721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Japan Considers Launching J-Coin, Eliminating Cash Before Tokyo 2020 Games" on: September 28, 2017, 04:27:24 AM
Could almost see it coming especially from a country trying to digitise almost everything. Their priorities are very much visioned on long term betterment for the entire country. This would mean that by 2020, streets and shops are going to have digitised payment gateways which seems to be perfect to lead way for other countries to follow suite.
722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you usually do after token sales? on: September 28, 2017, 03:29:34 AM
Patience is the key after buying coins in any ICO. With so many new ICOs surfacing over the last year, its hard to focus on one particular project while there are others which would have had greater progress. Usually the best bet is to hold and wait for the token to begin its implementation stage, follow the announcements closely and have an eye on the overall progress.
In rare cases, if the project is a miserable failure, it's best to sell instantly as it might face the problem of being delisted from major exchanges.
723  Economy / Exchanges / Re: is crytopia a reliable trading exchange? on: September 27, 2017, 12:05:33 PM
There has been some new coins listed but seems like transaction is not going on well.

Been using the site from a few months to trade some of the lesser known altcoins and everything seems to be smooth, at least for me. But I would recommend a bigger exchange if your trade volume is on the higher side, just to be sure.
724  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: XAPO are now allowing people to withdraw their bitcoincash on: September 27, 2017, 12:00:51 PM
See this blogpost:

https://blog.xapo.com/time-to-convert-your-bitcoin-cash-bch/

They're giving people two options a) withdraw the bitcoincash and b) sell the BCH for bitcoin.

But they're setting a deadline of December 14th 2017. If you haven't withdrawn or sold by then, you lose your bitcoincash coins.

It was time that they finally made a stance on Bitcoin Cash and the best part is that everyone who had coins can make a choice to instantly get some quick cash by selling the BCH or holding onto them. Took them long enough to push this move but I'm happy more exchanges are not turning out to eat the BCH they acquired during the hard fork.
725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long did you wait before do you sell your ICO Coins ? on: September 27, 2017, 11:56:13 AM
It all depends on the token that is being bought during the ICO, greatly relying on the roadmap that the development team has proposed. If there are short term, quick goals for the project to lift off, it could have a faster rise in price opposed to the projects which take longer time to implement their ideologies into action.
726  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bounty Manager Salary on: September 26, 2017, 03:16:37 PM
For all the crap they have to deal with, the amount is never enough.

Completely agreeing with your words here, its always a lowball how much campaign managers are paid for the efforts they put in. Imagine all the alt accounts and spammers they have to go through and sideline to keep the campaign tidy and this is only the beginning. Carrying out weekly payments after grading respective campaign spreadsheets and if he is managing multiple campaigns, the job only gets harder to keep up everything.
727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is any way to stop the cryptocurrency market? on: September 26, 2017, 02:10:45 PM
I wonder if there is any way to stop the cryptocurrency market?

