interested in all of your miners, but first the D3's since they're in the US.

I will PM you.

To the developers. I've been observing the Qora project for a bit longer (since 2 years) from afar. Now my question is, is the project really evolving or is it dead? I would be willing to set up FullNodes, etc., but need something more credible. The website is dead and the coin is no longer listed on many exchanges. Are there any updates in the near future? ... is a Mac wallet planned? What are the advantages over Lisk or Ardor (NXT)? ... could the whole thing someday run on a tangle? Do you have new developers and how is the project funded? Thank you very much for the answers that surely interest many!

Alright, let me answer questions for you...

1. QORA is not dead, never has been. (I have been keeping the network alive with a series of nodes for over a year and will not let it die, but it won't anyway...) There was a time that it was misused, polo staked almost every coin, and no one made use of the services on QORA for various reasons, some of which were faults of the devs who built it by not making it simple enough, or making sure to explain in ways that everyone saw and understood.

2. Yes, QORA is absolutely evolving, and is in VERY active REAL development, with custom additions. You must realize that QORA is not a clone of anything, therefore ALL development is CUSTOM. This means not only must we have VERY talented devs, which we do, but we must also come up with our own ideas, figure them out, then custom build them. So it will be something that takes a little more time, but comes out simply amazing. I fully believe this.

3. Setting up full nodes can definitely be done now, we have a new test version that would be great if you would run on as many systems as you can, and let us know your results, keeping your logs on any crashes please.

4. QORA is java based, meaning it is auto-cross-platform. The version we release as a zip, is the 'universal' wallet, which is compatible with Windows/Linux, and Mac. We can help you if you need any assistance getting it running, I haven't run my old Mac in a long time, but I could even fire it up specifically to help walk you through getting it setup if you need.

5. The website is down on purpose right now, due to some previous people who were malicious, who could have potentially added things to the website that may not have been good, so I took it down preventatively. I will be putting it back up soon enough, but that isn't a focus of mine at the moment. We aren't quite ready for promotional phase yet, we're still getting things solid on the ground level.

6. Exchanges don't matter at the moment, but when they do, they will be attended to. OpenLedger trades a QORA token, which is manual deposit right now, and is x1000 per 1 QORA. So 1 QORA on OL is 1000 QORA. But this is fine, as the v2 of QORA will be a totally new chain, and we will be doing a swap with x1000 lower amount of coins in existence. So you can consider the price at x1000 the price of the v2 token when it is launched, but I expect it should be much higher than now by the time we reach that point.

7. QORA is LONG TERM focus, and I know in crypto people don't quite understand things that take over a few days or weeks to happen, but building a COMPLETELY CUSTOM platform, is something a bit different than 99% of the other clones that are in existence now. Clones are fine and good, but it's just not the same in terms of development.

8. We have a team with 2 very experienced senior java developers
, 2 very good web developers, and multiple other developers who will assist with other things once the core is completed. We have others who will help with promotion, and myself who will lead and coordinate and make sure everything happens as it should, and also speak to the community, etc.

9. Right now, I am personally funding everything.
However, I am open to donations. I have already spent well over 20 thousand dollars of my own money to get the development done that has been, and I will continue to fund it on my own, as this project is something that I'm genuinely interested in. It isn't all about making money for me, I want to see this come to reality, and so I'm willing to pay for it.

but yea, anyone who would like to help with funding, I'm of course, open to that.

Feel free to ask any other questions and I will answer them for you. Smiley

It was almost dead for a while.
Now, as you can see, a team led by crowetic is dedicated to making it great  again.

we really want to see QORA back in all exchange including poloniex , soon all readers will hear good news from Developers

I really hate poloniex for delisting Qora.
I suffered a huge loss from that. Wish it can be listed on many different exchanges.

There is no need to worry over exchanges right now,
first, as you can see there are 3 new testing versions, if you check peers in the wallet you may see ones up as new as 0.26.2.2 which are in testing.

Once the version we have becomes solid enough we don't have to ever worry about crashing and things of that nature, we will get it listed on exchanges, and OpenLedger will automate their deposit/withdrawal.

