7361  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending bitcoins on a car. Car depreciate while Bitcoin appreciates. on: January 27, 2019, 02:29:39 AM
U go to buy a car with bitcoins but to find out ur car depreciate in 3 years. While holding onto bitcoins the value of ur bitcoins appreciate. Just a speculation. Taking risk at an extreme. Trading ur bitcoins for a car. Hah . But Bitcoin doesn't always sky rocket in value every 3 years. Or does it.

The fact that you are willing to buy a car using bitcoin as payment system or as a form of money is already a positive thing to do. But if you treat your bitcoin as form of investment then that dilemma sets in.

But if I'm given the choice, specially if I really needed a car, then I will used my bitcoin and not regret even if the price goes to the moon. There are also cases when let's say you buy bitcoin at a cheap price and then the price skyrocket, making you tons of money, then you buy a car, it's already a win-win situation for you.
7362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the main problem with the crypto market at the moment? on: January 27, 2019, 02:23:16 AM
The collapse of BTC pushed people away from cryptocurrency, before people saw only growth and began to take interest in buying it, and now everyone is selling cryptocurrency, and new people do not come after all, it has become risky to invest.

BTC didn't collapse by the way. I am a YGGDRASH believer and this is not my job to defend Bitcoin however BTC is at 3597 which is higher then its bottom at 3130. So we are in a bull market already.
Your statement is not accurate at best.

I disagree though, Yes the current price is above the all time low but it doesn't mean that we're in the bull market, not by a long shot. The bear still control although I believed that they are in near exhaustion right now. But it doesn't mean that the bull has taken the market from them.

When we say that we are in a bull run, the price is picking up everyday, just like we have seen in 2017, we started below $100 and ended up at $19k. But this 2019, the price continue to fall at some point then followed by a quick recovery then goes on a long sideway pattern.
7363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Philippines' PH Resorts Group gets regulatory nod for $350 million share offerin on: January 26, 2019, 11:38:18 PM
.. snip ..
Win-win situation when we do talk about on how to upgrade or do help to lift up PH economy and with this thing it will really surely affect on both sides.I remembered
this current administration do hates gambling but they might able to revert it back due to possible benefits which isnt bad at all.Gambling would only
give out negative effects on a certain person if he wont able to control it out and theres no right for us to blame out the government on letting them operate on such place.

I guess the administration really weigh the pros and cons before giving the go signal. If I'm not mistaken the crackdown was on the "illegal gambling" in the country ordinary people got addicted specially in the rural and poor provinces that's why the effect is really negative. But this time, its gonna be legal and ordinary citizens can't just go there and gamble their small money.

Governments aren't going to say no to easy money.  They would rather make these types of businesses legal and generate a lot of new revenue.  Prohibition didn't work in the United States back in the day, the best solution is to make it legal and tax the hell out of it.

Yes, this is what I'm trying to drive at. I'm sure that the government will put heavy tax on casino operators and generate new revenues, thus driving the economy even better.
7364  Other / Off-topic / Re: How can corruption be ended in today's world? on: January 26, 2019, 07:04:58 AM
I am reading everywhere about corrupt governments, corrupt police, corrupt law, etc.
How can regular people put an end to this?
Do you think there ever going to be a "clean", free of corruption world? People with no financial interests?

I'm sorry to tell you that corruption will be a never ending problem in our society. Even the most advance country in the world, you can find lots of malpractices specially in politics. This is like asking for peace or total cooperation for difference and opposing nation, it won't simply happen.

However, there are ways to fight it and bring those corrupt officials to justice. At least people recognized that this is a universal problem and because corruption erodes our trust in the government.
7365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Project Initiators and Team need KYC more than Investors on: January 26, 2019, 06:59:44 AM
It could be but the problem is that this is a free market, those ICO that pops around can do anything, but the thing is that this community has exposed a lot of them specially nameless and faceless project, and I don't think they are willing to do KYC, and that is the sad part.

For those investors who have been ask for a KYC, my simply answer is that if you're not comfortable sharing your information then skip and look for other projects that don't enforce this KYC thingy.
7366  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Jump in with trend and get out with the trend! on: January 26, 2019, 06:55:26 AM
everything just luck , you just haven't realize it yet. our decision just under a higher dimension of  “Random walk”。 manage your risk, you can't manage your profit.

I think you're not getting the point here. What we are saying is that how can a higher being influence the market price? Yes, luck may play a role but that is not within our control.

Everyone should focus on the tangibles, i.e. trading pattern, technical analysis and other indicators that will help you make a good trading decision. So what if you lose in this game and this jump in/out trend doesn't work in the long run? Do you have God to blame for that?
7367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats Is Preventing SEC To Approved Bitcoin ETF ? on: January 26, 2019, 06:31:30 AM
There is no secret.

The simple answer: Crypto market is prone to manipulation.

And the way crypto exchanges are structured which may not fall or cover by The Laws That Govern the Securities Industry.

