I dosnt matter who they will be face in the Champions League final , Bayern Munich or Real Madrid are 2 teams thats hard to play against them.
The question i asking myself is why hasnt Dortmund played that good and confidently in the German League too.
They have proof since yesterday now that they can play good , so fingers crossed they make it and win the final.
So Dortmund will be for sure protect the main players of the last 2 games in the german league that nobody will be get injured.

The UCL final is on 1st June. The last Bundesliga game is on 18th May, so they'll have over 2 weeks to rest. No need to "protect" their key players, in fact, they should utilise their strongest squad in the games to come to make sure they don't get too rusty from having too long break.

As for BvB's yesterday's game, despite the great 2-0 on aggregate, it wasn't their best game at all. PSG had plenty of chances but were out of luck in hitting the target. They had much better games in Bundesliga, but to win the league they need to be consistent in performance and that's what was lacking.

I agree that Bayern and Real Madrid are on similar level when they play at 100% of their abilities, but I find Real to be more consistent, whereas Bayern had a few really poor matches recently, which would make them an easier opponent. Especially given Borussia beat them 2-0 in their last game.
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 08, 2024, 11:01:34 AM
Borussia Dortmund eliminated French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the semifinal round by winning 2-0 on aggregate yesterday to advance to the UEFA Champions League final. Dortmund who won the first leg 1-0 with Niclas Fullkrug's goal in Germany on May 1, won the second leg match with a header by German defender Mats Hummels in the 50th minute at Parc Des Princes.  PSG's four goal attempts came back from the crossbar. Also Dortmund claimed their only Champions League trophy in 1997.

I'm kicking myself for not making a small bet on Borussia to win, when the odds were at something like x25.0.
Great win by the Dortmund team, they might not be doing that great in the Bundeliga (currently occupying 5th place), but if they manage to win the UCL I'm sure their fans will forgive them. It would be their second time to win the UCL Cup, the first time was in 1997, so quite a long time ago.

As for the game itself, PSG was extremely unlucky, I think they had like 4 shots that went off the post/cross-bar, but it's fair to say that the Dortmund's win is fully deserved.
86  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Beterbiev vs. Bivol - Undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship on: May 07, 2024, 09:57:58 PM
Artur Beterbiev has ruptured his meniscus and requires surgery. Doubt he's gonna go to that length to avoid a fight. Injuries do happen from time to time even though some fighters do use any excuse they can to stall a fight I don't think this is one of them.

That's a particularly annoying type of injury, as he would be immobilised for quite some time completely unable to do any sort of training routine or cardio.
It's nothing like Fury's injury when all he had to do was to avoid hard sparring.

This just came out 18 hours ago, as I am posting this Bivol will face a guy named Malik Zinad he is undefeated in 21 fights with16 knockouts but only ranked number 9 in the standing, he gained that number of knockouts because he's fighting patsies, I don't think Bivol will have a hard time disposing of this guy but at least he can keep himself busy while waiting for Beterbiev to recuperate.

Not a bad replacement given less than a month's notice to be honest. Of course, Zinad is nothing close to Beterbiev, but he's willing to put his "zero" on the line and fight the biggest name in the light heavyweight. Marketing-wise, even if he loses but manages to look somewhat decent against Bivol, it should be a nice boost to his career.
I'm glad they made this fight, as making Bivol wait till at least late Nov/early Dec didn't sound like a good idea.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football/Soccer Winning Strategy on: May 06, 2024, 10:12:23 PM
As always with this type of topics, people tend to get overly focused on the probability of winning, completely neglecting payout rates being too small to make it worth it.
Simple example: if you bet on a dye-roll and bet on it rolling any number from 1-5 with a winning bet paying you x1.10 - you'd be winning the vast majority of times, but you'd still be losing money.

To have an effective strategy, you need to find a way of shifting the advantage to your side. Otherwise it's just inventing new ways of losing money.

(...) While you get the chances of winning are higher in a team with 1.10 odds, adding another team with another odds of 1.10 means hitting 1.20 right?

