721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Social aspects of online gambling on: January 16, 2024, 11:14:22 PM

It's just my view that most online casinos could do many things to improve the social aspect of their sites. Not sure if there would be demand though.

Many players fall into this category of players who love to socialize while playing as they do at physical casinos, they love to do this to relax while betting, we all know it is always high risk when we bet, some players turn on the sound to relax, some chat on social media but it's different when done in the casino platform with fellow players who you choose to chat.

This is a big difference between online and offline casinos, on offline casinos you can enjoy conversations because you are face-to-face with other players and bystanders there are gamblers who play little in casinos they are just there for the ambiance.

Maybe some casinos will pick this idea and install not only a group chat but also a peer-to-peer chat, who knows we'll see this feature in the future they have to keep their players online, and a peer-to-peer chat is such a good idea so players can chat with a player of their choosing and share tips and methods.
I'm not very active on chats I am more concentrated on my games even though there are platforms I'm playing that are giving tips that I'm missing.
722  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beterbiev Vs Smith January 13 SATURDAY IBF / WBC / WBO LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT Title on: January 16, 2024, 03:00:43 PM

Yep, it's time for both of them to face for the undisputed, there have been talks for this to happen already and now that Canelo doesn't want a rematch with Bivol, the only fight that make sense for him is to fight Beterbiev. Maybe the volume might keep Beterbiev from coming forward, but for sure this is a great fight. Perhaps we can compare it to Miguel Cotto vs Antonio Margarito wherein Margarito was a come forward fighter and then Cotto defending himself by picking up shots. Bivol should need to make this fight in the middle to give him more room to throw his punches.

That would be after Ramadan Beterbiev will take a break during Ramadan and he will resume talks after Ramadan, his promoter Bob Arum assures that they can get into the fight 3 months after Ramadan and possibly in Saudi Arabia, we have seen a lot of great rivalries for the undisputed title but talks are too slow, Arum was the manager of Crawford and he did not materialize a deal against Spence then.
I hope this time he will get the Beterbiev - Bivol to materialize

Quote
"Ramadan is coming. Ramadan ends some time in the middle of April so about three months after the end of Ramadan we'll be ready to fight Bivol, probably in Riyadh," Arum said.

Artur Beterbiev wants undisputed light-heavyweight championship fight with Dmitry Bivol next: 'I need a fourth belt!'
Beterbiev record of 20 fights, 20 wins, 20 knockouts is outstanding but even if he retires with a perfect record there will be a blemish in his record because there is one in standing in his era that could possibly beat him and yet they failed to face in the ring.

The boxing community is hoping that 2024 is the year they will finally meet in the ring and resolve once and for all who is the undisputed heavyweight and possibly greatest Light heavyweight in modern generation.
723  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you pay attention on other people bet and it amount, and does it affect you? on: January 16, 2024, 01:36:23 PM

Lets start with "you pretend that you are good in gambling when you can hardly win". How did you come with this conclusion? Just by watching how much others bet, does not make me a bad gambler. Now really, I want to know how can you tell if someone is bad or good at something just by reading the post?

"you have a problem with your ego, you don't want other people to beat". Another mystery for me. What made you think I dont want others to beat me? I've said I envy their win, but it means that I only also wish to be so lucky and afford to bet such amounts. This isnt like this facts eats me or something. I do it for fun anyway.

Apology for the wrong use of words in trying to make it general among gamblers who do this and its not meant to target you but to make it general among gamblers who pay attention to other people's bets, I emphasize and categorize these kinds of gamblers not you, hope we can move on to this, apology again.
724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you pay attention on other people bet and it amount, and does it affect you? on: January 16, 2024, 12:09:53 PM

That is how the idea of this topic appeared. I watch others gamble, I watch how the bet, I start to think about betting more than usually. Do you have such feeling also? Do you have a feeling that if others make large bets, that you also must bet large, otherwise you would feel like uncomfortable, or feel like a poor among rich, or something of that kind.

If that's the case then you have a problem with your ego, you don't want other people to beat you and you always want to be ahead or imitated, and this kind of attitude or character is difficult for gamblers, you pretend that you are a high roller when you're not and you pretend that you are good in gambling when you can hardly win.

A responsible gambler plays within his bankroll, within his allocated time and he never compares his results and how he plays with gamblers because he understands that every gambler plays differently, they have their level of enjoyment, bankroll, and a time frame when playing and if you're an average player you can't beat a high roller because they back up their bankroll because high rollers are businessman and wealthy individuals.
725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips to avoid compulsive thoughts related to anxiety on: January 15, 2024, 03:41:16 PM

So it's important to emphasize that while resources for self help can be good, they can also do more harm than good in certain occasions, so it's good to remind everyone that if available, the best option is to always work with professionals.