We are not in a rush here, we are building something that will be long-term and incredible
. Something that no other project is capable of. Decentralized web hosting alone is a massive service that if done correctly will make QORA HUGE.

But we must do things right
, we must take our time and do things the right way, rushing never gets anyone anywhere.

QORA has technology that no other project has, it has everything that ETH has and more. It has everything that all projects have and more. But there were a few things that were done that made it not flourish the first time it was launched. These things, along with new additions to benefit good content and supporting the network, will be fixed and implemented. Giving QORA a massive leg to stand on in the crypto space.

We are here for long term, I have been around for 4 years in crypto, and over 2 of those now fully living on a crypto only income. I am dedicated to QORA. Along with the team I have been slowly pulling together, making sure they are the correct people for the job, and not ones who are only there looking to get rich quick. That is not what this is about. We would like to show the world that crypto isn't only about money and only about paying attention to the price, and getting as much money as you can as quickly as possible... It is about the TECH.

The underlying tech of QORA is incredible, capable of things no one even knows, and things I've already helped to partially demonstrate, such as a fully decentralized on-chain real-time chat system. Which I think we can add voice and video to, and make it free for all. That is the next step there.

The reason I love QORA, is the tech. I wasn't even an original holder, I didn't have a lot until polo delisted and I bought as many as I could, and I've been acquiring as many as I can on OpenLedger when I can as well.

I will continue to reiterate, if you're only paying attention to QORA because you see the x1000 numbers on coinmarketcap, you're in the wrong place. QORA isn't for you. But if you're paying attention because you LOVE decentralization, and would enjoy seeing a totally new internet built with only person to person 'servers' and no central authorities, you're in the right place, and you'll be VERY happy to see what comes of this project.

QORA, is a service based token, it is NOT a store of value type token. This means it will be constantly USED for the services it can provide within the system and on chain. It is to be used, to be spent, to be shared, to be given freely to others, and it will have benefits beyond what other coins have. I can promise you this.

There is so much possible here, it's incredible. Working out all the details on exactly how, will take some time, some smart people coming up with good ideas, and smarter ones implementing the ones that are possible. We have a great many ideas ahead that we will all discuss together, because QORA isn't MY project, it is OURS. This isn't about anyone becoming famous, rich, or being someone who everyone knows, etc... This is all about the TECH. I love the tech, and so does the rest of the team, and we will be very pleased to show it to everyone and get it being used as much as possible, once we make it solid and implement the changes we desire.

We are ALWAYS open to anyone's opinions and suggestions as well, and open to anyone joining us in assisting making QORA something that will live on for a long time. Smiley

Thank you!

You are developing this coins so earnestly, but so many people are just look at airdrop coin free coin and so on, with your efforts, I believe QORA will have a very good future, I will download to try the new version, support it.You are great. Smiley
Totally agree. More people should try it and give feedback to devs.
Qora is a unique project. I am glad it is not abandoned like many others.

Thanks guys, and I agree... The merit of QORA is great. When it is built a tiny bit differently, it will be a top 10 project, I guarantee it. No other can offer what QORA can with decentralized web hosting, actually built on chain.

For a while I was considering attempting to take the data off chain, but I actually think it will work out fine this way, with a few modifications of course...

I think when you install QORA or when you launch for the first time in case it isn't Windows, you can select the amount of data you would like to use, OR you select 'masternode' which would save ALL data. (aside from that which you have blacklisted, which is another option that will need added.) This opens the door for masternodes to have another incentive and gain extra for being a node that holds all data. I kinda like the data being on chain now, as long as we can make it work in this manner. If you select that you'd like to only use 100GB it will only store the most recent 100GB of the chain. This I think should work out fine. But I still have some talking with the devs to do before I will know for sure. It seems like it should work though.

There will be many slight modifications to the way things work now, and new additions entirely that didn't exist before, such as incentivizing the hosting of good long standing solid nodes, and the incentivization of good content creation.

Therefore, there will be many ways to earn by assisting QORA network in various manners, and also the ability to become a MasterNode which actually has REAL functionality to assist the network.