So there's a lot of technical details behind, not just looking at how many bitcoin ATM's around the world or nations adopting it.
7368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Philippines' PH Resorts Group gets regulatory nod for $350 million share offerin on: January 26, 2019, 06:24:49 AM
Why not? Philippines economy is not doing that well as compare to it's neighbor and maybe putting up casino's will help a lot because it will open doors for investors to come in plus a lot of jobs in the horizon.

Duterte's has a lot of controversial decisions in the past, like state extra judicial killings, but this one I would say I agree with him because its a win-win situation for Filipinos.

I remember @avikz opening a thread about the Benefits of gambling? Yes - it exists!. You can also read it because it is related to this topic as well.
7369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The death of Ethereum is inevitable? Can ETH on the price of $100? on: January 26, 2019, 12:55:32 AM
Why another thread on the death of Ethereum? It has gone down due to the market correction just like all other coins so nothing out of ordinary about that.

You can't blame them, because Ethereum condition was far more worst than bitcoin. It even bottom at around $80 so that's a huge lost from this previous all-time-high. Specially that it have been kick off by XRP at the number 2 spot.

The topic of Ethereum's death or replacement keeps coming regularly. Do not see why a topmost project like Ethereum will die. Cannot see it happening in next year or two at least.

Yeah, I don't think that Ethereum will just collapse or something. Dev is still active and have been pushing for a hard fork although it was delayed till next month to fix the bug. But it doesn't mean that Ethereum can't recover. Remember that everything is possible, we don't know what will happen in the net two years. We might see another all-time-high for all we know.
7370  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Building a small Greyhat group, Much profit, Free mentorship and methods on: January 26, 2019, 12:38:35 AM
In other words, another pump-and-dump group? We have so many right now I would even say that the market is saturated.

Any proof that you have made thousands of thousands of dollar in short amount of time? What don't you keep the secret for yourself so that you can go and earn even more?

What makes you different from all other groups? Offering it for free? (I doubt that).
7371  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2019-01-25 - Samsung Galaxy S10 to come with a built-in cryptocurrency wallet! on: January 26, 2019, 12:33:51 AM
Thanks for the share up.! I already read up some leaks about S10 launch but i didnt able to read up about on having a cryptocurrency wallet. This would be good for those people
who do have plans to upgrade their mobile phone specially to those who do have knowledge about crypto and this phone is a plus but i dont see that this would be the selling point. Its just an add up
but isnt a bad recognition of samsung company though.

Exactly, I have been reading news about this S10 on lots of tech related websites and I can't find any one of them mentioning about this new release having a crypto embedded wallet or something so this might be just a marketing.

And I have said in the previous thread, I would go and buy hardware wallet which cost less than this high end phone, plus it will be always online so it's not safe at all.
7372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin related cartoon on: January 26, 2019, 12:22:21 AM

Subscribed. I have a brother who is a animator so I would definitely show him this video. (Although he is reluctant about bitcoin.)

Where do you get information about Bitcoin? Do you watch Youtube video's or just read the daily news?

If I feel like browsing Youtube then I go and watch crypto related videos specially analysis and stuff. But I usually go on crypto news aggregator like https://faws.com/ to look for news and everything related to crypto though.
7373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALL Initial Coin Offerings are Trash on: January 25, 2019, 10:59:06 PM
Maybe there is a small percentage of ICO that really do have some real usage in life. But I would agree that the market has been overrun by scammers since the boom in 2017.

It's just so easy for those criminals to create a project, but a eye catching title to it, copy someone's whitepaper and then get photo online. But this community as of late has contributed a lot of calling fake and scammy projects from the very beginning, so at least they could be stop before they can collect funds from unsuspecting victims.
7374  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Price Defends $3.5K After Cboe Pulls ETF Proposal on: January 25, 2019, 05:19:50 AM
I think everyone should differentiate withdrawal from rejection. When we say withdrawal, it means the CBoE will just re-apply if everything settles down in the side of US government. A eventual rejection will dose all hopes and that might have a negative effect on the price.

Right now the withdrawal doesn't mean anything for investors though, that's why their no significant dent on the price, imho.
7375  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Jump in with trend and get out with the trend! on: January 25, 2019, 04:38:13 AM
"Friends When you trust the trend, you just find God, because the trend is God, there is no other God. When you trust it, drift with it, we are in harmony with the trend, in harmony, with the same pace. This game is eternal - with the trend, with the trend - this is an eternal game."

I'm aint an atheist or whatsoever but i do completely disagree with this line.Dont depend on God or do rely when it comes to investment. We say He might have the part but majority would really with our own actions.
Jumping on trend will be on our choice and also getting out with it.Skills and experience would be the thing will help us on when to get in and get out on the best possible scenario.

What has GOD something to do with the trend?

So definitely don't involved religion here, I mean gamblers can also call divine intervention to gave them huge money, but it's not the case.

