I do not gamble to much but it always seems that when I do, I take the loss big time. For example, I have lost over 3 BTC in the BustaBit game online. It is fun and I like to play but I always get greedy with it. I have won about 2.2 BTC back, but I lost more than what I have won. For some odd reason, I keep coming back over and over. I do not know why I do it, why do you?
Like others told, gambling is so addictive. Maybe you're in addiction stage that's why keep coming back. And one of the reason is you build a friendship in there. Then, you also experienced winning.  In me, the good thing is even I experienced a big loss but I'm still in profit. I do always practice my self to control how much money do I need to play. And now, I never do a deposit again  Maybe you should try it, hunting using free money/faucet. Faucet is my reason why I'm still coming back. It is not addiction in my opinion it is rather a lack of control over oneself. We should implement a goal and plan on how much we have to wager then exercise. Aside from that I agree that we should always limit ourselves on how much deposit we will put to our bankroll. Gambling is attractive but we should keep ourselves under our control so that we won't get addicted to it. Its still addiction since if you have this you cant already control yourself which means they are just related at all. Limiting your bankroll and setting a certain goal would really be ideal anytime we do play gambling but in reality most gamblers do really fail on this stuff which it ends up they are still playing and deposit even more when they are already losing. If we dont like of getting poor on gambling then better to limit ourselves. |

It's easy to say that you want to quit gambling, but in reality it's very hard to resist it once addicted to it. If you really want to quit, then enroll yourself into a rehab center. I think it's the best way since Rehab center has a program that tackles solely for gambling addicts. Yes, It would be so difficult for how many months and/or years. But, do set a goal for yourself. The program won't work unless you help yourself. Also, the best thing you could do is to about your future and your family *if you have family and kids*. This could be your inspiration to prevent you in going to casino, bet online and etc.
When the addiction is really out of control, rehabilitation is really the last resort. when you are not that addicted, you can do some diversions by making yourself busy on something that is more productive like hiking, doing outdoor activities, or working on an online project that has the potential of earnings. i aggree on this,people suffering from this kind of addiction should seek a professional help. but managing it alone? i think is not the best thing to do.addiction to gambling is like forming a new routine and later become a habit.a kind of habit that really difficult to overcome. You cannot manage it alone because you are addicted because of your wrong decision. Being addicted is like having a disease and it cannot be cured with any medicine because it has already deepen in our system and the only thing that can take it out is us alone but we do no have that will to do it if no one will inspire us to do so. Help from other person isnt really necessary at all since we can able to quit gambling without the help of others but most of gamblers do really fail on this thing which they do still end up on playing gambling which if you are in these situation then seeking help on other person isnt really bad at all because you would able to try if this method do help you or not. |

Its time to quit when you are losing money and its becoming a burden for someone. Some say its for fun, but you are not going to enjoy it if you are not winning. So better quit if you can and not lose more money in the end. I'm not a addicted one, but from time to time my urge to play was there. But when I'm getting a losing streak I immediately quit and withdraw my money immediately.
So basically mostly won't survive to keep sticking to the plan right? When you think you will secure your winning funds as you have a plan to withdraw it immediately but the reality is so different. You will never stop playing and leave the game unless you lost the whole bankroll isn't it? This is the common thing on which do gamblers do experience or would really do on which they wont stop until they wont spend the last cent that they do have on playing gambling. No one, of course! Not even bitstamp which has a so high rating. Better to keep money on exchanges just for short-term trading and then withdraw all the money to our personal wallets. This is the thing i dont really trust exchanges on which i do really have doubts anytime regarding on their service and we didnt even know whats behind them and now BTC-e owners have been uncovered and now im really shocked that they are connected on Mt. Besides the basic that all users like, freerolls, good tournaments with added money, satellites to access those big tournaments, some rakeback, etc etc. I really think that a good interface is very important. I went to store to buy a toy for my kid and I was surprised to see this "toy"  What surprised me was that "+8" sign. While gambling is not allowed for persons under 18, toys like this are pretty much allowed. In my honest opinion that sign should be "+18" and no one should be allowed to sell this to kids. I mean, seriously? Would you buy this for your kid? This is just an error for sure instead of putting 18+ they putted 8+ which is really an inappropriate thing for our kids and we should really not buy these kind of toys because this will mold them to be a gambler at earliest age for sure.I dont know why these kind of thing have been legalized without thinking on what would be the possible effects on young minds. |

We view gambling as a way to earn easy money, which is wrong.I believe that the main purpose of gambling is for entertainment, money comes second. But, as human I think that being greedy has been a part of our personality. Which made gambling bad. There are some people who are having a problem with that because in the first place they gamble even if they cannot afford this kind of entertainment. Because of their frustration to make easy money they lose control and able to spend their hard earned money even at the point that it is not already intended in gambling. yes i agree on you.but for me on my own way of understanding.i think being a gamler is not a sin.as long as you dont hurt anybody.it can only be a sin if you are doing bad things to fullfill your gambling habbit. Martingale is such a stupid strategy, the guy who invented this strategy is obiviously an idiot. Big bankroll can't stand if you faced 20-30 red streaks, which is easy to meet.
Seems that you have very bad experience using martingale till you said the inventor is an idiot. I would even say that that the idiot is the one who use martingale because he believe that the strategy will give them nice profit. The reason why i gamble is for fun, when i get bored and stress i go to gamble because it release stress, when i gamble i feel relax and contented even if i lose, it gives you the time to relax and enjoy a game. Because gambling is for fun and entertainment. Many people gamble because they want to escape form their problems to relieves boredom. Most of gambler are not much concern in profit but having fun.
I gamble for fun because of that kind of reason as well and it is very stressful to gamble only for profit. Some people always want to gamble for profit because for them to get profit and to have some stress is some kinda interesting stuff but for me it is not important because what important is that I am having fun Having fun is really the main thing that people should always think of when they do play gambling but losing money isnt really fun at all and even those people who do say that they are just playing for fun will defnlinitely feel frustrations and it cant really be avoided not to be frustrated. I believe in different superstitions about gambling and I think it's better to play in the clothes in which there was once a big win or to have some talisman to attract luck.
its possible too. especially the Chinese they tend to wear something that they believe could attract luck and make them luckier in whatever they do.. maybe chinese gamblers are also practicing this until now. This could really work, or just because of our luck we will win our games. In my place, people will sit one place and play card games that place is their lucky place. Few friends are there they will win most of the times if they in that place. So they prefer only that place to play card games. And regarding your coins, yeah it could be lost as they are not responding to any support tickets. So sorry dude. Thats the risk you take for trusting a 3rd party. Sooner or later they will sometimes become unprofitable and the owners could decide to run with other people's coins if they become desperate. I have recently took investing on poloniex serious. Ever since I've invested the alt coins have been down. Do the amount of coins I posses go up if I stay. Its always been suggested and a wise thing to do is to hold your coins as long as you can and never ever sell off on cheap prices because you are still not considered on losing side as long you are still holding your coins compared on selling them on cheap price. Enough profits ? If I would have got chances to have some profits, probably I will stop gambling right after those profits.
