Tsitsipas vs Murray could be an interesting match. Everybody will cheer for Murray and as it is still early in the tournament, I think he can stand a chance. Tsitsipas is also not so consistent so there might some value on betting on Murray (or a handicap); need to check the odds.
The fight will take place today but I don't agree with you preferring Murray.
I think Tsitsipas will have more advantages and a chance to win because he is a player who is in 5th place, plus he is much younger than Murray.

On clay court Tsitsipas is my favourite and for this tournament he is still one of the favourites.
The winning bet option for Tsitsipas I still think it deserves to win.

I second that. They both surely deserve to win but Tsitsipas is much younger and arguably has more chances (some bookies don't think so). I hope everyone watched the Tsitsipas v Thiem thriller yesterday. That was a great 5 set match so intense wow.

Anyway, some exciting matches to watch today (my bet marked in bold):

Broady v Ruud
Murray v Tsitsipas
Zverev v Brouwer
Rublev v Karatsev
Medvedev v Mannarino
Etcheverry v Wawrinka
Cerundolo v Lehecka

Have fun watching and betting guys!  Cool

All my bets, except for the Ruud one won. I'm happy I didn't place a combo.

Wawrinka is 38 and overweight I don't think he can win Djokovic tonight. The match is already live: Djokovic won the opening set, now 1:0 in the second with an early break.

I just finished watching the whole game, Ruud was superb though but Broady was in a beast mode, he was so caculative and prdictive, his service were on point and he was so precise with his game play, he played to his strength (Being left handed), he forced Ruud to dance to his tune, he tactically brought up a build up play, his service consistency helped him made some point through Ace, he won some games to Nil, in summary, Broady played a mind game against Ruud, he made sure he dictated the play throughout. He was so Superb, i'm predicting him to end up the competition at least as a top 4 player, Broady!!!

yeah, Ruud did't play any match on grass before Wimbledon, and that was easy to spot today, while Broady is grass player, and showed his experience
nevertheless, it is hard to predict where Broady will end-up, he can lose next match

Wawrinka is in third round, nice to see, and we have real pleasure this evening, hopefully not changed to tomorrow, between Tsitsipas and Murray

That doesn't make sense, if he hadn't played any match on grass before Wimbledon. In such scenario he shouldn't have won two sets inbetween, Ruud played really well and he wasn't able to give the best in the deciding set and lost 6-0.

What is going on with Tsitsipas and Andy Murray. Each have won a set and the third set going on. Both the sets have moved to the tie breaker and in the third set Murray is ahead with a break point win. Really surprised as Tsitsipas is struggling and the points were 63-77 77-62 3-2

Play got suspended immediately after Andy won the 3rd set 6:4. Right before the set point Andy slipped and fell. It looked like a real bad injury and he was in a lot of pain. He was holding his groin. Hopefully it's not as bad as it looked and Andy will be able to continue the match.
783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sold the altcoins and invested in Bitcoin" on: July 06, 2023, 09:56:36 PM
I have been involved with Cryptocurrencies for the past almost 1 year. It's only been a few months since I joined the BitcoinTalk forum. I spend most of my time trading which I haven't spent much time on this forum. But I came to the Bitcointalk forum and observed various discussions about Bitcoin investment. Finally after much thought I analyzed Bitcoin and took the advice of a fellow knowledgeable investor. He gave me specific advice on the downsides of Bitcoin and market volatility.
After full consideration I sold all the wallets I had Altcoins invested in. and with the amount of funds I made from that, I bought bitcoins and kept them in the trust wallet.

Now my question is, is it good for my future that I have sold my altcoins and invested in bitcoins?

The trust wallet I put my invested bitcoins in, is the trust wallet safe for my bitcoins?

I assure you it's the best decision you made in your life! Altcoins are called shitcoins for a reason! But I hope you're planning this as a long-term investment, otherwise you may get disappointed or even suffer losses! Think of it as of a 5+ year investment.

