781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining Giant Bitmain Posts $500 Million Loss in IPO Financial Filing on: February 20, 2019, 11:18:06 AM
For so gigant companies 500 millions is really little money, they even dont care about this lose, I think.

Every company is concerned with loss and bitmain should be no exception.
Their BCH drama hit themselves as well as the price of BTC and hashrate of BTC. It will be interesting to see how their power efficient new asic miner will turn the game for them as well as btc price.
782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Netflix to make a documentary about the altcoin side of crypto on: February 20, 2019, 10:51:42 AM
Documentary sounds quite boring to me. What about starting a sitcom like "How I met my Bitcoins".
This can be educational and comedic in nature, telling about risk ,scams and the precaution they need to take when they are dealing with crypto.
783  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price will not go above $4,000 on: February 20, 2019, 10:44:04 AM
Today Gold is stable around $1,350 per ounce ... but Gold is a scarce resource, a physical one ...

Might be you find one more goldmine or get gold in the treasure hunt. How you determined it as a scarce resource? We have no idea of definite supply of the gold.
You look pessimist in btc price but btc is not all about the price only.

I agree, but BTC will increase very strongly by the end of 2020. Maybe btc will increase to $ 100,000

Here comes over optimistic.
784  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will Coinbase Partner Google In The Future? on: February 20, 2019, 10:36:26 AM
I am very skeptical of partnership between google and coinbase because big companies like google/facebook like  to buy the companies instead of doing JV's with them. Alternatively Google might come up with their own services as they have massive user base and technical expertise.
785  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best Way for Bargain Hunting in the Bear Market! on: February 20, 2019, 10:31:38 AM
my best advice is to engage in a business that will bring profit for you in cryptocurrency. Even your profit is less but due to bear market you will get the good amount of crytocurrency.

PS: I see you are creating a new post for each reply, multiposting is against the forum rule and you can reply everyone in a single post.
786  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ★Keep your role on Default Trust(DT) selection★ on: February 20, 2019, 01:23:08 AM
@OP
Do 250 Merit vote also allocated in Random fashion? If you have added 15 people and having 250 plus earned merit then will it be random for 1 of 15 to get that vote?
Not following this DT topic now so now idea if Theymos added some more points after one week of inception.
787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question About Golden Visa - Invest with BTC on: February 19, 2019, 06:09:58 PM
I am sorry I just can't understand! For those who say that the country must accept Bitcoin as a way of investing, can't we just make the deal with Bitcoin as a side deal and on paper, it can be the local currency of the country we want to invest in? For example, if I buy land in the USA from someone who is willing to accept Bitcoin we can just agree on the price of Bitcoin in term of $ and I pay him Bitcoin and on papers, we put $$ that is an easy workaround if you really want to pay with Bitcoin.

Though I an not actually aware how exactly it works but I do not think you can take liberty of doing payment in bitcoin and putting native currency in documents. In reality, it might be considered as document forging, giving wrong information to the government and might be considered as criminal offence.
788  Other / Meta / Re: This Is NOT A New Problem... A Walk Down Memory Lane on: February 19, 2019, 04:27:28 PM
Though I agree with Quickseller point but I do not agree with statement that add only those people who have some kind of business interest.  There is no guarantee that these people with "business interest" will not misuse the system for their own gain. DT issue still remain the same but only faces will change.
789  Other / Meta / Re: This is not fair, moderator deleted my post. on: February 19, 2019, 03:23:44 PM
Thank you all for clearing me. This was my first experience with deleted post never knew it is a regular occurrence that why i wrote this. About the other issue, i am not a programmer, miner or some tech guru to making those post you see as quality, am still new.

I guess you misunderstood that user post getting deleted is a regular occurrence. Generally user do not make hue and cry on deleted post but for "rule" following user , the post are rarely deleted. ( For example, my 2 bumps we're deleted, even they were month apart, but I did not deleted my month old bump before bumping again.)
I see, you are not a native English speaker, some of your sentences do not convey intended meaning and there are spelling mistakes too so it is high chances that your post in English will be marked as low quality and might be deleted.
I will suggest you to reread your sentences before posting and you can join https://fittotalk.com to improve your English.

791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many BTC Satoshi Nakamoto own? on: February 18, 2019, 03:25:45 PM
Just wondering why people are thinking of Satoshi Nakamoto bitcoins (might be lost , might be dead).
The biggest bitcoin holder is FBI and guess what will happen when FBI will dump 1.44 million bitcoins.
792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese New Year - Billions Of Digital Cash Gifts - How much was Bitcoin? on: February 18, 2019, 03:08:09 PM

This thread actually tie into a previous thread that I created, where I was asking people to create a killer app for Bitcoin to increase adoption. We only need a fraction of that 46.6 billion gifts to be done with Bitcoin and we will see a massive increase in the price.  Wink

We need a Bitcoin version of ‘CryptoKittens’ and the tx's it generates, to take us to the Moon.  Wink

But these 46.6 billion is worth anything? I did not see any price associated with it.  I learnt a few days agao that Chinese New year is a very big festival there and giving red envelope is tradition.

PS: On side note, Can we infer on Average a chinese person communicate with 33 person.
793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Initiative Q be the New Bitcoin? on: February 18, 2019, 02:33:51 PM

In just four months, the 'payment system of the future' has built a network of nearly three million adopters by offering ever-decreasing sums of their future currency in exchange for an e-mail address."

I doubt out of these three million address, actual users might be much less. It is free to create email and many people certainly abused it.
Secondly, generating free cash by just giving email address will not help anybody.
794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & Cryptocurrency Security Cheat Sheet on: February 18, 2019, 02:16:51 PM
DO:
Make sure , your loved one's  will get that bitcoin in case of your accidental death. This can be achieved by activating a dead man's switch or giving the location where you hid your private keys information that can be accessed in case of your death only.
795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Visa and Mastercard decided to increase their Fees. And there is nothing y can do on: February 18, 2019, 02:08:33 PM

As you can see the wall street journal (WSJ) said.
Quote
Up to 2.5 percent of prices for goods and services go to cover card fees

If 2.5% percent of  goods prices go to cover the card fees then why these companies do not give discount on cash payment. Bitcoin can be good option as a payment but only problem I see which user in the store (or not in the store) will be entrusted with the private key by these corporations?
796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A world of opportunities for freelancers on: February 18, 2019, 02:00:49 PM
The problem is legislation issues in few countries and still we derive the value of BTC from fiat so I guess developer like to take fiat in preference instead pf taking BTC then taking hassle to convert it into fiat.

798  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any great p2p lending sites? on: February 18, 2019, 12:18:59 PM
The lending section on here is a fucking joke so forget about that too.

How collateral based lending(120 % of principal) for short duration is joke in this forum?

The only vaguely safe way to get a return on your crypto is to add to a casino bank roll or lend out on exchanges for leverage trading. Those are very risky too but an order of magnitude less hopeless.

I think these are also  great option but still I like the first one because in this option , "Luck" will also play the part.
