7402  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & Ethereum Drop 3% on: January 20, 2019, 12:51:52 PM
All altcoin already dropped to more than 90% from ATH include Ethereum. This is the long and biggest bearish market in crypto market, from this high volatility we should be have idea how to avoid big loss from wrong prediction. We should make sure we have risk management and target profit whenever we want to put money in to crypto.

No, this is not the biggest bearish trend we have seen in this market. You have to go back to the Mt. Gox heist (2011) and see how far the price goes down. I'm sure you call it the biggest because some of you joined when the market peaked at 2017 and never seen the price going like this before.

But as I always said, crypto price works in cycle, we should consider this bearish trend as a experienced for everyone so that we will know how to react to it in the future.

He has a lot of valuables videos for beginners. That will be a good start. Below is his channel.

7404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bounty hunter paid USDT? on: January 20, 2019, 12:08:56 PM
I recently participated in a bounty campaign which paid in USDT and I have to admit that it was one of the best campaigns I have participated in till date, price if the token doesn't change so I got my full value in USDT, I loved it very much

To be honest, I haven't heard any bounty that paid in USDT, care to share what bounty campaign it is? I'm just curious.

I participated wherein they pegged the payment in USD not USDT. But I wouldn't care if they pay in USDT though perhaps once advantage is that you won't be affected by the wild price swings specially that there's a habit of bounty hunters dumping their tokens once they get their rewards.
7405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: January 20, 2019, 10:16:18 AM
Looks like LA lakers are a team killer on the road.
They beat OKC and are up 20 points against Houston on their own court at half time.
Harden can not hit his shots and had to sit off most of the second quarter because he was not producing any offense.
If LA can beat them then they are a team to content with Lebron coming back maybe soon.

But they didn't beat Houston, the game went into overtime and them fell short 138-134. Harden his usual self, but he did get a lot of support from Gordon, specially that three to sent the game into overtime.

Ball got injured though, that might chance the game because after the left, Houston takes over and it was a different ball game. Next for the Lakers is GSW on Monday.
7406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 143: Dillashaw vs Cejudo Prediction and Info Thread on: January 20, 2019, 10:05:51 AM
Dana's only hope for this would be for TJ to win and begin creating his new storyboard. Max Holloway versus TJ Dillashaw for the UFC featherweight championship hehehe. It will be big for TJ if he wins. He would be holding 3 belts and maybe in the race for the best pound for pound.
Dana White's dream just crashed big time to remove a division completely, he was adamant enough on not to answer that question but was vocal about womans feather weight division where the entire division is created for Cyborg and she got smoked inside the first round.
It was an emotional outing for the Flyweight division but i never guessed Henry Cejudo will finish the fight inside a minute and it was one of the fastest finishes in title bouts i guess and the dream of T.J. Dillashaw and Dana uncle is crushed. Cheesy

And still the Flyweight champion. Who would have thought that it will end just like that?

I don't know, but I think it's a early stoppage from the ref. Anyways, I would agree that the story board comes crumbling down on the Holloway vs T.J. for the featherweight.
7407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquaio vs. Adrien Broner on: January 20, 2019, 09:48:19 AM
After watching the fight from Round 1 to Round 12, I don't think Adrien Broner is there to win the fight, he just wen't there to collect his $10 Million USD paycheck and that's it. Broner has the speed, Broner have the punching power but I guess what Broner lacks is he is too afraid to go toe to toe with Manny. I see Broner throwing away punches that hits Manny but not enough to keep him down because there is no follow up made. Most of the punch landed to Manny are from counter punches. After the fight, there was an interview that says that the most punches landed by Broner is 8. But anyway, Manny made $20 Million USD for this fight.

And what's funny is that he claims he won the fight, Lmao. I don't understand how can he say that? he didn't show up to fight but just to collect this paycheck as you have said.

It was easy to see that he doesn't want to engage but Pacquiao is too intelligent to fall with that counter punches although he was hit several times by Broner, but that was just about it. Congrats to Manny and hope to see a rematch with Floyd then.
7408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum fork for short term profit? on: January 19, 2019, 12:20:39 PM
I’m looking to purchase before the fork, investing maybe $1k, for a short term profit. Hoping the prices rises, I can sell before the dump. If there is the drop in price, these can also be held longer term until profitable.

Thoughts?

The best time to buy is during it's bottom around the $80-$90 range before the fork and just hold for a month because it peaked at $150++ if I'm not mistaken so that is the best scenario for doing short term profit.

Above $100 though is too much of a risk, but who knows, we might see it attempt to breach $160 range. So try to weight your options and be mindful of your exit strategy as well.
7409  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing in Bitcoin in 2019? on: January 19, 2019, 11:08:52 AM

What do you guys think? Is it worth it to give it a try? This would be my second crypto investment, and I'd be throwing in $5-10,000 at most. Any ideas?