Another shocking result, this time from WTA: 16yo Mirra Andreeva knocked out 10th seed, ex World #2 and a Roland Garros champion Barbora Krejcikova 6:3, 4:0. I bet this is not the last time we hear about this teenage sensation during this Wimbledon.  Wink

I'm watching the match between Broady and Ruud. The match is going close as Broady won the first set, followed by two set wins from Ruud. Now again Broady have won the fourth set. Deciding set is going to be a tough fight as both have played well in each and every set as the points were 6-4 3-6 4-6 6-3. Each set have been played 40+ minutes which could've made the players tiresome. Broady is at his best as he had won the break point and leads the deciding set 1-0.

That's a shocking result. ATP #4 is out of Wimbledon. I missed the match but I saw the result: Broady won the 5th set and it was a bagel! Was Ruud that bad in the deciding set? Did he get injured perhaps?

787  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin hash is 380,000,000TH so small miners don't stand a chance on: July 05, 2023, 10:46:24 PM

There's 110TH S19 pro advertised on ebay for $1975. I can afford to buy small mining hardware but it's bad news because I didn't know about hash rates until the present. Those hash rates won't make me wealthy so isn't worth entering cryptocurrency mining. I'll need 34,500 S19 Pro's for 1% of Bitcoin's total hash. It's $51M investment if one costs $1500.

Big quantities of mining hardware run in gigantic farms generating mighty hashes of power. Who's behind the farms. How profitable are they. It isn't fair they're consolidating so much bitcoin for themselves but it's an open market it's business.

Why do you think it's not fair? The big guys are probably mining veterans and spent years mining, they have invested huge money and facing enormous risk due to Bitcoin price volatility, mining gear depreciation, hash rate fluctuations etc. So it's pretty fair: the more you invest, the more risk you take, the more you can possibly earn.
788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies and Financial Crime on: July 05, 2023, 09:47:32 PM
Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies undoubtedly offer new opportunities for financial transactions. However, they can also be used for purposes of financial crime, such as fraud and money laundering. The absence of central control and the pseudonymous nature of transactions make cryptocurrencies appealing for illicit activities.

What do you think can be done to mitigate the risk of cryptocurrencies being used for criminal purposes? What measures should be taken? Huh

It's not Bitcoin's or crypto's fault, fiat is also being used by criminals and on a much larger scale than crypto. There's nothing you can do to prevent it really. I don't think KYC or similar attempts to deanonymize users are necessary as it will likely make many legitimate users stop using it.

My little retarded friend DrBeer is hilarious. He didn't disappoint me this time too!

Oh, hello microbrain carrier Smiley
1. what kind of links do you want? Where russian terrorists write "we booby-trapped the ZPP"? ? It seems about the micro-brain - I am optimistic about your abilities Smiley

Well, if you make a statement you have to provide a source. Otherwise that's not a fact but a speculation. Is it clear?

Quote from: DrBeer
2. About the report and the link - thanks for the laugh. What did you prove with this link? Does it say anywhere that the shelling was done by the AFU?
The Russian Federation is accustomed to creating beautiful shows - they shell themselves, film them, prepare "reporters" in advance, and then tell tales. This has already happened near Donetsk - there are many videos of them simultaneously firing MLRS in two directions - toward the AFU and toward... DONETSK Smiley  It happened many times in Donetsk, when they were shelling from one area of the city to another.

No way, you're definitely retarded! If the Russian troops are INSIDE the powerplant who else can shell it? Imperial stormtroopers?   Grin Grin Grin

If you have such a video do you mind providing a link for all to see? Oh wait, you definitely do! You never provide any proof/sources I'm kinda used to it.  Grin

Quote from: DrBeer
By the way, about the "shelling of the Zaporizhzhia NPP". - there is an excellent video - there a representative of terrorist Russia, showing allegedly shelling from the side of the AFU, ZES, comes up against the question - "and why the traces of arrivals, point to the direction from the side opposite to the location of the AFU?
On what the representative of the terrorist occupation regime, at first stumbles, and then gives the answer "Because the missile, before hitting the object does a turn of 180 degrees, therefore such are the traces"  Grin Grin Grin Grin

I'm not going to search for some video which probably doesn't exist as you saw it in your dream. Please provide the link or not spread this bullshit.  Cool
790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Not your keys, Not your coins" is not enough on: July 04, 2023, 10:05:11 PM
CEX basically means Centralized exchange. So any service for exchanging cryptos that goes through a single point of failure such a website is technically also centralized. Including every website you have listed except for Bisq (that's how Bettercallraul were able to exit scam everyone).

