761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: June 09, 2014, 07:38:25 AM
Please help! I had lost a coins. I sent the coin to the Bittrex. Info about this transaction in cinni-walet has more than 1100 confirmations. But bittrex wallet is still empty. I checked this the transaction on http://cinnichain.info :

Address 0 CINNI
Address JaX6yyRCrtJMQNpo85VEkFSw3hSVGkqGWf
Copied!
Summary confirmed
Total Received
0 CINNI
Total Sent
0 CINNI
Final Balance
0 CINNI
No. Transactions
0

what address did you send from?  Check that address on block explorer and see if it shows correct balance there before you sent coins?
I think i may know whats happened here, bittrex wont be able to help you with this.  but i dont think yr coins are lost.  u need to check the address/es u sent from first, if you see the balance of that address is the same as before you sent to bittrex this is what you should do

quit the walletqt. download latest walletqt.  create a backup of wallet.dat. delete everything in cinni data folder except wallet.dat.  restart walletqt. let blockchain download from start.  (or you can use one of the posted blockchains (see below) to save some time)
once its fully synced, you can then send your cinni to bittrex.

Posted an updated blockchain for anyone wanting a faster sync.  Its complete up to Block 159230 (about an hour ago)

Code:
CINNI_BlockChain_2014-06-02_(159230).7z 90.6 MB
https://mega.co.nz/#!RBpj2KxS!vrin8Oz-cke5HbMvKk9FBP1m-X1TPQeZ0msdvbJDdD0

The main benefit of downloading blockchain like this instead of directly in wallet is to simply save ALOT of time if you are resyncing for some reason. This blockchain was downloaded completely using the most recent cinni wallet release and simply needs to be placed in the appdata or -datadir for your cinni wallet. After you starting the wallet and it has loaded it will carry on syncing from block 159230 to the latest saving time and avoiding the problems of a long resync like stucked blocks etc

Who runs http://cinni-news.com ?

It hasn't been updated with any news for past 4 days. (and we've had plenty past few days!)

check the left side, its been updated.  the news in thread last few days is just reposts from the days before.

763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are transaction fees expected to rise over time? on: June 08, 2014, 02:38:34 AM
Let your bitcoins age/use older inputs and you will pay 0 tx fees Wink

A transaction may be safely sent without fees if these conditions are met:
It is smaller than 1,000 bytes.
All outputs are 0.01 BTC or larger.
Its priority is large enough (see the Technical Info section below)

Transaction priority is calculated as a value-weighted sum of input age, divided by transaction size in bytes:
priority = sum(input_value_in_base_units * input_age)/size_in_bytes

766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: June 06, 2014, 04:46:13 AM
I am having an issue with failed transactions. I have 3 right now that have been pending for a few days. 1 is a POS deposit and the other two are outgoing tx. I have searched the blockchain and it does not have the tx for the transactions. I have ran checkwallet and repairwallet as well and still cant get them to confirm. I have tried to resend the tx and still no confirmations. I am using the latest wallet as well and everything is synced. Any chance I can recover the coins? There are about 2000Cinni in limbo.

Swap out the wallet.dat with a backup you have that is before you made the transactions.  If you dont have a backup wallet.dat then you will need to dump the private keys from your current wallet (check for change addresses as well in coincontrol window) and then import them into a freshly generated wallet to regain access to your Cinni.

Until dev releases a fixed wallet you should always make a backup wallet.dat before sending/spending so you can revert back easily should this occur again.  repairwallet is useful before you spend/send some cinni and will help prevent it happening and ensure wallet displays correct balance after staking.

Seems i could have save some time and jumped straight to the richest addresses here : https://coinplorer.com/CGB/Addresses/0/Top

Apologies if this has been mentioned before, its the first time i've seen it.

Very interesting list to check and some perspective Cheesy

770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: THE INVESTOR'S CRYPTO | Cryptogenic Bullion | CGB on: June 06, 2014, 03:28:47 AM
Thought i try and track a a few deposits of CGB i've made in the past to cr*ptsy but i've only made a few so am limited to following those txs, but I found this interesting address that has had a large amount of CGB moved to it recently and has a balance of 180001 CGB.
Now I could be mistaken but i believe its a crypsty wallet that will be seen to stake at a later point in the year. The tidy 20k inputs are from addresses that can be seen to have staked previously and have held large amounts of CGB. Maybe its is a mid year tidy up (after all the previous splitting from PoS) for the "owner" Cheesy

http://blocks.gotcrypto.net/address/5SHzAQkDJ6w9fH6c7rC8C5Bxiu1pyMLbcs

Maybe if some others could track a few of their historic deposits and see if they end up at same addresses on http://blocks.gotcrypto.net/, it would give a better idea of how much CGB is controlled by the exchange.  This address alone contains over 18% or nearly 1/5 of total CGB that exists. Shocked

771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: THE INVESTOR'S CRYPTO | Cryptogenic Bullion | CGB on: June 06, 2014, 02:46:47 AM

higher % stake does not reward existing holders at all (creates dilution which decreases each units price), it actually screws over everyone who bought in because of rarity (ie knowing the market cap would stay under 1 mil). instantly evaporating any trust.
yes coins do it in panic mode as a bandaid approach to save a coin, but only those who either directly want to bail or honest people with very little real understanding of economics, market dynamics and/or the trustless system btc introduced.

