Well I don't mean anything like that. What I meant, in simple terms is that, when everyone has already adopted Bitcoin, the growth in value would actually decrease by a lot. Of course, I'm a Bitcoin investor too, and it's value would grow but not forever
By the time everyone has adopted Bitcoin, we will be rich AF. That's if Bitcoin ever gets adopted by everyone for real. Of course Bitcoin won't grow forever. In 2013, it needed an almost 10x drop in order to return to where it is today. In 2019, it needed a drop from $20k to almost 10x lower to return to where it is now. Markets aren't forever bullish. Bitcoin has never been forever like this, it's just an illusion in your mind that it never stops growing up. It does, temporarily, but it always returns to higher and higher levels. As long as Bitcoin's block reward decreases, if the market conditions of today (adoption levels + optimism + no more oppression from govs etc) stay the same or get even better, the price will increase substantially as time goes by. Bitcoin is 2000% up from the lowest point of 2020. It's insane, yet people still don't get it: Bitcoin's death has been called so many times, yet it never happened. And it probably never will anyway!

When you play based on previous seasons, you probably just mess up badly. The previous seasons don't tell anything about this one.. perhaps besides the fact that alt seasons are always quite strong and end up kicking most hands out of the game.
One alt season might've lasted 3 months, but this one could last an entire year. Or less than the last.. who cares anyway? It's not like anyone truly cares how long the last few runs have been. What you can do is just cash out while you're on a profit, because you certainly don't want to be cashing out in panic while all those coins are roughly sliding off the mountain like an avalanche.
Play it smart and don't be greedy.

Keep the seed somewhere safe just in case you remember what coins you had on it. Take a piece of paper and for every coin you've checked through Ledger Live (or a third party wallet for coins such as eGLD which do not work through Live), write its name down on a list. In a matter of weeks at most, you'd be able to verify the balance for most if not all coins and also know which have been verified and which haven't.

Create your own. I barely ever used any other fiat currency besides my local (RON), EUR and USD yet there are 180 currencies in the world. Yours would be even more useless than all those 173 have ever been for me, if you want an imaginable comparison.

Ah, naiba sa-i ia. Am intrat pe link, si tot ce vad e: If you're seeing this message, that means JavaScript has been disabled on your browser, please enable JS to make Imgur work. In orice caz, felicitari pentru initiativa.

Since you're looking for the safest way to do it, I agree with @o_e_l_e_o's answer above. You only get closer to the highest safety/security possible when you eliminate all the potential risks and flaws out of your method. And so far, the only remaining potential security threats is someone physically tampering with your airgapped device which is imo a quite low probability unless you're being watched by intelligence agencies or have some bad actor around. That is unless you somehow mess up yourself and accidentally enter the airgapped device's seed into the online PC, which I believe is something that has a low chance of happening as well.
I would not use a phone because it has just too many backdoors and unknown/non-removable components. A PC is quite modular and you can easily remove or add anything you might or might not need. For me, privacy & security are not only interests but also a fascinating hobby (and now addiction, I guess). Even if you aren't followed by 3-letter agencies, I would still recommend to follow the best security practices as it's more than worth it over the long term. And since it's both fun and safer, why not?

Ehm.. quite weird how you've been in the space for 8 years yet you don't know much about how most Bitcoin attacks could be countered easily with just few lines of coding.
Government bans cannot do much to BTC - India and China attempted to ban it, but it ended up as a failure. 51% attack is a VERY resource-hungry task that is easily redeemed worthless by the community, KYC can be avoided, underground markets usually grow huge in prices and hoarding can't realistically be banned when you have DEXs in existence.
Quantum computing is something that threatens the entire internet infrastructure if such computers were made specifically for hacking purposes (guess this will become something realistic at some point in the near future). Mt. Gox is just an exchange hack that never "stopped" Bitcoin from existing. It was only the people's fault for holding their money on custodial services, or some people were just unfortunate enough to be caught with their money on there right before withdrawing.
I don't think Bitcoin could be stopped. It could have its adoption slowed down or its price dumped heavily to the ground, but other than that.. nothing much can be done to it.