I think you should be going after custodial CEX (that is, using your CEX as a wallet). Because if I make an exchange service without trading features, that only allows you to send crypto to the service which then goes to the bank or wherever the exit is, then there is no liquidity that can be trashcanned for the service to go bust.

Of course, the risk of scams remain as Bettercallraul have already demonstrated - I could simply design a service that collects the deposits without sending it to where it's supposed to go. But that risk is omnipresent for every website you use that accepts payments of some form.

I'll have to disappoint the OP even more: even projects like Bisq are still prone to hacker attacks, phishing, malicious actions by the owners/developers etc. CEX or DEX doesn't matter - you can still lose your funds.
791  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: July 04, 2023, 09:26:44 PM
Tomorrow, or in the next few days, we are likely to witness a new "bloody show" by the Kremlin terrorist regime.
You probably all know that just recently, Russia committed a huge terrorist attack by blowing up the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power plant in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. The consequences of this terrorist act are enormous - from the deaths of a huge number of Ukrainian civilians and economic damage, to environmental catastrophe. Losing the war, the Kremlin terrorist regime decided to commit another act of terrorism on an international scale.
As you know - in the spring of 2022, Russian terrorist troops seized the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. This is one of the largest nuclear power plants in Europe. Since May 2023, on the territory of ZNPP, not hiding much from the public, terrorists began to deliver explosives and to mine the ZNPP itself and the spent nuclear fuel storage facilities. At first, there were attempts at direct pressure on the international community, threats of "we cannot guarantee safety, stop helping Ukraine, otherwise anything can happen at ZNPP.

This attempt failed. The Kremlin decided to go "va-bank" and put on a show - Ukrainian troops shelling the Russian nuclear power plant with American weapons. So far, there is no exact data on how "qualitatively" the ZNPP is mined, but at least there is confirmed data on the mining of general purpose buildings and the waste storage facility. In order to fully blow up a nuclear power plant it is necessary to hit it either with extremely powerful means (at the level of a nuclear strike) or to carry out an INTENSE massive bombing of all buildings, including reactors. This is conditioned by the fact that all NPPs are built with an enormous safety margin and are designed for possible negative developments, including terrorist attacks and nuclear war. This was laid during the Soviet times, by the way, as well as the hydropower plant, which confirms that the hydropower plant was undermined from the inside by deep and massive mines by terrorist invaders, because such structures can withstand an ordinary missile strike.

Considering the winds in the next few days, in case of an explosion and formation of a cloud of radioactive dust, the southern regions of Ukraine, including the temporarily occupied territories, the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as the Krasnodar and Rostov regions of Russia itself will suffer. But the Kremlin maniac doesn't care about his citizens, he needs to try to intimidate the world...
We are watching the development of the situation...

PS I hope everyone understands that the Kremlin regime has no right to exist, and there can be no negotiations or agreements with such terrorists.

Firstly, you're missing source for this news yet again. Otherwise than that, what could be the reason to blow up the powerplant? It's being controlled by the Russians and there are cities occupied by the Russians not far away from it. Ukrainians have been shelling the powerplant for almost a year putting everyone around it at risk:

Quote
On 3 September 2022 an IAEA delegation visited the plant and on 6 September 2022 a report was published documenting damage and potential threats to plant security caused by external shelling and the presence of occupying troops in the plant.

792  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do when you have Financial Freedom? on: July 04, 2023, 08:38:03 PM
Economic discussions related to inflation, recession, food crisis, labor crisis, agricultural crisis, war crisis are enough to make our heads hot and we need a little relaxation in this discussion.

so let me bring this discussion a little to one thing that will be fun to discuss and talk about. That is about Financial Freedom.

Well I'm not going to ask whether you already have financial freedom or not. But I'm here to bring our minds to try to imagine ourselves when one day we succeed in achieving Financial Freedom.

