7481  Economy / Marketplace / Re: $1 Billion Dollar’s Worth of Cryptocurrency Stolen in 2018 on: January 10, 2019, 01:17:29 AM
This report shows us all how much the cryptoculture in the world is just beginning to develop.
And there is still a lot to be done for the security of the developers of crypto-exchanges.

Correct, although we have reached our 10th year anniversary, crypto is still on its infancy stage so a lot of growing up pains to see and experience like hackings. It will continue though because hackers are always one step of the game.

However, I'm sure that exchanges are also evolving and trying to prevent this so called hacks to happen to them because (1) the money they invested will evaporate that quick (2) they will lose the trust of their customers, thus might go and end up bankrupt (3) restitution payment will be a headache if they don't have the money to cover for the losses.
7482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain growth in Malaysia on: January 10, 2019, 01:11:11 AM
I heard that he is implementing several projects in Malaysia. I think Malaysia is a good market for some blockchain projects.

Developing countries can really benefited from Blockchain Technology. Obviously, they are still on the development phase and using Blockchain at this early stage will move them toward a 1st world very quick with the help of this technology.

But I was quite surprised though with using NEM, why not Ethereum though? Who advises them to used NEM?
7483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WIll ETH pass BTC in 2019 ? on: January 09, 2019, 02:28:31 AM
it depends on what aspect of ethereum will pass bitcoin, but in my opinion in terms of bitcoin will never be exceeded ethereum, if in terms of price it is very unlikely because ethereum prices are very far from the price of bitcoin and in terms of trading is also still dominated by bitcoin.

I'm definitely sure that the OP is talking about the market price. So it's obvious that the answer will be NO because of the big difference in the current price (three digit for Ethereum) so it will take a lot of money to even get to four digits, so there's no way for Ethereum to pass bitcoin not even in the next 2-3 years.

As for the speed per transaction, no doubt that it's much faster than bitcoin because it is based on smart contracts and the network is not always clogged.
7484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2019 is it the new beginning will come to crypto currencies? on: January 09, 2019, 02:22:06 AM
I am sure 2019 will bring something new, because at the end of 2018 I saw a new sign that in 2019 it has appeared. I hope that good things will come right.

We can never really tell at this point what 2019 would bring. At the beginning of 2018 we see the price fluctuates and everyone still very bullish but it turn out that everyone is almost wrong.

I do hope that we learn a lot of mistakes in 2019 and not apply in anymore in 2019. Although it's good to remain bullish, but sometimes we really need to accept the fact that bitcoin is going on another scary ride this year unless some news or a catalyst emerge to put the price higher at what we are right now.
7485  Economy / Economics / Re: HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE NEXT BULL RUN 2019 on: January 09, 2019, 02:16:59 AM
Investing in coins with value added and good development teams puts you in a good position to benefit from the next bull run. Patience is a rare commodity in this market, but it is what differentiates winners from loosers.

I have said, we need patience in this market. This is not like a 100 meter dash sprint, more of a marathon and those who trains hard usually wins at the end.

I'm just going thru top 10 coins though, not buying shitcoins that has no purpose whatsoever. Ethereum is a good choice besides bitcoin. I think Ethereum has hit bottom already, so there's no way but to go up in the coming two years.
7486  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN in 2029 on: January 09, 2019, 02:11:37 AM
in my opinion too far if we talk bitcoin in 2029, we should focus on discussing bitcoin this year and next year. in my opinion it's more useful than making careless predictions.

Of course we should definitely talk about bitcoin for this year. But you can go back to the old thread here and you will see similar post asking the what's if for bitcoin in its 10th anniversary, so here we are right now.

Time flies so fast that who won't noticed we are already in 2029 and looking back at this thread and see our predictions. I'm just hoping for a mass adoption of bitcoin or crypto in general. We might see signs all over, saying "Bitcoin Accepted" here or something.
7487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India May Legalize Cryptos But Under ‘Strong’ Rules: Report on: January 09, 2019, 02:06:04 AM
I think that legalization with strict rules is better than a ban. If in India legalize cryptocurrency, then other countries will follow the example of India and lechalize cryptocurrency.

Yeah in a sense it's better to see it regulated instead of a total ban.

It will be good if India will join the list of the countries that legalized crypto currencies but to be honest I dont see that happening because there's alot of misconception happening between the Indian government concern the issue of crypto legalization. However, India is a country which somehow like China and they like the act of force control of people.

As far as I know India is a democratic country so I don't know how you get the idea of them similar to China like forcing people to do what the government wants. They even have a hearing last year about how to regulate as well so it's very different atmosphere.
7488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler was being robbed on: January 09, 2019, 01:59:43 AM
I think this in an inside job or a gang that frequently hang around in casinos. It is very unlikely that exactly the taxi with the guy with 75k in his pocket gets robbed. There is a chance but its very unlikely. So I would guess it is an inside job or a organised gang operating in the casino.

