7381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ALL in CALL in Cardano JAN 2019? on: January 24, 2019, 05:09:55 AM
It went as high as $.080-$1.00 if I'm not mistaken last January 2018 and soon followed by a lot dumping, so just like the rest of cryptocoins, it also suffered a huge lost but it doesn't mean that it can't bounce back.

What are your plans though, going long?

As long as you just invested what you can afford to lose then I don't see any problem with that. As you have said it has a lot of potential so yes its a good coin to invest specially if you're it in for the long haul.
7382  Economy / Speculation / Re: FRUSTRATED AT THE MARKET. on: January 24, 2019, 04:59:33 AM
The 2017  bubble was indeed an expensive learning  experience.

You cant call that a bubble because a real bubble means it pump and it dump down to zero or in short it has exited unto scam . but in the case of crypto . the year 2017 is only a normal year where crypto shows a sign of recovery and it continue until the coins reach their new ath's  .

But at that point, bitcoin is really going on a parabolic rise that upon closely inspection, it was a bubble waiting to be burst. Some might not recognized it, but I'm assuming experienced traders and smart investors really knows what going up to that market at the end of 2017.

Now after it .  the next years were kinda bit frustrated because the movements of the coins are pretty confusing .  one time they are stable and after the next few days they will drop then the next few weeks they will increase a bit and then drop again .

And this is where it gets more exciting, after the burst, people don't know what to do, they continue to sell offs pushing the price down to a all-time-low (ATL). So for those who are not familiar, there's also this thing called ATL, but don't be scared though, this market works on cycle so after the capitulation, we might see a good recovery, it may go on months or years, it doesn't matter, eventually we will go and hit another all-time-high.
7383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: January 24, 2019, 04:43:40 AM
It looks like Manny Pacquiao's returned in US is a success.

https://www.boxingscene.com/pacquiao-broner-show-tracking-toward-400000-ppv-buys--135645

I'm sure that Floyd is looking at this numbers to see if Manny has still the power to bring fans to watch him fight. But I don't know, I have a mix emotions still, I guess the ball is still on Floyd to make the decision. Seems Manny is already set, but Floyd? maybe a little bit hesitant to say the least.
7384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High or Low Supply: Which do you prefer? on: January 24, 2019, 04:33:45 AM
When it comes to picking your altcoins, do you take into consideration coin supply?  And if so, do you prefer high or low supply coins?

Definitely low supply coins because of the potential to make it big down the line. But you also have to take in consideration the project itself though. Does it over real life usage? Who is managing from behind?

Of course, low supply. But, I have seen lots of such coins turn out to be a scam.

Some scam projects use term 'low supply' to bait buyers.

Exactly my point, perhaps those scammy projects know that lots of potential investors look at the supply that's why these scammers will go this route to bait a lot of investors, and the next thing we know, they exited already.
7385  Economy / Services / Re: Escrow Services on: January 24, 2019, 03:40:11 AM
You started with the wrong foot here dude. Starting or offering a services with BoA name of it? I'm pretty sure you already see a lot of violent reactions here. lol.

We already have a lot of trusted escrows here, and if you wanted to become one, I think you need to fall in line because this community have seen so much scams that everyone is really attentive specially coming from a newbie account, sorry to burst the bubble for you.

https://cryptonews.com/news/after-cryptopia-hack-2-000-wallets-still-might-be-at-risk-re-3247.htm

Here you go. So there's a lot of other exchanges involved as well. And its also interesting to note as per article:

Quote
According to Elementus, Cryptopia has not been very quick on the uptake even when the initial breach happened. Not only did the hackers take their time siphoning out the funds - over a course of almost five days - but Cryptopia seemed powerless to stop them, even though they should not have had these issues. A plausible explanation is that the exchange simply lost access to the wallets - a total of 76,000.

What the hell? A exchange losing access to their wallets? It seems that Cryptopia has a lot of explaining to do with their investors and account holders as well.
7387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BitForex exchange- is it safe? on: January 24, 2019, 01:09:56 AM
Bitforex exchange is new crypto exchange, i was use this exchange to sell bounty token and for deposit and withdrawal is not problem. They offer unverified account with unlimited amount of withdrawal. But is better use this exchange only for while and choose better exchange for daily trading because i heard the daily trading volume is not real.

Never heard of Bitforex, but it seems that most of the bounty tokens are being listed their so its cool for bounty hunters. And I'm surprised to hear them offering unverified accounts? So there's no KYC whatsoever?

Very interesting because lots of exchanges today are requiring KYC so I won't be surprised if they would also go that way just to stay afloat in this business. Its just a matter of time. But you touch a important factors though, trading volume, there's a lot of exchange who's practicing it, so personally that's a red flag for me, not a good sign that a exchange can be trusted.
7388  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake coinbase email on: January 24, 2019, 12:59:36 AM
Wow, it's so basic that it's probably effective on a few % of naive users...
"move your funds to the following wallets, thank you, goodbye"

I agree. There might be new users to fall for this trap so I wouldn't be surprise and its going to be a painful rude awakening for them, so be careful.

