7461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquaio vs. Adrien Broner on: January 12, 2019, 07:05:10 AM
Continuing on the link Kemarit shared, Pacquiao, Mayweather come face to face at Clippers game. Read the comments about the news.

https://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=803493

The posters there are into boxing more than the average fan, I reckon. But a greater part of their comments do not want Floyd versus Manny 2.

Does that imply that such an event is not ready?
The first fight between these two did not need promotional tours as that fight was all the boxing fans want. If this second fight will push through i think that they need a lot of promotional activities to get the fans buy that ticket or PPV. Mayweather had already done his part during that New year's eve circus in Japan while Manny is in a must win fight with Broner to get that money fight.

I think Money vs Manny 2 will be done on July as Manny will be busy for the upcoming election this May.  Smiley

IMO, these fighters dont need to push more promotional activities to sell tickets and PPV's. Just put enough hype, like Manny's vengeance or something that could add up to Manny's legacy, like defeating the undefeated floyd. Plus their first match wasnt a one sided fight, they both have showed their skills toe to toe, although a lot of fans misinterpreted the boxing style of Floyd. I guess Floyd's recent fight and Manny's fight today is a set up for them both to establish a good rematch, and ofcourse MONEY as always.

But they still need to do some promotional in order to sell tickets. They need to create their own storyboard, yes could be revenge for Manny but for me it's flat hype.

Wanted them to see thrash talk prior to the fight, they can even fire some tweet's like what Manny did after Floyd's win against Tenshin. Or both of them going on the media circle's having interviews and start a beef or something.
7462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling strategies (beliefs) on: January 12, 2019, 06:54:42 AM
What are the strategies you believe which can brings to win for you even though in the practical there is no strategy from you.Just speak from your heart. Cheesy

There's no such thing as strategies, if you see someone using this sort of strategy or something, at the end it will caught up with him/her resulting in a loss. Some of the gamblers are weird though, they belief in superstitions but I don't believed them. It's just coincidence or pure luck.

My strategy is to play two or three bets with small bets,if I win something hen I believe I am lucky today so I will continue few more bets and sometimes it helps too. Kiss

What if on the fourth bet you lose? And then you big bet thinking that you're lucky? Grin
7463  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: failure to gain profit on: January 12, 2019, 06:43:29 AM
The crypto market is currently very unstable. I am easily affected, in panic selling conditions like now I sometimes sell bitcoin at a price lower than the purchase price. The result is a fatal loss.

Then obviously you will loss because that's a wrong mindset to begin with. You should understand that the market is very volatile and try not to be emotional. Tryto understand yourself, and not to panic and wait till the market subsides or settle down.

So far, I have only relied on news information obtained from forums and social media and a little understanding of the foundation of price charts and market movements to make investment decisions in Bitcoin.

Then what is the way so that I can make a big profit ...?

How to effectively avoid unnecessary losses ...?

What's your investment goal? Short or Long term?

Did you invest what you can afford to lose?

As @adaseb have said, if you're not comfortable because of the worsening market conditions, I suggest you better not to enter and try to learn more about crypto investments.
7464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hong Kong Billionaire Backing Bakkt on: January 12, 2019, 06:33:54 AM

i doubt its a good thing if a billionaire is backing something, i dont think it will matter much anymore

I wonder why you said that. Isn't more money will a project to move much faster? I thought this was a good thing.

It is a good thing as long as he holds his position. We need rich holders as we need poor ones. The only danger is he may create an enormous sell pressure if he decides to leave crypto. As long as he believes in crypto there is nothing to worry about.

I believe there will be many other billionaires who is going to back bakkt. He is just the first one. When the others join the party, everything will happen so fast.

They already raised a total of $182.5 million and has partnered with a lot of companies so there's a possibility that even if he dumps we still have something so there's nothing to worry about.

I do hope that many rich people if they hadn't done so, will going to back Bakkt as it is geared towards short and long term goal so let's see how it goes.
7465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Nowa posted stock photos for their "Team" on: January 11, 2019, 05:00:32 AM
Stock photos? Weird, Because this is a first sign that the people behind are not to be trusted and could possible pull a exit scam.