1.21 to be precise. You just need to multiply them together.
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: May 06, 2024, 09:57:34 PM
Out of their last 10 Premier League games, Manchester United have only won 2. One with Everton and one with the last in the table - Sheffield.
The 4-0 loss to Crystal Palace was an absolute humiliation. We all knew they were lacking in the offence, but their defence was equally bad today. It could've been 5-0 if not for the off-the-post shot.
It's a shame, because they had a real chance of fighting for the 5th place, given Tottenham have lost a lot of points lately, but Man United have wasted that chance.
They can still get a spot in the Europa League next season if they somehow manage to defeat Man City in the FA Cup final, so not all is yet lost for them.

Have they removed Jose Aldo from the UFC rankings after the last fight or was he not ranked before that fight?
If he's indeed in the contract renewal talks with the UFC, they should probably keep him ranked until he signs up with another organisation or if the new contract negotiations fall through.

I think the biggest loser of the UFC 301 was Vitor Petrino. Many are not familiar with the name, but he was on the verge of jumping into the ranking and being considered for fights with big names. He had a lot of hype potential with his 11-0 record and a high finish ratio, so they gave him Anthony Smith, who seemed to be on the decline, but Smith derailed his hype-train with a first-round guillotine choke.

But according to the rules - Any match abandoned before the completion of 90 minutes play will be void except for those bets the outcome of which has already been determined at the time of abandonment. But even after I provided a live stream of the match, the casino still refused to refund my bets.
(...)

Can't be asked to check what their terms and conditions actually say, but taking what you wrote at face value, and assuming it's all correct, the second part of the rule is relevant here:
"(...) except for those bets the outcome of which has already been determined at the time of abandonment".
To me, this reads that if the game has been deemed completed and the result is official (despite abandonment), then the bet is not void.

In this case, the referee decided to finish the game early, which apparently is allowed in certain circumstances including, among other things, a fight breaking out. If the game was cancelled and was to be re-played (either in full or just the missing time) then you would be 100% right, But looks like the 2-2 is accepted as the final result, i.e. by the official Instagram account, liga3indonesiaofficial:
https://www.instagram.com/p/C6eF5uzS8cg/?img_index=2

But I don't blame you for questioning the decision, as it's a rather unusual situation, and in my first reaction, I sided with you, before diving a bit deeper into it.
91  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 06, 2024, 07:53:43 PM
But next season will be different. Alonso cannot rely on current players to face next season's competition. I'm sure that currently all the teams in the Bundesliga do not expect Leverkusen to be this dominant. But next season they will be prepared and Munich will not let Leverkusen win the Bundesliga again. They will also play in the UCL next season. Alonso needs several players to rotate and increase the level of play.

I agree. The chances that the next season will be equally successful for Leverkusen are rather low. And it's not only because of the risk of key players getting transferred out. The other top contenders, namely Bayern (the richest club in the Bundesliga), will also be making tactical adjustments and squad investments to make sure they don't get dominated as easily as they did this season.
But there is also the psychological factor at play. In the last 5 seasons, they'd usually end up around 5th-6th place, with 2021-22 being their best one, when they finished 3rd. So no one really expected them to win the league, so they had that overperforming underdog mental boost going on, but that won't be the case next season, when the expectations for them will be set really high, which will bring some extra pressure.

As for their yesterday's game against Eintracht - the 5-1 away win is something to be proud of, given Frankfurt can be a pretty dangerous team. I expected another draw and even made a small bet on it, but things stacked up nicely in favour of Leverkusen. Who knows how it all would end if Marmoush didn't waste his perfect 1 on 1 situation and if Eintracht took the 2-1 lead.

William Gomis is out of UFC 301 after he almost collapsed on scale!
This shows again how crazy cutting weight in UFC is: https://youtu.be/tNcdrMIBzio

This shows how retarded his team is.
According to the video, his weight was 143 pounds. For a non-title bout, he's allowed to weigh +1 pound above the official limit, so 146.
So if his near-collapse was indeed due to cutting weight, they MASSIVELY overdid it.
We could speculate on whether they were using some uncalibrated scale, but he showed up with shorts and t-shirt (so extra weight), meaning they knew he was below the limit.

There is one interesting proposal from Jon Jones to fight against Alex Pereira, but fight would need to happen in heavyweight division.
I would like to see this two guys in octagon but I dont think Pereira is ready to fight big guns yet, not so long ago he was in middleweight category fighting with Adesanya last year.

