7981  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: LTCMiner.io is a scam <<< BEWARE on: February 16, 2018, 06:30:42 AM
I saw ltcminer.io promoted by someone in a comment to a zerohedge post, and I decided to give it a try.

After spending about $60 worth of LTC, I was able to prove that it's a scam. Their website looks very professional, however, they lure you in to buy the next package above the one they promote as free, they pay if you withdraw small amounts below what you put in, and then all subsequent withdrawals stay as PENDING.

STAY AWAY from ltcminer.io!
That is typically a lame strategy but sadly you lost $60 for their shit and thanks to you everyone would know how greedy those bastards. Their website should be block and someone should pull it down immediately before it scams another person. I just can't imagine that what if hundreds or thousands would put their money on that, those bastards are gonna get rich real quick.

Yes, very lame, not being patient got the best of me. Not to be repeated again.
Not only patience would vary here but also knowledge and researching habits would really require for you not to commit such mistake. Most people do only learn up when they are already being victimized its much more better if we do avoid at first and dont wait for you to lose money this is why research is always needed.

those miners web are all scam, none of them are real. The real mining you have to do by yourself, your own hardware and your own place. better avoid them.
There are still some legit but not yet guaranteed profits when it comes to cloud mining sites but most of them are just total scams and its really much better to build your own than on entrusting to those companies.
7982  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Bitcointalk Account price calculator on: February 15, 2018, 01:24:19 PM
Is this normal? Loading/Calculating time is very long I'm waiting for almost 10 mins it doesn't appear any single information. I do have fast internet and I'm using chrome browser.

Same situation do also happening on me where loading time took so long even the UI is just lite.

How much time does it take to get the estimated price information? I waited 5 minutes but can not get the price info. Probably, your site bot get caught by bitcointalk ddos prevention service.
We dont know if hashflare service do have really the involvement on here regarding on getting accounts information in the site. Crawling might still possible since information posted are accurate but im not really sure on the price of each account.

7984  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto is the future,no need to panic on: February 13, 2018, 10:16:42 PM
Real investors never panic, they know the cards very well, especially about Bitcoin. Except for the amateurs who wanted to ride the boat for some quick money, everybody knows the future will be crypto economy and they won't panic.
Most of them doesn't really know how the cryptoworld in the market works that's why they have to follow what the veterans did and it is commonly used in the world of business. Copying what others did but they do not know that every businesses there's a secret recipe to it that makes them unique to others. This unique recipe starts within yourself and that's what makes you stand to the others. If you are a real investors and have enough experience you will gain that unique recipe within yourself, it is just a matter of time.
7985  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is Bitcoin Legal in India? on: February 13, 2018, 08:55:16 PM
In the view of Indian Governtment Bitcoin is Legal. Means if we trade Bitcoin from India is there any legal issues?

Right suggestion only.
Yes bitcoin is still legal in India, but there is a serious discussion going on Indian government for regulating the bitcoins because Indian government realized that many people from India are earning huge money through crypto currency but no one is paying taxes for that income.Recently a central minister address about this issue in parliament.Since that there are lots of rumors created that India banned bitcoins but not yet maybe soon we have the official announcement from the Indian government.