I'm not familiar with ETH Nowa though, but with the same they handled themselves, might be better if people will stay out of this project.

To the OP, you might want to post accusation in this thread as well to give this community a fair warning, Scam Accusations (if you hadn't done so.)
7466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I Lost ETH Automatically From Ledger Nano S on: January 11, 2019, 04:44:28 AM
It's weird, Nano S is one of the best if not the best hardware wallet out there. I think you need to rethink the steps you have taken, perhaps you were online or something that might have leaked your Private Key somewhere.

Maybe its better if you could post your issues in this thread: Development & Technical Discussion > Alternative clients.

I'm sure someone more technical can give you an answer.
7467  Economy / Speculation / Re: no 1 reason why the bulls are starting real soon!!! on: January 11, 2019, 03:04:31 AM
There is still no sign for bullrun even there are already uptrends in the price of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. These uptrends are mostly on short term and is always followed by dump or decline so it means factors that will trigger a bullrun are still not there. I think the price of cryptocurrencies will go up or down whatever the situation in the stock market.

Right, the bulls is still nowhere to be found. Although we see some sign of the price spike in recent days, it's not enough to push it even further resulting into another dump in the last 24 hours.

So as much as we wanted to see the bulls forming around, it's not the case because the bears is too strong at this point and it seems that they're not exhausted, although they are weakening, we might see them pull one dramatic scenario wherein bitcoin will go down below $3K, before we can finally see the bulls wrestle the market from them.
7468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyron Woodley vs. Kamaru Usman booked for UFC 235 on: January 11, 2019, 02:59:02 AM
I'm just wondering though why Colby Covington was given a pass by UFC though, isn't he the interim belt holder? Or Dana is building another storyboard for Woodley?

Per a poll by Ariel, 79% would rather see Covington fight Woodley then Usman 21%
https://twitter.com/ColbyCovMMA/status/1078370451322224640

Safe to say that all the shit talking going on between Dana White and Covington is genuine, and probably the reason he isnt getting a title shot.

Ok. so it looks like Dana White has taken this personally. Not healthy if you're going to ask me, or you can call it a bitch move. I guess if Woodley will win there's no way for Dana but to set the fight between the two though.

As far as I can remember, Covington has been stripped of that interim belt already.

I agree with @cellard the guy has been a douche bag and trolling Dana for a long time now. Please read his recent rant here:

Quote
“Dana White’s out in the media saying ‘Colby’s not taking the fights, we don’t allow that in the UFC. He can go fight somewhere else,'” Covington said. “So what I’m saying is, OK, Dana. Let’s see if you’re a man of your balls. Let’s see if you’re a man of your word. Let’s see if you can stick to what you say. You said you don’t allow that in the UFC? All right. I’m testing you, mother(expletive). Let’s see how big your balls are. Release me, b—h.”

https://mmajunkie.com/2019/01/colby-covington-says-dana-white-a-piece-of-shit-person-with-no-morals-or-values

I'm sure Dana is more willing to drop this guy anytime soon. Might be some legal papers, but I'm not surprised if Covington found himself jobless in the next coming months. The money is still in UFC, he can go around other organizations but I doubt he will get the more money.
7469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you still continue? on: January 11, 2019, 02:46:36 AM
Those who are totally addicted to gambling they might not leave a single penny for sure. Check out what user niceboy have posted. I personally would never bet such an amount which may cost me having a bad time in my daily expenditures.
They don't care with the money left on their pockets. What's important to them is to gamble and satisfy themselves but having that behavior of not caring with the money left that's allocated for something important is totally out of mind.

I agree. I always witnessed this when I played in a landbase casino, people will approach you with every excuses in the book, and not even a penny to get a taxi and go home.

Don't bet if you really can't take it anymore and consider yourself going broke if you don't control your behavior into gambling. Having bad times are sure in gambling but have a bad day with a very small amount of losses and don't spend important budget.

That's why need to be responsible when gambling. Just bring enough money in your wallet and leave all your cards in the house. I have been in that situation before and it's really hard to get out and the psychological pressure will really hurt you specially if you don't have the money to pay the bills because you lost everything.
7470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night 143 on: January 11, 2019, 02:28:22 AM
Yes Max, I mean mich, it is what it is hehehe.