This statement confirms he's afraid to fight Tom, as he knows Tom is younger, more energetic and has skills that could be enough to defeat him. So now he's just trying to boost up his record with fights he knows he's going to win. Stipe is way past his prime and all he'd have to do against Pereira is to take him down like he did to Gane.

If he refuses to fight Tom after the Stipe fight (assuming he wins) he should either be retired or, at the very least, stripped of his title.
93  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 04, 2024, 09:59:05 PM
(...) now in the European League Alonso's journey is still not safe, he has to face Roma in the second leg even though Leverkusen is already leading 2-0 on aggregate but come Roma's back is still there, in the second leg i will still choose Leverkusen for betting, they are truly unbeatable, the chance of entering the UEL final is very big.

2-0 away win in the first leg is nothing to complain about. Their advance to the next stage is still not safe, but they did very well to make it possible on Thu.
Leverkusen is a huge favourite to win the EL Cup this year, with odds around x1.45.
The last time they've won it was in 1988 and that was the only time Bayer has won any Europen cup. So winning the league and the EL would be quite an achievement.

Sometimes I wonder about Bayern Munich, in the Bundesliga they are meaningless and often disappointing, but when they appear in the Champions League it all seems stronger, do they no longer care about the Bundesliga? A bit unlucky to pick Bayern Munich.

They had a horrible game against Stuttgart and got humiliated in front of their own fans by BvB not that long ago, which might create an impression that Bayern is somehow underperforming, but the reality is they are still doing better in terms of average points per game than they did last season, when they've won the league. And advancing to the ECL semi-finals (and possibly to the final) is also not something to be ignored.

🎁 HugeWin | Arsenal - Bournemouth ' May 4th ⚽ Prize $50

The Arsenal vs Bournemouth match in the Premier League has finished, but the announcement of who won the goal prediction has not been announced and the topic has not been locked. And I see that the OP who created the topic has also been inactive since yesterday until today and I hope OP is still fine.

The game was today so give the man some time. It's not like he's obliged to do it instantly.
Looks like arjunmujay has won, as he picked the exact minute (45'). That's annoying because I came in 2nd (if I'm not mistaken) and was off by only 3 minutes.

On an unrelated subject, I see some changes have been made to the website's appearance. While it looks quite nice, my "settled" bets are now not showing at all (I don't have any unsettled ones). Perhaps it's not fetching data from before the website got the update?
Anyone else has this problem?
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: May 04, 2024, 08:34:12 PM
Solid performance by both PL championship contenders.
It's fair to say that Wolves and Bournemouth are on similar level, and Man City and Arsenal handled them equally good, but I think Man City had much more fun during their game and appeared very relaxed. Haalands scoring 4 goals was much needed to boost his confidence for the upcoming 3 matches that will decide who wins the league.
He now has 25 league goals, so should be enough to secure his Golden Boot trophy, as the 2-3 places are 5 goals behind (Palmer and Isak).

The next week will be more challenging for Arsenal as they're playing Man Utd in Manchester. If they are to lose any points this season, it will probably be there.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Beterbiev vs. Bivol - Undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship on: May 04, 2024, 08:06:47 PM
Unfortunately, Artur Beterbiev is once again injured and this fight will be postponed. The rest of the card, which is the 5 v 5 Matchroom vs Queensberry event will still go on. It is still a good card headlined by Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang but its still a disappointment that one of the most anticipated fights in recent history will not be happening.

Beterbiev is no stranger to injury. Many of his fights have been postponed due to injury. This is why he has so few fights for a 39 year old.

I've just read the news. What a bummer.
But yeah, the Wilder Vs Zhang is a good fight on its own to be elevated to the main event. To be fair, it seemed a bit odd that it was on the undercard.

I read that the injury will put Artur off till at least September, which is a long time. He needs time for the knee to heal properly, rehabilitation, and another preparation camp.
This could mean we might not see the fight until very late in the year.

If the fight is indeed "postponed", as the media report (and not just cancelled), then I don't think Bivol would be allowed to fight anyone else before then. The whole purpose of it is for the winner to "take it all", so if Bivol was to fight someone else and lost, he wouldn't be putting anything on the line.