So I agree with @milewilda, this is really a bad advise, so I don't know if the OP is kidding or he is that serious involving God in crypto trading. Improved, gain experienced and take note of every mistakes you have so that you will have a higher chance of winning in this game instead of trusting everything to "higher ups".
7376  Economy / Speculation / Re: FRUSTRATED AT THE MARKET. on: January 25, 2019, 04:30:15 AM

Yes, the market is now very bad times and it will not end quickly, well, below of course it will not fall, everything will be spinning at these prices, well, maybe in the summer growth will begin

To be honest, I'm already tired of waiting for changes, I go to the stock exchange with some hope that everything is fine there,
Alternative markets are good option if trader are get bored by one specific financial market. Forex trends are more stronger and reliable than other markets. Crypto markets are stuck to somewhere between downtrend tendency and stabilization so no movement no trading for me.

Funny you mentioned forex because I used to do forex trading years ago and definitely I made tons of money as well. But I have been attracted in crypto simply because of its volatility and wild price swings. So if you have experience in other trading platform then definitely transitioning to crypto will not be difficult.

However, this bearish trend get me boring as well, so I might take a short break and see my friends in forex and talk to them specially how they're doing at the moment. But me tempted to go back again, so we will see. I still love crypto trading, but I'm going long and will just HODL for the meantiime.
7377  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Saudi Arabia Government launching their own cryptocurrency similar to Ripple on: January 25, 2019, 04:24:01 AM
UAE and Saudi Arabia are all set to be the new crypto-hub in the middle east by launching their own Saudi-Emirati Pilot cryptocurrency. The Saudi-Emirati cryptocurrency is one of the seven initiatives that will be implemented by both countries. The use of the newly formed cryptocurrency is for Cross Border payments.

https://blockmanity.com/news/saudi-arabia-and-uae-launches-a-separate-cryptocurrency-for-banks-to-facilitate-cross-border-payments/

Honestly, I'd not trust such a source. Any similar update article on Coindesk or some other trustable source?

Correct, we really need to learn to read between the lines as a lot of crypto related websites will just post anything about crypto without any verification, all they wanted is for people to click it for ad revenues.

So I didn't read the news but for me, it doesn't make sense for a country to create their own crypto backup currency, I mean what would be the advantage for them? To put (high) taxes? What countries should do is to regulate and adopt crypto or even take advantage of Blockchain technology.
7378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: white paper. !! on: January 25, 2019, 01:41:37 AM
For those who are not aware, Bitcoin whitepaper has been translated to several languages already, so if English is not your first language then you need to go and visit this link:

https://bitcoin.org/en/bitcoin-paper

It's been translated to 13 other languages already. You can also follow this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5099967.0

So I urge everyone to take a look at it and maybe you can translate it to you native tongue if it hasn't been translated yet.
7379  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ready to Jump in Crypto. Again! (Looking for Advise) on: January 25, 2019, 01:30:36 AM
Hi from Bangkok to everyone!)
After a 24 hours flight, Im landed with some thoughts.
I have a many reasons to be here in this forum.
And the main of this i have a money for crypto projects!
My last experience was not successful, and others not ideal too.
So, now i feel that i'm ready for new experience!

I'm just curious though, how did you lose your money? Did you invest on a scam ICO?

I don't want to lose my money again. Im looking for stability projects without xxxxxxx-profit but with selfmanagement options. (pryvat keys and etc.)
I'm a beginner forum user but thinking about security all the time! )) Especially last 2 months.
It can be not a cosmic profit but stable.

Glad that you're conscious about security.

The mining is not a profitable source at this moment. ICO is dead and not popular as some time ago. Also I don't have a lot of free time for trading.

So i need your opinions, advises and maybe partnership from profi and beginners. Huh
I think that now is a best time for cryptocurrencies investments because its very quietly time.
Maybe i'm wrong, but i feel it like a calm before the storm.

My only advise is just go long on bitcoin. It doesn't mean you need to buy 1 BTC right away. You can just purchase small portions and see how it goes for you. This is the perfect opportunity to buy because the price is so cheap, and then let it sit in your wallet for at least a year or two. Goodluck to you.
7380  Economy / Speculation / Re: We must work together to crash the price of all coins on: January 25, 2019, 01:16:42 AM
We're way pass December now and I didn't see any significant drop until now so I think it safe to say that OP failed on his plans. Spreading FUD this way won't work as it is not enough to influence the market as well as even if you have a group that can off load 100 BTC it is not enough for it to influence the market maybe one exchange but not all of it. Panic selling starts when I whale off loads their holdings and of course the weak hands will follow the wave so groups like this on big market cap coins won't work. Maybe if you are working on a shitcoin you can short that trash.

Exactly, I guess the weak hands had left already and what's left in whales or speculators and really know how to play this game. Right now, it seems that we have touch the bottom already, as support around the $3500-$3600 is strong.

We even have news about a hack exchange, or even the Bitcoin ETF proposal by SolidX withdrawn and still the price didn't move negatively, the price is even on the green right now. I guess FUD isn't working as it used to be.