In any case, UFC fight night 143 might not see as many viewers because the casual fans will watch Manny Pacquiao versus Adrien Broner. I admit I would choose to watch Manny than TJ and Henry Cejudo. However if Mighty Mouse Johnson was the UFC flyweight champion, it would be a hard decision hehehe.

Oh I totally forgot that they have the same date with the Pacquiao vs Broner so it will be an easy decision for fans to choose the Pacquaio fight.

Anyways, I don't see Henry Cejudo winning against TJ Dillashaw here, TJ is well rounded fighter for me, and his movements and striking skills is above every one else in the flyweight/bantam division.

No, I reckon TJ's weight cut should be in serious consideration. Can he do the weight cut? I reckon cutting from middleweight to welterweight might not be as easy as cutting from bantamweight to flyweight. It might make it harder the lower weight classes.

The less fat the body has, the weight loss must come from the loss of muscle mass. This might weaken TJ.

It could be but I think TJ and his team are too intelligent enough to lessen the effect of his weight cut for this cut. He posted some Intagram picture of him at the limit if my memory serves me right that's why I don't see it a big issue on him.

I reckon TJ doesn't have big bones that's why he was able to squeeze his frame to 125 lbs. Might take him weeks to accomplished it though, and he can quickly re-hydrate after the weigh-in. So let's see how he perform in this weight class and see the drastic effect of his cut, if there's any.
7471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquaio vs. Adrien Broner on: January 11, 2019, 02:20:26 AM
Am getting really excited for this!
Lots of money will be on my hometown hero Manny.

Everyone is really excited to see Manny in the fight again. Although he is already past his prime, he still has something to proved and Broner is just another hurdle for him to overcome in order to have a rematch with Floyd Mayweather.

And usually, it's part of the Filipino tradition to watch their hero, not only in the Philippines but all over the world. You can see everyone gather in front of the TV with everyone, families, friends, neighbors Lol. I'ms sure crime rate will be down again or near 0 in the Philippines.  Grin

7473  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It is not your fault that you are loosing in trading! on: January 10, 2019, 04:22:45 AM
Now is one of the best times to buy cryptocurrencies and make a daily profit, look at the market, some give 5-10% profit per day!

That is if you know how to short bitcoin or any crypto coins right now. There are ways to make profit in this bear market but you know that there are also a huge risk involved with it. So totally not advisable for noobs traders right now.

You really need to learn to be at technical or at least learn some mid to advance TA before venturing on that trading strategy. Might be good for some though and I'm sure that they have really take advantage of every situation and book profits daily.
7474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin in Southeast Asia be legal? on: January 10, 2019, 04:16:02 AM
Because to my knowledge there are several countries in southeast asia that have not legalized bitcoin. And what is our endeavor for bitcoin in southeast asia to be legal like any other country (which has legalized bitcoin).
Will the impact be positive or negative?
It will be nice to see if Southeast Asian countries legalized bitcoin because they can easily adapt bitcoin. In my country which is the Philippines , we adapt and accept bitcoin and it was use in different part of our country. I think if bitcoin was legalized then it can give a huge positive impact because it will help the economy of that country .

It can only help the economy at a certain level, imho. The greatest effect will be on people, specially those who don't have access to a bank or doesn't want to put their money on them.

And it will also gives a lot of financial freedom for people who live in a country wherein crypto is legal or at least regulated like some countries in South East Asia.
7475  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bottom is in !! on: January 10, 2019, 04:06:30 AM
I think that once we break 3000 we will go significantly lower... 2500 or even 2000$.

Obviously, it can even go as low as $1500 as others have predicted.

Once price breaks 3000 there will be again alot of fear... so most people will be looking to sell, not to buy. The only people who are interested to buy once fear comes to the market are people with good technical and fundamental background, and they will position their buy orders at significant strategic price levels, and those might go down as far as 1300...

