So many newbie accounts come on here posting like crazy "up", "down"...etc then disappear soon thereafter.

Playing these intraday/intraweek price moves is too much work.

Would prefer to read this thread and be entertained by others hopping up and down trying to get a market reaction to their post, FUD, links, etc.

Haha Cheesy when people start fighting like this when they dont have decent arguments Smiley

Show us the "many newbie" accounts please. Name them. I cant see them. Oh im so happy that i set some people up here Cheesy the most funny thing is, that most of you think
"Uh he says so, then he must do opposite for sure and than i should do X" and all this makes me just more rich cause all the facts i presents make me doing the right decisions and you do the wrong cause it must be FUD hehe Smiley

For proof of my claim feel free to peruse the 1160+ pages to find all the newbie accounts that have come and gone.

You are obviously new here... Please dance more so I can be entertained.  Kiss
782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holy Guadalupe ... XMR out traded ETH on: October 02, 2016, 10:39:51 PM
It has become clear the big three cryptocurrencies are BTC/ETH/XMR who will join them next? Keep an eye out lads.

don't rule out LTC

likely the best to join THE FOUR
*which would be THE top 5 BTC, ETH, XMR, LTC, XRP

Poloniex is XMR and XMR is Poloniex. The reality is XMR would be nothing without Poloniex.

I am willing to have a debate regarding the above.

Hi Newbie,

XMR existed before poloniex, so your logic fails big time.

Monero market cap falls below 100M. Where's the dev?

Don't worry the dev will get on it soon to raise the marketcap.

He needs to write some code to accomplish this.

@smoothie
Low volume in selling? What is low volume for you please?

ps. why everyone starts to fight about changing oppionions. In this market its totally common that things are changing and so the POV.

If Amazon tomorrow announces to implement XMR i change again to buy btw. Wink

But still i wonder what happens if the last support above 100 breaks

pps. i still claim that XMR has a good future due to ransomware demands. But as i said this effect takes more than 6 month.

@starmman

Im curious if the BTC run is related to the US election or to the news about deutsche bank and some concerns about a new FC..you know more?

High volume ^                                                               Low volume ^

I think it's pretty self-explanatory, very clear....

Concerning your flip flopping on your perspective, it is very short term from what I gather if you are bullish one hour then 6 hours later you are bearish.

Bigger picture....
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 01, 2016, 10:03:32 PM
The last support is at 113 to 110. When this breaks I can imagine an (more) incredible crash. I mean there is just no more buy power than  Shocked (except the ones who are watching and didnt place an order, but why should they join a sinking ship)

What you may have missed is the unusually low volume of selling on the way down since the top.

When comparing to the volume of the price rise.
787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: October 01, 2016, 10:02:23 PM
i told you...XMR crash continues....

you've also said many other things contrary.

It appears you are up and down by the hour/day on this thread.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 30, 2016, 08:03:00 PM
My prediction is that zcash price will initially dump (as do most super-hyped cryptos out of the gate).

My strategy would be to wait for the dump, buy your stash, then when the inevitable pump comes sell the profits for XMR.

Timeframe for this is likely a 2-8 months time span, at least.
789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin looks very attractive right now. Chikun about to moon? on: September 30, 2016, 08:38:58 AM
Any source/ announcement that Coinbase will support this coin?
Would be great news.
I've picked up a couple coins and would love to invest more.
I think I missed out on making money off Ethereum and would love to make a bit of profit here.

So you are buying it purely for profit?

I wouldn't agree that to be the best reason to buy a crypto coin. But then again speculators gonna speculate.

boom!  ANACS graded set #5 in a cheap but nice cherry box.  Grin

Am I the first? Cheesy

Super nice grading you got on those.

Very curious what others who may be grading their coins are getting from ANACS.

Hello guys, I am new in this forum however I was watching this thread for almost 2 months now, bought some XMR and bagholding it...
My question is if there would be any point in setting up a XMR ATM, like a lot of people already did with bitcoin. And of course make some small profit out of fees.
I am interested about your opinion, or is it even possible with the lack of GUI?

GUI = Graphic User Interface (however I would prefer General User Interface).
It basically means transacting of Monero is made sexier. GUI is beneficial when you want to attract ordinary people who are not super tech savy (obviously somewhat savyness is needed in order to use crypto). Sure Monero has flashy webwallet but some people might not feel comfortable storing their money in third part wallet..
What I am waiting for is Monero Trezor, a wallet that has a hardware which is needed in order to send coins or to log in your wallet.

