7641  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can trading be likened to gambling and how so? on: July 21, 2022, 07:02:20 AM
I personally feel gambling is entirely different from trading and can't be used interchangeably as gambling is pure luck while in trading you have to look at whole market and make strategies to move further and make profits. In gambling you place bet and rest depends on outcome while in trading you choose the coin and money you want to invest on and you can make profits out of them.So this is my approach but it could be different from others.
I cannot really bring myself to agree with you on your idea of gambling being different from trading. When it comes to gambling, you are placing a bet and the rest depends on the outcome of the bet you have placed, and in trading you choose the coin or asset that you want to invest on and you can make profits out of them depending on what’s the outcome, and in both of them you hardly know what would be this outcome right?

So, I kind of have a little disagreement with you on this, because both gambling and trading have some similarities, they both involve giving off an asset in risk of expecting something in return of a desired amount.
Trading and gambling are brothers, they both involve giving out money in expectance of profit or a bigger money. In both of them you can lose all your money and people are advised to only trade or gamble with what they can lose. In trading even with high knowledge of charts, the market movements do change that can make you lose, so it looks like gambling because you put your money in what you cannot control.
My question is, someone that knows how to trade can be said to have a skill, can a gambler be said to have a skill?
7642  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the possibility Bitcoin will rise before the end of the year ? on: July 21, 2022, 06:49:01 AM
it is very difficult to predict the price of bitcoin at the end of the year. but I think now is the time to buy bitcoin. and I think the bear market is coming to an end. and will turn into a bull market.
It is difficult to predict the price of the bitcoin by the end of the year, but with how bitcoin has been working from years, I have an idea how the market will work. Bitcoin will increase and also decrease and it will continue in that method and the price will systematically be going up. One important thing I am sure about is that bitcoin will not a new ATH this year, it might not even happen next first and second quarter. We are expecting a major bull run by 2024/2025. So anyone who wants to invest in bitcoin should check out long time.
7643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 20, 2022, 08:38:32 AM
According to the news on AS, Atletico Madrid have already contacted Ronaldo's representatives for a deal. He is getting closer to Atletico Madrid day by day. This is going to make Manchester United fans really disappointed because they must be waiting for him to stay at least one more season. I was also expecting this to happen but he suddenly changed his mind after not qualifying for the Champions League. I don't expect Manchester United to make difficulties for his transfer either.

https://en.as.com/soccer/cristiano-ronaldo-insists-on-leaving-manchester-united-and-keen-on-atletico-madrid-move-n/

Manchester United takes no trouble and lets Ronaldo do what he wants. But does Ronaldo really want to play for Atlético?
For a football player who wants to become a champion in the Champions League, teams like Chelsea can be a much better alternative.
Maybe Ronaldo wants to show his strength and achieve great results with Atlético despite his age Smiley
No one actually knows what Ronaldo wants. I personally think that Ronaldo doesn't know what he wants either. This is because he got everything and still trying to get nothing. If he doesn't want to settle with Manchester United, he could be very unlucky and end his career in a shameful way. I will advise he remains with United and if he doesn't want to play anymore, he should leave the stage when the ovation is high.
7644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: July 20, 2022, 08:33:45 AM
Amazing thing really happened this morning. Woke up this morning and opened my Twitter, all I saw trending is #KoundeIsBlue. It's rather obvious that Blues fans really need Kounde in Stamford bridge this summer but it seems Barcelona are winning the race to sign the centre back. However, other big teams are also interested in signing the player. Therefore Chelsea have to act as fast as possible in order to avoid losing him to another club.

One thing I love about Chelsea is that they make their chase and get it. Any player that they are interested about, they go for him with a full chase and get it without much delays. This was seen in sterling and also in Koulibaly. If Chelsea is really interested in Kounde, it will not be a problem or a difficult situation for them to bring him down to Stamford bridge. Having Kounde and Koulibaly will be a strong line of defence for the blues.
7645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 20, 2022, 08:27:28 AM
Gambling without money builds false hope and confidence in you. Luring you to try the real gambling. It convinces you that you now have great skills and therefore you will do well when use the real life account. There is no how one will derive maximum satisfaction in playing and winning but not withdrawing any money. So gambling without money is a pure bait to lure you to the real gambling.
7646  Economy / Gambling / Re: hello Players!! on: July 20, 2022, 08:22:56 AM
The only gambling industry in the current bearish market is moving at their own way. At this time every gambling site is sophisticated. The first thing that attracts gamblers is the design of the site. Then they try to understand what is inside it. I can't access your site but it seems that the mentioned script may be from an old site or it can be restricted for some countries may be.