Now with that out of the way, I feel like it's important to recognize that anxiety contributed negatively to his one might approach gambling. First step with dealing with anxiety is to recognize it. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/anxiety/symptoms-causes/syc-20350961

Those suffering from anxiety they recognize it are afraid to ask for help because people might think that they are weak and what they are suffering is ignorable, once you recognize that you have anxiety you need to approach the right people who can lead you to the right medication and people who can guide you to overcome.
People are afraid to open up because they don't want people to look down on them and laugh at their weaknesses so they prefer to keep it to themselves.

I used to suffer from anxiety and it is not good if you don't have someone mature enough to understand you, you will lose hope and become disengaged from things that you love doing.
It's good that I overcame it with the help of the right people. The right medication and right healing can only come from the right people.
726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You'll be a discipline gambler in sports if you have a real bankroll. on: January 15, 2024, 02:22:03 PM
Do you believe that you will be more disciplined in sports betting if you have a dedicated bankroll?

Yes absolutely, how you manage your bankroll defines your attitude toward gambling, you will never be a responsible gambler if you do not take your allocation seriously, this is where gamblers first lose control of themselves.
When they do not know how to stop they never look on their bankroll all they care for is to win and if they lose they want to recover their losses right away.
I always see to it that no matter what happens I manage my bankroll properly it's not easy, you need to motivate yourself and remind yourself when and how to stop so if I put $100 for a two-week allocation I need to make sure that $100 will last until the next payroll to fund my bankroll.
727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: January 15, 2024, 12:50:51 PM
So far this is the result of the poll
Inoue by KO   - 13 (81.3%)
Inoue by decision   - 3 (18.8%)
Nery by KO   - 0 (0%)
Nery by decision   - 0 (0%)
Draw   - 0 (0%)
Total Voters: 16
All of us voted for Inoue to win by knockout or decision, I will be surprised if Nery gets one vote, Nery is good but Inoue is superb I have already said that no one in Super Bantamweight can beat him or even come close to beating him, Inoue will have 2 or 3 fights in the Super Bantamweight before moving up to the Featherweight where the real challenges are.
I'm more excited to see him fight in the featherweight division than here in the Super Bantamweight this is the division where he could establish is legacy.
728  Economy / Gambling / Re: "Exploring RITZ Sports Bet: The Future of Decentralized and Centralized Betting on: January 15, 2024, 12:20:24 PM
Hybrid sports betting house model. This model combines the trust and transparency of decentralized platforms with the efficiency and ease of use of centralized systems. How do you think this combination will impact the sports betting user experience? Will it increase trust and confidence, or are there potential challenges to be wary of?

Additionally, as blockchain and cryptocurrencies continue to disrupt multiple industries, what unique opportunities and challenges do you foresee for platforms like RITZ Sports Bet in navigating decentralized and centralized worlds?

Let's start a discussion about the potential of hybrid betting platforms in the crypto era. Share your insights, predictions and any questions

You did not post the link to this RITZ Sports Betting so we can check if it's possible to have some of the features of centralized and decentralized exchanges, if it is something innovative and will help the gambling community to evolve I don't know if we already have a platform that combined al these elements and features, the community is open and welcome if there is a platform that will pioneer this.
Right now the centralized platforms rule the gambling industry, all the top casinos in the industry are centralized based there were attempts to decentralize exchange to have a piece of the share of the industry, but these platforms failed to generate support from the gambling community maybe one platform will come to change the scenario.
729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drug (cocaine) addicts compromises gambling potentials on: January 15, 2024, 10:47:05 AM

* Is gambling really to be blamed in ruining lifes?
Even though the online casino gambling as influences on the massive audience, I don't think it has been in any strategic or physically enforced a compulsory venture to anyone that he must gamble.
I don't see gambling walking to the players instead the players walks to the gambles so, directly and indirectly gambling has an influence but has not path to be blamed over individuals irrepressible living on their caused of gambling.