You tend to confuse price with adoption. If you really think Bitcoin has surpassed gold in terms of adoption then you are very much mistaken. Well, I thought it was very clear right from the first sentence of my post that price and adoption are imo the two things BTC has yet to beat. A young person might invest 30% in Bitcoin and 5% in gold, while an older person might invest 30% in gold and 5% in Bitcoin (or any other market considered risky).
This depends on someone's long-term vision and I am certainly not the person qualified to give financial advice. For me, BTC and Gold are the perfect collapse insurance combo yet many others would contradict me. And I see why - hence why my post is half-pro, half-anti BTC. If someone takes their life savings and invest them into something a complete stranger recommended them to, then I think they are bound to lose their savings at some point anyway after viewing some random YT video predicting fortunes out of nothingness. At least I'm not biased. Gold is not something easy to seize unlike what you say. It's a matter to choose wisely how to 'hodl' your gold. In the same way, you need to choose wisely how to 'hodl' your BTC (i.e. not using a 3rd party). All the persons I know, including myself, have their gold with them at home or in a safe place. How could it be seized? The government or a governmental institution coming knocking at your home to say "Hey, you own some gold, we come to seize it" LOL, no way, it doesn't work like that
I contradict you here, history would as well. I don't say it's easy to find & seize, but it's easier to find and seize precious metals than finding and seizing a Bitcoin seed would be. Leaving the existence of this pandemic aside, had I asked you 2 years ago how easy taking away the right to freedom is you would probably reply the same. Well, look how easy it is now. For the good of everyone else or not, it happened so why would the confiscation of gold not?

Besides market cap and adoption, Bitcoin has outright won the battle against Gold in my opinion. Just think about the increase in BTC's price in the last 12 months. Had you invested in BTC the money you currently have in Gold coins & bars, you would have afforded about ten times more Gold today.
As you say, Gold has its own advantages - especially the beauty of those coins and bars. But it truly depends on what your goals are. If you want to be protected in case of an economical collapse, then I think it's wise to have both Gold and Bitcoin in your portfolio.
Gold is easy to seize especially with today's tech - a Bitcoin seed could on the other hand be engraved in a wall and nobody would find out you have one lying in your house. Gold would work tremendously in case of an Internet shutdown - but Bitcoin would do an amazing job during an economical collapse since it would not need tests to check whether it's counterfeit or not. The coin becomes more & more legitimate the more confirmations a transaction has.
If I were to have a strategy, I would probably sell my Gold right away and purchase BTC with all the money. Within a matter of years, I really believe Bitcoin will at least double in price so any extra-dollar means the possibility of re-purchasing Gold at a much higher quantity!
On the other hand, I think a recession is very, very close. If we get into one soon, I am afraid people will feel much less secure owning Bitcoin than they would owning Silver and Gold. With that being said, Bitcoin might actually crash during a collapse (at least initially). If you need money urgently within the first few months of a recession, investing now in BTC as a safe haven might be a very bad idea.
Always remember that Bitcoin has launched during the last financial crisis. It has not gone through one yet for us to know what the outcome would be. Gold, on the other hand, is a known safe haven in case of global financial issues. Therefore, I believe the best strategy if you want a safer insurance is having both precious metals and cryptocurrencies.

Pros of default mobile wallets: may make more people get into crypto & the users don't need to pre-verify the app to verify whether they truly come from Samsung's devs Cons of default mobile wallets: you probably have no idea what the app does compared to the open-source build & there is a chance of getting a modified phone with a malicious preinstalled app if you don't purchase the phone from a safe source.. Samsung already have their own Samsung Blockchain Wallet that is non-custodial and they even partnered with Gemini exchange to enable trading, but I am not sure it's a good idea to have any of this apps as factory default. Not sure how non-custodial the wallet is since it comes as a preinstalled factory app. Unless you verify & build it yourself, there is no way to verify the legitimacy of the app.. is it? Perhaps the preinstalled app has a separate code that sends information back to Samsung's backend servers..

