7421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Old coins vs new coins on: January 18, 2019, 12:31:44 PM
1.  can the altcoins ever hit the ATH price even at $20000 bitcoin?

Everything is possible in this market. But I guess it will take like years before we can even see altcoins touching that price.

2. Can the new coin from ICO be an alternative even with so much old coin held in some portfolios?

Of course, as long as they offer value and real life usage, why not? But the problem with new coins today is that they're being exploited for pump-and-dump only.

3. will you choose to hold on to old coins or sell to invest into new ICOs?

Again, it boils down as how the new coins will be. Will they really disrupt the ecosystem with their new coins? What's the purposes of their coins?
7422  Economy / Speculation / Re: As 2018 winds down, what is your opinion about bitcoin for 2019? on: January 18, 2019, 06:27:06 AM
I think 2019 is still bear trend for bitcoin. There is will be many "issue" in 2019, so price from bitcoin will down. 2019 is not time for bitcoin to the moon, but 2019 is time so stock bitcoin.

Well it's been trading sideways already, so definitely the bear still control the market. So its safe to say that we might be expending a bear season till Q1 of this year as there are no clear indications that the bulls is around the corner.

So its better to accumulate more coins at this situation and HODL. I'm not sure about the "issue" that you are saying, there are no issues except that investors are not. coming in, even fresh blood understands the risk and how volatile this market is. On the contrary, there are speculators who is making money out of this bear market so its going to be interesting to see how are they going to respond in case a bullish trend emerges.
7423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why Bounty Hunters Hate KYC !!! on: January 18, 2019, 05:49:18 AM
Indeed, now many bounty hunters use KYC (Know Your Custumer) if they want to get bounty results, actually it was KYC to avoid double accounts that were done by bounty hunters, but it made the hunters uncomfortable, because they were afraid their personal data was misused .

I agree, and you really don't know what's going to happened to your personal data because there are numerous reports that there are a lot of leaking going on in the dark web, so its really not comfortable if you're a bounty hunter.

But not all bounties require or enforce KYC though, so for bounty hunters its better if you clear up with the campaign managers if KYC is needed before joining.

Just look at this. Fund raising? or just another attempt to steal?

On another note, it looks like the hacker has moved some of the funds in Binance but they quickly freeze the account.

Some of funds have been frozen, Cryptopia users are preparing a lawsuit

It seems that at least some of the stolen tokens have been frozen. On Jan. 16, after being tagged by a Twitter community member, Binance exchange CEO Changpeng Zhao said that he suspended “some” of the funds affiliated with Cryptopia after they ended up on his platform’s wallets and claimed that he will freeze more if social media users report them.
7425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any valid reason to continue gambling? on: January 18, 2019, 05:19:34 AM
Gambling always has a strong attraction. Even if they lose, they still want to play. lol

Definitely it attract a lot of people, but the main thing here is control. You need to learn not to let yourself in a situation wherein there's no way out. You can always find ways to be responsible and not to be hook up so badly that you will become addicted.

Chasing loses its a wrong mindset, you really need to call it a day and just play again when you are comfortable and forget about that loses, because if you kept chasing them then there's a chance that you will end up empty handed again.
7426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 18, 2019, 04:49:08 AM
De Minaur stands zero chances against Nadal. Spaniard looked physically fully fit and I don't see how Minaur can threaten him. Australian youngster needed five sets to beat Laaksonen! Nadal has vast experience and will take win in 3 eventually 4 sets.

He might not win against Nadal, but the experience he will got will be a valuable lessons for him. Isn't it Nadal is not 100% fit though? that injury is still bothering him, so let's see if De Minaur will take advantage of it but pushing Nadal.

On the women side, its another interesting match, Sharapova vs Wozniacki at it right now.
7427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquaio vs. Adrien Broner on: January 18, 2019, 04:36:43 AM
I still have to watch broners previous fight but his confidence is overflowing. The fact that broner should have to consider is that he won undoubtedly then probably  that might be one of the best fight of his career but it can't still give so much hype considering pacmans age. And if ever he loses then probably this can be the biggest disappointment of his career

Try Maidana vs Broner, I'm sure you will love it.