I think one topic to speculate should be: will there ever be official GUI for XMR?

"General" to me is too general. Who determines what "general" actually is?

That is why it was coined as "Graphical" in computer science to be explicitly clear that there are graphics involved.

Generality can be assume to be CLI as well, depends on who you are.

What makes you so sure that ETH has this one and only purpose?

Please stop trolling around and read properly. https://www.ethereum.org

Back to important things:

LOAN OFFERSTotal: 369280.53237829 XMR (20th Sept.)
.....
LOAN OFFERSTotal: 206596.35664249 XMR (27th Setp.)
LOAN OFFERSTotal: 230399.83850490 XMR (today)

So there is a lot room to go up to at least 190+ soon when the shorters close their positions.

This doesn't account for people who just removed their coins from lending ^

Hard to use these numbers as anything indicative of current open shorts.

796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [2016-09-23] Litecoin Core Development Update on: September 26, 2016, 08:30:37 AM
DOGE is still breathing because of its enormous community and it is a living proof that cryptocurrencies does not need gimmicks to succeed. Only a troll can say that Litecoin is feeling threatened by some other coin/asset/token. Even if LTC completely dies, it will still be one of the best, because for one simple reason - it distances itself from the "tech race" and focuses on adoption. If Litecoin dies it would not be, because it was "not developed" (from the tech side), it will be because of the people's hypocrisy.

EDIT:

I'm skeptical that adding CT will have adverse affects to LTC on a socioeconomic level.

CT is only part of the solution to privacy/anonymity.

Let's face it, the recent effect in anonymous coins is mostly because of hype (or over expectations). I do agree that it would not really affect LTC's price (unless certain groups decide something else). Bad thing is that in the past 2 years cryptocurrencies are restraining from adoption more and more. We have a new "gimmicks race", which probably leads to nowhere.

I do agree that in altcoins there is always has an ongoing "gimmick race" coming from most of them. But there is another way of looking at the situation. Without participating in the gimmicks race and pushing the development team into improving their respective coin projects then they might be left behind by their competitors. I believe if litecoin does nothing then it would be threatened to become a forgotten coin and die slowly. I know litecoin is still in a good position even if they do not participate in the gimmicks race but they might be in a better one if they do.

It may die, because people are for the "coin of the day" and cares about their $5 profits. I've said that more times than a 60-year old priest said "Amen".

Doge is not mostly dead because it was merge mined to litecoin. Hardly a "community" backing it if it needed litecoin miners to bail it out.

798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 25, 2016, 07:44:25 PM
There is optional publicity which enables also "honest" trading (trading that has been taxed). Monero is very much like cash - cash can be anonymous if it is not tracked but it can be public if it is tracked. So far governements have not forbidden using cash... I see the future of Monero very similar and I hope Monero is not too much associated with criminal activities because that is the very thing which might cause some misunderstandings among the regulators and thus they might want to ban Monero with no sufficient information.

Do you want to engage the shrinking fascist economy, or the growing one (black/dark markets)?  People need to get their brainwashed heads out of their **** and realize that 'illegal' and 'criminal' has no bearing on anything good or bad, merely that some folks with guns don't like it because they don't get a cut or it undermines their politics.  PC and law abiding is, in general, an indication of a complete lack of the ability to think.  Of course, one must play along to a sufficient degree in order to avoid being singled out.  Still, it makes me a little sick to see people toe the line so readily.  Social media is a breeder of sheep.
/tangent

I saw a show where a guy was let off of attempted murder charges because he showed up to his supposed target and chickened out at the last minute. They made a bargain to get him to share information in exchange for immunity.

So no jail time, yet people who possess Marijuana get jail time.

Ridiculous.

"Unlawful" does not mean "just".

The system is rigged and so are the large markets outside of crypto.
799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [2016-09-23] Litecoin Core Development Update on: September 25, 2016, 07:37:14 AM
Nice to hear that LTC development is active. With all the hype right now about anonymity this is a good call for litecoin.

I'm skeptical that adding CT will have adverse affects to LTC on a socioeconomic level.

CT is only part of the solution to privacy/anonymity.