But its obviously a scam and those people behind are taking advantage of every situation. And if you look closely they only provided the wallets and not the private key as supposedly written in the email.
7389  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Blockchain friendly countries? on: January 24, 2019, 12:47:01 AM

pretty much. they want to take over the world!! saw this article on twitter https://blokt.com/news/chinas-increasing-stake-in-crypto made me think of it

Do you honestly believed that China will allow its citizens to hoard a lot of crypto? Remember that China is still a communist country so I doubt that they will grant so much power to their people to iget in crypto. That article is an over exaggeration of China's involvement, they may allow it, but at certain point they will have to curb it out like what they did on ICO 2 years ago, so I doubt the veracity of any news regarding crypto coming from China, in my opinion.
7390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Venezuela - communists are falling, so might btc on: January 24, 2019, 12:36:23 AM
Any article to share about the political turmoil in Venezuela getting resolved?

Do you have statistics to verify that indeed Venezuela holds as much as 15%-20%? Because I'm assuming that this is your argument in the beginning.

But If I have bitcoins stash somewhere else, I just wouldn't dump it right away just because the political problem has been resolved. Based on my experienced living in a country wherein a political dictator was ousted many years ago and a promise of a new system and change, our country still hasn't improved and corruption/inflation still exists even today. Not a smart moved for Venezuelan to "crazy dump".
7391  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: day trading is like having sex on: January 24, 2019, 12:25:37 AM
I just laugh at the analogy but I guess it's true in some areas.  Grin

You only don't need a entry strategy, but to mitigate and be satisfied, you have to plan for your exit strategy as well. I mean trading is very dangerous for those who are not familiar how crazy and unpredictable this market is, so if you're not prepared for the worst scenario, you might end up losing your mind as well.
7392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH after "Constantinople" on: January 23, 2019, 02:47:30 AM
Recently, the developers stated that they found some kind of bug in the code that does not allow them to do the fork in the near future, so we should not expect that the fork will take place as it was previously planned - January 17th. Now it will be transferred for an indefinite time until they eliminate this bug.

Correct, I thought it was just a one day delayed, as initially reported. But its worst than expected, so we really need to wait and see how this whole fork will affect the miners and investors as well.

https://blockmanity.com/news/ethereum-developers-decide-to-activate-constantinople-hard-fork-on-february-27th-progpow-could-get-delayed/

So the new date is February 27, Its interesting to note that Feb 27 is the date wherein SEC will have to decide for the last time if Bitcoin ETF proposal by Van Eck/Solid X should be a go or no go.

Take note as well that the miners will received 2 ETH every time they find a new block as compare to 3 ETH prior to the fork, reducing the supply that might affect the price positively.
7393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: January 23, 2019, 02:31:51 AM
There was a another chance encounter yesterday at Warriors versus Lakers match at Los Angeles. No details we're posted if they had a small chat about their plans for MayPac2. Both of this guys are not giving clues if it will happen or not, not even from their camps. Manny posted a picture on his Instagram yesterday about the encounter.
I'd love to see this video so after few minutes of searching it's for real.

I've chose this video --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KemiyWKJytY Funny to watch that slowmo moment.

Since Broner Pacquiao match was done, they are now hyping this. I'm having that feeling this is already the hint that this fight is already on negotiations.

I had a good laugh the slowmo. Looks like Floyd is dodging a shot from Manny, lol.

They keep bumping on each other and Floyd lately was always out in the public probably a sign that they're slowly hyping and looking if people are interested for a rematch.
Haha great editor for the vid.

My perspective, Manny was just passing by and it happened that Floyd was on the front seat as he walked. It looks like they are close friends and having that kind of approach made me like Floyd, haha.

I guess there's no real animosity between the two, it was just the fans who really hype about the two boxers not liking each other.

They both love the sports of basketball so I'm not surprised by the encounter, if my memory serves me right, they also met in a game prior to the fight. I also agree that Mayweather is not interested to a rematch, and Pac needs to get his eye injury heal and wish him the best. I'm sure there's a lot of fight left in his contract, but I'm sure he will live and fight again with or w/o Floyd.
7394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best airdrop ever ! on: January 23, 2019, 02:24:42 AM
Most of the funds have since been reclaimed, but the exchange states that around $2.6 million hasn’t been returned.

Ouch, quite a costly mistake. Still, if they had KYC enforced properly, they may be able to recover some more of the money, even though they'll need good lawyers...
And their image also suffers, clearly they cannot be seen as proper professionals. And this may cost them some more million in lost customers (and fees).

Exactly, the damage has been done, so I don't know if they can recover it though. Could be a legal battle, those who got it for sure will fight it off because it was a airdrop, and its not stealing. The company made a blunder and they have to pay the price for it.

Perhaps the question is, if you guys received it, Are you going to return it back?  Grin

7395  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC To Under 100$ on: January 23, 2019, 01:53:00 AM
BTC To Under 100$ BUT is good for Market, It not going to be happen in 1 day, but we are in down trend  since BTC ATH (20k$),
SO Why its is Good for market and bitcoin ? More people want to buy BTC at cheaper price So when BTC price is under 1000$ they will get a good opportunity to join in the game, now Most people even dont know what is BTC.
So Cheaper BTC = More Investor will join to the game and BTC will be more popular  BEFOR NEW ATH.
New ATH could be 200K$, But not before BTC price correction which is Under 100$.

