7921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency In The Gambling Industry: All You Need To Know About Bitcoin on: July 05, 2019, 11:01:52 PM
Privacy or Anonymity, that is the two words that summarize why Bitcoin or any other crypto currencies are used in gambling. I do love gambling, I do it with my friends to have fun but online gambling is different. You know who you are gambling with offline but online, there is a risk that is the reason why people feel safer using crypto currencies. That is also the reason why people don't usually like gambling sites with KYC.

Yes, anonymous transfer and transactions of the BTC across the Lightening Network is one of the major perks of cryptocurrency in gambling. Online gambling has now become such a market that cryptos and casinos are being developed all the time. Cryptocurrencies have made possible for many users to embrace technology and gamble from the comfort of their homes either playing with friends or random people, it makes no difference since you're in for the game/experience and hopefully some profit  Grin
7922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: From Janitor to Millionaire on: July 03, 2019, 10:35:56 PM
This was on the news this week on our local television. A man named Vito Halasan was won a 7M canadian dollars in a draw. He is already on late 50's and is currently working as a janitor and buy lottery tickets for the hope to have a better life. I dont think that this man is lucky but i consider him blessed. They say that gambling isnt the answer to poverty but this man becomes an exception knowing he deserved to won and i know its really for him.

“I buy lottery tickets so I can dream. I dream of being able to take care of my kids and make their future better. Now we’ll be able to buy a nice house for my children and grandchildren,” -  Vito Halasan

In every rule, there is an exception but we also should not compare his life to us. The universe wants to make him win because of some particular reasons. If you devote your money and time with gambling, you will end up with a life completely opposite to him. Hardwork and dedication is really the key.

I think there was no celestial involvement to particularly pick this man (even if he deserved it) or any other higher order but rather pure chance and he just got what we call "lucky". I suppose after buying lottery tickets for what was a few decades ago a lifetime by the odds are relatively probably that  you'd end up getting something in return. In his case, he just got damn lucky and good for him. Though, I do not think this is an example people should use as the outcome is very probabilistic.
7923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you find Success in Gambling? on: July 02, 2019, 10:55:25 PM
Honest truth be told, lately no. For the past weeks my luck has been so unreal that with every little gain the loss was > 2-fold. This has really made me think and reconsider the whole gambling industry. The problem is that we hope to just get that lucky shot but the process is so painful and frustrating that sometimes you cant help but wonder  Huh
What experience do other people have?
7924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iran seizes 1,000 Bitcoin mining machines after power spike on: July 01, 2019, 10:52:45 PM
It looks like Iran was rather invested in crypto - something, I only just learnt. However, the BBC report about the authorities seizing the hardware does seem to indicate to me that Iran is at leat trying to catch the new wave of technology and I hope other developing countries will follow the example set out by Iran.
7925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin remains the king of Crypto Market? on: June 30, 2019, 09:36:42 PM
So far it seems that no other crypto got any close the the market cap of BTC, except for the one fluke ETH did in 2017 and nada since then. I think it will take a lot of capital, relations and advertising if any crypto wants to take down BTC but as it stands right not it seems that BTC is still at the top Grin
7926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Netflix is gonna film documentary about crypto on: June 28, 2019, 03:19:56 PM
I fear about how this documentary will be presented. There are different perspectives of crypto and I just hope it won't all a dystopian type film and present only one side of the story. Though, either way, it would help increase awareness
7927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency are gonna disappear on: June 26, 2019, 10:53:43 PM
This is a useless thread, one that I think was only made just to get reactions. Like, who on Earth on here would agree with this guy? I tell you who, NO Body!!!! Otherwise, we won't be here discussing the future of crypto currencies and predict how the market is going to go.

We’re excited to announce that we have partnered up with 0x, NEM, and Maker for the Picasso token sale!

This is great news and one that demonstrates the power of blockchain within our society. I'm glad that crypto interfaces with art in the best possible way. It goes to show that blockchain has a lot of potential ans can be utilized in almost any industry/sector.

Thank you! From what you are telling me it seems that ethershit's job is to do exactly that? If so then what makes it better? In my opinion a project looking to offer just 1 solution is surely not that great. Could you illuminate me?

I see a large amount of hype about this Ethershift project. Why people like Ethershift so much and what does Ethershiftt give that is different from other exchange platforms. That' is what I'd like to know. Thanks Shocked

Ethershift is a really good project because it allows for everyone that want to buy tokens to buy these tokens before they hit major ETH exchanges such as Binance and Bitfinex. Hope this helps Wink

Thank you so much for your answer. I still don’t know exactly What you mean by ‘it allows for everyone that want to buy tokens to buy these tokens’?

7932  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★ Crypto-Games.net ★ 4 Years Old ★ 58.000$ wagering contest ★ on: October 08, 2018, 03:01:53 PM
Is there a reason why Crypto-games keeps closing investment for BTC and ETH in particular?

I notice that other coins never have their bankroll investment closed, only BTC and ETH.

Seems to be a periodic thing too, is it just because there are too many investors and too few players, thereby diluting the pool or what?
7933  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Paying for education on: September 20, 2018, 01:50:00 PM
Don't pay for this dude, there are too many people trying to make tutorials to grab your cash, when the exact same information can be found free of charge if you know where to look for it. Don't go for mass produced tutorials on Udemy and Coursera, stick with Youtubers that really go to the grassroots on their explanations and you will soon see the correct path ahead.
7934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in ICO this time, yes or no? on: September 20, 2018, 01:48:32 PM
If the team has a genuine utility case for their project then it might be worthy to invest in, you can usually tell which teams are just looking to earn a quick buck by looking at their previous track record. Have they ever produced a business that has gone in to be successful in the long term? If yes, you might on to a golden goose, but the vast majority of ICOs have no idea how to survive long term.
7935  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin reach $100,000 in two years? Bitcoin statistics and predictions on: September 20, 2018, 01:46:19 PM
Personally I don't think that Bitcoin will be anywhere near 100,000 by the end of 2019, there just doesnt seem to be any indicators at all to base this on. I think we might start to see significant growth in 3-4 years when many of the ICOs start moving into real world uses cases. the market doesn't follow mathematical models, it is quite obvious.
7936  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is technical analysis vital? on: September 20, 2018, 01:32:59 PM
Absolutely not, there are plenty of ways to trade without looking at technical indicators, the main thing you need to track is market sentiment, how do people in general feel about Bitcoin at the moment, based on this you can usually tell where the market is heading.
7937  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you make money when the market drops? on: September 20, 2018, 01:32:07 PM
You can definitely short Bitcoin, but I would really not recommend it if you want cryptocurrency to succeed. People shorting BTC on Bitmex is one of the major contributes to the bear run that we are currently experiencing. So if you want short term gains, go for it, but if you want to see your money possibly massively multiply, then just trade bullish.
7938  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: before or after new year on: September 20, 2018, 01:06:11 PM
Personally I dont think it will be this year, probably not even next. I think about 5 years is a safe bet to assume that the market will have fully recovered from this. I mean we are already 9 months in and cant see any sight of improvement in future.
7939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An Epic Journey of BTC on: September 20, 2018, 12:58:17 PM
The trade volume is way lower now than it was last year, we can't expect the value to keep on climbing while there is no real scarcity. I don't think we are going to see a massive price hike until the volume picks up a lot.
7940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency so difficult to understand on: September 20, 2018, 12:48:14 PM
I dont think the concept is truly that difficult to understand, the major issue is actually people who are too ignorant to even try to understand. These are the people whose preconceptions rule their lives and will always be close minded to new things. fuck em.
