7721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CHINA NEED PRAYERS AND NOT BITCOIN on: February 16, 2020, 04:33:30 PM
Bitcoin and the Coronavirus are completely unrelated topics bro.

Nobody is saying that Bitcoin is the solution to the coronavirus.

Also, what do you think your prayers are going to do? Does it really seem like God is listening? Obviously not, or the Coronavirus wouldn't have appeared to begin with.

What China needs is a strict quarantine protocol to ensure this shit doesn't get out or spread elsewhere any further than it already has.

The Coronavirus is being blown out of proportion, so far it has killed far less than the common cold kills each day, so let's not stress about it too much.
7722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [HIRING] ARTICLE WRITERS / EDITORS / WHITEPAPER EDITORS - ETH PAY on: February 16, 2020, 04:26:03 PM
Lmao, is OP even considers hiring Steemit, Medium and Publish0x-grade writers for this project, then it's obviously going to be a complete flops.

Great writing costs a lot of money, if you pay peanuts or hire idiots, don't expect anything good quality.

7723  Economy / Gambling / Re: IDEA - new concept for strategy game on: February 11, 2020, 06:38:11 PM
I remember there was an ICO with a very similar idea and a pretty cool design.

I've forgotten its name now, but it basically had a jackpot system where if nobody bids higher than the previous amount within a certain deadline, the last bet would win the entire pot.

I'll search for it now and update this when I find it.
7724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about Casino with 0% Edge? on: February 11, 2020, 05:58:34 PM
I think that a casino is the same intermediary as exchanges, only in a casino you can additionally lose your money to the casino itself.
Nevertheless, I have not yet met a casino with zero commissions. All casinos operate on the same principle, which means maximizing profits will be a priority for any of them.
The commissions, as we know, bring a stable and very high income, then why should the casino refuse them, because people will walk smoothly no matter what.

There have been several casinos that have zero percent commissions.

They usually run on a different payment model instead, such as charging on deposits or withdrawals, or requiring a membership fee to access.

I've even seen casinos that simply run on donations, but they never last long.
7725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health 🤕symptoms on: February 11, 2020, 05:34:28 PM
I have read this article: Youth gambling problems: a public health perspective I consider it important for gamblers, Gambling addiction greatly contributes to drug and alcohol abuse and theft. Joining a casino makes you lose a lot of money and smoke a lot of cigarettes and wine, This, of course, will pose a major threat to your health!!!

Can crypto really give solutions to gambling addicts?
-Eliminate drug and alcohol addiction.
-Get rid of bad habits like theft.
-Reducing the risk ratio.....

😉Did joining gambling make you addicted to drugs and drink?!!

Well, I wouldn't say that playing at a casino necessarily guarantees you will make a lot of money.

Remember, the house edge ensures that more than half of players end up losing in the long run. However, for those that do become fabulously wealthy from playing, these other issues can definitely crop up.

Not sure about the theft one though, how exactly does being successful in gambling lead to theft?
7726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC, BCH and BSV halving countdown dashboard on: February 11, 2020, 05:17:51 PM
Hi all,

We recently launched a halving countdown dashboard that offers a simple overview of the blocks and time remaining until the block reward halvings.

Hope this is useful! Smiley

Looks like all three cryptocurrencies have already begun to move up in anticipation of their halving events.

BSV and BCH in particular have gained considerably, possibly because they are due to halve around a month prior to BTC.

Do you guys think they'll dip off after the halving, or continue growing?
7727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Leave gambling, if it destroys you. on: February 10, 2020, 09:04:54 PM
Honestly, to say that gambling destroys everybody isn't exactly the true.

That's like saying don't drink water, because several people have died from water intoxication.

In reality, there are acceptable limits to everything. So long as you stay within those limits, you'll be fine. Gambling is one of those. If you actually stick to the script, and gamble only in moderation with what you can afford to lose, it's no worse than spending your money at the store or buying something you'll never use.

I do agree that it can cause problems, but so can everything that's taken to an addictive level.
7728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, stop when you are winning or stop when you are losing? on: February 10, 2020, 08:23:06 PM
It's definitely easier for me at least to stop while I'm ahead.

I suggest that crypto gamblers have a setup whereby any BTC that they withdraw in winnings to a fiat bank account are kept their - and they only play with the profits that they make or whatnot. That way, you are sure that even if losses accumulates later down the road, there is too much effort in converting the fiat back to BTC to feasibly go and get more coins to chase your losses with.

But both these activities are just as equally destructive. Have a good mindset and you shouldn't ever have these issues.

I actually dont think that would do much to curb the issue.

What's to stop them just playing at a fiat casino? I actually think it might make the problem worse, since they'll then be forced to play at a casino that is even more accessible, thereby fueling the addiction.

