Not sure why so many users are having windows problems. It took my less then an hour to set mine up and I just recently put cgwatcher on their as well. For those of you with windows problems this is what I did.

Step 1. Download cgminer from offical site, I personally used 3.11 as 3.12 was giving me problems.
Step 2. Connect babyjet device and download zadig from cgminer site. This step was key for me, download from the official zadig site didn't work.
Step 3. Install winusb driver on m1 module.(may take a while)
Step 3. Run cgminer and it should work right away.
782  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast BabyJet users thread on: February 03, 2014, 10:42:26 PM
My PC cgminer crashes all the time on 3.11. I've never tried 3.12 on the PC. The longest I've ever had 3.11 working successfully is 7 hours - then it just quits (no error to diagnose).

The only stable platform so far is 3.09.0h2 on the RPI.

Is there a way to overclock the cgminer on the RPI? My cores are all now running at between 56C and 66C. Seems like a waste.

I dunno what to say.  I've got two pretty different BJs, arrived at different times, different "rev" stickers on the boards, and 3.11 works for me.

Cables or controllers?  Are you doing other stuff on the PC?  (Mine only controls BJs, plus a little Litecoin mining on the GPU.)

My experiments suggest you want the cores warmer, whether or not you overclock.  Mine seems to mine a little faster around 70c.

Direct USB cable from PC to the BabyJet. Also only a little litecoin mining on the GPU. I also tried without anything else on the PC.

How do I get the cores warmer without overclocking? Space heater? Smiley

I will say windows is working great for me as well. I got an old pc running my hashfast and BFL hardware.

yes, thats right I was lucky enough to pick the 2 best companies Wink

@HF Engineer, Can the unit itself get software updates that make it faster. I am simply asking as right now like i said im running windows but if new builds that improve the speed come out id much rather switch to the RPI to update the unit.
Also will you eventually provide a way for windows users to update their unit?
783  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast BabyJet users thread on: February 03, 2014, 12:15:18 PM
So do we have any reports of stable overclocking above around 610?

I can use 610 comfortably, although I'm out of town for a few days and turned 'down' to 600 while I'm away, for a little bigger margin of comfort.

ckolivas says 612.

When I tried to bump up to 620, my error rate went up and it wasn't looking good.  I backed down without trying very hard, though, not eager for the down time or to break anything.

How do you use 600 or 612, what does you mean. Did you  compile the cgminer inside raspberry.

he is talking about increasing the clock rate.
784  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast BabyJet users thread on: February 02, 2014, 06:09:46 PM
Someone on here reported trying 670 and said it was working great only to amend it later saying that 670 was way to high.

thats to bad. Would really like to see someone who's warrenty is gone try to overclock it and see what they can get.

Fyi hashfast did promise that we would be able to overclock it to 500

Promises and reality aren't always the same.

agreed, ill add it to the list of lies.

I would like tosee someone clock it up tho to like 1ghz. I mean some of the other chips are running that fast. Worst case is it overheats and from what I have heard so far overdog or what ever will turn the unit off so it cant break itself

Does anyone else get spurts on the unit where it jumps to like 800? By jump to 800 I mean its not the doubling effect it starts at 400 and ill see it go 500 then 600 and 700 and then touch 800

Yip. Just saw mine at 1.3TB in fact. I figured it's just lucky streaks, because I also see 200gh/s every now and again. It's the average that counts.

yes its the average. So anyone do any Overclocking and get good results. Most people seem to be doing 600ish and getting a stable 420-340ghash.

Has anyone tried to extreme overclock it like 900 and see what they can get?

Anyone have a good overclocking speed working for them?

Also is anyone running their BJ on windows and knows how to get the temp of all 4 dies to show

Thanks for the help so far, could use one or two more testers!

would like to help you testing
Obfuscated Name   0dfd19ac

can you also do email notification?

feel free to pm me

Thanks I sent you a PM, also I added email alerts now. I think the system is ready for anyone to test now.

http://bitmonitor.usr.io

You can get alerts for hash issues, hash recovery, block finds, system will auto payout your coins owed at the levels you define and also alert. All alerts via SMS and/or email, SMS to all countries supported. Could also just be used for auto payout of coins with no alerts if you like. Let me know of issues and I will fix I am unsure on the block alerts, it works in my mind, but need some block finds to actually test it.

I really think you should just add free email and sms.

Email is easy to do, for sms most places you can do phone number@cell phone provider

From the looks of it they are using hashfast pictures on the site as they have a picture of a hashfast module in their test mining rig
797  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 29, 2014, 02:35:42 AM
Just wanted to make the thread I got my unit up and running. I got it today blind and rushed home to set it up.

Unit is hashing 427ghash with no overclocking. Also I hooked it up to a windows pc rather then the included rasp pi
798  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 27, 2014, 12:17:12 AM
Bear in mind that if you upgrade cgminer, the hashrate will appears slightly lower because the earlier code overestimated due to counting all hashes and now the code only counts hashes based on valid share return. There is a slight loss of hashes within the silicon.

Also I have further information that up to 90 degrees is safe so if you are struggling to keep it under 85 with the overclocking and cgminer's throttling is kicking in regularly, you can kick the overheat temp up to 90. I will be changing the default to that in the next version. The device internally sheds cores transiently anyway if it thinks it's overheating, and trips a thermal overload flag should all fail which makes cgminer shut it down so there are countless ways the device is protected.
Cool, now if only it did the stuff that was promised Wink

The device will increase/decrease its speed if it is cold/hot enough...... Havent seen one unit at 500ghash without manual overclocking
We will refund you if we getting cheaper shipping..... havent seen anyone get refunded yet

Personally I'm starting to think they may be worse then BFL, at least BFL will post updates, they waited 25days to post an update......
They even just outright lied.

I dont get it in your other thread your price was 10btc so now you raise it 2.5btc
800  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 25, 2014, 03:48:56 PM
Just for those who dont check their site, they now updated it and redid it. It would benice if they would show us the progress of their mass shipping in the order chain.

According to their site they only get 427ghash not the 500 or were bragging about before
