761  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: TUTORIAL: How to memorize a private key/passphrase on: February 22, 2016, 05:36:32 PM
dude, just write them on a paper or something. it's easy to forget stuff when you don't think about them for a while. so if you got sick for, say, a week you'll most likely forget a word or five.
762  Other / Meta / Re: Why on: February 22, 2016, 01:55:51 PM
I do understand that we are all members of bitcointalk.org.  We have to earn are membership rink on the site.  Why is it so hard to find good help for newbies.

I am able to buy and sell and Loans for BTC.  If I post then I get Negative feedback.
Why is it so hard to give newbies a chance to show off what they have know.

false. you only will get negative feedback if you try to buy btc using a reversible payment method, selling hacked or other illegal goods, asking a loan without collateral, or other things that make others think "scam!" right after they read it.
even then there will be users who warns you to read the stickies or lock the topic or whatnot so that you can learn and avoid the negative feedback.
763  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How can my unconfirmed BTC transaction just disappear? (Withdrawal of Payza) on: February 21, 2016, 07:58:29 PM
you still have the transaction ID? I know you said the transaction disappeared but maybe you opened the tx in some block explorer so it got to your browser history.
764  Other / Meta / Re: How does the trust system work? on: February 21, 2016, 07:05:29 PM
basically it is the total score calculated based on the 2nd and 3rd (there's no 4th. theymos removed it.) scores. here's the full algorithm:
Code:
if there are no negative ratings
score = 0
for each rating, oldest to newest
if this rater has already been counted
continue
score += min(10, round_up(months since rating))
else
score = unique_positive - 2^(unique_negative)
if score >= 0
start_time = time of first negative
score = unique_positive since start_time - unique_negative since start_time
if(score < 0)
return ??? (orange)

move score to range [-9999,9999]
return score

765  Other / Meta / Re: Are all the avatars allowed ? on: February 21, 2016, 06:52:48 PM
Quote
1) Is nudity allowed? If so, to what extreme? To a non nsfw tag?

No.

Quote
2) Is NSFL allowed? [NSFL = Not Safe For Life]

No.

Quote
3) Is other adult content allowed?

Maybe.

If I receive (or anticipate receiving) several complaints about something, it's probably too much.

Quote
4) Are paid avatar campaigns allowed?

Yes.

Quote
5) Is copyright content allowed? How should copyright holders request deletion of infringing content?

You are not allowed to infringe copyright, of course. I have no way of knowing whether you have a license to use particular images, and it's additionally sometimes difficult to determine whether fair use applies, so I will not be proactively removing possibly-infringing images. The DMCA process is used.

Quote
6) Is racial / sexist content allowed?

Probably.

Quote
7) Is there a limit on 'annoyingness'?

Animation is not allowed, so I feel like it'd be difficult to create an avatar that is sufficiently annoying that I'd want to remove it.

Quote
8 ) Are 'imitation' avatars allowed? Ie wearing avatars of specific companies to give the false impression of representation.

Copying someone's avatar in order to impersonate them or cause confusion is not allowed. But if you both use some generic picture of some famous person or something, that's probably not going to count, and using elements of someone's avatar for purposes other than impersonation will probably be allowed. Same for companies.

Quote
9) How should users report those with infringing avatars?

DMCA takedown notices or any other legal thing must be emailed to me. For other issues, post about it in Meta.

there you go.  Wink
766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction not yet confirmed!! on: February 21, 2016, 03:16:05 PM
When i try to reboardcast it , it just gives me the same TX id , so not sure if i am doing correct!!

Can someone do it for me?

I just pushed it.
and yeah after you enter the raw tx on most wallet you'll get the same tx ID. there should be a send or broadcast button, simply click it.
767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction not yet confirmed!! on: February 21, 2016, 03:07:08 PM
Is their a way to get the transaction confirmed? and do you think it will confirm now? already 24+ hours passed!

simply wait and continue to rebroadcast it. it's normal for a tx with no fee to take a long time to get confirmed, even with high priority.
768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A lucky gambler wraps up 200 BTC profit at BetKing on: February 21, 2016, 01:13:26 PM
wow congrats.

i think in approximately the last seven days, i have seen reports of at least sum of 1000 bitcoin that has been won by different users on different casinos!!!

shhh. you're going to scare away the investors.

I heard that he had 2000BTC total bankroll? that true?
769  Other / Meta / Re: "Rabinovitch" has been locked for some reason... Please help!.. on: February 21, 2016, 12:12:22 PM
^ that's the message you get when your account gets locked. it does say you're banned, but you are still able to post outside of this thread. a ban message is in red.
770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction not yet confirmed!! on: February 20, 2016, 09:51:14 PM
@calkob op is the recipient.