For a weak person it is but for a strong person its not, it really depends on the character of the gambler, gambling only ruin weak people, the gambling platforms are meant to be an entertainment portal and strong individuals treated gambling it as such but for weak people its their temptation to fulfill their dream that will not and cannot happen in platforms like gambling.
People are quick to blame gambling for their miseries and these people are weak people who think wrongly about gambling, if you know the fact about gambling and you follow the right path I don't think you will be ruined in gambling.
People who have definition about gambling are the one messed up their lives because of gambling.
730  Economy / Gambling / Re: JustCasino.io | Get the Best Crypto Casino Experience on: January 14, 2024, 02:14:23 PM
The team behind JustCasino.io is fully prepared to launch their casino here they launched their JustCasino.io | Unique Crypto Casino | Signature Campaign Up to $80
We seldom see a casino that launches their casino here in Bitcointalk, with all the requirements completed like a copper account, well well-designed announcement, an active representative, and a signature campaign managed by a reputable campaign manager.
They did the right things I expect JustCasino.io to establish their reputation in a short period if they just focus on addressing all concerns and marketing their platform here.
731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Logic of some gamblers against math on: January 14, 2024, 01:55:48 PM
Hi guys. Someone will explain to me why gamblers have such a strange logic: if a gambler has received a huge multiplier, then he will not withdraw this money. And he will continue to play, saying, "if I'm so lucky, I'll be lucky again now."
But according to the laws of mathematics, the chance of such luck becomes much less, doesn't it?

That's following the old saying strike while the iron is hot, but it does not apply to gamble in gambling once you win a big amount, and you continue to play there's a tendency that you will lose because you are focused on trying hard to recover your losses and winning more.

We all know that gambling is a game of luck and when you're looking for luck most of the time it will not favor you, the house edge will always beat you, and you can only continue playing if you're here to have fun and don't care about your losses, because the house edge will always play out.

In gambling, you need to know your limitations, and you need to moderate your greed, never think that it's your lucky day and you can play all the way and recover all your losses, many have tried and lost their winnings.
732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to manage gambling winnings on: January 14, 2024, 12:05:27 PM
If you're a profitable sports bettor or any casino player, you should make sure to save money for tax time.

In all my years of playing I have never filed or included my gambling in my income tax, because if I compute it for a year of playing I will be in deficit, I'm not good in gambling luck based or sports betting.
This applies to profitable sports bettor or any casino player and we don't know if they will include this in their income tax, I will only include if I win a big jackpot that I think will cover all my losses for one year.
Here in our country our Tax bureau is not strict to gamblers they are more strict to big companies and wealthy individuals so even if I file or not, it will not matter to our tax bureau.
733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land-based Casino Enjoyers are something else. on: January 14, 2024, 11:29:30 AM
I was scrolling on my social media feeds one day until a very close friend of mine showed me a meme vid. We usually send memes to each other as our little way of communicating which I think some of you guys will get, but this one not only cracked me up, it also kind of opened my eyes at how fucked up Brick-and-Mortar Casino Enjoyers could be if they tried.

GIRL SITS AT CASINO SLOT MACHINE CHAIR TO PEE

Watching this "meme vid" or whatever made me curious enough to dig into this little rabbit hole where I see casino gamblers, particularly those who play slot, go bonkers and I mean like literal mental while playing slots. I mean most of them are depicted to even claw at the screen as if it's going to do anything.

I gotta say man, I know gambling for some people is bad but when they say it's bad I didn't think it'd be this worse lol. Oh well, all the more reasons to avoid the land-casinos I guess.

This is called Urinary Urinary incontinence
Quote
Urinary incontinence is the unintentional passing of urine. It's a common problem thought to affect millions of people.
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/urinary-incontinence/

It can happen to anybody online and offline casino gamblers even nongamblers It just that this player did not take precautionary in case she had Urinary incontinence, unusually you should wear an adult napkin to protect you in such a case that occurs in an unexpected place, I must admit it almost happen to me in the middle of a fight between two great fighters I'm just thankful it's just three minutes in a round I have to run fast to get into the comfort room.
If you're going to try to avoid this don't drink a lot and position yourself to the nearest CR

734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another question? Tell me your average amount per bet and your monthly income? on: January 14, 2024, 09:22:41 AM
I prefer not to divulge my monthly income, but my allocation is between 10 to 15% of the monthly income I'm playing in a local casino it's the main casino I'm playing and on casinos where I am staking a token, of course, I hop from one casino to another and when it comes to sports betting I prefer it to be peer to peer with my circle of friends and relatives while having drinks it's easy and fun.

