It was higher in December of 2013, but that's an old story.

Never mind, that's SHA-256d legacy. I'm not aware of any FPGAs to run NeoScrypt yet.

logtimestamps=1 stakecombine=40 stakesplit=80 Ghost for what is this good?? that's new logtimestamps adds date/time to debug.log stakecombine attempts to produce 40+ ORB stake outputs stakesplit makes two halved outputs if the total amount is 80+ ORB The current defaults of 20/40 ORB don't seem optimal any more, however everyone is free to choose.

Would it be possible to update the wallet with more advanced coin control?
To display input weight or something else? Split in X block option like paycon. A bit easier then to do it manually. You can generate a few addresses for staking and split into all of them at once. Much faster.

By the way, Halcyon has switched to 200% PoS interest yesterday at block 290K, though it makes a little difference to those who are staking. The whole network weight is over 5 million now. It means they are very likely to hit the reward limit of 5 HAL per block either at 300% or 200%.

You can check with WhatToMine.com for the Halcyon mining statistics and profitability.

I have set up new Facebook and Twitter accounts for Halcyon. Feel free to like, follow and share. All important news will be posted there as well. I have also launched a Halcyon team on Slack for various development related talks. If you are a long standing community member and would like an invitation, message me your email address. What new features are you planning to integrate? The development will be discussed on Slack mostly and posted to this thread when it's agreed and approved. I also need someone interested in doing PR & Marketing for Halcyon: communicate with exchanges, merchants, media, etc.

What port needs to be opened on our routers to support an FTC full-node Core Wallet/Client? I know with BTC it is 8333, but unclear on the FTC port.
P2P port is 9336 (for testnet: 19336) RPC port is 9337 (for testnet: 19337)

What's the minimum age to start staking? I have an unspent output of 2287.77 ORB, received 5.2 days ago, with 7931 confirmations, but 'getmininginfo' still shows a stakeweight of 0.
I can't find this information in the OP or on the website, but the top of main.cpp seems to suggest 1 and/or 5 days.
Should my client be staking at this point?
1 day, but input selection for staking is depth based. 10000 confirmations by default, change with stakemindepth in your orbitcoin.conf. Thanks for that. stakeweight is now 9870. What is the purpose of stakemindepth? Is it to minimise the client repeatedly shuffling through inputs when a stake is less likely, or is there some other reason? Just wondering why you would not want to attempt staking, when the network permits it. Low depth wastes CPU time on inputs very unlikely to stake due to low weight. It will be reduced to 5000 confirmations by default in the next release though.

The old feathercoin thread where wolf and a few others where posting.
If you use a NeoScrypt kernel bundled with CGminer 3.7.8, replace it with a newer Wolf's one.

I seem to be getting very poor hash speeds with cg miner 3.7.8 only around 30K/Hs with an Nvidia 660 GTX , is this normal as I have seen others getting way over 200 on the old thread. Can someone help
What thread?