I think there should be some sort of bank account option, where users can opt to block deposits to known casino sites. That might work to increase the barrier to entry.
7729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using Locktime for inheritance planning, backups or gifts on: February 10, 2020, 08:03:45 PM
TL;DR
~snip~

Excellent thread.

I was looking for more information on how to lock up Bitcoin for the long-term.

I have the unfortunately habit of selling at the very bottom, only to regret it several months (or even years) later.

Time to forcefully put an end to my misery!
7730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: don't screw with the market with fake stuff anymore: im contacting attoneys now on: February 10, 2020, 08:00:34 PM
Lmao, you better have a crazy amount of money OP.

You're going to have to hire practically every blockchain analytics firm in existence, plus subpoena every exchange, plus deanonymize every privacy coin in order to identify those behind major market manipulations (if they even exist).

Also, do you think these guys racking up tens of millions are reading your warning thread? Get real bro.

I really hope this thread is a troll, but it doesn't look like it.
7731  Economy / Gambling / Re: Need 2 casinos recommended on: February 10, 2020, 06:18:55 PM
My preferred list comes from the EOS blockchain where you don't have any KYC requirement and the player has the option of playing directly from their wallet these casinos are not so popular as the others but they are legit and working for more than a year now. Every bet is recorded in the blockchain for future reference and transparency

1) For BlackJack: Bethash.io which draws the cards from the EOS mainnet block hash so anyone can verify the fairness along with the option of dividend earning

2) For Slots: BetHash.io and EOSplay.com where both of them uses block hash for the result and already paid large winning of $45k in the single bet

Ditto on that, brah.

BetHash is a great casino, the Banker's Bull game is one of the best games I've played lately.

Also, Luckydice.com is pretty sweet if you want a change of scenery. It's basically like a dice game with crazy bonus rounds, definitely worth checking out.

Betller.io

Betller is a Person VS Person cryptocurrency betting platform that offers you to bet on the price movement of Bitcoin.
Bet on a correct trend & Win BTC!

Is there any reason why your ANN images are overlapping one another?

e.g. No KYC, 10 day, 0.8% etc.

Doesn't look professional IMO, I don't know who would agree to such a crazy design decision.

Also, why not just update the old thread?
7733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, stop when you are winning or stop when you are losing? on: February 10, 2020, 05:46:48 PM
For me, it's easier to quit while I'm ahead, than while I'm down.

I think it's just my competitive mindset, I'll often try to recoup my losses by pouring more money in, which has worked out fine for me more often than not.

I know that one day I'll eventually get ruined this way, so I've begun setting strict limits that I won't exceed. It's always better to stop after a win, remember that guys.
7734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Charity Fight Coronavirus on: February 09, 2020, 05:39:08 PM
With the outbreak of coronavirus in China it already killed more than 400 people it is already reported that front line hospitals in China are not getting enough medical supplies.

Hyperchain’s together Fuxing Group, Xiongan Group, and other well-known enterprises are going to launch a blockchain-based platform which is gonna be used in fighting the coronavirus.
It is going to be a donation portal that is going to support medical supply and hospital in China.

Source:
https://cointelegraph.com/news/blockchain-charity-platform-to-fight-against-the-coronavirus-outbreak

Hasn't the Chinese government already got a handle on it? It's a communist government that practically controls the money supply and distribution of public funds...

How exactly is setting up a charity going to help, and why does it need to be accomplished using blockchain?

It would be so much more effective if they just assisted current fund raising efforts to produce a huge donation funnel, rather than splitting it into separate donation silos.
7735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: February 09, 2020, 05:27:49 PM
Why is it the style of Money is still a big deal. His records and numbers won't lie and that's why he still doesn't have any loss. It's annoying but it's effective with his fighting style. I know it that I'm not the only person that doesn't like Money but we can't deny that his style brought him to fame and riches.

His style for him and for the professional boxers does not matter because all they think is just to win and no one beats his style yet.

However the majority of boxer who came to watch his fight does not only look for him to win but also look for him that he can give some entertainment but he is not as entertaining as the other boxers, but no choice people still watch because Mayweather's fights are big games fights.

That's because he just fights defensively.

It's not pretty to watch for the average viewer, since everybody just wants to see a straight up KO, but for boxing aficionados and students, it's definitely masterful to see.

With that said, I am not and will not pay for a Mayweather fight, simply because the PPV cost is always mad overpriced and it never ends in a KO.

Mayweather always wants to win on points, because he knows his hands are too fragile for KOs these days.
7736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you gamble? on: February 09, 2020, 05:00:39 PM
My gaming frequency has lessened a lot quite lately. I would say this has happened because I have lessened my debts to almost zero. I remember when I was deep down to around $700 debt and so most of my earnings went to pay off the debt and hence I relied on gambling to quickly pay off the debts. But now when I can keep most of earnings to myself, it pains to gamble away what little I earn Tongue

Definitely a good thing you did there.

