722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]••• SIMDAQ: Platform for crypto trading 🚀🚀🚀 on: December 19, 2018, 09:07:36 AM

Latest update was months ago.

are they not ready yet ?
723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: December 18, 2018, 05:00:07 PM
Whole past month price of AEON was sub 10000 satoshi. It was not this low for last 2 years. Most of those 2 years AEON desperately needed rebase and still it was valued more then right now.

yes, but probably a whale has sold.

what is important appears now the better technical situation of the coin; and higher popularity for exemple at reddit.
also bear market recently "hurt" at the time of financial international crisis, maybe our market is beginning to bounce as a reaction ?

i hope for now that the devs will not be too elitists to get a broader adoption.

the sun rises for Vostok to-morrow morning:

and the video shows that in effect it rises on the waves !

EDIT: now in the top 20 at more than 3 usd.

727  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Web-wallet for bitcoin and altcoins on: December 17, 2018, 03:33:33 AM
What I have is an open source desktop and moblie app called HodLER wallet. It is the only open source multiwallet that could store multiple kind of coin. I don't think if this is really what you need, but this could be one of the best open source wallet that could hold Bitcoin and altcoins even ERC20 token.

is it presently usable ?
728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: December 15, 2018, 03:11:32 PM
Waves shows very good growth, compared to other coins! Why is this growing up? Is this related to the release of a new wallet?

could you read this thread  a little ? would be interesting for you.
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: December 14, 2018, 12:05:48 PM
...............implement crosschain swap with ERC20 tokens...............

it reminds me something:

https://www.ethnews.com/chain-interoperability-makes-waves-on-ethereum

more evidently, ERC20 tokens will be soon available on waves DEX.
730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: December 13, 2018, 07:32:46 PM
WAVES is giving shock to whole community it rising and we can see now this topic more activity than before it attracting new people and when all markets are going down and moving against the whole market situation and that is the reason some people are converting their tokens into this coin.

already 5,200 btc on binance today...

what do you think about this tweet?

732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: December 13, 2018, 10:04:53 AM
STO's will "save" Ethereum and ETH. If proper STO's come, with regulator background, with good exchange backed by a regulator and these STO's will include crowdsale (not just stupid accredited investors) and maybe a regulator forms a new official security formed on Ethereum blockchain - than we have a winner! And I believe this is at the moment most probable outcome. But we are talking years. Even 5, even 10.

there are now competitors in this field, see waves which is largely positive in this bear market;
its STO will be at tokenomika.com, launched in january with deloitte association in Malta.
733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AEON [2018-11-30: update to 0.12.7.0+ ASAP; 0.12.8.0 on Windows] on: December 11, 2018, 01:59:31 AM
Why do you care about "investors"? Surely people that use the coin are far more important than "investors".

Why do I care about investors? Investors are holders. If Aeon has more holders, it will have a bigger community, if it has a bigger community, it will have a bigger chance of success.

I feel like a lot of "investors" don't take part in the community. They just hold on to their coins expecting to make a profit, they don't purchase things with the coins, don't accept the coins as payment, don't participate in the community etc.

Finally, the hashrate itself isn't too important. The Monero network at 500 MH/s would be much more secure than the Bitcoin network at 500 MH/s. One has millions of computer securing it, and the other one has a single 5 year old GPU.
Also, a higher hashrate secures Aeon and that is very important. Maybe you did not hear the news about the Asic resistant coin, Vertcoin?

Sorry, I think you misunderstood what I said (or more likely, I just explained it poorly). The hashrate itself doesn't matter, what matters is how difficult it is for some hostile entity to get a significant percentage of the network hashrate.

There is still more chance of having a bigger community if there are more holders or trapped bagholders hehehe.

Is it really more difficult for GPU farms that can transfer mining from coin to coin to attack Aeon? How does that argument justify what occured with Vertcoin?

citation begins:
In a textbook 51 percent attack documented in a blog post by Coinbase security engineer Mark Nesbitt, someone seized majority control of the Vertcoin network’s hashing power to conduct multiple “reorgs” of the blockchain. The attacker essentially rewrote part of the ledger’s history and then, using their dominant hashing power to produce the longest chain, convinced the rest of the miners to validate this new version of the blockchain. With that, he or she could commit the ultimate crypto crime: a double-spend of prior transactions, leaving earlier payees holding invalidated coins.

734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: December 10, 2018, 08:54:43 PM

precisions for first emission are on vostokone.io
airdrops for waves bearers are not negligible at the emission price.

after that, i understand that there will be 3 entities using waves technology:
-waves platform that we know already, ongoing unchanged;
-tokenomika for registered transactions with kyc, using the same waves
-vostok for industrial uses, using VST

please comment

So Vostok will run on Waves' blockchain with its dedicated token (VST as you said) or they will fork to use their own chain or even fork other completely different chain?

I have not seen a precise explanation, I suppose that VST will run on another blockchain similar to waves, without need for a fork?

wait and see.
735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: December 10, 2018, 04:36:05 PM
What is more secure? Waves client or Waves keeper? "SEEDs and private keys are encrypted and stored within the extension and cannot be accessed by the dApps and services on the web, giving you peace of mind that your funds are always safe from hackers and malicious sites. Completing a transaction doesn’t require entering any sensitive information."
Hello. This question has been answered in Telegram group previousy: "Waves Keeper is just a browser extension which adds a new layer of security just like Metamask for Ethereum wallets for example. You can protect your already existing Client account via Waves Keeper. They both are absolutely safe and can't be hacked itself but only if there's a malware on a victim's device or owner of the account got phished."

Sincerely,
Waves Community Manager

ok, we will wait for its availability to a more secure browser than chrome to use it.

740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: December 08, 2018, 03:22:45 AM

......

EOS coins currently on exchanges are placeholders for what will be swapped to "real" EOS coins once people are free to move their holdings around. The exchanges I know of are taking care of any technical aspects of exchanging any placeholder coins into real coins for people with coins on their exchanges.

......

Additionally, anyone who pre-registered their ETH wallets and are holding their placeholder coins in an officially approved ETH wallet (as opposed to on an exchange), will gain access to any airdrops once the dust settles. Placeholder EOS coins in officially approved ETH wallets will then need to be claimed for real EOS coins once officially approved EOS wallets are up and running.

Remember, ERC-20 placeholder coins were just used for the ICO, and once real EOS coins are released into the wild, they will be their own animal, which means they will not be ERC-20 coins. The ERC-20 EOS coins are just placeholders for the balances people will use to claim real EOS coins once official EOS wallets are up and running.

I cannot understand the motive once more: a good continuum is critical.
Dan does it at every occasion.
if you don't follow closely, you are in the blue after several manipulations like that, and you lose your coins..
it was my case for bitshares, I have an old wallet that still opens, but now I cannot upgrade and it takes a specialist to do it...
How to lose rapidly the laggards...

Did Dan ever post in this thread ?
