And winter is still coming. I wonder if those Ukrainian dating sites are selling their women, now. The women would probably just love to get out of there.

Washington's Carthaginian Peace Collides With Reality

The national political and military leaders who committed America to wars of choice in Vietnam, the Balkans, Afghanistan, and Iraq, did so as a rule because they were convinced the fighting would be short and decisive. American presidents, presidential advisors, and senior military leaders never stopped to consider that national strategy, if it exists at all, consists of avoiding conflict unless the nation is attacked and compelled to fight.

The latest victim of this mentality is Ukraine. In the absence of a critical root-and-branch analysis of Russia's national power and strategic interests, American senior military leaders and their political bosses viewed Russia through a narrowly focused lens that magnified U.S. and Ukrainian strengths but ignored Russia's strategic advantages—geographic depth, almost limitless natural resources, high social cohesion, and the military-industrial capacity to rapidly scale up its military power.

Ukraine is now a war zone subject to the same treatment the U.S. armed forces inflicted on Germany and Japan during the Second World War, on Vietnam in the 1960s, and on Iraq over decades. Power grids, transportation networks, communications infrastructure, fuel production, and ammunition storage sites are being systematically destroyed. Millions of Ukrainians continue to flee the war zone in pursuit of safety, with ominous consequences for Europe's societies and economies.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration repeatedly commits the unpardonable sin in a democratic society of refusing to tell the American people the truth: contrary to the Western media's popular "Ukrainian victory" narrative, which blocks any information that contradicts it, Ukraine is not winning and will not win this war. Months of heavy Ukrainian casualties, resulting from an endless series of pointless attacks against Russian defenses in Southern Ukraine, have dangerously weakened Ukrainian forces.

Cool

The guy who wrote that article isn't like most of your wackjobs.  He's an intelligent wackjob with a successful US military career.  But now he's literally just spewing Russian propaganda.

Quote
In 2014, after Russia annexed Crimea and was engaged in a conflict with Ukraine over its eastern parts, Macgregor appeared on Russian state-owned network RT where he called for the annexation of the Donbas and said residents of the region "are in fact Russians, not Ukrainians, and at the same time, you have Ukrainians in the west and in the north, who are not Russians."[19][34] Less than 40% of Donbas residents are ethnically Russian.[35]

Quote
After Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Macgregor appeared on three Fox News programs to speak in support of Russia's actions. Russian state television broadcast excerpts of Macgregor's appearances, which included a characterization of Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy as a "puppet," that Russian forces had been "too gentle" in the early days of the invasion and that Russian president Vladimir Putin was being "demonized" by the United States and NATO.

Macgregor said he believed Russia should be allowed to seize whatever parts of Ukraine it wanted. After one of his appearances, Macgregor's comments were characterized by veteran Fox News Pentagon correspondent Jennifer Griffin as "appeasement" and that he was being an "apologist" for Putin. After Griffin's remarks, Tucker Carlson — who hosted Macgregor on two successive nights — remarked, "Unlike many of the so-called reporters you see on television, he is not acting secretly as a flack for Lloyd Austin at the Pentagon. No, Doug Macgregor is an honest man." Trey Gowdy, another Fox News host who interviewed Macgregor, said his viewpoint was "stunning and disappointing."[36][37][38][39] U.S. representative Liz Cheney said of Macgregor "This is the Putin wing of the GOP."[40]

Quote
In a column in The Washington Post by Max Boot, he was described as "a racist crackpot who is pro-Russia, anti-Merkel, anti-Muslim and anti-Mexican."

Are you sure about Georgia? As far as Ukraine is concerned, yes, the request has to be examined and above all NATO must make sure that it can effectively defend any new member from aggression, as it cannot afford to loose reputation in the even it cannot be done. Now, that is not such an easy task when you have a barbaric neighbour throwing trash in your garden. The defensive systems needed go well beyond the rapid intervention force.

Anyone who eventually realizes that universities promote violence is not a violent sociopath. People start off ignorant, but if they choose to remain ignorant after knowing better, then they are violent sociopaths. Universities promote violence.

-Joseph Van Name Ph.D.

So the ignorant people that later stop being ignorant are not violent sociopaths.

But the ignorant people that remain ignorant are violent sociopaths.  Is that what you're saying?