Consider yourself already have financial freedom at this time. That is, you already have passive income that continues to flow into your account and into your wallet without the hassle of managing your business. because your business and all your companies are managed by someone you trust to manage it. So you just need to sit back or take a vacation every day while enjoying the flow of money that continues to enter your pocket.

Now my question in such a situation is when you already have financial freedom. then what are you going to do to enjoy your life and enjoy that financial freedom?

---------------
Edited:
I haven't been active in the forums in a few days and was quite surprised that a thread I had created had 6 pages to load. i love to see this thread grow. and I'm glad everyone started pouring out their thoughts regarding their desires when they achieve financial freedom.

Sometimes we have to think about the beauty that we can feel when we one day get the welfare of life, such as having financial freedom. And actually by recalling what we will do in the future when we become successful, it will actually stimulate our spirits and minds to become more active and more enthusiastic to be able to reach our goals more quickly. and this is actually the point of this thread.

Remembering the ultimate goal can trigger a strong desire within us which can make our productivity increase as well.

I'm not sure what I will be doing (probably Lambos, hookers and blow) but I can tell you that you wouldn't want to miscalculate your earnings you'll need for a complete financial freedom for life. Because otherwise you'll have to return to your 9 to 5 or managing your business at some point. You also need to be very cautious with leaving your company in somebody's else hands. There are lots of horror stories of managers (even friends and family) stealing from owners and ruining their business eventually.
793  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whats your thought on: July 04, 2023, 07:23:36 PM
I'm curious about the recent pump in Bitcoin's price. What are your thoughts on the factors that contributed to this surge? Do you believe it was primarily driven by positive news, investor speculation, increased mainstream awareness, or a combination of these factors? How do you think this pump will impact the overall cryptocurrency market? Looking forward to hearing your insights and opinions!"

If you take a look at the historical charts of Bitcoin's previous cycles you'll see similar price action right before the halving year. The price goes sideways, then rises a bit during summer and goes back down in September-October, only to rise again next year right before halving. So, nothing extraordinary and I doubt it was caused by some positive news or similar factors. Just my 2c.

Sofia Kenin winning Coco Gauff came as a surprise in this American derby. I was pretty sure Coco was going to win but I didn't place a bet for some reason. Boy was I lucky! Kenin won this in three sets 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.

ATP was pretty predictable today, just want to point out Michael Mmoh defeating Felix Auger Alliasime, British wildcard Choinski winning Dusan Lajovic, Schwartzman finally advances to second round by winning Kecmanovic, Swiss vet Wawrinka breezing past Ruusuvuori in three. Also Radu Albot leading Shapovalov 7:5 after the first set is quite unexpected (match suspended).
795  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: July 03, 2023, 08:17:36 PM
There was a certain bafflement with the mouthpieces specially in UK that I was monitoring with rushed propaganda that they were producing every second. It went from changing the terminology they used for Wagner group from "terrorist" to "freedom fighters" to crazy fake news they reported from the usual "unnamed reliable sources" about how Russian government has fallen and Putin has fled the country because Moscow is occupied by the Wagner group!!!
Did any media said that Wagner Group people were freedom fighters? Cause I haven't heard that but I heard that they were happy because there was an inner escalation in Russia between two powerful people, Prigozhin and Putin.
If anyone was really thinking that Prigozhin and his group Wagner are freedom fighters, then that person is seriously dumb and lacks critical thinking. To be honest, it will be far more dangerous if we see Prigozhin instead of Putin. By the way, it's still a mystery, what actually happened and why. Prigozhin and Putin make a deal, then day(s) after the pentagon states 6.2 billion missing in an accounting error.

Such a high level of confusion with rushed propaganda where their contents are all over the place and even contradicting each other at times, is very rare in Western Propaganda agencies which are the leaders of brainwashing techniques.
Historically speaking such a situation only happens when they are too desperate and all their previous plans have failed (clear from the increasing number of anti-NATO protests across Europe) so they have to go back to old schemes they've already tried in the past or in other countries.
There is no one as successful in Brainwashing as Russia is and has been since the existence of Soviet Union. C'mon, they have a Lenin's Mausoleum, people still pray for Stalin and wish him to be alive despite the fact that Stalin brutally killed their father or mother or siblings for no reason.

