What a World Cup this is really! First Brazil and Spain have been eliminated and now Portugal are.

Morocco are really full of surprises. I wasn't waiting for Portugal to struggle this much honestly. Because they had a much different game plan than Spain. But Morocco managed to beat them in even 90 minutes somehow. Honestly Morocco wasted so many opportunities as well while Portugal were taking bigger risks. If those players were more skilled ones then the score would have been worse for Portugal. Portugal just had a big trouble in finding the target (3 out of 11 shots). You mean first time for an African country but yes we are witnessing history.  Honestly morroco should have won by much more they had some excellent opportunities even though they just possessed at a 23% rate.  Portugal just couldn't put anything on frame.  Pete had an excellent chance but his header went wide.  Morroco deserved this one.

It was not a mistake but a deliberate action to put him in the second half because of the way they did to Switzerland so they were playing to do the same. I was the only person that supported Morocco in the local sport hall. And finally I won all the physical bets and also the online bet.

Morocco played well and won. Morocco deserved this win. I would say one of the reasons Portugal lost was keeping Ronaldo on the bench. I say this because Morocco had several good attacks in the first half. And in the 42nd minute of the match they scored a goal to go ahead. Portugal could not attack well in the first half. In the second half we only saw the dominance of Portugal players. They had some good attacks in the second half. Had Ronaldo been with the squad since the first half, Portugal's attack might have increased and they would not have conceded a goal.

I don't really think that it would have made a big difference if Cristiano Ronaldo would have played in the starting eleven today. I mean people just have to acknowledge that Morocco has the strongest defense in this world cup so far and i doubt that Portugal would have created a more good chances to score if Ronaldo would have started. Also he came into the game right after the half time so he had like 40 minutes to have an impact and to score but he did not really have a good scene if i remember correctly.
I would say that overall the win of Morocco was not that undeserved. Of course Portugal had a higher ball possession but in the end that does not matter.

Indeed, Portugal never saw Morocco as a small team in today's match. Both teams are playing great football, competitive to say the least. You Portugal's luck didn't help you today, Portugal tried hard to equalize after conceding a goal, but Morocco's goalkeeper kept making great saves, and in the end Portugal lost. This is Cristiano Ronaldo's last World Cup and it really hurts for him.

I do not trust bitcointalk polls because any pool that does not give you the freedom to choose the particular team or the particular option is not a good poll. Cristiano Ronaldo will not play in the next World Cup as far as I know.  Because the biggest obstacle in his life will be his age as he is currently 37 years old but will be 41 years old in the next World Cup.  So I don't know if any 41-year-old player is still playing the World Cup.  It is said that his age will be the biggest obstacle.

Ronaldo's inclusion in the match at the second half was not impactful so he wouldn't have made any impact too if he had been included from the first half. At the second half, I didn't see Ronaldo doing any individual contributions like we use to know him in the past when he was still young, those solo runs are not seen and this is to say he is tiring out. I guess his shielding out tears is that he won't be in the party next time for Portugal and that he won't have the chance to showcase himself for at least a third place match if they had qualified for the semi finals. Fortunately, Morocco has taken the shine from Portugal and as the first African country to play at that stage of the world cup, congratulations to the dogged side of Morocco even though missing clear chances to score even two more goals occurring from counter attacks at the second half. Meanwhile, I think the officiating was bad against the African side, first there was a ball to hand against the Portuguese side that wasn't investigated by VAR. Again, the red card against Morocco was not fair officiating, a yellow card would have sounded the warning also. And I think the referee allowed the match to go on even when it was supposed to have ended. I saw a 3 minutes extra time given at the end of the 90 minutes but they played almost 9 minutes extra time.