As far as the algo, whether to go PoW or PoS... etc... I'm still having many discussions about this and attempting to figure out the best way to go about it. The hard part is finding something that is REALLY fair for everyone. It seems always in one way or another there will be people who have the benefit over others... This is always the difficult part.

However, I think the PoW/PoS hybrid is likely the best way to go about things for v2, but we'll still have plenty of time to discuss this once the new version of v1 is out, we are on other exchanges, and things are moving along as they should, then we can discuss more detail about what we'll do in v2 with the algo.

For now, the methods I've thought about in regards to making v1 incentivize content and node/network support, should work as long as a Smart Contract is capable of being the owner of a colored asset. I will figure this out and see if this idea is possible, and we'll go from there. I'm fairly sure that it will be possible, but it will likey require the design of a new SmartContract type specifically for it.

We're doing talking about it and a lot more will be necessary, but things are coming along nicely. Smiley

...

I do apologize that it took this  long to really get things rolling, but I have no intention on going back on my word, QORA will be the most amazing project most people have ever seen. Even just compiling a list of ACTUALLY DECENTRALIZED SERVICES that QORA can perform, takes a lot of time, because there are SO MANY!

I truly believe that the true decentralization people will fall in love with QORA, as it is one of the ONLY coins that really truly does EVERYTHING decentralized, for real. No central servers or central authorities over ANY aspect. IT is SO COOL!  I refuse to let such cool tech go by the wayside, and things that have no merit at all come up to the top. So I choose to demonstrate what REAL decentralization is. With the help of QORA.

Anyway, yea... I went on a bit of a rant here, but I think you get my point. Wink

You speak about "DECENTRALIZATION" but isn't POW that you plan to introduce a way to centralization?
I mean what would be the way to avoid the similar power distribution like in Bitcoin
where the Chinese mining pools have the majority of power?

Wouldn't POW lead to the same situation?
Can you give any clarification about this.

Thanks.

Negative, PoW in the way it is planned currently in my head, will not allow miners to mine pooled. Essentially you can think of it as the system being a pool in itself. (If my idea can be fully done this way I'm not 100% sure yet, but this is what I'm thinking...)

1. Miners mine to the network

2. Every bit of hashpower is calculated vs the overall and credited in a similar manner to a pool with the help of a Smart Contract.

3. The Smart Contract then pays the miners based on their overall % contribution of hashpower.

this is one way of doing it that I'm thinking of.

But either way, in the proof of burn concept, there's no point in mining on a pool, unless you want to level up the pool account, as newly created coins are the only coins that can be burned. Therefore, mining to a pool would level up the pool's account, not your own.

We're still deciding on how overall everything will work, but I'm leaning towards either pure PoW with either existing or new algo. The new algo could potentially make it level playing field by only being mineable on CPU with a memory-hard type of PoW.

Alternatively, we could go with something hybrid, PoW/PoS, and allow for both the staked and mined coins to contribute to the levelling with proof of burn.

but no matter what, proof of burn will help the situation, as it will allow miners to get a lower difficulty by burning their coins, allowing them to mine more.

There is still a bit to be figured out, but we'll knock it out.

crowetic, thanks for all you have done. I am really impressed. I love this part especially:
I didn't even hold any QORA to speak of until the polo delist when I bought as much as I could.
I'm literally only doing this because I BELIEVE IN QORA. So I wanted to take on the task of reviving it and making it into what I know it can be.

Thank you. Yes, I prefer working on projects that have real merit. I also prefer working on things that I truly believe in. I am also one of the ones that will pick up something that is going to require REAL work to get going the way it should be. This is my assumption as to why no one else has picked up QORA until now, making the base level things and doing other things we're going to do in QORA, requires ACTUAL WORK. Most people it seems are far too lazy to put any real work into anything. Let alone doing so out of their own pockets.

Not trying to say 'oh look at how great I am' I literally just enjoy doing things like this, working on projects that have good merit, no matter what, and things that require work give me much more of a feeling of accomplishment once completed.