Do you think there are any psychologists that would agree with your method of diagnosing sociopaths?

Do you really think it's rational to rely on someone's future level of ignorance (something we can not know) rather than their past actions to determine whether they are a violent sociopath or not?

Wouldn't it be easier to just look at whether a person has acted violently in the past to determine if they are a violent person?
744  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Universities promote violence on: December 01, 2022, 05:35:06 PM
I did not quote myself. I was just signing my name, you silly goose.

"That would mean he thinks he himself is a violent sociopath with no place in society that needs to be locked up."-I am the exception because I realize that universities are that way. Anyone else who realizes that universities are very bad may also be an exception.

How about before you realized that Universities are this way?  Were you a violent sociopath then?
745  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Universities promote violence on: December 01, 2022, 05:11:39 PM
Universities promote violence. I know. I was a professor. Universities have promoted violence against me. I have a Ph.D. in mathematics.  Until universities apologize for promoting violence, I will always treat all graduates from all universities as violent sociopaths who have absolutely no place in decent society and who need to be locked up. If you have a degree from a university, then I have no choice to consider you as a worthless scumbag who hates life and just wants to harm others!

-Joseph Van Name Ph.D.

That would mean he thinks he himself is a violent sociopath with no place in society that needs to be locked up.

Edit: wait I just noticed your username.  Did you really quote yourself as if you were quoting someone else?  Or are you just impersonating this Math guy.

Russia IS defeating Ukraine's military.

No they aren't. And the Ukrainian military is far more prepared for winter than Russia. The Russians are struggling to feed their soldiers, who arent even supplied with warm clothes.  And I'm many cases calling them soldiers is generous... Does 2 weeks of training make you a soldier?

I know, I know. We all say a bunch of words here. That's what the forum is all about. So, I ask. Did Zerohedge show real pictures of the Ukraine electricity problem? Did they come to the right conclusions? When you put all the 'words' from all over the place together, what is the true picture of what is going on in Ukraine... not just the hopes, dreams, and propaganda?

Cool

It's true.  If Russia could defeat Ukraine's military, they would.  But they can't, so they are destroying Ukraines power grid, cutting off food supply and terrorizing civilians with daily long range missile and drone strikles  in the cities and villages far from the front line or anywhere near military targets just as winter begins.

This is not a sign of strength or something any decent human should be proud of.

This requires another thread, anyway.

Don't expect a good faith argument from him...he seems especially stubborn and clueless about how the global economy works.

Essentially, US money is really only good in the US. Oh, sure, some countries play around with the USDollar. But most of it goes to buying something from the US.

US money is good everywhere. Nearly every country will take it either directly or exchange it to local currency. No other currency in the world comes close to the versatility of the US dollar. It doesn't matter where they buy something from... they all want US dollars as evidenced by the rising exchange rates.

You should really travel abroad, maybe to Russia which you're so fond of. Even Russians love US dollar, especially the benjamin variety.

All you are doing is confirming the point I made.

Hi, bro. Can I play Christmas-themed slots in your casino? Do you have that section or category?

It would be easier to just go to their site and look instead of registering an account on bitcointalk and asking LTC Casino one simple question each week.

Even though, we still return deposits to the ones who broke the rules, as it is said on Terms of Service page.

You've been ignoring your "Solving All Issue" thread for months where there are plenty of complaints from players who claim to have not been paid anything, including their deposit.

(Deposit amount really shouldn't matter.  When a player wins a bet, that's their money.  And a site that promotes itself as kyc free can not justify including terms against multi accounting much less taking players money for multi accounting.)

We are not at war with the Palestinians. We are at war with terrorists and their accomplices who want to destroy us.
It is interesting how you defend Russian invasion and occupation of special operation in Ukraine. They say the same exact thing that they aren't at war with Ukrainians, they are just fighting terrorists and are denazifying the region. Wink

They (Putin) are actually saying Ukraine isn't a country, and never has been, it's always belonged to Mother Russia and therefor doesn't have the right to determine it's own future.

Let me say it again, If there is zero interest, the borrower is still repaying the loan twice.

