721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: October 27, 2022, 10:03:55 PM
Arsenals game would have easily be won if they were struggling to qualify. With early winnings however, Artetas men were able to relax in these last group stage match. I do hope that in the coming final stages, they make it through without. relenting at all.
Clearly they aren't at risk of an elimination and even better still, they are the top of there group so what there not to be relaxed about. It's a common strategy in the managers play book. We saw Pep and Ancelotti do it in the UCL with Manchester City having a draw while Real Madrid was beaten. Both were unbelievable but it did happen and now, we've had yet another one surface in the Europa League with Arsenal's lose to PSV Rindhoven by 2 goals. Hope gamblers are taking note of these managers strategy to save there players. Be it as it may, Arsenal remains promising or best for the trophy this season.
Arsenal need to save up much energy and keep their players safe from the any form of injury amid the next round. It's a simple strategy as mentioned by @smartvirus

If PSV were unable to get goals or make attempts Arsenal players wouldn't have ended the match without injuries as PSV were eager to strengthen their chance to play in the Europa play-off. There is no stronger contender for the Europa trophy than Arsenal but as Barcelona is joining them in the next round I think Xavi will not want to lose the Europa as well

Will you agree with that in the so-called web2 you don't necessarily need to know what you are doing to make waves on the social media all they are interested more is the traffic and content no matter how it's been presented. It's more easier to excel in the general social media life style once you have the audience.

Perhaps in the forum you need to have good knowledge about a subject matter even if not in-depth but at least enough information to hold a good conversation based on a given thread. The forum is a place where knowledge, patience and discipline is impacted on users unconsciously something you can't get in the web
723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 26, 2022, 09:21:58 PM
played at CAMP NOU against Bayern but Barca still made ZERO "shots on goal", this is a shocking statistic and I can't believe what I'm seeing. one thing I'm thankful for is I didn't make a bet for this match, it was a tough choice when I as a Barca fan had to watch them lose at home. the final result will definitely stay the same = 2-0
It finally ended 0-3 with the last goal by Pavard in the 90+5 minute. Their first game at Allianz Arena was way better than this. If Xavi gets sacked i won't be upset. The same way they were knocked out of Europa last Season by Frankfurt. Starting Dembele for me was a wrong choice of line-up. Ansi-Fati second half performance was far better than the overall performance of Dembele.
724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 26, 2022, 04:25:42 PM
I'm looking forward to the big game in Group C between Barcelona and Bayern Munich, because it's definitely an important game for Barcelona. As for Bayern Munich, the final result of the match will have no effect on them because it is certain that they will appear in the knockout phase. In another match in the same group, Inter Milan will host the weakest team in the group, Viktoria Plzen. Obviously Inter Milan are the favorites in this match.
The fate of Barcelona is highly dependent on this 5 of 6 group stage challenge since they are only able gather 4 points in 4 matches. The pressure on Xavi will be so tensed now. The only expectations from todays match is full 3 points from Barcelona and nothing less else we expect to welcome them in the Europa. Inter will be adding to their points already as Viktoria Pīzen as they will be playing against the weakest club in the group. The expectations from Xavi is high at the moment and we all hope he saves Camp Nou from Bayern invading their defense more often tonight