A lot of people turn to gambling to pay off debts, and then start getting wreckless with their wagers, betting more they can afford to and end up getting further into debt.

Sure, some people do strike it big and win enough to pay off their debts, but the house edge wins more than half of the time, so these are fewer than 50% of those that try.

Hopefully you can turn your life around now, and keep gambling to a minimum, playing with only what you can actually afford to lose.
7737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Running an online Bitcoin gambling website on: February 09, 2020, 04:34:43 PM
In almost all countries where BTC is legalised, tax needs to be declared this is irrespective of your earnings. So say, even if you got a way running a casino without a license then you'll still get in trouble when cashing out even if you don't declare it as the amount you'll be dealing will be of a high volume which will flag the authorities anyways. So the bottom line is that you do need a license to operate the casino, otherwise you will run into trouble.

I don't think that tax needs to be declared if it's the result of gambling.

A lot of countries don't tax gambling profits, otherwise that would also mean that they need to give tax relief to people who suffer from losses due to gambling.

Since more people lose than win, that would result in a net negative affect on the economy, while people could also funnel all their profits into a casino to offset any tax at all.

Overall, casinos also operate on the same schedule. They are gambling too, albeit with the edge. Because of this, I actually think casinos might be tax free too.

Definitely need to look into this. Can anybody confirm or deny this?
7738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 100 Days Left before Bitcoin to be more Scarce on: February 09, 2020, 04:13:18 PM
Why do people still seem to believe that bitcoin will become more scarce after a halving?
I'm wondering that myself.  And even with the cap set at 21 million coins, we still have a long ways to go before we reach that, so bitcoin will technically be becoming less scarce right up until the last bitcoin is mined.  I wish either people would learn what a block reward halving really is or at least stop misstating the facts like OP did.

But hell yeah, upcoming halving!  I don't know what effect if any it's going to have on the market, but the last two seemed to have done good things, at least temporarily--or even permanently (and I hate to use that term here) if you consider that bitcoin is now over $9k and it was far, far below that before the last two halvings.  I'm curious to see what happens in any event.

Scarcity will depend on the market, not production. Production has smoothly been slowing in the previous halvings, but most bitcoins are already in the market so things are not changing much, except for miners that will earn less as it has occurred in the previous halvings (mining is less profitable)

So long as usage exceeds the rate of production of new BTC (around 1.8% per year) then there should always be a net shortage.

With that said, if the absolute utility decreases, then scarcity would also decrease as more people want to sell than buy.

I actually think that we'll grow at far more than 1.8% per year though, more like 50% growth for the next several years in terms of users, merchants and transactions, which should overall lead to increase scarcity and price appreciation.
7739  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🎲Luckydice.com 🎲🔥 - ⭐ 100,000 USD Jackpot ⭐ Cashback ⭐ Faucet ⭐ Unique Game ⭐️ on: February 09, 2020, 04:03:40 PM
These are randomly activated mini-games that come from playing Dice.

I don't think Luckydice needs to state the specific odds of each one appearing, since that would take the fun out of it? At least that's my opinion.

I'd much rather be happily surprised to see an extra bonus round, than build it into my wagering strategy—it's just more fun and exciting that way.

well nah.. If you want a surprise than do not enter fairness section and don't read it. Explaining odds of these games and calculation method (provably fair system) is must have in transparent/fair casino. I hope that we will see that soon.

Especially if we know that bonus games are responsible for 8% players rewards -> that's a significant amount that should not be left without explanation in provably fair casino.
We use 10% house edge for base game, but this dice game is not that simple Smiley We have 3 mini-games (Plinko, Wheely, Free Spins) and after hitting one you can win really big (bonus games return ~8% of house edge we got from base game and this verifiable with provably fair algorithm).

Didn't Luckydice just answer the query though? There appears to be a 2% effective house edge (10%-8%).

Or are you saying that this should be clearly stated on the website?

Looks like the team is currently building out the FAQ resources on the website, so I guess a detailed breakdown of the house edge and the probability of a bonus game occurrence should also be included.
7740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: **TAKE YOUR COINS OFF EXCHANGES** on: February 08, 2020, 06:37:57 PM
Hi Everyone,

We need to start telling everyone across the crypto community to take their whole balance of crypto from the exchanges to their OWN WALLET .

That is the ONLY way to stop manipulation. Furthermore, it will create a huge shortage of coins on every single exchange and end up in a gigantic bull run

REMEMBER. Not your keys. Not your Bitcoins

It doesn't help cause a bull run if you take your coins off an exchange. The total volume of coins in the exchange wallet has no bearing on the trade activity on the market.

Could you elaborate on how you think otherwise?