I still find it difficult to understand what you mean or should I say the point you are trying to prove here. The site has nothing to do with the bearish market so I don't think gambling can be affected in any way. The design of the site alone does not attract people to gambling sites rather the thing that people are attracted to more is the bonus that is given when you play or as a new user of the site when you fund your accounts before staking your bet.
The bearish market directly and indirectly affects gambling. When we enter into the bull market, you will see how many newbies will be jumping into the gambling industry and also many new gambling site would be launched. This is because the gamblers will always have money to gamble, the gambling sites would have money to promote their company. The bear market is always bad for any business that uses or that is related to cryptocurrency.
Then there is no relationship between bear market and site design.
7647  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the possibility Bitcoin will rise before the end of the year ? on: July 20, 2022, 08:16:42 AM
Last year I predicted Bitcoin will rise above the value at the start of the year and I was totally right about it, in April Bitcoin eventually reached a new all-time high price of $64k. Bitcoin added about 72% of its value as it  increased drastically before it eventually started falling back in May till September. I don’t really know how this year is going to turn out now because of the present dip. But I just hope it increases, that’s why I’ve been advising so many people  to hold their Bitcoins and even buy more now cause it will surely rise again.
Bitcoin ATH is above $64k. You also said that you predicted the price increase last year, you could use the same method to predict again this year. But it is not always easy, correct or advisable to keep predicting bitcoin price in short term. You will get it wrong or get deceived. Always look at the long term target and make your investment. You can only focus on the short term if you are a day trader who needs the chart every time to place trades.
7648  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you look down on Bushy or undeveloped areas? on: July 20, 2022, 08:09:33 AM
In my opinion, if someone offers to sell the land, and the land is in a remote area, I think it's a good opportunity to buy it because, in the future, the price of land will be more expensive, but what is certain is that the place and location must be surveyed first. good potential for the future or not, if it's good, we can buy it.
The real estate is a business that is everly profitable and it has never failed when done nicely. Buying of landed property is actually profitable, this is because landed properties are fixed assets. The land itself will always appreciate no matter how long it might take. If you as the buyer does not enjoy it, definitely your children will.
There is a method one man I know used, there was a community in crisis and everyone flew the community. But the rightful owner of the land sold the land for small money because of the community crisis. 7 years later the crisis was over and government came in to develop the community and price of the land in the community was so much high. At any time be it war or penury, smart people always take advantage.

I understand two things from Op, it is either he is promoting the said YouTuber, who could be Op or someone related to him or he is simply asking for guidance.
If the former is the case, this method of promotion doesn't work well, it can only make some curious people to view the link and never return.
But if the later is the case, and if it is not paid subscription, follow the predictions for sometimes without betting and if it works give it a trial.
7650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can change of environment have an effect on gambling addiction. on: July 20, 2022, 07:34:47 AM
Environment can affect many things in the lifestyle of someone. It can affect the way the person reasons, it can affect the way the person behaves and also affect the type of business someone does.
If a drug addict goes to a Sane environment where there is no drug to buy, he will suffer for sometime and gradually adapt to the new environment. Same thing can be said of gambling. But with online gambling and a forum like this, a gambling addict will not change since he could always come online.

Point taken. Environmental changes could really make someone ponder and reflect on some things. Perhaps it could also alleviate the urge in some people to do the usual things they do because of the situation. An entirely new environment means they have limited option and ways to do their hobby. Hence, they are forced to adapt from the sudden transition of their surroundings.

However, addressing the issue just on the tip of it will not solve it totally. Gambling addiction is a serious case. It shouldn't be taken lightly and it should be addressed from the roots to treat and completely heal it. It's not an overnight process. If we're just going to change environment, eventually, a person addicted in gambling will find his way to go back in gambling.