I'm glad to have you along with us for the ride, it's going to be fun. Smiley

QORA has an amazing future ahead. Smiley

Still mining with a few of my cards (about 25 of them anyway), just because I like the idea of this project and like to support the network. I will be holding every coin I mine at least for a few months just to see what happens.

I can potentially also offer some services for the project, but seeing as busy as I am I won't be able to do so right away.

Keep on keeping on BTCZ team, don't let the trolls bother you, this is how things are now in crypto, the people who don't want you to succeed will continually come in with FUD and try to hurt the project. Simply ignore and move on.

Godspeed BTCZ!

-ANNouncement- New Test Version of QORA!

Hello everyone! How are we all doing today? Hope well!

I was informed today by the new QORA main dev (catbref) that he had a new version ready for testing! This is the latest beta version of QORA, and is not an 'official' release of any kind.

What this is, is an option for the community to help beta test the new version, and give their opinions/issues so that we can improve/fix them.

The db issues may not be fully resolved, which is why this is a beta test release.

IF YOU WANT TO HELP US, DO THE FOLLOWING...

Install this version. If you're running windows, please try using the exe and let us know your experience with the newly created installer.

Run and test, do anything and everything you can on QORA, and let us know your results.

Document your logs if you have crashes! This is very important for the development team to be able to accurately pinpoint and resolve any issues. If you don't include your logs with your issues, it makes the chances of them being fixed diminish significantly.

so PLEASE include your logs along with your issues' explanation when posting your reply.

post your reply here and let us know your experience.

Thanks!

Here's another step forward with QORA development. Stay tuned for more very soon!

Thanks for this great news. I am waiting for more. Grin
By the way, I though you were the main dev of Qora. Who is this new QORA main dev (catbref) ? Did he get paid for what he has done?

I am not really a developer. I'm a facilitator and team leader. I also handle infrastructure, some web development, writings, and announcements and community management. I have a very large server infrastructure and I've basically been running the entire QORA network while it is being updated and fixed. I'm a large miner as well, which has given me the money with which to pay the team...

I didn't even hold any QORA to speak of until the polo delist when I bought as much as I could.

I'm literally only doing this because I BELIEVE IN QORA. So I wanted to take on the task of reviving it and making it into what I know it can be.

Of course the devs are being paid, I never ask anyone to do work that I'm not willing to pay for.

I'm doing this for everyone, and out of my own pocket aside from donations that come in, which a few have but not very many.

So yea, that's partially why FUD and trolls coming in here with nonsense talking about myself or my team really gets on my nerves. I'm not doing this for any other reason than I want to, I wasn't even one of the original QORA holders who is sitting on a huge stack of coins. I love QORA's tech, and I believe in the project. So I'm helping it move forward.

If anyone WOULD like to help in the way of donations towards the development team, that would be appreciated, but I've made sure that I have enough to get the project done otherwise I wouldn't have started it.

Only reason it took as long as it did, was trolls and nonsense that attempted to dampen my reputation and hinder my ability to do what I said I would do, for the same reason to hurt my reputation.

But the good thing is, time heals all bullshit, and with enough of it it will be so obvious the reality of the situation, trolls will be silenced immediately by everyone. So I'm not worried about it.

I do apologize that it took this  long to really get things rolling, but I have no intention on going back on my word, QORA will be the most amazing project most people have ever seen. Anyone who wants to buy Qora ,be aware! This coin is not backed by anyone other than investors who don't know sh*t about developing, marketing,in spite of what is written here by people who claim to be on the team.I bought Qora a year ago, strongly BELIEVING in the project and as charts show, the only major thing that happend was delisting of the coin from the only exchange. It is possible that it will be listed again and get pumped to 50 sats, but I will be ashamed to sell it, though make a 5000 % ROI on my $.

That's an interesting point of view, I mean, aside from being 500% incorrect...

if you're interested in speaking with the developers on the team, potentially join any of the communication methods that are totally public, and do ANY amount of actual RESEARCH before coming in and running your mouth obviously without any sort of investigative action whatsoever.

Also, what's the point of posting this, from a newbie account hiding your identity, are you AFRAID?

My opinion... you either got screwed by polo delist, or sold your coins during said delist and are now upset and don't want others to make anything from QORA.

