@cydrix. Merited some of your posts.

If I may suggest, after you have spent about $100 or so on bitcoin, try transferring it to a wallet where you own the private keys, such as Electrum for desktop or laptop computers or Bluewallet for mobile devices. Unless you are actively trading with it, using an exchange to hold your asset is a terrible idea [1]. [1] https://cryptosec.info/exchange-hacks/

Right. The forum doesn't send you any notification email for the new topics made on the board you have subscribed to as long as you haven't opened the topic you have already received notification for.
Weird? Every time a new subject on bitcointalk is created, I have K9 Mail set up to receive notifications through email on my Android phone, and it never stops delivering notifications even if I haven't visited the board or opened or reacted to a thread. Here is the filtered topic posted only in Meta. And I am sure that I open new topics thru email only whenever I visit the forum for the first time in the day. @Little Mouse, do you use email aliasing services like simplelogin? Sometimes, there occurs bounced emails resulting to undelivered messages.

Not pretty sure what your question is so I suggest you read [1] https://cryptosec.info/ given you have decided to invest your money in bitcoin for the long haul. Remember that maintaining your financial security and handling it responsibly should and always be your utmost priority. I see lots of people who have long term success investing in bitcoin. for example, like people who bought bitcoin in 2009 and sold it in 2021 when the bitcoin price was high.
While I know that these are the common scenarios from before and could perhaps happen in the future, but still, be wary that there is still a chance that bitcoin would not go up in price. I mean we can't certainly know if bitcoin will reach a hundred thousand valuation in the next decade, or in the next 20 years. I am not saying that it isn't safe but you have other options to diversify your money other than bitcoin. More importantly, invest what you cannot afford to lose.

And that's my whole problem: how would I have held my Bitcoins, without any computer skills, without any desire to sell it, loan it or trade it, ONLY wanted to exchange my fiat in BTC, WITHOUT any third party ?
Other than using bisq or another decentralized bitcoin exchange network, the only other option I can think of is in-person trading, where you meet someone who is willing to exchange their bitcoin for your fiat. However, that is a more conventional approach and can put you at more danger of being physically identified while also increasing the likelihood of a $5 wrench attack during the exchange. Also, even though putting your BTC inside a centralized exchange (it's a transfer of ownership by providing a signature, not transferring your keys) is kinda foolish, you have to remember that bitcoin is multifaceted. This means that people use bitcoin for a number of reasons, one of which is speculation.

Suggest a website with good information and helpful resources about bitcoins that can help first time readers. Suggest a better quote for the stickers. (I will tell them to produce them with different quotes this time).
Personally, that would be (1) https://learnmeabitcoin.com/. Not only it explains bitcoin in a beginner friendly manner but it also provides funny illustrations that will make the learning more enjoyable and interesting especially for visual learners. There are other resources as well: - Compiled resources about BTC - https://www.lopp.net/- Anything related to security - https://cryptosec.info/- Videos - https://youtube.com/@aantonop

I don't remember someone named Mike being a bitcointalk moderator. Plus, the link redirects you to a phishing website. And more importantly, there is no such thing as bitcointalk wallet.
If we're talking about wallet, that would be bitcoin core or electrum. Nothing else.

If you don't have something interesting to say, do not contribute -- that's how simple bitcointalk or any other forum is.
And if you are having a hard time to contribute something, try focusing on 1 or 2 specific areas in bitcoin which you are truly interested about. Deep dive, learn the ins and out. Afterwards, try using the "notify" button for a particular board you are interested in, so when someone created a topic that you truly know, you'll be notified immediately giving you a chance to reply to a thread with 0 to few replies.
I have the same problem and fortunately, that solution works!

Mahirap lang diyan baka maging misrepresentation yung bitcoin in general sa mga viewers dahil sa medyo "gangster" o "mayaman" na theme ng music video. But hey that's just me, isipin ng iba get rich quick scheme na naman yung bitcoin which could eventually do more harm than good. But yeah, catchy naman yung kanta, nakaka LSS

FTX be like: Your cryptocurrency asset only belongs to you, if and only if the $6 billion of asset that are missing isn't discovered by Binance[1]. [1] https://notabird.site/Hyza87/status/1590484789517488128
Kidding aside , I do not fully read it, I just skim that bloody paragraphs that contains important keywords such as privacy, security, countries, fees etc. It will take you years to read such text that are composed of repetitive words that sometimes isn't important for an average user.

Can't vouch for BitBox but I encourage you to look through this post for several open source hardware wallets so you have options. - Open Source Hardware WalletsAmong the list, Trezor is the most popular brand. But I've also read that Keystone and Passport also gains trust from the bitcoin community. I've had my Ledger Nano S and Trezor Model One for approximately two years, and they both still function flawlessly, with the exception of my previous Ledger Nano S, whose OLED screen I had to replace [1] because it started to dull after a year of use. My setup, on the other hand, is pretty straightforward. I only use Electrum in conjunction with Ledger Nano S. And so far, none of my bitcoin were lost or has been stolen. Never tried using an old offline laptop with an encrypted Linux OS and Electrum installed in it though. [1] https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5406622.0I've already looked towards Electrum offline, but they only offer a 12 seed phrase
You can but AFAIK, it is only applicable for Electrum wallet. - Go to View --> Show Concole- Type make_seed(256,"standard")From there you'll be given 24 word seed phrase that you can copy and paste from the wizard. Select File --> New/Restore --> Standard wallet --> I already have a seed

Hmm..So is position trading acceptable for bitcoin and not considered as trap?
I mean you don't have to go through a tedious task of technical analysis on a daily basis; instead, you can look for buying and selling on a much longer timeframe. This way, you can maximize a good return but it will take a lot of patience and a bit of mental strain. Even if you don't sell at peak, there is still a good probability that the price will retrace for buying opportunity.
I don't know, it feels like some people do this trick in accumumulating sats in the long run.

Just a heads up, kahit sabihin nating may free option to play and earn sa game, take note na nagdodownload tayo ng android application package (apk) na pwedeng maging factor for privacy related issues.