Cool

BADeckerville is an interesting place.  So if you loan me 100 BADecker Bucks today that you created out of thin air and offer without interest, and in 1 year I settle the loan by paying you 100 BADecker Bucks, I've actually repaid you twice (at least!), although I only remember paying you back once....

TrainWrecksTV one of the biggest twitch streamers revealed that he got paid over 360,000,000$ from Stake.com,
Shocked Shocked This is one hell of a cash there, but this is hard to believe, not without a prove, but anyways, back to your offer..

I am interested but i am skeptical, i tell you why, for someone of your caliber, that is you have this casino contact and know that they pay this much, and for somebody ,you have all it takes to set up accounts and provide all the materials required for that person to start streaming for one or some of this casinos, why arent you yourself busy yet, i mean dont you like to be super rich ? why settle for less when you have the means to become a multi millionaire streaming for this casinos?

I honestly do not believe you, maybe you can try to show us some persons, out of the over hundred persons you said youve helped secure this deal.
then and only, will i think about having a discussion with you on this subject.
I don't think train profitted 360m during his time with Stake, but he did have a massive deal. The thing is, he got that deal because of his community.

I wouldn't be surprised if train were down even after the 360 million.  Pretty sure he's wagered 5+ billion playing mostly third party slots with 5-7% house edge... that's $50 - $70 million in expected losses per billion (before rakeback, bonuses, etc to be fair), but it seems like he's run pretty bad overall.  What is he doing now after the twitch gambling ban?

758  Economy / Gambling / Re: LTC Casino (ltccasino.com) - most fair crypto casino with highest RTP on: November 22, 2022, 09:34:16 PM
Did u ever play there? really? for vip players they have unlimited payoust.  The logic is simple, cuz casino has no any kyc, limits is just to protect casino from scammers, as u can see, sometimes even game providers dont want to approve that they were hacked...
Casinos as well as crypto exchange sites try to limit withdrawal if any coin is hacked but that is not a big issue. LTC casino has a too-low limit for withdrawal and also they take a long time to solve an issue. I have not heard that any casino site has too low a withdrawal limit like ltc casino.

50k/monthtly is too low?

Withdraw limits are always a red flag.  It means the casino is insolvent and basically a ponzi.  If they can't afford to pay big winners they should lower their betting limits, not limit how much winners can withdraw.

Exactly you right, u saw bet limits in LTC?

Surprised you agree tbh.  It's very basic logic though.  The money in a players account belongs to the player, not the casinos.

Doesn't really matter what the current bet limits are - if the casino needs to limit how much they pay a player per day/week/month to guarantee "that all winners will be paid", they can't afford to take bets at the limits they offer.  Waiting for future players to lose in order to pay past winners is ponzi 101.

No, i think casino dont want to pay and waiting when players gonna loose all winnings until widthdrawal

You're definitely not wrong.  I think it's a combination of both - refusing to pay out a players entire balance allows them to operate with a much smaller bankroll, and, yeah, the players obviously just lose it back while waiting for their next payment - which, at this point, is just part of their business model.  "revenue from players that wanted to withdraw but were not allowed to ". has to be a decent portion of their overall revenue.

760  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Where would Twitter go after its takeover by Elon Musk ? on: November 22, 2022, 01:16:30 PM
He could turn things around in the next two years.  That wouldn't change all the poor decisions he's made from when he signed the agreement till now.

Good point. That way you're going to be right no matter what, lol.

I mean, it's really just common sense.

He signed a deal agreeing to waive due diligence and buy the company in April and sells off billions in Tesla shares that he promised he wouldn't sell to finance it.  Then he spends the next 6 months shitting on Twitter and trying to get out of the deal, basically paralyzing Twitter in the meantime.  Finally realizes he has no choice but to close the deal, so he does.  Then he goes into troll mode and scares off most advertisers (twitters main source of revenue).  So here we are today, Tesla shares are at 2 year low, Elons net worth is 100 billion less than it was a year ago,  Twitter has 14 billion of new debt and most of their revenue for 2023 has evaporated.  According to Elon "bankruptcy is not off the table" (for Twitter, obviously).

While I'm sure Elon would appreciate your extraordinary level of simping, I think he would still agree with me that he made some very expensive fuck ups that could have been avoided.  In fact I bet if he could do it all over again he would avoid becoming financially involved with the company so he could focus on getting to mars.