My other opinion... go away, no one cares of your idiotic opinions without any sort of basis whatsoever. Also, potentially LISTEN when people talk, and realize that I said since the beginning, that it would be a slow moving process at first. Also, maybe go talk to the 2 devs on QORA in any of the public communication methods available, and see for yourself if they 'don't know shit  about developing'. As far as marketing, guess you'll just have to wait and see on that one.

Seems to me you're a shill of the fat one, who is so pathetic he can't even confront anything face to face, and has fallen in love with me because I told him what a fat nazi he was when it should have been obvious and apologized to others for ever getting him involved in anything. I admitted my mistakes there, as I do, but I do not intend on making the same mistakes twice. Also, be aware, there are multiple people putting together many far reaching efforts, to expose and put a stop to all of the scam-backing scum-sucking pricks promoting obvious scams to the people who are new to crypto, in order to fill their own pockets with cash. Those people's days are coming to an end. Mark my words.

All of the shit that has been wrongfully said about good people, will become known, and all of the things that have been promoted knowing they were scams will be shut down, all of the people promoting said scams will be silenced, and the world overall will be a better place for it.

I will not apologize for things I didn't do, and I will always apologize for mistakes made and explain them.

QORA, however, everyone will see soon enough, that any naysaying regarding what is going on now, will make you look like a total fool. I know what is going on, and I know the devs working on the core know what they're doing, I know that people like the openness in communication from the team working on things, and I know that the community input being taken seriously will go a long way towards QORA's overall success.

shill accounts coming in posting nonsense like this, only gives me yet a stronger ground to stand on once all the things I am saying become real. Oh, that reminds me, you should go check the recent post I made with a video of the new QORA web UI that I told everyone a while back, was in development. It is very near completion for a 'normal use' basis, and advanced features are being implemented in cooperation with the new main developer. So come talk to me again once the other things I've said are happening, do, and tell me once again how you feel about the team not knowing anything of development.

Move along little shill, your days are numbered. Wink

love, crowetic.

How will the swap occur?

I would like to buy some QORA on openledger because I believe in the project.
I haven't followed it for a bit, but I was a big fan years ago, I really appreciate this "revival" from crowetic.

Hope to see some good news soon ! Wink

The swap isn't fully decided yet, and we still have a bit of time in order to fully figure it out, however, see my post above for my general thoughts on the matter. We cannot overrun the network immediately with newly swapped coins that people will dump immediately, and we also cannot make it so slow that people don't want to do the swap and have no interest in purchasing the current QORA.

So this will have to be thought out very well, relayed to the community, and decided upon.

EVERYTHING in QORA will be discussed prior to work being done, and the work completed will ONLY be announced when it is fully completed. THERE WILL NEVER BE PRE ANNOUNCEMENTS other than announcements of ideas that are to be discussed, then the announcements of the ideas that have come up from those ideas.

This is the idea of decentralization, this is the idea that most people seem to be contradicting with all the things they're doing with pools, services, and whatever else for current coins. This is the thing that QORA will have MASTERED, and no other coin will have nearly as well. If things go as I believe they will, I see no reason why QORA won't be talked about by EVERY hard core decentralization fanatic on the planet.

The power is actually going to be in the hands of the nodes, who will be able to influence portions of the network, content, and the platform itself.

I really believe in QORA's tech, and that it can be used to create something that everyone who enjoys the true idea of decentralization, will absolutely love.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | POS | Assets | Names | Polls | Automated Transactions | Social Network on: November 27, 2017, 03:23:58 AM
@crowetic moving a value from qora v1 to v2 will be in the form of a snapshot blockchain? Will it be spread over a long period of time?  Cool

This hasn't been fully discussed yet, however, I was thinking that you will gain an increasing amount of your swapped coins, as your account's level increases by various contributions to the network. What we're trying to prevent here, is the 'lazy whale' investor, who came in at day one on the ICO, bought a ton of coins, did absolutely nothing to help the coin, the network, didn't even run a node, but yet owns 10% of the overall tokens, then being able to own 10% of the existing tokens on chain 2.