And try to look at how he trash talk Maidana, but I wouldn't spoil it. His best weight is 135 lbs though, so I don't know how he is going to win against Pacman. And that's the way Broner sell the fight, talking about how good he is. I don't think that Pacman age is the issue, he already proved if already against Lucas Mattysse last year. Yes, this could go to distance and a dominating win for Manny Pacquiao.
7428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquaio vs. Adrien Broner on: January 17, 2019, 11:56:55 PM
That's why Pacquaio is considered as a hero because he united Filipino and maybe it's his reason why he keeps fighting even at his age now.
Everyone is expecting this is a gonna bring lots of entertainment since both fighters has good record in boxing and I hope this will not be a boring fight like mayweather fight, Broner should be aggressive in this fight if he want to beat Manny and he he needs to knock him down to make it more convincing.
Manny is a generous guy. Just look at how he treats his 100 man entourage. He even have a contest biggest loser to motivate his friends to lose weight together with him and who ever wins get a money. In the Philippines he also have a housing project not only for those who's houses we're devasted by the recent storm but also for the poor and homeless. That's where his earnings goes.

And that's why Manny Pacquiao should keep fighting, because of the huge weight on his shoulders to help Filipinos and also the huge entourage he got. But to be fair, Floyd entourage is even bigger than Manny.

One reason why Manny is being loved by Filipinos is the way they treat and help them even before he was elected as a Senator. So I'm not going to be surprise if one day he will be elected as the President.  Grin
7429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE BALL IS IN YOUR COURT on: January 17, 2019, 11:22:22 PM
It really boils down to this, BEAR Market.

That's why airdrop is not worth anything. Because the bear force bounties to just offer small rewards because investors are reluctant to invest because of the worsening market conditions.

So even if you really work hard, you will be having a difficult time to make the same money as you're making in 2017. The only solution is not to rely on crypto as your major source of income. Yes, that's right many hunters thought that the price will go on parabolic rise that's why they quit their job and concentrate on crypto but sadly, the market suddenly went into bear season, that's why the money went dry as well.
7430  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear time is near to end on: January 17, 2019, 10:38:31 PM
At this time I think bear market is already end for me those coins that get dump I think it's enough for me because as you can see all altcoins need some time to increase up again those price that may recover again.

I'm not seeing the bear market will end anytime soon. As you can see the price is still at the $3K range and just few dollars shot of the all-time-lows. So we're still in the bear zone, so for some this is still a dangerous area that's why they're reluctant to invest because of the risk involved.

We can say that probably we're out of the bear zone if price started to move slowly and reach $6K or more. So we can't really predict when it's going to happen, but nevertheless, we need to be positive at this point.
7431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: January 17, 2019, 10:19:42 PM
I read in our local news paper The Daily Inquirer that this fight is still on and the both camps are still negotiating if fight will be in London or in Russia. Las Vegas is still an option according to the news but top pics on who will host this mega fight is still on. On the coming fight of Manny with Broner, it is known that Floyd will be there to support Broner.

In all honestly, I don't think that Marquez will fight Pacquiao again. He has retired already and was very happy to get a win against Manny and he will cherished it as the man who KO the great Manny Pacquaio.

Of course Floyd will support Broner, as Adrien is his 'little bro'. And they are both on Al Haymon's influence, so no surprised there. Wondering though if Floyd make a huge bet that Broner will win against Manny.
7432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to unshared bounty tokens? on: January 17, 2019, 12:55:55 PM
From my experience, undistributed tokens from bounty campaigns were either considered as unsold tokens and burned or they were returned to reserves.

Those tokens should be redistributed to the legit bounty hunters.

Correct, mostly if ICO have allocated tokens for bounties and not distributed for some reason, they are usually burned by the projects.

As far as cheating though, those bounty hunters are just wasting their time. They're going to regret because I'm sure that it's difficult to swallow that at the end of all the hard work you've done, you will not received your tokens. Moral lesson, don't cheat and follow the rules.
7433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: January 17, 2019, 12:36:20 PM
Interesting statistic for today's game between the Rockets and the Brookly nets.
Harden total FT attempt 23  ==>>>  Brookly nets team total FT attempt is 22  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Winner Nets - 145 -142

Amazing comeback win for the Brooklyn Nets. Down by 10 or more in the last four minutes was able to get back and tie the score. And again during the OT they are down, but played defense and hitting big time shots.

Harden's though has another 50+ point game but the Nets ruining it. Spencer Dinwiddie played very well today hitting three's during their comeback run and also in OT. Future All-star, or likely candidate for 6th Man.
7434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Unforgettable Gambling Stories... on: January 17, 2019, 12:16:04 PM
I really don't know what to share in terms of carnival experience but I love to bet on color games, when I was a little kid. I was fascinated by this game and try to learn how to beat the odds at a young age.