If all countries in the world get on par with China's decision to ban cryptocurrency trade and shut down all exchanges, it is imminent that everything will go down to ash. It would be a hard decision to make for countries from their perspectives and I don't see it happening but anything is possible so...
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After Piratebay it is Safebrowse on: September 25, 2017, 01:46:01 PM
More and more websites and services are beginning to play these dirty tactics on their users for free money and its only about to get worse as more sites use these miners. Piratebay mining from visitors staying on their webpage seems pretty okay as they rely on donations to run and keep up their servers but a for a famous service like Safebrowse, it looks like a desperate attempt at tricking its userbase for some quick money.
729  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most accurate USDBTC price on: September 25, 2017, 12:12:25 PM
I would recommend using preev to track the price of BTC as it takes the average price of a couple of renowned exchanges and you can expect it to be pretty accurate. You can even keep an eye on the tab opened on your browser, it would show you the price right there without actually having to move to the tab which is a great feature of preev and actively see the ups and dips.
730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no role in real world on: September 25, 2017, 11:49:43 AM
The same Bitcoin which you believe 'has no role in the real world' began from $0.01 and look where it is priced at today? It is simply because it has been extensively used in daily trade in the real world as well as the virtual world. Its one's stupidity to calling it a failure in the real world, seeing all the glory it has achieved across the years.
731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ICO regulation good or bad? on: September 25, 2017, 11:38:10 AM
From a nation's perspective, ICOs must be regulated or else it would lead to endless funds going out of the country without any accounting and this could be leveled as tax evasion. Having a check on the investors who participate in ICOs or even plain banning them is a country's dire efforts to make its citizens  aware that their money is not safe, how much ever promising the ICO is looking. With that being said, there are still ways to go around these regulations and get some tokens but it comes with great risk which isn't really worth taking for an investor.
732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrop on: September 24, 2017, 07:19:10 PM
Airdropping coins over doing ICOs is a very unique way of token distribution. The majority of control over the coins is held on by the participants of the airdrop and the owner/devs are limited to keeping up a small percentage of coins. Best part about this system is the even distribution of coins, which keeps it healthy over the longer run.
For obvious reasons, airdropping comes with its own set of disadvantages. The main one to be pointed out is the evaluation of the token on exchanges/markets. It gets hard to accurately price a token which was freely distributed.
733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $100 of bitcoin in 2010 is worth $75 million today on: September 24, 2017, 01:44:23 PM
That right there is the power of multiplicity, a force to be reckoned with. Expect it to go even more further and break more barriers as it is heading only in one direction, North!
How I wish I saved the 1 BTC that I acquired in 2014 when it was around $300 and today, it would've been over 10x that price.
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Regulations on: September 24, 2017, 01:08:47 PM
You can expect countries to follow suite with USA did and disallow their citizens from participating in ICOs but I did not see it coming from Singapore. I do not have any details about any of the ongoings about this issue but if you still wish to participate in ICOs as a resident of a country that banned participation, use a VPN which does not store logs and everything should still be fine.
735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What impresses you the most about Bitcoin? on: September 24, 2017, 08:40:44 AM
Bitcoin has been impressive in a lot of ways since it's beginning but the one thing that blew me out the most was the ideology. A foolproof peer to peer online transaction system based on blockchain technology was just a beautiful set of works executed and implemented by Satoshi and no wonder it has already made its mark in every field it is being used in.
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pay hotel stay cost with token (Altcoin) on: September 24, 2017, 08:35:50 AM
A dedicated blockchain and token for just hotel staying might be too much to ask for when there are already establishments accepting BTC and famous altcoins. In any case, if the foundation of the coin is stable and they reach out hotels across many countries, this could still be a decent project given that the dev team works towards this.
737  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think China has halted the pace of bitcoin reaching new high?? on: September 24, 2017, 04:54:46 AM
Yes, as soon as the FUD started gaining ground, it felt like the price fell off a cliff and went down to as low as $2500. Now that the panic sellers are gone, BTC is definitely gaining traction towards its former high and don't expect it to stop there. With or without China, its still heading back to the top and future still seems bright amidst all the turmoil.
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: INDIA (SIT) Suggestion to banned crypto Trading. on: September 24, 2017, 04:35:04 AM
INDIA (SIT) Suggestion to banned crypto Trading in india. because it use in black money and money moment.
Team send final report in month.

Would've been great if you provided a source on the news but none the less, cryptocurrencies are definitely going to be the easy route for the corrupt in the country to swap black money for, which essentially goes untraceable.
Unless everything could be tracked and the governing agencies have control, I don't see this not going through.
739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto payment processor on: September 23, 2017, 05:35:28 PM
This is indeed a great idea which can be used but it has its own downsides. The major downside would be selecting 'n' number of stable coins to be integrated into the payment system and users would always ask you to add new 'x', 'y' and 'z' coins as it gets more popular. The other problem of directly being able to convert an altcoin into fiat would be that if a coin is being dumped hard, that site would be prone to become a dump yard and it would be hard to cease a particular coin's operations after extensive use for a period of time.
740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which ICOs/Coins would do X100-X1000 in 6-12 month on: September 23, 2017, 01:40:34 PM
With the current situation of ICOs and their limitations, it would be really hard for any coin, even potentially sound coins to go x1000 over a year. The multiplier 1000 and above realistically comes into play when a token would go from 10 satoshis to 100k satoshis and even that would be very hard for any coin to achieve. This is almost ruled out when it comes to coins which are above $0.1 a coin as there would be too much hindrances in its path.
