Several players whose countries have failed in the world cup have returned to their respective clubs and are trying to move on from their hopes at the World Cup. They will try to recover mentally and focus on getting their enthusiasm back in the Premier League. Several players may have been injured, but so far we have found no information that no one is seriously injured. So I'm quite skeptical that there will be much improved performance from each club, at least Arsenal and Manchester City can still compete with each other for the top spot.

I know that rumours of sacking Southgate will start coming up but I think that will be a very wrong decisions if the FA decides that, since he came the system has change he has improved them,the play with more youths and he only selects those that are playing consistently, last time England were in the semi final and at the euros they were at the final now if it was not the defending champions they would have reach the semi final where they would face morroco and that makes it likely that they would go to the final.
I don't think there were any big mistakes from Southgate, or any player as well. Kane lost the penalty, that will haunt him forever. But at the end of the day, both teams are great and only one had to win. France had a bit more luck this time. There's nothing wrong about England, they were good. honestly if I were to be the England coach I wouldn't have given Kane the second penalty kick to take. The probability of scoring the second penalty was very low as I was shouting visually that they shouldn't give the penalty to Kane for the second time but it is unfortunate that nobody could hear me from the front of television. unfortunately i can't participate in the voting because my favorite (the moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou) is not listed. but i don't blame the creator of the pool because who would have thought that this goalkeeper plays such a tournament and shows one brilliant save after the other in every game and brings the opposing strikers to despair ... not to mention the held penalties  and as you can see below, morocco continues to move north and will hopefully conquer france as well   As it stands now the Morroco goalie is set to win the golden gloves and he is also the best African player in the tournament. I can't see how Morocco would win against France. Giroud is having a great performance, Mbape and Dembele didn't impress me against England, but Morocco isn't England. The English team played surprisingly well against France, but the referee didn't give them more penalties. The match between Croatia and Argentina seems unpredictable. Perhaps Croatia could achieve a draw in 120 minutes and win in the penalty shootout. The Balkan team became well known for it's ability to eliminate it's opponents via penalties. Just look at what they did in the last World Cup in Russia. I'm not impressed by Argentina, they were the better team against Netherlands, but I just don't like their style. I couldn't see how Morocco will win Spain but they did it. I could not also see how Morocco will win Portugal but they also did. I don't need to see how Morocco will win Frace before they will do it. One thing I want to say about the Morocco team is that if they remain consistent and maintain their pattern they will also go past France. Morocco is truly a dark horse. Their performances were resplendent and they haven't lost yet. Morocco looks to have a good mentality and they always appear confident against whoever the opponent is, because they have nothing to lose so they can play without any burden and this actually makes their performance look good. If they could just keep playing like that, I think they will have a chance to win against France. Morocco is always careful about their goal post than the opponent's goal post and that is why they go went far the world cup. I now see why Sir Fergie said good attack gets you goals but good defence wins the league for you. France played good football and deserved win last night against England. I think Morocco also performed pretty good (far better than what was expected from them). At this point my bets would be on Argentina and France. I think no more surprises are expected at semi finals. Argentina is better team and Messi will be enough for them to handle Croatia defence and unlock their key. France on the hand has lot more quality midfielders and attackers compared to Morocco. Sorry but, gonna be end of Moroccan dream this round. They may hit 3rd place tho.

Morocco has the support of both the African fans and Arabic fans. They're been supported by almost everyone in the stadium and they're making good use of that privilege. Morocco hasn't played the best football at the tournament but they have always found a way to win games. The biggest challenge will be on the 14th against the current champions. The game against Morocco was a game full of frustration, how could it not be? they played with a very solid bus parking system and waited for the game until the penalty round, they were only lucky to score 1 goal against Portugal.
I'm disappointed, not with the Portugal players, but their manager. I'm disappointed he didn't play Rui Patricio, he preferred to play Diogo Costa even after the mistake he made in the group stage game against Ghana. That is Morocco's tactic. I really want Morocco to win today. The way this team is performing without any star playersis truly amazing.
Very deserving win for Morocco, they worked hard from start to finish and totally deserve a place in the semi finals, the first African team to win in the round of 16 and with a brilliant record of not loosing any game yet, and not conceding any goal except the one scored by their own player, an own goal. I like Ronaldo and it was emotional seeing him in tears knowing his chance of winning a world cup has just ended, but in the game with Morocco, it was either I support Ronaldo or support Africa, and it just had to be Morocco who have been on a very good performance, and so an African team can still remain in this World Cup to continue to represent us. It was a choice between a country called Portugal and Morocco and also an individual called Ronaldo and a continent called Africa. It was so emotional seeing Ronaldo cry, it wasn't pleasing to the sight but the better team won the day. Morocco has never been defeated in the world cup and I am not sure if the Keeper has conceaded a goal. That is the best coach in the Spanish league with a good defence combination. |
