701  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hardfork turmoil doesn't look good at all, pricewise. on: January 13, 2016, 03:43:29 PM
Currently bitcoin is mostly used for trading. The majority of these activities happening within the exchanges therefore the "transactions" aren't reach the blockchain. So I don't see any issue with the block size Smiley.
702  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 500 “Migrants” Break in German Nightclub and Sexually Assault Women on: January 13, 2016, 02:30:12 PM
these people need to realize you cant always abide by the law (strictly) when your country is facing this big a crisis. this is literally just gangrape in broad daylight, and next to nothing is being done about it. call it backpedaling, call it unfair, call it discriminatory, it doesnt matter. fix your problems.

I think the situation going to resolve itself. Apart from an economic crisis, the current situation in Germany pretty well resembles to the state of affairs during the Weimar Republic. As in the coming years most likely we will see some sort of economic instabilities we can expect a less intense but similar style backlash as it happened in the early thirties. With the rapidly growing support for right-wing parties the writing is already on the wall.
703  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Without government, would there actually be more theft from the rich? on: January 13, 2016, 02:18:19 PM
Governments used to bring some order into theft, so they are absolutely necessary. Otherwise everyone would erratically steal from everyone else instead of doing that in a nice coherent and orderly way what is good for the society and the economy as well. That's why governments used to punish their randomly occurring amateur competitors, but never or rarely punish professional players like themselves, institutions or corporations.
704  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 500 “Migrants” Break in German Nightclub and Sexually Assault Women on: January 13, 2016, 02:11:39 PM
Thats quite shocking news!! Germany recently announced that they will not allow the immigrants to work or stay who are into crimes. Hope authorities will act cautiously.

According to the German law they can deport immigrants only if they commit some "3 years in jail" worth crimes, but even in such cases they can not send those blokes home if they came from a war zone. So I guess we'll see very little progress on getting rid off these guys.
705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Paid to gamble on: January 13, 2016, 11:49:42 AM
I consider it gambling. Some people said that there are no risk factor as you got that BTC for free. In my opinion it doesn't matter if you got that money for free or if you did something for that (actually watching ads falls to the "doing something" category). That money is already yours, you can withdraw it if you want, but if you risking your very own sats by playing there, then that's gambling.
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Motorola, NXT is Apple on: January 11, 2016, 04:08:24 PM
Motorola died today, just a reminder that the first adopted does not necessarily mean anything in the long term

To be honest NXT is pretty far from being the Apple of cryptoes. You know Apple has an outstanding marketing... Wink NXT is widely unknown and even the few of us who know what is it can't find too much real life use for it.

Maybe NXT is good for the Wileyfox of crypto title. Very advanced, pretty cool and utterly useless because of lack of demand Smiley.
707  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a Gold Standard on: January 11, 2016, 03:57:57 PM
What do you think about bitcoin as a Gold Standard?

Unlikely. Gold became to a standard because of it's been widely know and everybody recognized it as a low-volatility store of value.
About 75% of the world population doesn't even know what the heck is bitcoin and a large part of that 25% doesn't take it seriously. At the current rate even baked beans have more chance to be a standard in the near future than bitcoin.
708  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Oregon Musician Traveling To ISIS Controlled Syria To Sing For Peace… on: January 11, 2016, 02:56:19 PM
As he goes to the Israeli-Syrian border he has a good chance to get back in one piece, but to be honest I wouldn't be very surprised if someone would try to kidnap him.
709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best buy right now is not Bitcoin, it is ALTCOINS on: January 11, 2016, 02:42:13 PM
Altcoins are a pretty risky business but it could be extremely profitable. Anyway, currently alts are not something to invest in, but something to trade. Probably later, when the dust settles a few innovative altcoins will be good investments.
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum has run dry on funds on: January 11, 2016, 01:39:36 PM
They are still in a good position, as many people see ETH as some sort of Holy Grail of the cryptocurrencies what will instantly lift everything to the next level. So the ETH crew needs only small developments and keep communicating to keep prices in a good (or at least acceptable) range.
711  Economy / Gambling / Re: HYIP = Gambling on: January 08, 2016, 12:44:04 PM
HYIP isn't gambling. That's simple theft. The only gambling like element is guessing the time when the operator will run with the "investors" money.
712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can be profitable in the long run! It is possible! on: January 06, 2016, 03:12:44 PM
The theory the OP is probably working in a PVP game like poker but in a player vs casino scenario like dice you basically playing against a sort of "opponent", plus the house edge, while your resources are most likely limited, therefore you have very little chance in the long run.
713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "Why altcoin pump and dump? on: January 06, 2016, 12:04:02 PM
what is the reason of coin owner pump and dump he coin ?

Simple greed. The coin owner/dev pre or instamines (or they can even buy a lot while it's cheap) a lot of coins, then pumps the price and when there are enough interested noobs they can dump it with a good profit. Some ICO coins are a more advanced method for achieving the same goal with less investments (using ICO money for pumping).
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Any Altcoins implement Fixed-Deposit Interest Payments in the Blockchain yet? on: January 06, 2016, 11:57:35 AM
Set minimum stake age for 1 year.  Set annual interest rate at 5%.

Done.

Thanks, but I'm a bit thick. Could you explain a bit more plz.

Yes he's right, every POS coins are paying "Fixed-Deposit Interest Payments". Annual interest rate and maturity time (minimum stake age) are depends on the "configuration" of the given POS coin.
715  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Mideast Allies Drag Us Into War? on: January 06, 2016, 11:41:29 AM
Those Mideast allies wouldn't dare to make such bold moves without at least some "encouraging silence" from their western allies. I think most western countries don't want a war, they just want to use the arabs and turks as henchman and bargaining chips. Hopefully our "wise leaders" keep the turks and saudis on a short lead and don't let them do anything stupid.
716  Other / Off-topic / Re: Last food you ate. (Daily thread) on: January 06, 2016, 10:56:57 AM
Some cold noodles with red chilli paste and chicken... it was terrible Sad.
717  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mass Invader Sex Attacks in Stuttgart, Hamburg on: January 06, 2016, 10:46:31 AM
I think nothing will change. Germans are thoroughly brainwashed people and the left is very strong over there. I think we'll hear some "Do not generalize..." like BS pretty soon. They are on an ideological banzai charge and nothing will stop them till too late.
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [RIP] Altcoins - "It was a thing" on: January 04, 2016, 02:38:27 PM
I think we'll see another big hype and maybe a new BTC bubble around/after the halving. This upsurge in price together with improved awareness and acceptance (in comparison to 2013) will inevitably lead to the next big wave of shitcoins.
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the difference between Monero (XMR) and Bytecoin (BCN)? on: January 04, 2016, 09:48:12 AM
Basically nothing. Monero started its carrier as a Bytecoin clone, but without a ninja launch. Later the XMR guys made more efforts for patching up the flaws in the original BCN code and to make some development as well.
720  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you support or oppose the death penalty? on: January 02, 2016, 08:09:41 PM
Generally speaking I support capital punishment. In some cases death penalty is the most efficient and just way to protect the community from "tyranny of evil men".