Bitcoin has seen over +3.85% in the last 24hours. There is a strong indication 26th of October will end Bullish as well, After wards we enjoy a little of range market for a while before the market decides where next to move. A little profit for the buyers and more profit for the holders. Traders will have some fun night tonight especially the day traders who go long most often. After the first two candle stick breaking the morning of 26th it will be more riskier for day traders to join the trend except the 4 hrs candle stick keeps closing with a higher wick and a lower body.
726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: October 25, 2022, 11:16:24 PM
The group F of the champions league in the group stage has already revealed the two clubs heading for the round of 16 knockout stage as RB Leipzig defeats Real Madrid to night at Red Bull Arena Leipzig. There were lots of leakages in Madrid's defense especially in the early minutes of the first half. Leipzig has finally secured the second position with 9 points while Shakhtar will head to the Europa and Celtics will try again next season. I still see this game as a favour Madrid did for Leipzig. But if Leipzig loses to Shakhtar in their last game of the group stage  then they will have to take the place of Shakhtar while the head for the Europa league has Shakhtar will have the advantage of GD over them.
727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win so big on: October 25, 2022, 10:07:18 PM
I stand to be corrected but i am so sure no one will win a huge fortune and avoid spending extravagantly on themselves. A hand full might be disciplined enough to invest but still there will be a very big change in their mode of expenses. Relocating is a certainty because with a big win staying in an old environment might no longer be safe except the environment is secure and protected.
728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 24, 2022, 04:57:20 PM
West Ham host Bournemouth in the last match of the week. West Ham are the favorites at home. I think there will be plenty of goals in the match. West ham will score at least 2 goals. They lost to liverpool last week to stop their bad run. They will take it out on bournemouth this week because they have a match with manchester united next week.
With Arsenal's draw this week, manchester city is 2 points closer.
Yes, West Ham are the favorites in this match, their standings I don't think is a benchmark for Bournemouth to beat this match. Moreover, Bournemouth have a fragile defense compared to West Ham's defense. But I don't think there will be many goals scored in the game, in other words it will be a narrow win for West Ham. And even if Bournemouth can play well then maybe only a draw they will get.
You're right, Bournemouth have a defense that is probably very fragile, so far they have conceded the most in Premier League no wonder West Ham are the favorites in this match. West Ham this season is also unbeaten when playing at home, I also agree that the result of this match will be a thin score between the both because the host will play more tightly like the match vs Liverpool.
Bournemouth has an upper hand in this game West Ham might have the advantage of playing in their home stadium but Bournemouth might have won just one away game that is against Nottm forest but by stat they have a better defense than West Ham who could not secure a draw against Nottm forest and Everton. This is a possible draw match because Bournemouth won't lose to southampthon despite having the possession and still lose to West Ham in a stretch
729  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: is P2SH the most prominent Bitcoin soft fork on: October 24, 2022, 04:26:56 PM
Technically you can pay to any custom script (in your scriptpub). The benefit of P2SH is that it uses the hash of the script so you don't need to reveal that script and also it helps you create an address (something you can't do in P2MS or any custom output script) and give that address to others to pay you.
I was thinking since i can create my own custom redeem script that can be shared with people who will need to pay me using the script  hashed inside another hash that is to say " The script is first hashed using HASH160 then hashed  again with Equal Opcodes to conceal the initial script as you pointed. just confirming if i am not far from the point

That is not a bug in P2SH, it is a bug in OP_CHECKMULTISIG(VERIFY)
I also don't think it was a bug but an intentional "feature" to have an open room for future soft forks where the dummy item is used for something while still being backward compatible.
That means the bug was doesn't need to the removed just for compatibility sake of nodes that aren't upgraded yet.
730  Economy / Speculation / Re: A good observer makes a better speculator on: October 24, 2022, 03:53:16 PM
Its not that this candle was long or strong. Its the scale that makes it looks like that. Bitcoin is locked in consolidation for last 4 months. Volatility is constantly going down. Last 1.5 month bitcoin is going super flat. Thats why as small as 400$/2% daily candle looks so impressive on small scale. But not so long ago we've seen 5x longer candles -f.e 10% daily bullish candle 09.09.2022 19200-21300. Or 10x stronger -4000$ daily bearish candle 26500-22400 (-15%) in 13.06.2022
If it is scale that makes it look like that as you claim meaning there way large amount of transaction in that very 4hrs candle trading time where the body is far bigger than the wick. Be observant enough the last time we had similar candle stick around 0ctober 19' on a 4hrs chart price hasn't close below that very candle you can check your chart to confirm. I am not saying this is a buy signal but it is a call for alertness we might be expecting a small price action anytime soon.
731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulation really inevitable? on: October 24, 2022, 10:28:05 AM
I think that there is a misunderstanding of the term "regulation".
The governments trying to regulate the crypto industry is one thing. The governments trying to destroy your privacy and achieve complete control and transparency over your assets is a completely different thing. This doesn't seem like regulation to me. It seems more like dictatorship.
Of course, all this BS comes with good intentions. Fighting tax evasion and money laundering. Lowering the amount of crypto scams, etc.
The battle against total government control is inevitable. Trying to protect your privacy will become more and more difficult in the future and you might be facing consequences.
Can there be a destruction of privacy if there is no regulation governing the usage of Bitcoin i think the answer is obviously  no. Regulation or declaration of crypto asset  is another way of saying your privacy is compromised, destroyed and taken away. I see dictatorship as the aftermath of the regulation if it eventually actualises. The government are working endlessly to see the get full control of the crypto space since their ban is not having effect at all.

As for the good intents that is been presented before the public just like the money laundering fight on tax evasion, i bet it will still be used against citizens. No matter how nice it is been painted powers in the hands of a central body becomes compromised with time
732  Economy / Speculation / A good observer makes a better speculator on: October 24, 2022, 10:04:05 AM
There are lot of criteria that must be considered to become good in price speculation but i will like to see how far an observer can go with speculating Bitcoin price and maybe some few good altcoin out there. When it comes to speculation been active with price movement and managing greed level can also play a big factor in deciding the level of accuracy and precision once speculation can go this two seems much more easier compared to becoming diligent in observation.

