82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook will issue "GlobalCoin" before 2020 - What do you think about this? on: May 27, 2019, 03:21:00 AM
Facebook crypto currency will be much different than current eco system

1. It will be centralized instead of decentralized.
2. I do not think facebook will allow mining of it currency.
3. Facebbok will dictate on the pricing of cryptocurrency.

Q: Will it help btc or other crypto adoption?
A: No.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any tips for playing steemmonster? on: May 27, 2019, 03:15:55 AM
One more update:

Steemmonster has started bid based voting in steemit with the use of DEC. (DEC is in game currency.)

They are also giving handsome returns in DEC for delegating. Read full article below.

84  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to Reduce the Size of Government on: May 27, 2019, 02:37:36 AM
My proposal believes in punishing bad and negligent government officials rather than punishing the people by keeping the officials in office.

If you have ways to make things better, point them out. My brief proposal is missing a whole lot of details that have to be worked out. It's simply the basic idea. Giving government officials free reign without getting anything productive done makes things worse.

I think you should look at Jan Lokpal/(Citizen Ombudsman)  for inspiration. Since we were struggling with corruption so it stated mostly corruption but you can replace corruption with most prevailing problem of your system.

PS: This bill never passed and no government is ready to pass the bill that can give so much power to the people that is not originating from government.

85  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2019 Indian general election on: May 27, 2019, 02:30:42 AM
So, if I understand you correctly, there is a lot of fear mongering. Adversaries are saying "if BJP gains more control then they will do <insert evil things here>"  Analogous to US Democrats saying that Republicans are racists and nativistic, etc...

Yes , it is more of fear mongering and less of facts. Since India is developing countries, lot of people still struggle for basic needs like food, water electricity, literacy rate is just 74% according to 2011 census so these kind of politics sometime become successful.

How a illiterate and poor will validate the facts and I guess if the literacy rate hit 100% most of the problems will eradicated.
86  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Scandal in Austria or another puncture of a liar Putin on: May 27, 2019, 02:19:18 AM
Between all US,Russia and Putin related discussion, Austria is left out of the discussion.
If Austria have dishonest politician which can betray the country then the fault is in Austria, not in Putin.
87  Other / Meta / Re: Has anyone suggested adding an autolock feature to advanced options? on: May 27, 2019, 01:26:21 AM
I will vote for the time based autolock , If you got problem it need to be solved on a definite time frame, let say 3 days. So you can decide it will lock after 3 days because afterwards I am no more looking at more solutions.

The problem with auto locking after fix number of replies is that if sub par poster started replying in the topic then your topic will be already locked when it is seen by some good poster or good solution giver.

Anyway, making a habit for locking when problem is resolved is the best solution.
88  Other / Meta / Re: User martychubbs; need opinions on: May 27, 2019, 01:19:17 AM
Whatever you think off topic and low quality in the post history, report it to Moderator with your justification.

Post copying outside text with source link and nothing added by OP is considered as low value post, when reported these threads are trashed.
89  Other / Meta / Re: [Feature Suggest] Allow Newb unlimited messages to any ranked member who replies on: May 27, 2019, 01:09:28 AM
Whatever you are saying tecshare can be done if users can whitelist other users on personal level. Instead every newbie can send  unlimited message (with whom you did corresponded.) you can select them (personally whitelisting.) Once you are done with trade then you can remove them or keep them in whitelist.

I will suggest you to develop some alternative method of mechanism for your case instead of relying on forum.(Forum is slow in implementing features.)
90  Economy / Reputation / Re: [need DT] using multiple account, trading merit, self-talking, trading trust on: May 26, 2019, 04:00:53 PM
I'm very conflicted.. :/

There is no conflict of interest Hhampuz , I do not trust a person who can share private key with the neighbor, share email with neighbor.
Think yourself, I guess you will easily get the answer.

As far Cryptomania  profile is considered :

wwzsocki sent 72/208 = 34.6 % of Merit to cryptomania.

Crypto mania received 72 merit in total 92 Merit  =  78.2% merit from wwzsocki .

Cryto mania sent 44/46  =95.5% of the total merit to wwzsocki .

Your email,ETH address are personal to you, stop sharing them.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AT&T says it will accept payments in cryptocurrency on: May 26, 2019, 11:10:56 AM
I didn’t see this coming.  Hopefully this will create a tidal wave of companies accepting crypto payments.

https://www.foxbusiness.com/business-leaders/att-payments-cryptocurrency
They have to do it now and be ahead to other companies or else they will just be left behind. Facebook have started to realize it, they are now working with their own coins. Its good to have more tech companies, or any businesses to accept cryptocurrency this is a real start now and hope for more.

a company like Facebook creating their own centralized and possibly closed sourced and closed (private) blockchain cryptocurrency should not be confused with bitcoin and its acceptance as payment by other companies.
the first one is meaningless to use because it is simply a big corporation making money from the hype but the second one is important to us because it increases bitcoin adoption.

Totally agree whatever you said about difference about facebook and bitcoin. Facebook is just creating its own coin to ride on the wave of the blockchain popularity.  Marketing is a big reality today andfd might in future we se crypto by Google, Amazon etc.