I Will ask anyone from the house for money and they I will slowly get out and go and place my bet and have some fun with friends and try every strategy I can think of. Ended up losing all the time, but there was one time I won big and treat my friends, it was one of most unforgettable experience for me as a kid.
7435  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance freezes stolen Cryptopia funds on: January 17, 2019, 11:50:15 AM
So binance can freeze your account? hmm.. okay then back to the subject, how come they send the funds straight to binance not considering that they can be traced? Considering the fact that they HACKED an exchange. They must have known that.

My guess is that they send the funds and liquidate them hopefully before Binance catches wind of the incident.

Not many exchanges could react on time (like Binance).

I agree. That's why Binance is on top of the game right now. They are really attentive and their operational support is top notch. If you guys remember, they foil a hack like months ago and actually the hackers lost some money as well.

Anyways, it looks like the investigating is rolling and it's not a matter of time before they can identify the culprit or many new developments may appear in the next coming days.
7436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: where are the investors? on: January 16, 2019, 04:48:45 PM
The investors will come again as soon as crypto will be again stable.
Investors are also leaving the stock market because it is crashing.

Exactly, investors are just waiting around the corner. They are again reluctant to enter because of the worsening market conditions. But I'm sure that once they feel that the market is suddenly making a U-turn for the better, we will all be surprise of the cash flowing again in the ecosystem.

I wouldn't say they abandoned crypto permanently, they've just gotten smarter though and just wouldn't throw their cash around with the risk of losing it again in 2018. We just need to be patience and be positive this 2019 and hope that we can somewhat recover even half of what we have lost.
7437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquaio vs. Adrien Broner on: January 16, 2019, 02:03:37 PM
I'm getting excited now that the fight is nearing, just yesterday I was able to avail on the Pay Per View from my cable provider and I paid the equivalent amount of $18 for I guess 1 day of viewing, this includes the live Fight and replay of the fight.

Guys! I just wonder, how much your provider are charging you, I heard PPV for this fight is expensive but I think it varies in every country.

$18? Even Philippine cable provider if making a killing out of it. But just like I said, everyone is really glued on their TV if Manny is fighting for his country so I have no doubt that they're willing to pay just to see the fight simultaneously.

PPV is $74.99. So yeah is a bit expensive. But if those two really go at each other from the beginning then I guess it's worth specially if you're a Pacquiao fans outside of the Philippines.

Hello!
Can anyone recomend me forum like this one,but not only crypto?
Other markets.
Thanks

There are a lot of forum that talks about crypto. I'm sure Google will help you out.

But the problem is that you can't find anything out there that has a lot of knowledgeable and well informed members like in this community. I don't know what's the reason why you're looking for other forum besides bitcointalk though. Are you still not convince by the discussions here? just asking.
7439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: January 16, 2019, 06:24:01 AM
The easiest game for Today was the Warriors vs Nuggets, betting on the Warriors to win makes you feel relax while watching them.
Warriors are gonna win this game as they have a very large lead right now, Curry and Durant both have a good shooting night and Curry is very amazing as once again the 3 point shooting of his remains hot.

Who among you here bet on the Warriors to win? The line was Warriors -2, so it should easily win at this point.

Damn. Warrior's first quarter points in 51? That's insane. They also made 10 three point shot in that first quarter, setting a franchise record. And the win put them back at the driver sit and top of the Western Conference once again. That make's GSW a really difficult opponent for everyone. They're really unstoppable if all the shots are falling into places. Cousins hasn't played yet, so let's see if he perfectly fits on the team as it is reported that he is going to play on Friday.
They showed how good they are, most likely they will achieve more success and will break another record, the big 3 of the Warriors (Durant, Curry, and Thompson) are all good 3 point shooting, so if their opponent will not close them out, they will just keep shooting especially when at rhythm.

And also looks like that the Warriors is slowly peaking at this time, before the All-Star break and the put the pedal before the end of the regular season and take the number position in the West and show their detractors that they are still the team to beat.

Yes the big 3 poses a lot of problem specially if all of them will click in a game, just like we witnessed today. Thompson and Curry has 31 points each and KD added 27.

And in the last 24 hours, another exchange was hacked:

https://twitter.com/Cryptopia_NZ/status/1085084168852291586

Again, as I have said in the previous thread, there's no stopping those hackers as they really know how to exploit vulnerabilities of any exchanges.

Although I heard that the said exchange volume is not that huge, but still this is very sad assuming that the market hasn't recovered yet from all the hacks of 2018 and now this news at the start of the year.