It's just part of the market and we have seen that bitcoin is very volatile that's why you need to be very careful here. FUD will be around so just learn how to trade and take advantage of every situation wherein you can buy cheap bitcoins and either short it or hold for long term.
7476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2018 in 4 Words – ICOs and Ethereum Are Dead on: January 10, 2019, 04:00:43 AM
Why do you think that ethereum is dead?
I don't really think so! Eth price has jumped from 80$ to 150$ within a week! Incredible result!
People say that because they want to scare people away from an investment that could be the best during the next month, even if you invest in ethereum now I do not see how you could lose money since after the hard fork the price of ethereum will go many times higher than its current price, but if they do not want to believe it let them and get the profits for yourself.

Just because ETH has lost so much value (85%-90%) we can declare them as "dead". It's just another obstacles that I'm sure it can overcome in the next couple of months or years.

It has regained and recovered to three digits again, a good sign that investors are willing to invest so I doubt ETH can simply go away. If you have bought it as $80 then you're already in the positive profits by now because it has peaked around $150 at the moment.
7477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: January 10, 2019, 03:36:39 AM
Noel got injured really badly, I really hope its nothing serious.
For a second, I thought it was Joel Embiid, it's the first name that came in my mind and thanks I just misread it because I don't know if the Sixers still has a chance to enter into playoffs without him. Here's some of the link http://www.nba.com/article/2019/01/08/nerlens-noel-stretchered-vs-timberwolves, for those who haven't watch the game like me.

Injuries cannot be avoided in NBA due to the physicality of the game but I hope for a speedy recovery of Nerlens Noel.

Was able to watch the game on TV and it was really a scary fall because his head literally bounce off. Good to hear that he is ok with no serous injuries whatsoever.

Yes, the game was evolved so much that sometimes injury can't really avoided. It was a good win though for the Wolves with their interim coach, youngest coach ever but I think it will be a good move if they hire someone with experience, imho.
7478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nobody wins in gambling anyway on: January 10, 2019, 02:00:08 AM
Not true my friend, I know a lot of gamblers who actually took the advantage of gaining extra profit just by gambling, it is facts and its just the matter of putting luck in the games that you play, it is hard and once you get addicted to it you cannot stop until you had no more money, but I don't think that all gamblers will lose, some gamblers find this just a source of entertainment but for some gamblers they  need to make profit and have set their goals over the casino.

It depends upon person to person. Some people win and earn good in gambling while other just lose their money. Everyone come to play gambling but not everyone can win. If everyone starting wining, then how will the casino will earn ?  So, its everyone luck on how they go about this and Win or lose.

Yes everything is based on luck. So some day you are lucky and win and most of the days you don't. So just try to play in moderation and not force something that is beyond your control.

Get out if you are in a losing streak and just go back some other time. Not unless you have a huge bankroll that you're willing to lose everything in a single wise. Be a intelligent and wise gambler so that you can minimize your losses as well.
7479  Economy / Economics / Re: All times are good to enter crypto - Tim Draper on: January 10, 2019, 01:51:18 AM
It depends if the investor is a newbie or an experienced trader. Anyone who knows crypto and can daytrade can make money in any type of market, but for newbies they should only join during a bull run when everything rises - but at different rates

Of course everyone here is a newbie when they entered the market, How can you be a experienced trader if you haven't done it before. You may have experienced in stocks or other markets but crypto is different so everyone is back to 0 when entering here.

The best time to enter is when we're in the bottom, but it's hard to identify it and there are times you're going to catch the falling knives. Just try a small amount in the beginning and see how it goes for you, if you like then they invest more but be wary of the risk involved.
7480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling addiction mainly due to loneliness and dissatisfaction? on: January 10, 2019, 01:45:38 AM
Yeah, indeed. Especially those who are weaboos. They love gambling because they cannot interact with other people.

"What does weeaboo mean?

Weeaboo is a mostly derogatory slang term for a Western person who is obsessed with Japanese culture, especially anime, often regarding it as superior to all other cultures."

https://www.dictionary.com/e/slang/weeaboo/

Not good to use it dude.

Again, there's a lot of factors and its going to isolated which one is really the culprit for this gambling addiction. Everything should be in moderation, but if you think you're addicted already, you need to seek some help outside.