AT&T accepting bitcoin is indeed a welcome news.
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: --< Building your future on the price of Bitcoin >-- on: May 26, 2019, 10:57:46 AM
But the problem is many people have stuck at a high price and they cannot selling the bitcoin because that will makes them get a loss.
They don't have more money to buy a whole 1 bitcoin because their money was inside on every coin they have.
We can see many people have spent a lot of money in a few years ago, and many of them have not sold their coins at 2017 and still hold until now because in that time, they want to make more profit and that makes them delay for selling their coins.
But if that people can add more money to his balance, I am sure that he can slowly recover he lose and he doesn't need to wait for another bull run because he can get a profit from small amount until he can fully recover his losses.

Nobody is saying to buy one whole bitcoin. But truth is that people who had purchased at 17K+ has lost hope (Actually they never trid to understand bitcoin technical perspective, al they saw money which dwindled.)

My most of friend want to sell their holding if they get their buying price and they do not want to do more investment.
93  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Starting crypto trading, the first stages to be successful on: May 26, 2019, 10:46:05 AM
Wow, you have really inspired me, thanks. I will start from learning process. You are right.
Thanks for your help.
But what is about how can I start to make deposit. Do I need to creat some digital wallet? If so, where can I take it?

Creating a wallet on exchange or any third party site in which you do not control the private keys is not advisable at all.

First , you need to learn a bit about crypto currency so you can understand basic concepts. Users already shared the books and thread in previous post, so go through them once.

Even when you trade , it will be not advisable to leave your coins on exchange due to risk involved and make sure you choose your exchange wisely. (there are lot of scam exchange,coins,people..)

Be safe.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for private seed stage investor for project on: May 26, 2019, 10:35:16 AM

I have a deep understanding of what I'm getting into.  --snipped--

I do get your point that from an investors perspective we don't have prior successful companies under our belts which means investing in our project is inherently more risky than investing in someone more established like Elon Musk or Vitalik Buterin, but at some point they were in the same position as us right now.

I do not know why you guys first show your crypto understanding by first working in already established crypto projects? Show you commits or problem solved by you before you claim that you have deep understanding.

Vitalik was a core bitcoin developer before the creation of Ethereum and his crypto understanding is already known to all.

Market is full of scam news and in current scenario it is very difficult for you to gain investor trust/funding.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is the best crypto-exchange interface? on: May 26, 2019, 10:17:31 AM
In your opinion, what is the best UI/UX for exchange you ever seen?

If you are just looking for the UI/UX of exchange (not for actual trading.) then I will suggest you to look at the coinexchange.io interface.
I find the exchange interface in white background is somewhat relaxing to eyes.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cobinhood Defrauds Investors in Planned Exit Scam on: May 26, 2019, 10:13:06 AM
Read some more detailed articles , look like CEO Chen Taiyuan lavishly spent the company money for its own personal gain and in the end liquidated the company.
Hope that taiwanese authority will thoroughly investigate the case and put culprits behind the bar.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: YoBit Support Pls Enter Hare on: May 26, 2019, 09:22:55 AM
This is Development and technical discussion for BTC. You need to contact Yobit support on their site or move it to Altcoin service discussion so some other user can help you.
98  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: RUON - R (are), U (you) ON(on)? on: May 26, 2019, 09:01:51 AM
So basically what you are developing right now is just a monetize version of Facebook or Instagram in which aside from the devs earning monely its users will also  get to taste some cash just by posting content? To tell you honestly I like the idea and I don't think it has ever been done before successfully and mostly right now what they are copying is Steemit so that's a good sign. Idea wise you have a good project but I have doubts on how will this RUON project of yours will even exist in the long run as really your number one concern is attracting enough users to use your platform actively.

Dan Larimer is one of the guy behind steemit so this idea might be further extension to steemit.

But few things of concerns here.
Steemit itself is not a sucessful platform.

I see there is plan to launch 2000 satellites, launching satellite is a very costly affair and cost will be a very big prohibitive factor in this model.

Having blockchain in space does not remove any legal jurisdiction because  users will be here in earth and follow the rules here.

99  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to Reduce the Size of Government on: May 26, 2019, 08:36:24 AM
Let the platform that a candidate runs on be a contract with the people. When he is elected, if he doesn't do what he said in his platform contract, execution. If he is literally stopped by the opposition from a timely follow-through, so it isn't entirely his fault, life in prison immediately.

When the next person in line takes over after the first guy has been executed/imprisoned, he has a choice. Fulfill the platform contract of the first guy, be executed/imprisoned like the first guy... except if he voluntarily immediately resigns without taking office.

Same with every other person who is the follow-up person to take office as successor to someone who is executed/imprisoned/resigns. Fulfill the contract of the office you are coming into or die.

By the time they run through all the people in government, and the garbage collector resigns before he is executed, government problems will have straightened themselves out.

Cool

EDIT: Obviously, this is only a basic idea. I mean, we should add that if the elected fulfills his contract with the people, a new election is immediately mandated.

Why next person coming have to fulfill the contract of the first one. May be the first one did not find the efficient way or there is a loophole and it will be always going to fail.

In most of the country government is supposed to follow the model of "collective responsibility" and not based in model individuality.
Your proposed model believes on punishing but not work towards making things better.
100  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who thinks we will get a drink from a robot bartender in the near future? on: May 26, 2019, 08:26:19 AM
Not everybody goes to bar to talk with bartender. I feel robot bars will be successful in sport bars where you go with friends to enjoy the match and drinks. Punching some number for getting your drink look to me a good choice.