Not to burst the bubble for you but why are you asking people for financial advise? No disrespect but you will hear a lot of different opinions here.

Why not research it for yourself so that you will be comfortable instead of trusting people's opinion. That's why a lot of traders or investors suffered losses because they don't do their homework, just saying.
7410  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit "trading" - buying and selling Bitcointalk merit on: January 19, 2019, 10:38:04 AM
There's another update but this time its the on the Default Trust, DefaultTrust changes.

So we should be aware of not just trading or buying or selling merits but be wary of this new changes as well. For those who haven't visited Meta yet, I urge you to do so. so that you will be updated as well.
7411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: January 19, 2019, 09:45:42 AM
Anyone watch Cousins debut as GSW against the Clippers? He chip in 14 points including 3 out of 4 shooting at the three point line but fouled out as the Warriors beat Clippers 112-94. He looks healthy as well. They're really the team to beat right now.

They are also in a roll winning their 7 straight games. And just look at their starting five, all previous all-star player. That's sick!!!
7412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think about Tether? on: January 19, 2019, 06:17:59 AM
Many people use  The Tether[USDT] as there Safe ´´Wallet´´ so they Purchase it and Tether always keeps up the Same Price as you can see it doesnt really went down since 6 Months

That's why they're called Stable Coins because they don't fluctuate that much and the price is 1:1 to US dollar.

My Question about it Do you use Tether to?

I don't use Tether because I don't like it simply as that. I would rather trade and taken advantage of the high volatility of the market to make money. If you put your funds in Tether then it will just go and sleep there. It could be a good leverage though specially for newbies, but for far more experience trader I will assume that they don't trust Tether at all, simply answer.
7413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shill me your favorite crypto right now on: January 19, 2019, 05:53:48 AM
Ethos and TenX are really doing good right now and also Electroneum.

But if you're looking for long term, then BTC, ETH, XRP are the best to put your money with.

You may also want to look at WPP, INF and XNF in the future. Those three just completed their ICO and if I'm not mistaken they all reached hard cap so once they listed on a exchange I'm sure they will moon.
7414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2018-2019 betting on: January 19, 2019, 05:22:34 AM
Today's pick,  Timberwolve vs Spurs.

This time I'll back the road teams, after the last game of the wolves where they get dominated by the Sixers, I believe the spurs has a chance even on the road. Wolves is not a definition of a good team now, they have a new coach and it affects a lot of things within the team, chemistry is more important and the spurs have that so they are a better team than the wolves.

Spurs Moneyline - No push this time.

I'm going to back this as well, This should be an easy win for the spurs even though they've not been playing convincingly recently.
Goodluck!
Spurs looks good to me too, already bet on the spurs as well.
It's 2nd half already and games are close although the Timberwolves are in lead now, but they will rally and win the game, believe me.
Might be adding bet by taking the live now.

Spurs beat Wolves 116-113. Games are really close with so many ties and lead changes. San has one burst in the last 4 minutes to put up a good lead but again Minnesota close in and can even stretch the game into overtime however DRose missed a 3 point. Heart breaking lost for them.

Lamarcus and Rudy Gay has a big night, with 25 and 23 points respectively. San Antonio is slowly climbing as well in the Western Division with this win.
7415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 19, 2019, 04:59:22 AM
I was a bit tensed about the Nadal fan day before yesterday because Alex was in great form but fortunately Nadal played a top-class match to beat him in straight sets .

Me too, but Nadal was able to shows us why we shouldn't discount him as potential winner this Australian Open. Wasn't expected that he will win in straight sets, I though De Minaur will offer more, or can pull a upset. But again, at this stage of De Minaur career's fighting those great is an experience.

Sharapova get one of her biggest wins after a comeback. Halep vs Venus Williams later. Let's see if Venus can also pull a upset.
7416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquaio vs. Adrien Broner on: January 19, 2019, 04:40:39 AM
They don't really need to sell the fight because they just have a couple of days. This is the final pressure and after this they will just relax and then fight on Sunday. If Manny comes blazing in the early round I don't think that Broner can last full 10 rounds. But if it went like a back and forth battle, It might end in the judges hand and hopefully Manny can pull through.

I mentioned it a page or two back but I saw the Under is at 10.5 rounds, and pays out slightly more than 3:1. Do you think there's much of a chance for either side finishing the fight without going all the way till the last round? As we've seen, Broner does go down on occasion (though not often).

