7801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to 2020, the year of cryptocurrency bull market. on: January 02, 2020, 10:32:56 AM
Other than the Bitcoin halving, there is no reason to think that 2020 will be any more bullish than 2019, or even 2018 for that matter.

Just because cryptocurrencies are an emerging technology doesn't mean that their path will continue only straight up. There will be dips and even large valleys along the way, while it's even possible that might fail to break their previous all-time high.

Most altcoins have demonstrated absolutely no indication they will pump this year, so your words are pretty empty to be honest. You're just fuelling more uneducated plebs to buy and hold cryptocurrencies that will inevitably fail.

Learn to short the market guys, that way you can maintain profit no matter what the conditions.
7802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You should burst this MYTH on: January 01, 2020, 10:34:31 PM
This is a common misconception.

People often think that if blockchain is being endorsed or used by some company, government or individual, this is a boon for all things related to blockchain, e.g. IoT and cryptocurrencies.

This isn't the case, however.

Instead, it is possible for certain sub-industries to completely fail, whilst other sub-industries built on the same tech can thrive. This is why food traceability and supply chain applications for blockchain have taken off, while digital currencies haven't really improved since the release of stablecoins.

Bet on blockchain, not crypto guys.
7803  Economy / Gambling / Re: CasinoCo.com now accepting cryptocurrency for lotto betting. on: January 01, 2020, 10:27:22 PM
It's great to see more licensed casinos entered the cryptocurrency space, hopefully this will allow people in even restricted countries to gamble and potentially multiply their money.

With that said, does your casino required KYC documentation for cryptocurrency players? If it does, then you can expect uptake to be very slow since the vast majority of other gambling platforms don't require KYC.

Also, are fiat and crypto bets mixed into the same pool to increase the size of the jackpot? Or are there separate pools?

Are you completely stupid? Do you understand the purpose of ghostwriting? You are not supposed to tell anybody or advertise that you are the true writer of the content.

How are you expecting to get further ghostwriting jobs after ousting all your previous clients like that?

Truly you must be dull.

7807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Online] Misclicks - Let's hear the stories good, bad, funny on: December 30, 2019, 10:48:55 AM
You really only think about things more in depth when they happen to you I find. Last night was no different, in the end all I could do is laugh. Was playing in a tourney I've had my eye on for a while, took a shot at it a week ago and busted shy of the cash, but this week things were going well. I was 6 off the money (~72 cash I think) and had a healthy stack, I believe 12th or better as this hand played out.
The hand doesn't really matter but I'll lay it out anyway JhQh, flop was 9,T,J 1 heart on the board I believe. 2 players check it over and I figure I'll put in a 3/4 pot bet as I had raised pre. Looking for folds was the plan, or bet through seeing if I can improve to a straight or the flush. You know take my time play the game, not jam it in like a fool.

Now the misclick - I overshot the 3/4 and hit All-In, it's literally a split second before I hit "submit" and I realize as I'm clicking what has happened. It would have been a mistake that I wouldn't have worried about but... the SB that I'm betting into is the only player at the table who has me covered. FML, he snap calls and I look at 99 waving to their buddy in the flop. Brick the turn and river, then just laugh at myself.

Now there is no guarantee I would have made the cash, but baring this incident there was a low probability I was going to battle large uncertain pots until then. I will definitely be taking my time the next session around.

Sucks to be you bro, but it happens to the best of us.

Now, onto the important issue, where are you playing PvP Poker for crypto? I have been looking for a trustworthy site like this for a long time, and still haven't found one to this day.

I've been looking for some turbo games since that helps to filter out all the HUDs people use.

In any case, I've also had some fat finger moments playing poker... Accidentally going all-in against an obvious house and even went all in pre-flop only to get smashed by quads another time. Fortunately these were only low stake games so I didn't have a huge stack, but it just goes to show these mistakes are easy to make.
7808  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: tvplus006 - 100+ List of Scam Projects on: December 29, 2019, 10:45:45 AM
@OP, you might as well list practically every ICO and IEO under the sun.

The default status for these projects should be Ponzi or scam until proven otherwise. They are taking advantage of a flawed fund-raising method, knowing that investors almost certainly won't see a return on their investment.

With that mentality, I would consider ICO/IEO projects predatory at best—or outright scams at worst.

Impressive list though @OP, glad to see somebody putting in the effort to protect the community.
7809  Economy / Gambling / Re: Wixiplay.io is rigged | one in ten million session | fake PF on: December 29, 2019, 10:41:34 AM
I have been playing at this site for a long time trying to win the wagering contests..
I have never once had a winning session. .. any time I try to just get a high wager by betting 1.01x  I'd be lucky to get times 10 my deposit in wager   .. I can understand did this happened once in a while  but to happen a hundred times is not possible and then to have a flawed probably fair system on top just confirms suspicions..  I have requested a complete dump of my playing history... I will do a complete thorough analysis   currently I'm down .1 btc when I should be up a ton from the overlay on the wagering contests. ..  and please remember j had won about .06 btc playing keno the first day it was released.
And I was accused of being a hacker  as the administration stated it should be impossible to win 50x on keno...  and then keno was shut down and since it returned I have had the same luck as.i have always had on their dice  where I just watch my balance go straight down every time

Once/if you receive this data, please do upload it to the community so that we get the chance to review it also.

So far, the critiques mentioned here in this thread really do paint a bad picture about Wixiplay.io—they are going to have their hands full explaining some of these.

As it stands, I can't see any group report thread in the scam accusation section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.80

With that said, I would recommend all those who have been potentially scammed by this platform to create a shared thread to make their case. This will help the community decide whether Wixiplay is a malicious platform that needs to be flagged.