The Indian Government has not taken any decision regarding the legality of bitcoins so it is wrong to say that bitcoin is legal in india. Government has constituted a committee to study the possible tax frame and whether the bitcoin should be regulated or not ? At the moment, you can trade into the bitcoins but government authorities may ask you to pay the tax on the income generated through trading of bitcoins.
It does only mean that they don't encourage people of investing in Bitcoin because scams are so mainstream in their city that's why the government have taken some actions to inform their people that not to invest to some 'too good to be true' aka ponzi scheme. It is widely reported lately as what i have read from the news but they didn't really ban Bitcoin at all they just pose a warning to everyone on their country.
7986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most cryptos to go to Zero on: February 13, 2018, 08:07:15 PM
Just FYI crypto-currency is not the global currency of the future so I partially agree with this post.
Nevertheless I still like Bitcoin et al. But McAfee's manparts are in serious trouble.
What I cannot agree with is that the intrinsic value is zero. The ability to instantly send money digitally at the push of a button in an electronic era has the potential to make a serious dent in the financial industry with several trillions at stake. But only the righteous will thrive.
Maybe yes or maybe no, no one knows but most the coins that will go down to zero are the one that was already bring dumped by everyone. Bitcoin was made to change what was the banks and governments doing in our fiat currency. So it could be very difficult to justify if cryptocurrency will gonna perish without a fight. Most developers are working hard to develop the best crypto in history and on the coming future.
7987  Economy / Economics / Re: Positive thinking brings positive things. on: February 13, 2018, 07:46:08 PM
Yes indeed. Positive thoughts really bring positive things. Our thoughts really affect of what we want to achieve on our own life. When the mind is positive and calm then we can think clearly and take a good step, a quiet mind is needed by a trader and thats what we need to have a great success!

It really brings a positive effect when you are around with those positive people in your life that no one really doubts about of your ability to manage things according to your own thinking. Everyone should be something like that or they should change how their mindset react while everyone that surrounds him that full of negativity. We should stay away to those people who thinks negative if you can't change their mindset then you should leave them where they wanted to be, it's not worth of your time.
7988  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud mining - my experience on: February 13, 2018, 03:18:23 PM
Anyone in the same boat ? I decided to go with Genesis Mining last year mid August. 30 TH. Up until now I haven't reached the break even point. And my payouts dropped dramatically after diffculty increased a lot this year. I estimate that it will take at least 1-2 more month till I reach the break even. But I just asked myself how much btc I will get out of this contract then till difficulty is so high that Genesis will cancel the contract. Any idea how to calculate this?
I think you did not compute the percentage ROI for their contract that is why you invest in this cloud mining, yes genesis is still legit but their contract is not recommended to invest because you money will sleep for long period of time in their contract while if you invest that in trading you can able to get much higher and faster income. Also the risk is very high because mostly in cloud mining they are getting to be scam for long period of existence.
Nowadays, it is so hard to trust to those cloud mining website because it's so mainstream and the people who manage those websites are scamming more people. Even if you calculated your ROI on them they will find a new way to really not get something from them. It's like you are paying for their services the longer you use it the more you will be paying and that's why you will not gonna get your ROI because of their contract that will tend to expire when the mining difficult raised.
7989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: For Bounty begginers on: February 13, 2018, 12:38:51 PM
as a lot of begginers, i'm interest of participation in bounties! And want know more about it.
start joining on some bounties that accepts newbies Smiley along the way you can start participating in big campaign along the way
make sure to be disciplined to have decent amount of merits Smiley
i hope this helps
I don't think bounty manager do required some merit points to join to their campaign, most of them are really looking for at least Jr. Member account to be qualified to their bounty program. As long as you follow their rules you don't have a problem but you should at least know where to join a legitimate bounty campaign because some of the bounty programs are just a scam, be sure to read to the news or follow their telegram and ask everything if you really want to participate to their program.
7990  Economy / Economics / Re: You missed all the trains, not just bitcoin on: February 12, 2018, 05:58:50 PM
I have read many posts of people saying they are sorry to have missed Bitcoin. But I wonder if they realise that there have been more than 20 trains out there that could have made them millionaires.

They have managed to miss at least all these, some of them as recent as July last year. It is not that you missed Bitcoin, is that you (and I) just missed many many others Roll Eyes

NXT          2013-09-28            +1084215%
IOTA         2015-11-25            +418179%
Neo           2015-10-01           +354482%
Ethereum   2014-07-22           +265772%

And the recent ones...
Populous      2017-06-24          +12181%
QTUM          2017-03-12           +10091%

Be honest to yourself... you did have a chance!
But the question is? We didnt even know on these coins to grow like this because along the way for sure we would really sell out for earliest times which is normal for a trader and i do believe only a few did really held off for long term but most of them do really sell out along the way which its really a regretful thing but its already late for them to realize. We cant go back in time while they are still cheap but we should think that we did make out of money of those coins.