Just wondering what people think about the chances of Manny pulling off another TKO like he did with Matiesse (sp)... I didn't bet on the last fight so I don't know what the O/U was for that one.

Then there's the tiny chance that Manny himself goes down via KO or TKO before the end of the 10th round, which would also satisfy the condition of winning the under... Hmm...
Under is a good bet, both are aggressive fighter and if you root for Manny to win this game, he can probably KO his opponent.
We never know, but when both fighter are aggressive, we are most likely gonna see a knock out.

Right, I would also go under. I'm sure that both Manny and Broner will try to go for a KO, for Manny to proved that he deserves a rematch with Mayweather and that he is still be considered in the pound for pound list.

And then Broner to also proved his detractors wrong. So I'm not seeing any decisions,  KO/TKO under 10.5 rounds for Manny Pacquiao.
7417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquaio vs. Adrien Broner on: January 18, 2019, 01:34:07 PM
I still have to watch broners previous fight but his confidence is overflowing. The fact that broner should have to consider is that he won undoubtedly then probably  that might be one of the best fight of his career but it can't still give so much hype considering pacmans age. And if ever he loses then probably this can be the biggest disappointment of his career

Try Maidana vs Broner, I'm sure you will love it.

And try to look at how he trash talk Maidana, but I wouldn't spoil it. His best weight is 135 lbs though, so I don't know how he is going to win against Pacman. And that's the way Broner sell the fight, talking about how good he is. I don't think that Pacman age is the issue, he already proved if already against Lucas Mattysse last year. Yes, this could go to distance and a dominating win for Manny Pacquiao.

Thanks for this, As per watching sucks is that  really the way how he fought. I don't know but for his age his power is not that strong plus the speed really sucks. Overall you were really true. Pacman really dominates interms of statistics. I have seen his training speed is 9/10 plus the power is still good enough 8/10. I just don't like the hugging part broner might be able to use it for his advantage tho we know pacman can't easily be trapped to the roops.

And that is the first fight wherein Broner was in serious trouble and look at how he responded. So imagine if Pacquiao do hurt Broner that way, I'm sure he won't be able to stand the onslaught because Pacquaio is one of the best finishers we have seen in the last decade.

I'm sure Manny can adjust to the hugging part as I have said. Pacquiao sometimes wanted to test his opponent that's why he just stay on the ropes, just like he did against Cotto, but after that he hits a perfect uppercut to knock him down.
7418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOS Token (IOST) Ready to boom the market on: January 18, 2019, 12:51:09 PM
IOS Token (IOST) newly listed on Binance is doing really good and will hit 10$ soon. I hope it can happen in a short span of time.

Guys I need your views on it???
$ 10? are you kidding me? Do you think its value will be more than BTC? Cheesy
IOST is a good altcoin and only good altcoin is listed on the Binance exchange. But recently, it has not had good price movements. it is silent for a long time. Is it preparing for a real boom in 2019 or will it be a pitiful death?

No, I don't think it will go to $10 per pop, the time for IOST is done for all I know, it's last bull run was last year around May-June. But we don't know, maybe when we're in a bull run others coins including IOST will spike again.

But saying its going to $10 is a exaggeration. Even coins like XRP will be having a hard time reaching that price so I don't think it will go to that levels. Sorry.
7419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Old coins vs new coins on: January 18, 2019, 12:31:44 PM
1.  can the altcoins ever hit the ATH price even at $20000 bitcoin?

Everything is possible in this market. But I guess it will take like years before we can even see altcoins touching that price.

2. Can the new coin from ICO be an alternative even with so much old coin held in some portfolios?

Of course, as long as they offer value and real life usage, why not? But the problem with new coins today is that they're being exploited for pump-and-dump only.

3. will you choose to hold on to old coins or sell to invest into new ICOs?

Again, it boils down as how the new coins will be. Will they really disrupt the ecosystem with their new coins? What's the purposes of their coins?
7420  Economy / Speculation / Re: As 2018 winds down, what is your opinion about bitcoin for 2019? on: January 18, 2019, 06:27:06 AM
I think 2019 is still bear trend for bitcoin. There is will be many "issue" in 2019, so price from bitcoin will down. 2019 is not time for bitcoin to the moon, but 2019 is time so stock bitcoin.

Well it's been trading sideways already, so definitely the bear still control the market. So its safe to say that we might be expending a bear season till Q1 of this year as there are no clear indications that the bulls is around the corner.

So its better to accumulate more coins at this situation and HODL. I'm not sure about the "issue" that you are saying, there are no issues except that investors are not. coming in, even fresh blood understands the risk and how volatile this market is. On the contrary, there are speculators who is making money out of this bear market so its going to be interesting to see how are they going to respond in case a bullish trend emerges.