Observation is one aspect of speculation that even the pro-speculator still battle with. We will all agree that price is never consistent with the market because crypto assets are highly volatile and so therefore been observant on the regular changes as regards price, what triggered the change, how much of the effect was seen on the market as regard the cause of the change and how often this change in has occurred in the market.

As regards Bitcoin which has been ranging around $19k for a while now there is a long bullish candle formed on 23rd October 2022 around 18:00 GMT +1 where price moved from $19,200 to around $19,611 before the bearish engilfing candle pushed price down at a resistance zone keeping the trade on till the next day 24th October 2022. It might not be a very significant change but that long Bullish candle is sending a strong future message because since then we haven't seen a bearish candle that has contended with it till date. It can be a powerful signal to keep buyers at alert for possible bull run maybe a short one or a long term push.

Like i mentioned earlier the effect might not be immediate on the price but i believe it is a message for a some positive future moves
733  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / is P2SH the most prominent Bitcoin soft fork on: October 22, 2022, 09:28:17 AM
I learnt it was introduced in April 2012 been standardised in BIP16. With the pure intent of simplifying the security model of Bitcoin using Bitcoin scripting language. Where the  redeem hash provided by the sender must get a corresponding redeem-script from the recipient and a signature script in the UTXO.

Can we call it a perfect transition from P2MS since P2MS is limited to just 3 public keys and will require 2 of 3 to spend an UXTO. whereas P2SH gives room for custom redeem script encircled by HASH160 and EQUAL opcodes of the script hash

if P2SH is replacing P2MS will it be seen as the most prominent or is there a new BIP that has better qualities?
734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 22, 2022, 06:48:31 AM
It could still be that the absence of Lewandowsky has a major impact on this Bayern Munich team. After all, Mane is a completely different player and a completely different caliber than Lewandowsky. Too bad he didn't win the golden ball. Union Berlin - Bayern Munich has already been played in September and that has become 1-1. They will play against each other again in Munich in February. Perhaps an important game, but it could well be (and what do I expect) that Bayern Munich will already have a big lead. I can't imagine Union Berlin being able to keep up this pace like this.
Union berlin seems very consistent at this moment compared with another team. Even bayern munich can't become consistent like union. that's a bit surprising to see that if union berlin was doing well by become a very consistent to win in any match. It can even win against dortmund easily without doubt. I think that if union will become the most potential competitor for bayern to get the trophy for this season. The match between both will be a very interesting to be watched by us
Bayern has been more consistent in other seasons and their consistency comes with big point difference. Union Berlin might not keep up this pace for so long and perhaps Union Berlin is only 4 points ahead of Bayern. February might be too far before we start seeing changes in the table structure. Union Berlin are enjoying the top at the moment but i am certain it won't last long
735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: October 22, 2022, 06:31:14 AM
The Big Match match will be presented in Week 11 of the Premier League, this time the two giant clubs Chelsea vs Manchester United will be held at Stamford Bridge Stadium, this match will also be marked by a showdown for the fourth position in the standings.

Currently Chelsea is in fourth position with a collection of 20 points, but Chelsea is only one point away from Manchester United who is in fifth position.
This Big Match duel will be fierce because Chelsea and Manchester United are in their best form, they both won four wins and one draw in their last five matches in all competitions.

Chelsea who act as the host will try to take advantage, Graham Potter will not let Manchester United get a win at Stamford Bridge because Chelsea's position in fourth position will be taken over by MU. Victory was the target of both teams, but Chelsea were a little lucky because they played in front of their supporters.
Chelsea hosting united in Stamford bridge, let's expect less actions and domination from the visitors because blues will fully dominate the game. Fighting to maintain the top four position, is very ultimate for Graham Potter. But we look at their stats, blues are known to always draw the games they would have won while united very good this season to defeating big clubs. It doesn't matter who's home, what matters is the winning, and players needs to be really serious inother to make their home fans proud.
Manchester United has this special skill of playing against big clubs and winning them comfortably. We saw what happened against Tottenham where they won by 2 goals. On the other hand Graham Potter hasn't lost a game since he joined Chelsea. Out of 4 matches played Potters drew only one and won the other three. Chelsea vs Manchester united will be the fifth game for Potter in the PL and as it stands i don't know what to expect , its either Chelsea retains the 4th position or the lose it to United which seems impossible at Standford Bridge
736  Economy / Economics / Re: Decentralised autonomous global government on: October 21, 2022, 09:04:44 AM
Hi,

I am interested in doing research related to the idea of developing a Decentralized autonomous global government, that is a coded open source entity that would set the rules to how countries, institutions, people and businesses, crypto included, interact with eachother. Well, a global government but without the corruption and inefficiency sides.
When satoshi thought of a decentralised currency many must have proposed discouragement but today it is a big reality. There is no topic that isn't researchable. It is better to try an idea and fail than never trying it out at all.

