Yes you can.
Some soldier joins can crack with the severe cold. and then heat.
That being said for the most part you do not have to worry.

would 'baby' purr better? (ie how cold is too cold or don't matter)

You can't have too cold when it comes to mining machines. (as long as you don't have condensation)

This is great news.
We need a good Web page dev if anyone is interested so we can being implementing our goals and start getting funds to people in need.

With the reject rates has anyone tried going to a pool like BTCG and manually setting the difficulty?  That seemed to fix the reject rate for the coincraft 1 th/s units I have had.  Letting the pool manage the baseline left high reject rates for some reason.  When I manually set the base the problem stopped.
765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner 3.2 w/Remoting: Your rigs. Your coins. Your pools. Your way. on: July 11, 2014, 07:23:35 PM
I noticed that MultiMiner is working great with the Rockminer series.  The RK3 I will have my review done soon.  It was dead simple with MM.
I cannot wait for Nate to get back from vacation to stomp out some bugs because other than those few things it just allows miners to work.
Let me know what freq you can push them with.

I have gotten so spoiled with MM I have to get my MinePeon skills back in shape as I have a ton of miners to review and need to move some of my current miners to Pi's and their final home racks.  LOL

I do have to sell off a bunch of my miners too.  I have to pay for nearly $100k in medical bills now since my surgery and subsequent trip to the ER and hospital stay just trying to get home.  I am keeping the SP10 though I love that miner it is the best hands down.

MultiMiner picked up my RK-Box no problems! Later i will test the FREQ change and see if I can get the rocket miner up to FULL speed.

I like this idea as well.
It would be great but difficult.  So many coins. LOL

That would be cool! Make a universal DB for all the physical coins.

haha yeah, I'm slowly getting there. Wink
767  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ROCKMINER ASIC miner official thread on: July 10, 2014, 12:48:33 AM
Very cool.  That is good to know.
I have plenty of those fans lying around.

Now that is a serious step in the right direction.
Looks like good air flow and not a tentacle monster of cables.
How is the noise level?

Guys you're going to love the R3-Box. Its such a step up and has an inbuilt Pi and USB hub.

Oh don't worry, its a tentacle monster allright, but all the cables are internal. The only external you have is one ethernet and 4 PCI-Es which are all close together. If you've got one of those server PSUs you can almost put it 'in' the miner as well.

Noise levels are like an S1 when it ramps up a bit, but its totally overcooled. The chips closer to the fan are reporting 8-12C over ambient, those further away 22C over ambient. I've suggested putting a $5 fan on the other end and using software to lower the original fan down. Its a proper 4 pin fan so we have full control.

Nothing works.
It is driving me nuts I used it for my review and had 3 working with 6 rockminers and 1 redfury all on the same system.  Now they MM will not see them.

Its nuts the system I have this one on does not detect it.  I can use BFG with it and it detects it but the commands in MM do not work to even detect it.  Clean system.
So odd.
This is what I use for BFG.
Code:
--zeus-cc 6 --zeus-clk 328 --nocheck-golden -S zeus:\\.\COM42
In MM it does not even detect the miner.

Have you tried scanning the exact COM into the scan arguments box? I have zer0 exp with any script asics other than the gridseed orbs.

Glad to see you're doing better though!

Thanks again.
I love the coins.   Grin

Just emailed.
I have been totally out of it post surgery.
Thanks for the reminder I appreciate it.

Sorry for the delay.
When I got home from my surgery friday my coins were waiting for me.
They look great and the hologram is nicely detailed.
I am still kind of out of it but I will post pictures later this week when I get feeling better.
Thanks for doing such a great job.

Cool, please remember to email us in order to fund your coins!

Yeah that is the exact com port.  I will add it into the scan argument though.  I forgot that.

Every time I see the violence that goes on over there my heart goes out to you all.  I have a few friends who live there and it is saddening to see.
I am glad you are all ok.

To all our customers (even the unreal provocateur ones) - we're ok.
We got a lot of heartwarming emails and we wanted to thank you.

It's not an easy situation for us, but we'll manage. Rest assure that the orders will be shipped on time.

Some facts:

- Our houses and families are within range of the missiles. Most of the population are.
- Our offices are about 100 meter from Intel 22nm Fab (soon 10nm Fab), which means that we have excellent Iron Dome coverage.
- Flextronics manufacturing plant is in the far north, well outside the range of the current conflict. Shipping is done from there.
- The mandatory enlisting of reserved forces is minimal. None of our engineers and employees have been drafted.

Just what I was looking for.
Been having a hell of a time clearing my head after the surgery.  The dam meds don't help.
Thanks as always.

Ok I have been out of the hospital a couple days now from my surgery.
I have a fresh system I am going to run the Blizzards on.  I cannot remember the arguments to put in to get them to detect and set freq etc?  I know it is in this thread somewhere but after 20 mins of searching I am missing it.
Can someone repost it for me please?
I think after I heal up I will be starting a repository of arguments and guides to MM.  I will make sure anyone can contribute to it.  I will get a URL and such this week for it.
Today made me realize how daunting it can be to new users.  I am just pain and medication addled.  I want to make this easy and helpful for everyone.
Thanks again.
I hope you are all doing well.

Yo bro, I just googled and found this...

Code:
The chip’s Freq(Mhz) = Freqcode*1.5

If you want chip work at 300Mhz:

Freqcode = 200 = 0xC8

Freqcode’s complement = 0xFF – 0xC8 = 0x37

Found it here..

So, I downloaded this for the first time tonight... started getting non-stop NET and exception errors like I see some of you are as well..

I use Comodo internet security... I had to go in and add an exclusion to the sandbox and behavior listing under the HIPS settings...

so far so good one eliminating all the exceptions/errors I was getting

What OS?

Win7 64bit on a foxconn mini pc

I'd say pull your error logs and post them up Wink

Quite true.

No it gets warm but not hot.
With the SP30 on the way and getting a rack to put my miners in I want to be a bit more proactive about power cables on some of the beasts coming out.

SP30s have 2 PSUs each at about the same power as the SP10 so no different. Most power cables are rated up to 60C as well, which is about the point which they're too hot to touch. This isn't even the failure, its just their rating.

Definitely going to be kicking things into gear now.

Website developers admins are needed as we are working on growing everything out.  There are plenty of positions that need filling.  If you would like to help out contact Gravitate or post over at the WAC forum.

Dogie where have you been able to pick up longer 14 awg cables for the higher draw miners?
I am not liking 16 awg with the SP10 even though it is fine.  I can only find 3 foot ones on amazon.

I'm pretty sure the cable will be rated to way above the fuse rating, or it will be breaking some safety standard. Ie even those in the UK which are a 6A fuse, that's still 1440W. The 13A ones are hard to find and are ridiculously thick. Is yours getting hot?