Best of luck!

Why do people play on these new casinos that only offer the same games as elsewhere, e.g. Dice?

This is a genuine question... Wouldn't it be safest to just play at an established platform like Crypto-games, Primedice, Windice etc?

I could understand if it offered some unique games, but this particular case doesn't, so what's the deal?
7811  Economy / Services / Re: Looking to Hire Crypto Trader on: November 12, 2019, 06:08:51 AM
Hi everyone,

My name is Bisola and I founded one of the most respected crypto education publications in the space: mycryptopedia.com

We're looking to hire a cryptocurrency trader to provide crypto signals for Binance and BitMex.

If you're interested then please feel free to pm or contact me on telegram at: @BisolaAsolo. You can also email us at contact@mycryptopedia.com.

Many thanks.

You need to be careful with this. There is no way for anyone to verify the accuracy of these "crypto traders" which you are looking for. Something tells me you yourself do not have the experience and that is why you are looking to hire others.

I would suggest setting up criteria or a sample questionnaire to at least give you some measuring stick to see the quality of the person that you are hiring. Good cryptotraders that are trading round the clock, would definitely have no time for an underpaid gig. Which brings me to my 2nd point, what is your budget? You need to mention that as well and save a lot of time for people.

Why on earth are you advertising your Fiverr gigs here? This is a cryptocurrency forum. Please understand how this forum works by researching a bit about it. I'm surprised that no moderator nuked this post of yours yet.
7813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much Money You Need To Win To Stop gambling, Is This Possible. on: November 10, 2019, 05:57:46 AM
If I manage to get a nice and comfortable house with 2 cars, a sports bike and a stable business, I would say $10 million is enough money to win to have me set for life and never look back into gambling again. However, I don't play for the jackpot anymore and just play for the thrill of it, and I guess most of us here are like this. The more one chases the big winnings, the more careless and rash they become, and so the more gambling seeps into their very cores, causing them to lose and lose almost all the time.

To do all that you need a steady job and not pin your hopes on making all of that through gambling. Because sir that would be silly.
There is no certainty with gambling. Imagine you have collected 90% of the money required for your house and then the next day you gamble and lose it all. Imagine the shock!!

I say, instead you should have small monetary goals that isnt too easy and neither too far off. If you do not do that, then you simply are not willing to give up gambling and that is a fact you have to admit to.
7814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much Money You Need To Win To Stop gambling, Is This Possible. on: November 09, 2019, 04:43:27 PM
Yes I would say it is possible technically but I can only speak for myself.
If I ever won £50k or the day when my cumulative earnings reach £50k. (Mind you not dollars)
I've not quite reached even 10% of this milestone. I am sure I'll get there in the next 10 years. And then bye bye gambling!
7815  Economy / Gambling / Re: introduction on: November 09, 2019, 01:13:43 AM
You need to spend some time and understand how to better present yourself.
Take a look at the hundred other big sites in your niche that are advertising in this forum and take a look at how they are setting up their introductory page. Also called an Announcement Page (ANN). What you have here is not that great at all and your site is way too laggy, at least here from England. So do yourself a favor, take all the criticism from here and go back to the drawing boards and come up with a better game plan.
7816  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Need sell on: November 09, 2019, 12:51:33 AM
Hello, i have 0,5BTC and i want to sell this, but i dont known where i can sell.. anyone can help me?
i can sold cheaper than worth it.
if anyone can help text me on telegram @Bettingservice

Smells like scam.
No one is going to message you on telegram only to find out you want the buyer to pay you first only for you to disappear. Come on dude this kind of scam attempts are too common and you are wasting your time if you think anyone will take your word for it.

On the odd chance I am wrong, prove yourself by postnig a signed message from the wallet address that has your BTC in it. Else just get lost.

I just came across this site. Saw the Peercoin guys talking about it.
Can someone tell me what is different here? Seems the only way I can get in is by registering with email.. which I do not want to go through just for the sake of checking them out.
7818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: generating unlimited address from same wallet ? on: November 08, 2019, 09:53:30 PM

I guess i'm lucky this isn't my project because i'm already getting anxious from just reading this. How exactly are you assigning a deposit adress to each user? "randomly"? I just don't see how you can do this efficiently with electrum... anyway... just curious.

yes i used just that when the above gave python loop, and yes i already did that successfully, and i did it without demons or rpc.

basically i created a tool to derive keys from the master key and now each address is mapped to user id  so no address is reused and cause confusion, while i can still do the bulk transaction to and from the address.

and it would be still working well with electrum, mind that it takes considerable more time loading transactions from 1000 address, anyways i will be trying 10000 address next !  ill post updates here !

I really don't get it.
How is your mapping of addresses to each user id going to prevent reuse? If that is the case then the user could simply redeposit in that address and have the balance show up for him?
I really don't understand why you want to waste $880 on an experiment that could be done for free and still give you the same observations.

Why on Earth are you posting this on Project development when you should be posting this in Altcoins bounty campaigns?
And I don't think you can stand at the end of 2019 and call your brand new crypto coin the first of anything. Especially not the first deflationary coin. And with you intermingling the word deflation with inflation is giving me some serious headache.
7820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: generating unlimited address from same wallet ? on: October 31, 2019, 07:48:56 PM
Cant you use checkgap api? and generate new addresses only when they unspent ones are paid? Like by creating a transaction on the last unspent address? Although this can turn out expensive and messy to maintain.

I recently upvoted a solution to a similar question. Read here https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/74410/blockchain-address-gap-limit-solution