17Million x rate of Nano (0.0011 BTC) = 18.7k BTC
wow a very big amount, so will the exchange give a compensation that the user lost?
No word yet came from them about such compensation which i doubt that this thing wont really be possible seeing on how big is the amount being hacked. As i doubt too this was just merely an inside job why those tokens being stolen and for those people who lost XRB now NANO then consider those tokens lost in void. Inside job or not but retrieving wont really be possible for sure.
7992  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: If Bitcoin is not FIAT Currency !! It is Better Than That !! on: February 12, 2018, 04:41:35 PM
I know you guys will say Bitcoin is a FIAT currency , I am also supporting it. But i saw many people arguing that Bitcoin is not Fiat currency and it will be never be matched with that.

Bitcoin can not be a fiat currency as its a decentralized currency and no government has control over it. Bitcoins are not even legal tender in most of the countries in the world.

I got some reason to say if Bitcoin is not a Fiat currency it is better than that -

Everyone knows these features of the bitcoins and it doesn't prove your point either.

Please Merit me , suffering to get it. If you got some advise , i am ready to accept. [/color]

My advise for you, you can not ask for the merits and you might get negative trust for it.

Bolded part! This thing would really give you some nasty red paint into your account and even this post wont really be worth to be merited yet this is just a basic thing that everybody do already knows regarding into this matter on which bitcoin cant really be considered as a fiat currency we do know its a decentralized thing and as being said theres no point on explaining those basic informations above listed on OP.
7993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: what are the rules for finding a serious airdrop on: February 12, 2018, 04:18:00 PM
I wonder how to know if an airdrop is likely to result ??
what are the important factors to consider ?

No one knows and theres no assurance that every airdrop we do join would really give a good result since most of them do failed out and only a few would succeed which would potential give us profits or free money in no time and less work. This is why as an airdrop hunter always seek out for most potential projects which we would see that do have possibilities on succeeding. On this way we can increase the chance on making money but still not a sure thing anytime.
7994  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Checking crypto prices on: February 12, 2018, 03:41:57 PM
94% of those who own crypto currencies check them daily. I'm interested to see who often most prople here check.
You do have some good assumption and i will really have the same thing on mind which most people would really check their portfolio holdings on daily basis. In my situation im a both short and long time trader which i do really need to see prices from time to time checking if it do hit up my take profit or stop loss. This is important on having a constant update specially when you are an active trader but for long term purpose then its not really necessary.
7995  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market Is Having a Crash But Stay Calm on: February 12, 2018, 02:58:15 PM
you are mistaken, deceitful news is still influencing the price. No matter if it's a young project without a finished product or a major project like Ethereum...
I agree which no matter which project we do mean either having working product or just still on planning phase.Everything would really be affected when it comes to fundamentals this is why we do keep an eye regarding to these scenarios.

Yes things are moving pretty slow and soon it will climb and takes its super position, now it is going to and fro like a pendulum. I think all these were due to the fear that surrounds the current regulatory environment but this sorts of macro factors don't have much impact on the price. Hope market moves forward within few days.
Patience would really be the thing here if we can able to hold or would just surrender on what we do see on current situation of the market.
7996  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Alternatives to Blockchain.info? on: February 12, 2018, 02:37:43 PM
I just wanted to use blockchain.info for temp use
Just don't use it if you'll thinking to put big amount of bitcoins there for good. Don't use it as a storehouse, use other wallets that are even safer than bc.info. You can try greenaddress if you can't avail a hardware wallet.
As many others suggested, it is not recommended to use online wallets. But if you prefer web wallets over software or hardware ones, blockchain.info looks the best option in my opinion since it has lots of feature like for example the option to buy BTC and ETH directly from your wallet.
I'm using it because it's very handy and easy to use but it's only for small amount not with big amounts. Greenaddress is a good one which supports Segwit too.
Never tested yet green address wallet but for me i still feel safe to use electrum for lite version of bitcoin core..
You can backup seeds and private key and save anywhere in your computer or you can write down it into paper or notes..
And i was holding a good amount of bitcoin and until now never experience any issue.. the good thing you can use the latest segwit that you can reduce your transaction fee every time you transfer bitcoin unlike legacy wallet or non segwit wallet .