Everything is possible, however, I doubt that the price could go that low, $100? I don't think so. Bitcoin is not taking a breather now, and definitely we will see a increase eventually. The market works in cycle, so just take this opportunity to purchase and save bitcoin.

What will be happened to BTC miner?
BTC Miner will be stop mining BTC, when price is under 100$ but thatz fine, Nothing will be happened to BTC if they stop minig it mean only 1 thing, increasing Demand and Increasing Price, Most miner will be from 3rd world countries ( India , ... )

You also need to take into consideration electricity, maintenance and the hardware itself before we can speculate that India will mine bitcoin if the price goes to three digit.

BTC price will rise only If it get more popular.
Do you know how current BTC price is expensive for people in 3rd world countries like India? they need to save $ for 2 years to buy 1 BTC,
We need all of this people to invest in BTC.

Well, you don't have to buy full bitcoin. You can slowly accumulate, its one method one casual investors was able to save a lot of bitcoin. This is not a race, its a marathon, so start buying in small portions and you wouldn't notice that you have accumulated 1 BTC already.
7396  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Blockchain friendly countries? on: January 23, 2019, 01:35:15 AM
There are a lot of crypto or blockchain friendly around the world.

[1] Estonia and the rest of the Baltic states - https://ormeuscoin.com/2017/11/11/estonia-becomes-cryptocurrency-leader-in-the-baltic-region/

[2] Australia - who followed Japan in July 2017 to embrace bitcoin as well. https://news.bitcoin.com/coastal-town-claims-to-be-first-digital-currency-friendly-in-australia/

[3] Singapore - a lot of blockchain company is using Singapore as this HQ in Asia. https://ethereumworldnews.com/singapore-determined-become-first-country-fully-embrace-cryptocurrencies-dlts/

Those countries are just some of the countries being involved in crypto/blockchain sphere in the last couple of years and I will not be surprised if other's follow suit as well, specially around the Asian-Pacific region.
7397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will STO survive? on: January 22, 2019, 07:42:56 PM
STO hasn't take off, and yet you are asking for the survival rate?

I guess everyone is really afraid of something new, specially bounty hunters who joined in 2017 which netted them huge amount of money one way or another. So I'm would assume that majority doesn't like how the game has changed, but as the saying goes, "if you can't beat them, join them".

It may take some time before this whole STO will sinks in, but I'm sure bounty hunters will have no choice but to embrace and adapt it if they wanted to continue getting paid doing bounty campaigns.
7398  Economy / Marketplace / Re: For god's sake, stop lestening to mainstream Media and wake up people... !! on: January 22, 2019, 07:24:52 PM
Why bring the gods into this world. Are you a follower of Buddhism? Do not bring the gods here to describe them. Doing so is not very good. Let's for the investor community that works for the legitimate.

Its just a expression dude. And don't take the words literally but learn how to read between the lines.

I think by now people have learned their lesson very well. We have matured and I think no one is really listening to those people anymore. And those who kept listening will understand later what those guys are really up to. Those attacking bitcoin have their own agenda behind. And by the way, Facebook has already made a U-turn and no longer banning crypto ads as far as I know.

I don't know why people failed to read in between the Lines. the poster was making a viable points why the mainstream media should not be trusted some times. they are misleading. it shows how the so called billionaires of the current industries are trying to outsmart the crypto community again to enrich themselves but it will not work.

Sadly though, there are a lot of noobs investors who is not educated how the market is being played specially by media and the whales. There are even reports that has been lost in translation causing lots of panic before but since the damage has been done, it's hard to reverse it as noobs already fall for the trap.

@Idrisu - This reality will continue to go as long as there are people willing to listen to crypto media. That's why we really need to be very careful and used our common sense. Better yet, take everything with a grain of salt and verify every news, imho.
7399  Economy / Speculation / Re: How/Why to Buy Bitcoin in 2019 on: January 22, 2019, 07:12:51 PM
You should buy some Bitcoin/s this 2019 because people are expecting the bull run to start this 2019, a lot of people are saying that it will start by the end of January, though all of these are mere speculations but it is still a possibility so I'm going to buy and wait for the right time.

But how can you buy today when the price keeps going on a flatline? I mean there's no volume whatsoever, so those newbies are really afraid because they don't want to suffer more loss at this worsening market situations.

As a investors we really need to weight the pros/cons of entering the market today, you just don't throw out money there, you need to be wise if you wanted to stay long in this game. There might be positive news coming around, but unless we see Bakkt getting approved, I'm not seeing the market recovers or experience a good price bump in the next couple of months.

A dissed track against bitcoin? Lmao.

He is just like any other noobs here thinking that bitcoin is a get rich scheme and then bail out when everything is not going their way. Anyways, I don't give a damn about this group though, they're just one hit wonders and I'm sure that when bitcoin goes on another bull run, they will again change their tune. Just another speculator who's wallet is hurting right now, lol.