Let's take a look past the financial benefits crypto brings. I think the biggest opportunity the crypto space is currently giving us is the fact that we're all able to be part of the future.
Cryptocurrencies are definitely here to stay and develop rather than just die out. Articles predicting crypto's death have existed ever since Bitcoin's inception, but the only thing they have been able to prove so far is that humans are always rather rejectful about new technologies and sometimes very, very wrong.
The underlying technology and opportunities of blockchain are still heavily underrated and undermined. The more time goes on and the more control-hungry politicians and the Elites become, the more cryptos will be sought after by us, the smaller ants. If you spend enough time in the crypto space, you find out that the existence and development of cryptocurrencies slowly becomes a need. We're able to create something that could turn into a mixture of transparency & privacy, decentralization & immutability and so on - all backed by something that has not only been around so far without ever being disproven (besides a very small number of theories that had a few flaws in them) but also tremendously helped a lot of industries evolve and understand little fragments of the way our Universe works. Maths.
This is an opportunity to be part of what might turn into a revolution of the economical system. A revolution of money. Something that is like gold, but exists everywhere. Not only on Earth - according to the current knowledge we have, math should work anywhere in the Universe. That means Bitcoin could at any point work on Mars as long as there is an infrastructure that is able to communicate fast enough with other planets. Imagine we are part of the revolutionary cryptocurrency system that is bound to become so extended and developed that it will be the way of transactioning between planets or galaxies in the future.
I could go on and talk for so long about what the future could bring us through crypto, but this is the most fascinating opportunity for me. Crypto is the first universal currency. This is an opportunity nobody should miss.

You cannot include a "I am not a Robot" mechanism inside a blockchain. It would clog it up completely, since it would require human input. Best thing one wallet dev can do is automatically skip a seed if it's found to have balance on it - but even that makes things more difficult/resource-hungry. Anyway, the idea is, the chance of generating an already-used seed is not zero but very, very close to it. So close you would probably have a higher chance of winning a millionaire jackpot multiple times in a row than generating an already-used seed and chances are your seed will be empty already anyway. There are 1,461,501,637,330,902,918,203,684,832,716,283,019,655,932,542,976 possible Bitcoin addresses (someone correct my number if it's wrong). There are around 5,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 grains of sand on Earth, according to some math expert. If you took and piled up all the sand in the world and RANDOMLY picked one grain up from the entire mount, you would have a higher chance of finding the same grain of sand twice randomly than generating an already-used Bitcoin address. This is how close to zero your chances are. They still exist, but they're so close to zero it's realistically impossible.