Just always remember use a wallet which you can backup the private key so that if the wallet lock down you can recover your wallet into other wallet with private key support..
Electrum is still safe after all and its developer Thomas is one of the most prominent person in the bitcoin economy and he has contributed a very big thing for providing this type of wallet. But with greenaddress you better try it out, it's a good wallet that allows you to support segwit as they are supporting it already. I find it the same thing with electrum, you can bump the fee if you get stuck so for others who are looking for alternative, not only with electrum have a try with greenaddress.
If i have to choose among the two then i would go for electrum which it do suits my need and its really convenient for me to use up but well this would be entirely depending on peoples preference which would suit him. Greedaddress is also good which do really support segwit and thats a good advantage when it bumping tx's.
7997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's effect Facebook banned will have on ICOs today on: February 12, 2018, 02:07:06 PM
Facebook have it new policy pertaining to initial coins offerings 'ICOs' . The policy specifically prohibits ads that promote ICO on it platform.
The banned is due to the fact there are so many companies who are advertising ICOs that are not currently operating in good standards and faith.
In the meantime, Facebook is encouraging people to report content that violates this new policy.
What effect do you think this will have on ICOs and future  of cryptocurrencies?

will have zero to no effect, only would decrease the amount of SMM advertising for the shit ICOs
there were not many anyways,Facebook ads are expensive and with less effectiveness than Google ads or Twitter, for example
but Facebook follows Youtube's footsteps, only it is a different category ban,but the big companies do not like to be associated with dubious content
be it facebook, youtube or any other social media-more than 20% of ICO funds have been stolen or misused, according to a research
so there is no doubt you as a potential content viewer would be better off not being able to see a scam ICO ad on facebook
They are really less ineffective since we do know that most people dont really have idea on what crypto is and as you said they are expensive compared into google ads or just simply on twitter basis. I dont have any idea on the statistics regarding on that 20% which i wasnt aware but yet we do saw that certain percentage is misused. This is actually an advantage for people on not being scammed.

7999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Back at RED :( on: February 11, 2018, 04:30:42 PM
Coins are dumping again. I know that we won't really know when will things go back to normal. I am still holding my coins and hoping that it will recover after this awful dip. I just want to know who else here are holding? Do any of you got tired of waiting and did a panic sell? I know some people who sold their coins at a lower price before. I held into my principles and kept waiting but it seems like things aren't going smooth. Any thoughts about this? Please respect my post. Thanks!
Its not surprising that there would be holders and there would be panic sellers which is a common thing here on cryptoworld when it comes to investment or on making money. Going back in reds is common since we do know this market is too volatile and anytime it can pump or even dump. If we can able to make short tradings we can really make money on these waves but doing this would really be hard this is why most people do really just simply hold it for long term purpose.
8000  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: ICOs asking for passport...is it safe? on: February 11, 2018, 03:17:17 PM
It has been one of the condition for purchasing ICO, most of the ICO now are heavy regulated, so it has becone requirements to buy ICO, I dont feel safe to hand over my identity to unknown site, but now most of exchanges now also require kyc documents, so if you still want to stay in crypto world, one day you will also need to hand over your identity

I get that it is a part of KYC policy or requirements however the passport contains information which may be potentially used for scams or identity theft. It's nice that valid identification is not made a requirement to invest in ICOs however there should be safeguards to give some protection for the investors as well. We can't impose this since you have the liberty anyway to back out or choose not to invest in that certain ICO if you are not willing to share your passport information, the risk will be in your own hands anyway.
Its your own choice if you would take the risk or not if you do find out that its really worth to invest on that certain ICO then its your choice as long you do know the risk about on the document that you have given into them. Its not really totally safe when you do give any information on this online world anyone can steal it and use it on other purposes which would really put you in trouble.