Existing holders get all the stake. It is up to them to sell or keep it. There is no 'dilution'  whatever the % stake is: Dilution would only happen if a new group or a limited group got additional stake.

100% pa would be the sort of stake that would get new 'investors' interested, and they would have to buy from existing holders, who would dictate the price. There is very little supply on the market.

Cr*psty would LOVE this idea.  Imagine all the CGB they have currently thanks to user deposits and the potential CGB they would generate to dump onto market with a change like this.  Cr*ptsy is the most likely the BIGGEST holder of CGB and would take full advantage of increased PoS interest to dump onto market.  This would allow any exchange with a large amount of CGB deposited there to use tradevestors deposits against them on a scale that is not currently possible thanks to low interest and demote CGB to just another cryptocoin. I think you should confirm everyones public btc addresses in your thread, you can publish a list of public btc shareholder addresses and the shares associated with them and then proceed to direct dividends+refund.  We can check that our addresses and shares held are correct.

Bitcoin blockchain will provide irrefutable proof of your payout to shareholders after they have confirmed their public/shareholder btc address to you.

Using CT voucher codes messaged internally to shareholders wont allow for the same level of transparency or security for this situation, assuming dividend system is not working currently for you.  There also an issue for some users who may no longer have access to their CT accounts for whatever reason.

man. i lost over 20k cinni cause of some wallet error. worst. It's synced but no confirmations on the pos mining or the money I sent to mintpal. Been stuck for 3 days.

Did you stake any of that cinni before you sent to mintpal?

Revert to a backup wallet.dat that is created before the send to mintpal, assuming you are synced on correct chain all your cinni will present in the addresses.  Alternatively you can dump all the privatekeys from your current wallet.dat and import them into a new wallet.dat.  (be sure to check and include change addresses).

nah never claimed any wall was me i have always said im a small holder

The wall i claimed it to be and still think is doing it is UTCLOVER

I think you hold alot more Cinni then you imply here, relative to utclover it might be called small but you hav been supportive of him and methods in this thread before, and also in previous posts told everyone that you are using the same tricks yourself.

778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: THE INVESTOR'S CRYPTO | Cryptogenic Bullion | CGB on: June 05, 2014, 02:37:20 AM
Sadly, the currencies which stuck to their original plans, apart from a tiny handful, just withered away.

The flip side is any divergence from the original plan that alters the total coin supply or the rate in which coins are distributed, defeats the whole trust less system, this is lost on so many panic change quickly or die mentality of the old school coins of late.

I think we are all (altcoins) really grinding through a tough patch as Bitcoin recovers from the recent hostile positions taken against it by government and big business alike. I bet there is a lot of soul searching going on out there.  I know what you mean by the panic driven change, and have taken many opportunities in the past to present a calm and rational view. For us, it is a bit of a unique situation. Very few coins have had to deal with the turbulence of moving beyond the mining phase, which seems to attract all of the attention. We now have to forge ahead and create value in ways other than mining focused speculation. Details to follow shortly..

Coin original supply is one thing of course, but the opportunity for new entrants to acquire holdings introduces new blood and ideas. Revival is difficult without that. A higher % stake is a good way to reward existing holders. There also needs to be a cheap plentiful supply on the market for a while.

Time , and price, will tell which are the dominant features in a CryptoCurrency. There are an immense number of competing coins, and most communities have their own good ideas, but they cannot all win (in fact I would say very few can be winners).

Most coins are for 'Investors' because there are very few real payment applications.

+1  Only reason i'm holding CGB is because of rarity and low interest, it would not make sense otherwise.  I've been into CGB since the early days and have seen it at a wide range of prices and most of what i'm holding has been bought from 120k and under, bulk of it i withdrew and kept in my wallet.  I was able to pick another 200 from recent dumps and i'm sending most of this to my wallet as well for long term holding and staking.

Waiting on confirms as we speak. We will try to send a satoshi to each share first to be certain of crypto-trade's dividend processing, then distributing the rest. If for some reason this fails, expect a CT redemption code in your private message inbox via crypto-trade's site.

has this been done yet?  i haven't received a test satoshi or redemption code yet.

Update: First screenshot of Encrypted Messaging GUI.

The backend of the encrypted messaging protocol has been completed. The GUI is now being completed and we will have all screens shots up by Thursday evening. Final testing will begin after the GUI is complete.

This is a glimpse into the progress that has been made. As we are ahead of development schedule, we have included in the soon to be released wallet update a feature originally scheduled for the second wallet release three weeks from now...the IRC chat box.

looks great.  Will there be an option to diable in .conf the chatbox and prevent it loading or an alternative version that doesnt include it?  Not everyone wants that in their wallet.
And most important development would be to start using versions in wallet code and release zip filename, a brief release notes.txt,  anything less just seems sloppy at this point. Wink