(...)
Anyway, if we look at his Instagram account, he is not poor and live life that cost more than 126k gbp Cheesy However, year ago I have watched his interview from training camp in Thailand, and he lived quite a modest life. Small bungalow or room. He has told that camp cost him around $5k in total (tickets, coaches, food, accommodation) and that was a good amount to spend for him. Not like he can easily get $5k out of the pocket, but also not living on rice and water after such expenses.
Remember kids: Instagram is not reality Grin Anyone can look splendorous in front of a borrowed car.

I'm not sure if he lives in Armenia or Russia, but 126k can get you much further there. But the sad part is, he'll probably have to pay close to 40% tax on it and pay off his team from whatever's left. And then there's that 28k penalty...

I really hope for him there's some other, additional pay he'll be getting, i.e. contingent on ticket/PPV sales etc.

Here's the thing tho...  The guys who get into MMA and stay long in it to really make a living out of it have a different mindset than guys who fight in boxing.  They have some sort of mental illness as they're not totally there just for the money.  They're in it to fight and test their skills.  It's the guys who reach some level of success that become kinda whiney about money.  I mean how come these guys still fight at a high level like they do despite getting paid less money than boxing?  :/
(...)

That's true, at least to some degree. I believe some fighters that joined UFC from other organisations, like KSW, had to accepted worse pay than they were getting there, but did that for the sport/glory and maybe for a hope of really high earnings later on. When you establish yourself at the top, and have leverage to re-negotiate your contract etc, that's when the real money start flowing in. I guess young Arman is not there yet.
98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Beterbiev vs. Bivol - Undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship on: May 03, 2024, 01:32:26 PM
And if I'm not mistaken, Bivol is the slight favorite, so I would also think that the oddmakers might be right again.

Only VERY slight favourite.
Checking right now:
Bivol: x1.88
Beterbiev: x1.94

I wouldn't be surprised if there were betting sites out there that slightly favours Beterbiev. There are many pros that would pick Artur to win, saying he might be too much for Dmitry to handle.
He's 20-0, 100% KO record is not something to ignore.

I wouldn't say that Beterbiev is still in his prime, although undefeated, he is already 39 years old. Bivol for me is in his prime at 33 years old and not much of a wear and tear in his boxing career.

That's true, but everyone ages differently and Beterbiev still looks really sharp and handled Callum Smith pretty well in Jan. Smith had only one loss to Canelo before that fight, so was no pushover.
99  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: May 03, 2024, 01:14:36 PM
Comfy win by Chelsea yesterday now puts Tottenham under a little bit of presure and unsecurity on whether or not they'll manage to keep their current 5th place in the table.
The Spurs have lost 3 games in a row and reduced their gap over 6th Man United to 6 points, which is not really a safe position, as Tottenham is playing Liverpool next and Man City on 14th, so most likely they'll lose 6 points there.
The good thing for them is, that even if they get overtaken by Man Utd, they'll still participate in the Europa League next season, as the winner of the FA cup (Man City or Man Utd) will earn an EL spot, but if they qualify for CL or EL by high league position, that spot would be transferred onto 6th place. With that in mind, Tottenham doesn't have that much at stake, other than pleasing their fans and a better in the Premier League rewards.

(...) Using centralized mixing services never made any sense to me because of that.
Could be, but I don't recall ever hearing about anyone being prosecuted based on evidence from government controlled mixing services.

Decentralized services will be available anyway. Not every dev lives in a country they can reach. Can they get to a dev that lives in Russia for example? I don’t think so but this time your data will be in the hands of Putin.

Sure, but now any potential developers will have to take special measures to remain anonymous when working on any decentralised exchange, mixer of any sort or coin/token with anonymity feature. Even if they're not based in EU, the thought that you might get arrested anytime that you set foot in any of the EU countries is not going to be pleasant. And most people appreciate the option of traveling freely and would not be happy to give that away.
And from users' perspective, there's a risk of coins suspected to be mixed to be red-flagged by crypto-businesses, depending of how deep of a surveillance they'll be expected to do.