A decentralised autonomous global governance where every activity is public and append only can be a reality but it will be fought against by many corrupt nations that still enjoys dictatorship.

If this will work then a consensus mechanism will be put in place. Something more advanced than PoW and PoS which may include  a reward system to keep participants in the network committed to been incorruptible. This is a nice research that can have good proceed if looked into.

This way every government agency will have a unique identifier that keeps track of their activities. A decentralised funding system that will ensure the funds are properly allocated and monitored to see it serves its purpose
737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 21, 2022, 07:52:50 AM
Exactly right mate. Xavi is the figure who will run Barcelona's long-term project. Those who suspect that Xavi will be fired may not be because of the results obtained in La Liga but of the results obtained by Barcelona in the Champions League.
I'm sure it wasn't on the fans' minds that Xavi would be sacked from Barcelona. Xavi revived Barca's game after performing poorly last season. came and brought a change, and ended the season well. and the decline in performance in the Champions League should not be the reason for Xavi's dismissal.
if that is done, the president of Barcelona will have to look at the club's problems and shortcomings. Xavi has tried hard last season with the existing squad to perform optimally. Not to mention the issue of unfinished player salaries. Of course, Xavi is working hard to keep the game on a good track.
Barcelona's board of directors won't be too quick in firing Xavi following his quick intervention on the clubs performance last season and on average his performance in the laliga this season isn't bad. It might be sad to see Barcelona decline in performance in the Champions League which has triggered lots of hate reaction from fans but to be frank i have this positivity Xavi can turn things around this dying minutes against Bayern and Viktora Pizén. Inter might not have what it takes to win Bayern but for barcelona there is always hope of a comeback.
738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 21, 2022, 07:30:01 AM
The consideration is whether they are really ready, considering as previously reported, both of them were injured some time ago, especially Pogba, I heard he had a pretty serious injury. It would be more effective to save both of them for the next important match, is the Juventus vs Empoli match today important enough?
Massimiliano Allegri must consider Pogba carefully because he is the hope for Juventus' future change, Allegri's decision will have quite an impact on Juventus
Pogba is back from injury but Cheisa returned earlier and is expected to feature against Empoli. Pogba might not join the line up against Empoli but has resumed training with the squad. We will expect to see Pogba again in action in the champions league clash against Benfica but if not so then in October 29th against Lecce. But for Cheisa if he misses to play against Empoli then he will have to be in the starting ix against Benfica
739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 20, 2022, 08:37:44 PM
Barcelona is in a better position to win tonight game but with the way the match is going am sure their are not going to have a slide winning tonight match with a 3 goals ahead of their opponent it shoe how hopeful Barcelona is to compete with bigger clubs like Real Madrid.
As O. Dembele is starting from the Bench we see how productive Barcelona is 3 goals in the first half against Villarreal. Sometimes it is good to bench some players that looks so irreplaceable that way it will be much easier to know where to make adjustment as a coach.

Dembele has been a major problem to Barcelona winnings in their last few games. In the last few losses Barcelona had they always had good possession of the ball but they were mostly on the losing side of the game. i think Xavi has seen improvement following his new line-up
740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin Survive A Nuclear War? on: October 20, 2022, 08:17:26 PM
Quote
Ralph Merkle’s latest article states: “If a nuclear war destroyed half our planet, [Bitcoin] would live on, uncorrupted. It would continue to offer its services… The only way to shut it down is to kill all the servers that host it. Which is difficult, because many servers host it, in many countries, and many people want to use it.”
If half of our planet get destroyed it means the other half will need to have steady energy source to power mining process and it will also mean the human who are survivors on the half planet must serve as  nodes for the network to function.  Once there is an explosion people will panic and saving a server might be the last thought that will come to peoples minds. If Bitcoin must survive a Nuclear war it relies on so many factors and the basics will be energy (power source) and the web

As for Bitcoin living on i won't doubt that but while it still lives it will get slower for transactions to get verified, cost of mining will multiply drastically, many nodes might forcefully shot down due to the attack and many will lose access to their wallet as explosion will destroy lots of valuables and documents. A big chance for the internet to shutdown completely
