, 08:56:50 PM
5. Stay calm and try to control temporary emotions.

I think the most crucial thing for a trader is to truly understand what you're doing. When you have a solid grasp of your strategy, your emotions are less likely to take the wheel. You're confident that your approach will lead to profits, which lets you stay calm while you work. Trading is a mental game, and once emotions get involved, they can cloud your judgment, leading to regrets later on.

As you spend more time trading, you're bound to experience a full spectrum of emotions. The market's wild volatility can be like a roller coaster ride. But with knowledge and experience, you're more likely to maintain discipline.

One last piece of advice: don't mix trading and drinking. Trust me on this based on my experience.
Emotions can be a great enemy in trading. And I realize that the real challenge in trading is not just to trade and stay in profits but to control the emotions that have already developed deep within us, the reason why it's too hard to feel less of our emotions as they can most of the time overpower our minds and end up ruining our trades. However, just like what mirakal has said, when you adopt the right strategy to use, controlling your emotions will follow as its very crucial to be successful traders.

And when it comes about mixing trading with drinking, you know this is sometimes hard to avoid especially that with online trading, you need to also feed your thirst while your mind is busy in trading. But if you can avoid it, then do your best to avoid it so you won't end up damaging your trades.
709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to invest or trade Bitcoin? on: October 26, 2023, 07:58:16 PM
All of us who are involved in cryptocurrency have heard and know to some extent about investing and trading. But I know that there are risks in investing and trading. To do these you need to know some basic things and gain experience. The main difference between investing and trading is the investment period, methodology, risk-taking propensity. Whether you are an investor or a trader depends on your financial needs and investment goals. Investing is long-term and involves low risk, while trading is short-term and involves high risk. Both methods can be profitable if the right strategy is adopted.
Which one is better if I want to invest and trade bitcoins.

There is no definitive answer to that question as the skills of each person are different, since there are persons that could make fantastic traders but horrible investors and the reverse is true as well, so do what suits you best and you will have greater chances to become profitable, however it is also important to mention that there are many people out there that do not have what is needed to do either one of those activities, and as such they need to stay away from them or they will lose whatever money they decide to invest in this market.
It all comes down to the individual preferences and skills. One can exceed in investing but fail to succeed in trading, or the vice versa, or one can do both because he's capable to succeed from investing and trading. And I think a lot of us here are taking risks in both endeavors.

However, due to the fact that trading offers bigger and quick profits than investing, people decide to learn to trade because they believe that it can be done easily as long as knowledge, skills and experience are present.  But when you're already in live trading, you will realize that skills are not enough. You need to have more control of your emotions for you not to end up with wrong decisions, otherwise your trades will end up being screwed. That's the reason why majority still end up focusing more in investing than trading because its certainly less risky and stress free.
710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Live Sports Betting vs virtual Games Betting on: October 26, 2023, 03:25:23 PM

If you prefer to see the scores to be able to predict how the game ends, yes live betting would be better. I did some of these stuff in soccer but it still is no guaranteed you win when you see the score is 1-0.

Just recently I did it with NBA as it's the new season, GSW vs Phoenix Suns to which I thought GSW would win because they recovered fast in the half of the game but they tend to lose still. So if one bets on the game while it's live, it sure is no guaranteed and the bookies also won't allow us to bet at the last minute.

I believe what the OP is inquiring about is real sports betting, where actual individuals engage in betting on real-world sporting events, as opposed to virtual betting, which likely involves characters within a particular video game rather than real people.

In real sports betting, there are various styles of betting. You can place pre-game bets, predicting the outcome of the game before it starts, and there's also live betting, where you can wager while the game is in progress. In live betting, the odds fluctuate much like the stock market, providing an exciting dynamic to the betting experience.
711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 26, 2023, 02:28:16 PM
Have you guys read the article about this Cebuano point guard who once played for NLEX and all of a sudden disappeared from the radar with no concrete reason why?

It turns out that Mark Tallo was out for drug infraction which i don't know what's the meaning of this. He is out in the PBA for i think 4 years and now that he has inked a two-year deal for Converge, he was suspended by the PBA for that offense (drug infraction) which had happened a long years ago.

I think that's just the rule they have to follow. According to report this is what happenned.

Quote
"To the best of my recollection, he tested positive during a random test sometime in 2018 yata," Rain or Shine head coach Yeng Guiao, then the bench boss for the Road Warriors, told me in a telephone interview.

Given how much water had already passed under the bridge, Guiao couldn't specifically recall if the violation was punished with a suspension or not.

Quote
A GOOD GUY IN A BAD SPOT
Unfortunately, he hung out with the "wrong crowd" and may have indulged in a forbidden pleasure that led to a positive test.

But that's history now. Time always fixes what breaks.

"If there was a ruling, it should be enforced. But Converge should appeal," Guiao said. "If it were up to me, Mac deserves a second chance. Nawala siya sa PBA ng ilang taon, dapat time served na."

It's always hard to disagree with the wisdom of Yeng Guiao. This one's no different.

And this too, means he will not be able to play for 6 months, probably he wasn't suspended before that's why it was only served now.