The coin will be dedicated to helping people who help the network. If you have a large chunk of existing QORA, you'll get a large chunk of the new QORA, however you'll have to run a node, mine, and contribute in other ways, good content, etc... in order to get your swap coins quicker.

This is something that I've just barely started really putting together, but you should see what my overall idea is here.

The mining will include a fairly new concept called Proof Of Burn, which will assist in the accounts becoming more influential on the network, as well as allow the miners of the network to further influence the amount of coins that are created in the given blocks that would be representative of a 'QORA year'.

Very interesting. Will Proof of Burn be used like as a "block generation" method like in Slimcoin? I ask because various projects that supposedly featured PoB used it only for the initial coin distribution.

It's, in my opinion, a very under-estimated consensus principle and if it's included in Qora, it would be a big incentive for me to follow it more closely and contribute to the community Smiley

In my idea of Proof Of Burn, which was developed in coordination with a few others over a period of time, it will be used as a mechanism to decrease the overall supply of the coin, and increase the 'level' of the accounts which participate in the burning process. The 'level' of the account, will not only provide you with a higher rate at which you can mine coins (by lowering the difficulty for that mining account) but it will also be used as a metric to 'weight' the account in terms of overall influence. Such as voting, upvoting content, and various other network contributions.

There are still some various 'issues' which need to be worked out, and some thinking necessary for certain aspects, but yes, I wholeheartedly agree that it is a very good method for multiple things. It will also lend itself to making the people who hold QORA accounts, be more likely to have a single account of a higher level, than multiple lower level accounts. This opens the door for much more 'legitimate' voting on-chain, which has little to nothing to do with the overall amount of coins that an account holds, which I firmly believe is a totally inaccurate (and frankly stupid) way to 'vote'.

I definitely think that with the innovations we're planning for QORA v2, which will be after this relaunch of the current version, many many people will find it interesting, and want to come on board with QORA.

Also, the removal of the total cap on the coins, and replacement with a cap on the amount that can be created per x blocks representative of a year or so, will be the perfect method for a totally service-based token such as QORA will become the greatest. Smiley

Thanks for the support!

Thank you. Glad so many people are still following QORA. Soon enough we'll get social media fired back up, and have a few new websites, and some fun additions.

I would like to start having people come up with ideas for the algo of QORA.

I am thinking the only way to do it fully the way I would like to... is to do PoW/PoS hybrid, but with the PoS portion done in a completely different way, potentially via the use of a smart contract that divvies out the coins based on the metrics you're providing with demonstrate that you're helping the network.

The mining will include a fairly new concept called Proof Of Burn, which will assist in the accounts becoming more influential on the network, as well as allow the miners of the network to further influence the amount of coins that are created in the given blocks that would be representative of a 'QORA year'.

I will start putting together a 'white paper' of sorts, which will include as deep into the tech that I personally understand.

We are also starting another Wiki now. Which will contain all details on the using and functionality of the QORA platform.

I will also start putting some effort into the 'image' of QORA and the difficulty of locating necessary information easily regarding the project.

There is much that can be done, and I'll potentially also throw up some bounties for QORA related needs for simple things, so that the community can help out there.

Remember, that the current team, is not the team that issued the ICO, and thus we're all doing this simply because we believe in the project. Thus, donations are going to be very helpful within the scope of the QORA project.

There will be a few donation addresses posted, which will be publicly trackable to ensure the coins are only going where they were promised.

The team we have, knows exactly how to make the QORA goals come to fruition, we are all volunteers that love QORA. We are open to others coming aboard as well, and assisting us in making this the most awesome coin re-birth in history. Smiley

Hello everyone!

We're very close to release on new current version of QORA, we have a new windows installer as well, with more options.

Also, we have this...

ANNOUNCEMENT - A SNEEK PEEK AT THE NEW QORA WEB GUI

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/373547358279172096/382119877491818496/v1QORA_WALLET.wmv

This will be released in the new (current) version of QORA on the 'official' release.

Once this is completed, and everything is stable, we'll be adding new features to incentivize people who contribute positively to the network, then start talking about the additions of QORA v2 and what we'll be doing there.