I think my allocation is good for average players because I'm getting my allocation from my extra hours of work, my regular income goes to my family budget and paying bills and my extra income goes to my gambling activity.
735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beterbiev Vs Smith January 13 SATURDAY IBF / WBC / WBO LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT Title on: January 14, 2024, 07:43:09 AM
Here's the highlight of the fight

Artur Beterbiebv Crushes Callum Smith at Home | FIGHT HIGHLIGHTS

It was mauling from start to finish, Beterbiev kept his 100% knock-out ratio the road only led to a title unification against Bivol all the other fight coming for Beterbiev if its not Bivol will be a boring fight, Beterbiev is not getting younger he should chase for a legacy fight not another cherry-picked fight like this.
Not because they are both Russian and they should not fight, more that they fight each other because whoever wins will be for the glory of Russia, so let's see if they are going to materialize the fight.
736  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cashlowinvest.org on: January 13, 2024, 03:36:25 PM
I have been looking at this company as they offer interesting investment returns but they are based in Estonia and have concerns as to their legitimacy?

It doesn't matter where they are based but if the platform is offering a very high return I will consider it a scam, 1.9 to 3% daily is not realistic no bank or even a big corporation will give you that kind of return, this kind of platform will make you believe that they are legit even showing their location in the map where you can trace them or posting their credentials and license.

If you want to invest in a company do it lawfully and do it in your country where you can check the legitimacy of the project not in an online company where there's a big possibility that they will take it down once they receive a huge amount. After all, they know that people cannot trace them and will not go after them, because they are based overseas.
737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a means to an end, Do it for fun and don't take it as a job on: January 13, 2024, 02:19:44 PM
One of the reasons why people easily get addicted to gambling is when they start their journey into gambling just so they can solve their financial crisis.

No gambler should think that you can turn gambling into a job, it's not going to work and it's a big trap and a big lie coming from people from gamblers who encourage you to gamble because you can make money gambling.

Gambling is not the answer to financial crisis looking for a job is the answer, gambling should be placed in the right perspective and that is treating it as a form of entertainment.

Even if there's a big temptation to treat it as a way to make money, new gamblers should not believe what other gamblers are saying about gambling they are quick to announce or post their winnings and have not computed their overall losses, which if you computed is not even half of their winnings
738  Other / Off-topic / Re: Know when to stop on: January 13, 2024, 01:27:17 PM
If you don't know how to do this you will end up losing everything not stopping or taking a break will cost you a lot, it's important that we have to take a time out if we are losing heavily because this is where chasing losses start the adrenaline rush is so high that you can make a careless move of losing your bankroll, by taking a break like a 10 minute break going out to your terrace and taking fresh air will reset your mind from making a careless move.

Our losses come from our uncontrollable emotions, once we suffer big losses we want to recover our losses right away, I have experienced this I have become impulsive that I cannot think clearly because all I want is to recover all my losses and I want it right away,
739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's The Weirdest Alibi Of Gamblers So They Can Continue Gambling? on: January 12, 2024, 03:16:40 PM
Gamblers have a lot of alibis to gamble and they are good at creating one so you can find all the weirdest alibi in gambling the most used alibi is

Quote
I dreamed that one day I would get rich in gambling so I had to pursue gambling to materialize my dream

I heard this a lot of times from gamblers here in our place so they kept betting in the lottery and keno and cockfighting I guess gamblers are exchanging notes about their alibis, gamblers are good at creating alibis because of their defense mechanism and their strong urge to continue gambling, they never run out of alibis and they are innovative in their alibis.
So when you see a guy having a weird alibi about gambling expect that the guy has been gambling for a very long time.
740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What ugly incident or occurrence have you ever experienced in gambling? on: January 12, 2024, 02:00:12 PM

You can tap on the image to watch the full video. It was crazy to see this kind of luck slip from a gambler's hands simply because his device malfunctioned. It was funny to me, but at the same time, it saddens me. I wonder how bad the gambler felt.

Have you been faced with this kind of gambling problem? If not this particular one, what other annoying incident have you ever experienced in gambling?

On that video, what happened was that a dude from South Africa was gambling on a casino site known as Betway. The guy staked ZAR 277.08, and when he started the round, he got about 4,870.24x multiplier, which doubled his staked amount up to ZAR 73,059, which is about $3,900+. he lost the money because he was unable to cash out before he crashed.

In my case, I have not actually experienced any situation like that, apart from the usual disappointment you will experience with a club after you place a bet on them, believing so firmly that nothing will stop that club from winning, but they end up losing.

It's not only frustrating but you will likely have sleepless nights and even ask for professional help because of what happened, Crash game is a great game because of the multiplier and it is so rare to have that number of multipliers imagine 4,870.24x that's so rare and once in a lifetime but not able to cash out because of the malfunctioned of the device.

It happened to me before but it's only a 10x multiplier when I failed to hit the cash-out because I had to leave my phone because a strong wind was coming through a window that I needed to close I was late by a second to cash out, what I learned here is if you're going to play Crash be sure you will not be interrupted by anything.