Quote
Recently signed by the Converge FiberXers to a two-year deal, the six-foot, 187-pound guard won't be allowed to play in the PBA until he serves a six-month suspension, according to multiple sources.

Do you think that this makes some sense since the incident happened years ago and the guy is now clean and yet not eligible to play again for that offense?

It's fair if the suspension is based on the rules of the PBA, if not, it isn't anymore.

712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 26, 2023, 01:42:22 PM
I missed this format because this is how I watched them when I was growing up and it was really not that much of a difference because those other star players when they are with the other stars from the other teams, always become super team that could beat anybody because of how great they play when they are with some high rating players. that's why they are also not that easy to predict because they can really beat each other without a doubt. East vs West in this era will be much more fun than the last format they used.

It's worth noting that the All-Star match has always been primarily a show rather than a regular game. I also used to enjoy watching All-Star Weekend, but since the 9/10 season, this event has become more and more boring every year. These are just my personal feelings, and I don't claim to be true. However, I think there are probably a lot of fans who have also lost interest in the All-Star Weekend, and that explains why the NBA has been experimenting with the format of this event in recent seasons.

It became boring since there's no real action and its like they are lazy to defend their opponents that's why I don't get excited when they announce that to happen since for me its more better to watch the regular season games than watching those boring all star action. But since they are now going back with East and West format maybe we can see some changes then see if they can play some good basketball since if nothing change then still this might be just another boring presentation.

If some say its just a exhibition match and they need to protect theirselves from injury, well I get that point but since they are playing basketball they should give their audience some quality show since this is what we are paying for to see a quality game that could entertain us.

I'm sure many of you, like myself, miss the old format, and I'm really excited that the NBA is working to make it more attractive to the fans. Going back to the classic East vs. West setup, rather than the current format with team captains drafting players, truly brings back the essence of the All-Star game. It's a lot more reminiscent of the Finals where the best from the East and the West compete for the trophy. I have to say, I think it's a fantastic change.

It's scary to see that Jokic still have that kind of ability to continue and dominate and have his first triple double in their first game against the Lakers.

That's just Jokic being Jokic. He's on the job now, and he's just doing what he does best being Mr. Consistency. He can easily put up that triple-double. Actually, he might have deserved the MVP award last season, but it went to Embiid. It's in the past now, so let's leave that behind. I'm just having a little sidetalk about that because I believe he was more deserving.

Now that he's already won a championship, his confidence is overflowing. Surely, winning the MVP this season won't be difficult for him.

Actually he is the top favorite now.

714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: October 25, 2023, 11:44:54 AM
I'm starting to have mixed feelings about what Tapales has been doing lately. It seems like he's moving away from being a humble boxer and trying to imitate what Casimero has been doing. I understand that he's training hard, but maybe he should keep his words to himself and just focus all his energy into training.

Calling himself a "nightmare" for Inoue sounds a bit funny because no amount of trash talk is likely to disrupt Inoue's focus.

So, Tapales should probably focus more on studying Inoue's training and preparing accordingly.

I think they are of different personality though, maybe this is just to hype that fight and give him some psychological advantage. As we all know boxers wanted to promote and hype their fight to the point of trash talking their opponents.

He had gotten a sparring mate already like Magsayo and Astrolabio, so they are really focusing on this fight and taking it seriously.

For sure, he has put 110% of himself in training because he wanted to pull the biggest upset for this year if he beats Inoue. But we will see, it's good that you are motivated and have the heart, but Tapales needs to execute everything perfectly on what their strategy to beat Inoue.

That would be a great title for him. Upsetting Inoue is like an uphill battle, but there's always a possibility. We shouldn't lose our trust in Tapales because he is only few of the Filipino champions now. I have to say that Tapales isn't as hyped as Casimero because some fans think that it should be Casimero who will be fighting Inoue. But a win here will certainly put him at the top and make him the best in the super bantamweight division. It would be a huge setback for Inoue if that possibility becomes a reality.
715  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying at 35k? on: October 24, 2023, 12:45:49 PM
Hallo people,

I bought some bitcoin at 26/27/30 and 31k. all profit so far, I am thinking about buying more, but is 35k te expensive to buy bitcoin?

What's your goal? If you're holding for the long term, then the current market hype doesn't matter much. What we're witnessing might just be a temporary market frenzy, and prices could go up or down. No one can guarantee where the price will go, but if you're holding for the long haul, you should be fine.

You bought at 31k, and if you look at it now, that's already an instant profit. But since you're thinking of buying more at a higher price, I assume you're in it for the long term. I'm pretty sure that when the bull run comes, you'll likely enjoy even more profit if you intend to sell. However, as I mentioned, make sure you have a clear goal in mind.
716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Man Who Stole Over 51,680 Bitcoin on: October 24, 2023, 08:14:25 AM
I thought this guy was Chinese, given his last name is Zhong. But his action was careless because  one wrong move, and that $3 billion, at the current price, ends up in the possession of the US government. He probably wasn't fully aware of the potential consequences of his actions at the time because he made a move that could trace his wallet for an $800 withdrawal only. I'm not sure if what they found as evidence against him is entirely accurate because based on his actions, he seems like just a regular guy who, due to a lack of knowledge about the law, made a mistake.

