Qortal should not add shit coins to trade portal! Do not like to be like other scam exchanges. Only add top 5 coins if you must.
Right, we will not be listing shit coins. BTC, LTC, and ETH are the only planned listings prior to the voting system being added. (even though I believe ETH to be a shitcoin personally, that's beside the point. We will list them until people realize how much better Qortal is and move the good projects from ETH to Qortal.)

So maybe adjust your flawed thinking, and come check the project again. MRPD is mad because my devs couldn't be bought, he attempted to steal dmax from me and failed, when dmax told him to get bent. So now he comes in and feels entitled to having developers of our team's caliber without putting in any real effort. Too bad in order to find the best people, you have to not be a greedy fool only out for yourself. Maybe think about that next time MRPD.
Having problems to get the Qortal wallet to run. After I downloaded the current provided version in the opening thread I run the .sh file. According to the log file the wallet should run on port 12392 while the API run on port 12391. But when I call 127.0.0.1:12392 the page is not found while calling 127.0.0.1:12391 gives me a page which says I must enable API documentation in settings file. Any help?

Ok so I understood wrong. It is tokens and coins.
Generally, everything is possible. But at the beginning, it makes total sense to add those cryptocurrencies which have big demand and liquidity. Also, it's a lot easier to list Bitcoin clones when you already have Bitcoin implemented than listing something completely new. Generally, I like the idea of having the decision making process based on votes. As a suggestion, maybe it makes sense to combine funding with the implementation of voting based features and listings? Because that way, implementations with high demand can be easily determined AND developers receive compensation for developing features. Keeps the incentive high for everyone.  I don't know about charging for it, I don't think that will be within my overall vision, but we'll take a vote on that as well We have pushed a small auto-update with mostly some overall networking fixes and other little things, network should begin updating shortly. |

Listing a token would not be in the interests of Qort from what I understand. Those stable coins are not true cryptocurrency "coins", they are tokens turned into place holders for some pre-determined fiat value. Bitcoin will be listed from what I read. The listing of coins/tokens will take place based on vote in the future. At first, bitcoin will be listed, then Litecoin and ETH. This is really a great project because is not based on greed and will bring
pure decentralization and soveregnity to people.
It will actually patch the flaws that were discovered in bitcoin and other pow and pos coins
and that is that you need big financial resources to participate in mining or staking
and are biased to centralization of power in long run.
This is only at the beginning and everyone can participate just by running the software on their computer.
A software that will take just few % of your CPU power and does not require
special equipment (hardware).
Congratulations to the developers and the whole team behind this to bringing this to life.

Awesome. Nostalgia, good old days with QORA. I regret that I sold all my QORA a long time ago. Better it was necessary to save them to get QORTAL, when it was possible. When is the first Exchange planned? Does QORA still have active nodes? I would double-check all the old wallets, suddenly there is something left  QORA still has active nodes, but you can't burn anymore. Too late now. As far as 'an exchange'... did you skip that part of the post? Qortal DOESN'T NEED AN EXCHANGE. The Trade Portal, completely decentralized, with BTC support, will be pushed in an auto-update, very soon after Genesis (Genesis is tomorrrow). |

Then the price of the coin will grow steadily by 10% per year. The point of the coin, is to continually have new coins being made, we feel that a service coin should always have new coins coming into the system, in order to reward the minters more, and keep the fairness of the system over time. Also, people have a tendency to lose BTC, etc... and if you have a set cap, what happens when too many people lose access to wallets? We plan for Qortal to be running a LONG time, so we cannot have lost wallets become a cause for concern. |
