What about some low diff coins like Asiccoin and convert them into LTC? When BTC/LTC goes back to the rate it had 2 or 3 weeks ago, it's better than nothing.

The AMHash miners have lower fees = more profit. Not a bad choice.
But they usually have a worse efficiency than Gen 1 miners (it's not much, 99,xx%).
Furthermore AMHash is real mining hardware provided by ASIC manufacturers who confirmed that Hashie rented hashrate from them, for Gen 1 there is no proof for real mining activity (as far as I know).

Anders als die letzten Wochen habe ich dieses mal Auszahlung in LTC statt BTC vornehmen lassen. Mein LTC Payout kam am 21.12. um 13 Uhr, die Wochen davon kamen die BTC immer im Laufe des Sonntags an, keine Auszahlung blieb zumindest bei mir aus. Wir reden hier aber über Peanuts im Vergleich zu anderen Kunden.

Dennoch bin ich auch sehr skeptisch. Klar, eine "Hochglanz Website" usw. sagt an sich gar nichts aus, dennoch wirkt das ganze LTCGear System etwas dahingeklascht aus. Die Sache mit dem Support kann ich auch bestätigen. Hatte eine Anfrage per Kontaktformular gestellt und weitere Käufe in Aussicht gestellt. Kundenanfragen beantworten scheint aber kein Anliegen zu sein. Ich bin damit raus aus dem Spiel.

Es stellt sich zudem die Frage, wie er es hinbekommt großzügige Payouts zu generieren, während in Zeiten sinkender LTC Kurse andere Anbieter langsam an die Grenze stoßen.

They didn't disable mine but the hashrate decreased a lot. Try vultr.com, didn't have any problem with them. A link can be found in the tutorial.

When you merge it with another miner, you could sell the newly created miner which includes the free one. As you can't sell the free miner, merging it with others isn't possible.

I didn't mine there for a couple of weeks, so I wasn't aware any current problems. But was long time a great pool and found a lot of blocks.

There's only one other bigger pool I know, multipool.us.