But the good news is that he was sentenced to "one year and one day in federal prison." He's probably regretting it big time, especially watching how Bitcoin has grown since. This article coming out during the bull run must be haunting him even more.
717  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: Fake Emergency aid to Gaza website on: October 24, 2023, 07:27:11 AM
These scammers don't pick their moments; in times of global chaos, they seem to thrive even more. I'd go so far as to say they're worse than the people we condemn for taking lives, at least if we look at history. The latter often have some cause they're fighting for, but scammers are just exploiting the situation.

The OP's effort is a great way to raise awareness in the community. I'm pretty sure that those who aren't newcomers to the market have seen these kind of scams many times before and won't fall victim to them. But still, kudos for the effort, as a constant reminder can help us avoid making mistakes and falling for these scams.
718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am 19 years old boy living in South korea. Please give me an advice on: October 22, 2023, 03:44:48 PM
After graduating high school, I saw bitcoin on youtube. At that time, it was about 60,000 dollar.
I had some research about Bitcoin. I specially watched videos of Michael Saylor. For me, he sounded very logical.
I checked the price, and I could see that Bitcoin is up 45950334.26% since 2009. I thought I am very late to start invest to Bitcoin, but many people said it is early. So.. I am really confused. I receive about $100 a month from my dad. I am planning to use them to buy some bitcoin.
Please give me an advice to be successful Bitcoin investor in the future.

How about going to college? Maybe you will use your allowance to sustain your studies so if that’s the case, then I suggest to never invest in bitcoin for now but focus on your studies first so your attention won’t be diverted into bitcoin. But you can earn a portion of your allowance so you can invest in bitcoin in the future. Although it’s a good idea to invest at a young age, but I don’t think you’re capable enough to manage your losses if ever as that will surely affect your studies as well.

Bitcoin investment is actually for everyone. But if you want to expect positive and profitable outcome, I suggest you start investing when you already have your own source of income. That way, even if you decide to invest for long term, that will never be a problem as long as you invest only your spare money that you can afford to lose. And when it comes to long term hodling, chose to be patient always and have faith on your investment. No matter how unpredictable the price of bitcoin, that will not bother you at all since your trust is bigger than your fears.
719  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If you were to unlearn something about BTC…. on: October 22, 2023, 02:31:09 PM
To be honest, I do not like being wrong about stuff.  Especially when it is something technical or exact, like with Bitcoin or other complex or technical topics.  I have certainly been in situations when I thought I understood something, only to find out I was wrong or didnt really get it when I tried discussing it or starting a thread.

But its all part of learning though.  When I realize I messed up or someone corrects me, I try to see it as a chance to improve.  I appreciate peoples input and try to acknowledge mistakes and correct them.  But usually I avoid getting into talks about stuff I have no clue about.  Its different from just sharing opinions on general things - if you give bad info to someone's technical question, it can really screw them over.

Just like what OP has said, bitcoin is a broad topic and needs a lot of studies and understanding, so it’s normal to create mistakes especially if you are still in the process of learning bitcoin. As long as you admit your mistakes and you’re open to correct those misconceptions so that other people won’t perceive wrong ideas, then it’s very fine. Even professionals do not come as perfect when it comes to learning bitcoin.

However, as much as possible before you try to post something in the forum, make sure that what you have are facts coming from legit sources and not because majority of the people are telling you that it’s the right thing. Remember, this forum cannot tolerate wrong ideas and concepts most especially when it comes to bitcoin. You have to be precise and accurate on whatever you say because that will also reflect about your identity in the forum. Although we are not perfect but at least we try to become perfect on the thoughts and ideas that we instill to other forum members.
720  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You are also like them? on: October 22, 2023, 01:05:52 PM
Watching these YouTuber 'technical analysts' is like witnessing a comedy show. They just scribble lines on a Bitcoin chart and act like they're gazing into a crystal ball. But the reality is, they're about as accurate as a broken clock – right only twice a day. It's laughable how they sell this snake oil, predicting the future with squiggly lines. I wouldn't bet a Satoshi on their so-called insights!
Many influencers have this and those who have no knowledge about crypto will certainly believe them. Well, they are comedy because those who already have experience will just laugh at them as we know the truth already. In fact, even the creator of Bitcoin can't tell which it will be going as the price relies on the market demand and supply. And this is the fact that nobody knows what will happen next and much more of these YouTubers who also don't have any crypto background.
They won’t be so called effective crypto influencers if they don’t act like technical analysts. So these YouTubers pretend to know everything about bitcoin and make wild predictions as if they’ve seen it really coming. But the reality is they really don’t know what they’re talking about since they do their jobs not because they are highly capable and knowledgeable to do it but because they are making a good compensation of it. And only real bitcoin analysts can prove it since they have been in the market for years watching how bitcoin and the rest of crypto works.

However, we can’t generalized this kind of thought because we all know that there are also YouTubers who have been doing their jobs from their best of abilities and skills. They don’t care on their earnings but they focus on more on how they’ll educate the people with facts about bitcoin and the crypto market, so they won’t be blinded by some too good to be true projects that will only scam them in the end.