If you are talking about a inside job that someone from casino's tip it to a gang, I really doubt about it. They could have tip a lot more people with huge amount of money not just $75K.

The blame is on the guy himself because he didn't take care of his money when he get out of the casino. It maybe a real gang who operated on that casino and targeting people alone, who make a good winnings and not aware of their surroundings when they left.
7489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I LOST OVER 10 BTC IN GAMBLING IN 2018 on: January 09, 2019, 01:52:44 AM
i want to know did you make profit in gambling or lost and i know 99% people lost their money in gambling Gambling is only for fun not a way to make money what you think Gamblers Wink Always Gamble what you afford to Lose Don't Give up LOL

Well you got your answer to your own question, majority lost and I have no doubt about that. Of course gambling should not be treated to make money because the moment you have that kind of mindset then I'm sure you will not win.

Just have some fun with your friends if you are gambling in a land based casino, or play online if you are bored or something.
7490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night 143 on: January 09, 2019, 01:28:19 AM
Yes Max, I mean mich, it is what it is hehehe.

In any case, UFC fight night 143 might not see as many viewers because the casual fans will watch Manny Pacquiao versus Adrien Broner. I admit I would choose to watch Manny than TJ and Henry Cejudo. However if Mighty Mouse Johnson was the UFC flyweight champion, it would be a hard decision hehehe.

Oh I totally forgot that they have the same date with the Pacquiao vs Broner so it will be an easy decision for fans to choose the Pacquaio fight.

Anyways, I don't see Henry Cejudo winning against TJ Dillashaw here, TJ is well rounded fighter for me, and his movements and striking skills is above every one else in the flyweight/bantam division.
7491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia to invest into Bitcoins to mitigate US sanctions - Blockmanity on: January 09, 2019, 01:22:35 AM
It seems that in fact, Russia will invest up to 10 billion dollars in Bitcoins at the end of February.I think that if this information is public, many businessmen from Russia will also begin to invest and buy bitcoin.Logically, in the spring the price of bitcoin will be much higher than today. Now I would like to see the official announcement in some Russian program.I'm sure there will be a lot of hype surrounding this news.

I beg to disagree. Why would Russian invest into a crypto backup currency which will impose high taxes? Doesn't make sense at all, besides, Russia has been contradicting about their stance since 2017 so I don't think that they will just simply allow bitcoin to flourish as well.

Just think about the Petro by Maduro, initially they said that they have like $300 million (to mitigate US sanctions as well)as investment but later it was debunked and just a figment of his imagination.
7492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple: BULL trap for Christmas? on: January 08, 2019, 08:48:58 AM
I think by now we should have arrived to the conclusion that it was a bull trap. I mean the pattern has been happening to a lot of coins not just XRP though, to be fair.

And the worst thing happened to them, as Ethereum has overtaken them and regain the second spot because of the news about it's fork (Constantinople).

But nevertheless, XRP at 3rd spot is nothing to be ashamed of. Many hated it being the "bankers coins", but if you are here to make profits then XRP is a good choice to invest right now. It could grow exponentially when the bull started to run this market again.
7493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I am sure Bitcoin Will go $50,000 End of this year because of ETF! on: January 08, 2019, 08:41:03 AM
The ETF may pass the review tomorrow or may never pass the review. I don't think we can count on events without deadlines. Working hard is what we should do.

We're at the mercy of SEC which means its beyond our control. Why would we rely on something that we don't have control with?

Besides, we have survived that first 10 years without any ETF, so it doesn't makes any difference whatsoever if it is approved or not.

Someone can argue that it will bring fresh blood to the market, yes, i would agree to that, but will the growth sustainable or this is just another way for whales to manipulate the price again and we will see another massive drop-off? It's better to be prepared for the worst situation if SEC rejects its again (most likely) next month.
7494  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC Bull after Christmas? on: January 08, 2019, 08:33:16 AM
This coming Q1 of 2019 Bitcoin will hit 5k or even 6k. Let's be positive on this kind of market. The year of capitulation is almost done. But then price will change when mass adoption happen. So I guess in the 2nd week of January bitcoin will pump.

Any information why you said that we will hit at least $5k? As far as I'm concern we are still in the bear market so its going to be difficult to see a reversal to $5k-$6k.

Anyways, all we can do is be optimistic that 2018 will be much different and let this bear market end and see a new cycle comes in. I don't like though the massive spike again, would rather see the price trading sideways or gaining slowly as months passes by.
7495  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What coins do you like to trade the most? on: January 08, 2019, 08:27:02 AM
Are you into trading? What coins do you like to trade the most and what's your trading startegy?