The security of your chosen method depends on your habits. Most people have bad habits and generally practice bad security and based on my experience, the more critical your thinking is and the more paranoid you are, the higher the security you'll be looking for. I'll leave here what I would personally do, since I really think you should always keep a good security practice. The more you don't, the higher your risks of messing up are.
If you want to sweep a paper wallet, the most secure way to do it is on an offline, airgapped PC. For the setup, you basically need three things: two computers (one as the cold, airgapped wallet and one as the online wallet to broadcast your sweeping transaction) and an address to which you want to sweep your BTC. Take an older PC of yours, remove any wireless modules from it and install a clean Linux distro on it. I'd personally recommend Debian or Ubuntu. If you don't want to install it, then you could use it as a Live CD instead (Live CD means everything you do is wiped upon shutdown/reboot). For Live CDs, I'd recommend Parrot OS which comes with Electrum preinstalled (or Tails). (bonus: I also recommend encrypting your HDD; bonus x2: if your future airgapped PC is old or you want it to run a lightweight distro, install Debian with XFCE). Make sure you verify your install file upon downloading it ( Ubuntu verification tutorial; Debian verification depends on the type of download you prefer. After installing Linux on this offline PC, it's time to download Electrum. Download it from here and verify it. Installing ElectrumNow you have to install Electrum on both of your PCs (cold and online). If you want extra security, after verifying the file, you can (in descending order based on security as I see it): - Write the file (and signature, if it has one) onto a CD from your online PC and plug the CD into your now-airgapped computer; - Plug an SDHC/SDXC card (or a microSD with a SDHC/SDXC adapter if you have one around) into your online PC, put the file on it (and signature, if it has one), unplug it and flip the read-only switch so that your file/card never gets modified. Now plug it into your airgapped PC and copy the file there; - Plug an USB stick into your online PC (preferably a stick with a read-only switch), put the file (and signature, if it has one) on it, unplug it, flip the read-only switch and put the file onto your now-airgapped PC. As soon as you have Electrum installed on both PCs, this is what you have to do next: Step 1. You have to work on your airgapped PC to import the private key or seed into Electrum. Step 1a. From your airgapped PC, if you have a paper wallet containing a private key: 1. Open up Electrum and, as soon as you're asked what kind of wallet you want to create, check "Import Bitcoin addresses or private keys" 2. Insert your private key in the textbox. Move on to Step 2. Step 1b. From your airgapped PC, if you have a paper wallet containing a seed: 1. Open up Electrum and, as soon as you're asked what kind of wallet you want to create, check "Standard wallet" 2. Continue by checking the "I already have a seed" option and input your seed into the textbox. 3. After importing your seed, go to Wallet > Information and look for the Master Public Key. It should look something like this: zpub6nXwKjUbuUY8BE2ETiErVgkSJZv5F5Ekz76dDFVzsmhNi26sm2WSkgNX4hmLE1c22q3prLJCcgCrkHyijEXsRb5SfNX5HAezmLVdinX1mTh 4. Scan the code using a barcode scanner or, the traditional way I like, write it down on a piece of paper Move on to Step 2. Step 2. You have to work on your online PC to import the private key public address or the seed's Master Public Key into Electrum. Step 2a. From your online PC, if you just imported a private key into your airgapped computer: 1. Open up Electrum. During the Install Wizard, select "Import Bitcoin addresses or private keys". 2. If you have a paper wallet, chances are you have a public address on it. So, depending on this: 2a. If you have the public address, insert it into the textbox. 2b. If you do not have the public address, go back to your airgapped PC's Electrum and click the Receive tab. On the right side of your window, the public address is shown. Write it down somewhere or scan the QR Code (click the QR Code tab for this) and insert the address into the online PC's Electrum textbox. Move on to Step 3. Step 2b. From your online PC, if you just exported your Master Public Key from your airgapped computer: 1. Open up Electrum. During the Install Wizard, select "Standard wallet" followed by "Use a master key". 2. Insert the Master Public Key into the textbox. Move on to Step 3. Step 3. Still working on the online PC, you have to create the sweeping transaction and export it: 1. Now you should see your balance in your online Electrum. Go to the Send tab, insert the address you want to send your BTC to and push the "Max" button. Do NOT leave it unchecked or you risk losing part of your funds! Press "Pay...", change the fee rate if you will and then press "Send". 2. In the bottom-left corner of the Transaction window, you have an "Export" button. Click Export > Export to file. After exporting it, either: - Write the file onto a CD and insert the CD into your now-airgapped computer; - Plug an SDHC/SDXC card (or a microSD with a SDHC/SDXC adapter if you have one around) into your online PC, put the file on it unplug it and flip the read-only switch so that your file/card never gets modified. Now plug it into your airgapped PC and copy the file there; - Plug an USB stick into your online PC (preferably a stick with a read-only switch), put the file on it, unplug it, flip the read-only switch and put the file onto your now-airgapped PC. Step 4. From your airgapped PC, you have to import the transaction and sign it: 1. In Electrum, go to Tools > Load transaction > From file and select the transaction you just copied. 2. Press "Sign" and export the transaction to File again (Export > Export to file..). Copy the file back to your online PC safely. Move to Step 5. Step 5. Moving back to the online PC, you need to import the signed transaction and finally broadcast it: 1. In Electrum, go to Tools > Load transaction > From file and import the signed transaction file. 2. Press "Broadcast".
There you go. Quite complicated for a newbie, but it's the safest way you can go. From here on, you could safely use the airgapped PC as a cold wallet. Practice good security. It's worth it in the long run.

Nu degeaba vezi in filme atatea tehnologii "Sci-Fi".

Avoid any kind of doubler. Nobody gives you money for free. Don't be silly to think you've been miraculously invited by an internet stranger to double your bucks for free and try to think logically before even contemplating giving them your money. The first thing you should have in mind is that, if someone wanted to help you out, it would make no sense for them to first ask you for your money. Either they give you money for FREE or they don't at all..