@OP it will likely get confirmed because of the high priority but it will take some time. or if you're unlucky it will not confirm, the network will forget the tx, and the btc will return to the sender's wallet.
771  Other / Meta / Re: 502 bad gateway. on: February 20, 2016, 05:50:32 PM
many users get the same error. it's been like this since last year.

everyone gets that every now and then. just server issues. sometimes it's happens more frequent.

Its not actually a server issue, but an issue with the network between you and the server. Probably somewhere near the server as many - including me (over different conections) - have the issue.
772  Other / Meta / Re: 502 bad gateway. on: February 20, 2016, 04:55:53 PM
is it that hard to look at the list of the topics? there's another thread about this posted 30 minutes ago. and another old thread about the same thing which have some answers to your question.

It`s not that hard but sometimes possible to not find the related topic if you are busy in some other part of the forum. If you are not willing to be kind, don`t bother to help people, at least my possible future problems.

I wasn't directing that to you. it's possible that you just clicked this topic from the site index. I was talking to OP.
773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help - Transaction not confirmed since yesterday on: February 20, 2016, 04:11:27 PM
You say double the fee? If it can not, because all I had in Bitcoin application I sent to this address.

I'll wait then to see it back.

In this case there know tell me how many days it might take?

Thank you.

--edit

I do not know where you see the transaction has expired, you can tell me?

Thank you.

no I said double spend.

if your tx did not get confirmed within two to three days, the network will "forget" about the tx and the bitcoins will return to your wallet.

and no I didn't see the tx expire. I mean the tx will expire if it does not get confirmed (like I said above).
774  Other / Meta / Re: Frequent Bad gateway errors on: February 20, 2016, 04:00:47 PM
it's just happened for around 10 minutes. now it's fine I think. sure is super annoying when you're trying to post and browse some threads in the same time though.
775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help - Transaction not confirmed since yesterday on: February 20, 2016, 03:56:59 PM
there are two issues with that transaction.
first, the 0.0017 tx fee is fairly low for transaction of this size (15970 bytes).
second, you spent an input from an unconfirmed transaction, and that transaction does not have any fee. the tx you posted will not get confirmed before this one does.

Yes on the rate I imagined that. But for me I checking the box on the side of the amount of Bitcoin he descontaria the appropriate fee for the amount that I was sending.

Now I remembered, I rolled the history here and has a 300K Satoshi uncommitted transaction, I had sent no charge.

In this case, the value sent will come back? Is there anything I can do? What about the commands I said, solve anything?

Thank you friend.

you can wait for the tx to get confirmed or "expired" from the network and return to your wallet. and no those commands won't solve your problem (that's for wiping out non-existent tx). see ranchigo's post below. I did not know that core rebroadcasts tx every 30 minutes, my bad.

or you can try to double spend. but I don't exactly know how to do that.

777  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC to 5000$ soon on: February 20, 2016, 02:59:31 PM
around what time is this "soon" you're talking about? I highly doubt that the price can get anywhere near $5000 this year... it's likely to be unsustainable. maybe next year if all went reaaally well for bitcoin this year.

by the way didn't you also speculated that the price will get to $20k?
778  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Dabs SCAMM ME, SCAMM REPORT on: February 20, 2016, 10:36:31 AM
No, but my buyer sayd that he is from bitcointalk and he is trusted, and i was thinking that he is,

Probably the buyer owned the skype profile you was chatting with. Im sure DABs wont have his dealings directly on skype.

this. if the buyer have a bitcointalk account, tell us. and what is this account you were selling, OP?

edit:
by the way it would be better to edit the OP and use the format Indianacoin posted. if you have more to add.
779  Economy / Speculation / Re: wtf is going on?! on: February 20, 2016, 10:23:23 AM
People are probably reinvesting the profits they made with going short on the ETH value. So they gain even
more Bitcoins. They sold at a high price, bought cheap ETH, sold them when they saw a collaps coming and
now the re-buy Bitcoins at a lower price  Grin

Problem with that non-theory is that people invest into ETH via BTC. People then cash out of ETH, via BTC. If anything, people gonna want to take cash profits from ETH, which means that they cash out through BTC.

or, they can choose to hold btc because it is rising. people don't always dump to fiat.

Yes.....but you miss the point. People coming out of ETH and into BTC, aint gonna make BTC rise against the USD. Folks putting BTC into ETH, already exchanged thier USD for BTC.

ahhh. damn how did I overlook that simple fact?  Undecided it does make sense that btc/eth trades will only affect btc/eth price and not btc/usd. it was so basic, I'm feeling a bit stupid now.