To be honest, one can't really understand what is right and what is wrong via media. The best way to understand is to be in that area in that moment, otherwise you don't really know what happened. Not even reading of news from tons of different media is going to help you in this case.
Regarding PMC "Wagner", in fact, this is actually a structural military unit of Russia. It was created to conduct military operations on the territory of foreign states, when it was necessary to hide its belonging to Russia as a state. The sign of a private military formation was best suited for this. But recently, Putin was forced to admit that only from May 2022 to May 2023, 86 billion rubles were allocated from the budget for the maintenance of members of the Wagner PMC and incentive payments and another 110 billion rubles for insurance payments.

Source :
https://www.dw.com/ru/putin-priznal-sponsirovanie-cvk-vagner-gosudarstvom/a-66046461#:~:

In Russia under Putin, everything is usually built on lies, and lies cannot be hidden for long, because the situation is constantly changing.

I'm not sure what is so surprising about this fact. In case you didn't know Wagner is a private military company or mercenaries. And guess what? You have to pay mercenaries in order to hire them! Imagine that? So why you call it lies? It was clear since day 1 Putin was paying them.

It is Eubanks to win the Mallorca Open final against Mannarino 6-1 6-4 in direct sets. Both the players were on the same scale of performance as well as had closer odds before the start of the match. This is the first time Eubanks have reached the finals and he have won it easily. With the winning power Eubanks is to play against Brazil player Monteiro in the Wimbledon.

Eubanks won pretty easy, and in straight sets, he was not favored by bookies, but brought me some money
grass is diffficult to play, and Mannarino is clay player, so I was surprised to see him finals, and having @2.3 on his opponent that showed good performance was a right choice

Cerundolo won as well, but I didn't have the courage to put him on my parlay

congrats to both of them

Good pick casperBGD to go with Eubanks instead of what myself and Joca97 did and
back the experience of Mannarino.

That was a massive win by Eubanks 6-1, 6-4 in just over 1 hour. This was his first
ATP final appearance and his first ATP title - well done to him.

He is back in action on Tuesday at Wimbledon against Monteiro - he will be full of confidence,
lets hope he isnt complacent and can keep his focus.

What surprises me to some extent is great performance by the US players on grass. Eubanks wins Mallorca (on grass), Tommy Paul reaches Eastbourne final (on grass), Madison Keys wins the Eastbourne WTA title (guess the surface  Grin ) Is it some kind of a new trend and Wimbledon will be won by a US player this year?  Grin
797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who Buys Bitcoin When The Price is 100k$? on: July 02, 2023, 03:28:48 PM
When you buy Bitcoin hen the price is 100k$ then how much will you sell it back to make profit because at that time the price of Bitcoin might not exceed 100k$ and if the price didn't not exceed that amount you will become a loser in the business so how does the vendors do at that time?
Or you buy at that time and thinking that it will go up to 200k$ but ironically, the price come below 100k$. What will be you faith/fate. Many companies stopped function last year because they accumulated a lot of Bitcoin when the price was high and they were thinking that the price would go up for them to sell them off and make their profit from there but instead the price of Bitcoin drastically come down very well. So the companies  enter bankruptcy and folded. So exchange are trying to avoid such mistakes, so that they can run a long journey.

Will the price pass 100k$ next year 2024 for buys to make their gain?

In short: yes. 2024 or 2025 but it will surpass 100k. Bitcoin can't be stopped and it's deflationary by design. And the time you'll have to wait for the gains depends on when you buy: on the way up during this cycle (until end of 2025 or earlier) or on the way down next cycle (2026-2029)? If you'll buy on the way down you'll have to wait at least 3 years to at least break even.

So far the 16 year old has demolished the Spaniard Rosa Vicens Mas 6:3, 6:1 and then annihilated Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet 6:1,6:2. Tomorrow she's going to meet Tamara Korpatsch and I think I know the outcome.  Grin I can't wait to see this new tennis starlet play main draw tournament at Wimbledon.