I think majority of us here trade with the top 10 coins in the market. But I prefer Ethereum and XRP at the moment and the some Litecoin. Although I still buy shitcoins but just to catch the wave of the pump-and-dump group and get out when I make a good profit.

I remember early last year when I was able to buy a coin that was pump x2 in just 24 hours. I don't want to be greedy and chooses to exit on time and I'm glad I did that decision because the coins lost so much value as of this time.
7496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your advice is needed on: January 08, 2019, 08:06:09 AM
I want to dedicate my life to cryptocurrency from now till five years time and see what I can learn and make from it in all way ,is it a good path to follow? Is it wise to leave my crap job behind and be fully into cryptocurrency?

Believed me, don't leave your current job just to focus on crypto activity. First, crypto is not to be considered as a stable job, it won't give you the regular pay to needed to put food in the table and pay your monthly bills.

Anyone on here that already did the same? How is the experience??

I still have a regular 9-5 job. But boy, there are a lot of people who quit their job and concentrate on crypto trading way back in 2017 when everything was really taking off. Sadly though, I don't know what happen to them specially 2018 was a complete opposite. So I advise you not to go that route. Just try to work day in day out and be patience. You can even have a regular job and enjoy crypto trading as well because they're doable.
7497  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: RESOLVED Re: YOBIT EXCHANGE...IS IT DOWN FOR YOU? on: January 08, 2019, 08:00:08 AM
It just came back up and now seems ok...

I did not intend to alarm anyone...just wanted to see if anyone was experiencing the same issue.

No harm done, But as the @The Pharmacist, have said, Yobit is one of the worst if not the worst trading platform out there. I'm sure that majority of 'experienced' traders have gone somewhere like Binance already.

Just a word of advise and precaution, stay away and moved out all your coins from Yobit. Because you don't know, they might pull a exit scam in the future.
7498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peoples truly believe A LOT in Bitcoin on: January 08, 2019, 07:52:29 AM
I really don't think that most people believe in bitcoin, faith is placed in the technology and what it can provide, I really think that decentralized blockchain is going to be extremely useful for humanity, but it only takes more people to realize its usefulness.

I think otherwise, although blockchain technology is very useful, we can only see it's true form when every sector of the society will take advantage of it, like government and private industry.

What people do is really believes that bitcoin will make them rich, we have seen it happen for early adopters and it could also happened again with bitcoin reaches another all-time-high in the next couple of years.
7499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquaio vs. Adrien Broner on: January 08, 2019, 07:03:18 AM

most will say that manny is more mature and have more experienced than his foe but being mature do also have some disadvantage . i think this is the reason why manny pacquaio lost some good matches lately   .    adrien broner on the other hand are more younger than him but less experienced though he might be faster and stronger compare to manny  . i think ill go for adrien boner this time    ,

Goodluck on your bet.

Adrien Broner is not stronger than Manny Pacquiao. And for me he is not a natural 147 lbs boxer. He even lost to Mikey Garcia which is a overhype boxer. Manny is lefty (south paw stance), which for most of the boxers, is very difficult to fight because he usually leads with his right and then the left hand is very hard to see coming.

Anyways, I guess you already made up your mind and may the best man win, (just a couple of days from now).
7500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: January 08, 2019, 06:56:26 AM
Now that Thibs is gone chances are D Rose will leave Minnesota next season but I hope his here to stay and he have developed some kind of relationship with the other players. The owner, Glen Taylor, had made it clear that he is not satisfied with his decision making both on and outside of the court. He even fired him the most harshest way possible right after winning big against the LA Lakers and even replacing him with a inexperienced coach, Ryan Saunders, as the interim coach for the rest of the season. It seems like all playoffs hopes are gone by now and tanking for Zion is the next option  Tongue
That's a big move by the Wolves management, though they have been winning lately but we have no idea what's happening inside.
Compared to Thibs record when he was in Chicago, I think he did better when Bulls was still one of the teams to beat in the East, maybe their expectations was not meet that's why they fired Thibs and try their luck with a new coach, like you said an inexperienced coach, let's such see what will happen.
New coach new combinations and new blending, the chemistry between players and how the new coach will adjust and let the team play together, we will see the results of firing a coach and how the replacement will work to continue being one of those competitive teams inside the league, DRose and Wiggins with KAT, Gibson and Saric with their new coach, how far this team will achieved this season.

I don't think that Saunder will be their coach long term. Maybe just an interim for now and I think they would hire someone to be the "head coach". Usually firing of coach brings fresh air to the team to let's see how it goes for the Wolves. Although this year was really tough, they are still in the position to get a playoff spot.

@LogitechMouse - Yeah, I think at this point Harden is unguardable, even though you know his moves, its really hard to keep pace with him because of his quick first move.