You are right, I think it is largely related to the age of the gambler as well. If it's a gambler who barely provides anything for him, such that the gambler is somehow dependent, the urge could reduce once taken out of the environment. But this cannot be said to someone who provides for himself and has money to do whatever. With money in hands, one can easily make new friends in a new environment, one can easily find new ways to do things.

Then I agree with you, addiction isn't treated on a fly or based on assumptions, a very thyrapic, counseling and other works  need to come to play.
7651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People are not only gambling to win but they are buying entertainment on: July 20, 2022, 06:55:30 AM
I see some people set targets in gambling. They will be like before this month ends, they will make $5k. This is a bad habit because gambling is not a kind of business that you will improve promotion and make more money. It is the gambling owners that need to set targets and meet them when the increase promo or improve strategy. The more we don't put our bills on gambling the better for us. It is not good to rent a house and hope to renew it with gambling money.
7652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People are not only gambling to win but they are buying entertainment on: July 19, 2022, 08:19:42 AM
What the psychologist said in Op is very correct. Gambling to some people is a kind of entertainment and it is this entertainment that leads to addiction in gamblers. If gambling is strictly for financial gain, the gamblers who loses everything would have done some appraisals at some point and understood that they are lossing and not gaining and then stop. But because of the entertainment and addiction part of it, they would never appriase, even if they do, they can't quit.

7654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Gambling be Banned? on: July 19, 2022, 07:50:21 AM
Gambling is a business to some people, it is also a means of generating revenue to some people (the government), it is a death trap to some people (children) and it is also a bad habit to the addicts.
I do not support that online gambling should be banned but it is necessary that it is regulated and ensure that children under 18 doesn't get involved.

It is a simple Web site design with simple UI. It is fine but the appearance is dull and not appealing to the sight. With my plain experience in UI, the major cause of the dull or unpleasant appearance is the black background. The background needs to be an active faded color and it will show the beauty of the site. Among everything ensure that your site is scalable (not slow) because it one thing I hate most. It could even make me smash my mobile if the pages are loading slowly.
7656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does FTM worth to invest? on: October 23, 2021, 11:40:22 PM
I'm not familiar with FMT but I've been seeing some hype and more concerning the community and project they are building on and with the low price of the coin, I think is the best time for buying.
Is best to be early than late I'll say
7657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins have the potential for growth? on: October 23, 2021, 11:26:48 PM
Polygon and stellar are cool with good backup. I think the stellar community is even much bigger than that of Polygon and very transparent with educative coders. I've been involved with stellar for a year plus  but with respect to your topic I think they are better coins out there with better potential, like NEAR Protocol, Vulcan forged, skyward etc. I've been involved with ref since may while the coin was around $1.8 now you can see the growth with that short range, same goes to PYR
7658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to find high APY (staking)? on: October 20, 2021, 11:08:37 PM
Hello everyone

I have heard a lot about staking and Yield Farming. But there is one problem, I do not know where to look for similar projects. I have traded on binance and participated in staking there several times.

For example, yesterday I started staking NEAR on binance. The APY is about 54% there, but it will last a few days. And I would like to stay longer. I've been trying to find the stakes that suit me, but I haven't found anything at the moment.

That's what I'm looking for:

1. Not a very risky pair of assets

2. APY above 30%

3. Small fees

4. Fast Blockchain
NEAR? I think NEAR has better place to stake aside binance though is not bad staking at binance but you can get some juicy rewards at metapool where you stake and get a token called $META and some cool rewards at Ref finance where you stake near add liquidity to a coin called paras and get double reward in paras and Ref . Cool and helpful I guess
7659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Altcoins and it’s potential 21 (Drop Names) on: October 20, 2021, 11:03:45 PM
Thanks for this nice topic, I appreciate the fact you gave credit to solana. At $3 dollars a friend of mine said sol is trash to be at that price but now sol prove many people wrong and am happy to be an early investor. About NEAR I bought at $2.1 and I held till $10 before I sold and I'm still thinking of getting more NEAR because the potential and friendly ecosystem drives me in investing... Just staked some NEAR at ref finance and am already getting a copple of hundreds ref already good farm pools they got. Lattice I don't know much about but Vulcan forge (PYR)  I know little about their games and NFTs that's another small coin with big potentials.

Early birds which I knew I would have bought 1000sol back then