I for one, am quite excited. Smiley

Finally, something good is happening with Qora.
The new Qora web GUI seems nice. I am sure more people will be willing to have a try.
Thanks for your amazing work, Crowetic.

my pleasure, things moving along quite nicely now. I think we'll have a lot of good surprises in the near future.

here's a rough idea of the plan...

1. continue repairs on wallet stability issues, and release again current version (named QORA v1)

2. add updates to QORA v1 which will incentivize good content creation on blogs and websites hosted on QORA, and also incentivize node running and contributions to the network with various metrics.

*since QORA is 'mined out', likely tokens on QORA Asset Exchange will be used for this purpose, until QORA v2 is launched.

3. Start work on ideas and strategy for QORA v2, with totally new from genesis launch, algo change, etc. Still deciding on many details here.

4. Launch QORA v2 with new mining method

5. Initiate swap program for QORA v1 tokens to be swapped to v2 chain. Will be at 1000 to 1 ratio to lower overall amount of coins by 1000x

6. remove cap on coins and instead implement a cap on how many coins are created per x blocks representative of 1 year. (this is the way a service based token should work, so that there are always tokens to be used for QORA services. Also, a new method of influence created based on burning newly created coins, will be implemented, so instead of rewarding the people with more coins from simply having more coins, they will be rewarded by supporting the network in various ways, as well as burning tokens to lower the overall token creation per x blocks representative of 1 year. This gives the people the power to further influence the amount of new coins that will come into the market per year, and further decentralizes the system's coin creation model.)

There are many other ideas being put together, but I for one, am quite excited with the way this is going, I think QORA will be THE service based token in a short time, no one can compete with the services offered on QORA in any way, and we shouldn't be competing with other coins anyway, this is a market we should be competing with the REAL issues in the world.

Decentralized web hosting a blogs is a GREAT service that will bring many people, and with a network that incentivizes you to help grow and keep the network strong, it is a great pair that will make for a solid platform that will last a long time.

New coins coming out without any features like this and old coins with nothing to contribute overall to the growth of the industry, will die, and coins like QORA, with real features and services that people want and need, will live.

Here's to a great re-birth of a fantastic project soon!

To transfer your MyBitcoinZ CoPay wallet to the swing wallet follow the steps below:

1. Open MyBitcoinZ and go to settings
2. Click your wallet under Wallets & Integrations
3. At the bottom click More Options then click "Export Wallet"
4. It will require you to put in a password, enter a password and select Download
5. Save the .json file somewhere safe
6. Open .json file with notepad

7. Navigate to https://bitwiseshiftleft.github.io/sjcl/demo/
8. Copy and paste .json file contents into Ciphertext box
9. Enter Password into the Password text box
10. Click the "Decrypt" arrow above the Ciphertext box
11. In the box that says Plaintext, find where it says xPrivKey and copy the key - ie, copy the bold portion :: "xPrivKey":"xprv9s21ZrQH143K4AQUJKjefk34jdlfkdf99383kjfkJFwkfjekJkaeipqFKKEM3434"
12. Navigate to https://bip32jp.github.io/english/
13. Copy xPrivKey into BIP32 Extended Key
14. Select BIP 44 k'th account i'th keypair (receive) from the Derivation Path dropdown
15. Typically Account and Keypair Index will be 0, if you've used any but the first public address assigned to you by MyBitcoinZ wallet, you'll have to change this. I'll explain how to figure that out below.
16. Copy the field Private Key (WIF)
17. Open swing wallet, click Wallet dropdown, import one private key and paste the Private Key (WIF) into the input box

If you're not using the first address given to you by MyBitcoinZ wallet
1. All the information is the same except when you navigate to the website in step 12
2. You'll find your Wallet Addresses under "Wallet Addresses" under Settings -> More Options
3. Find the wallet address you need, you'll see xpub/0/1, xpub/0/2, etc. The last number is what you'll put into Keypair index on the website in step 12 which will recover the funds from that wallet address into your swing wallet

THANK YOU, this saved my ass importing from mybitcoinz to bitcoinz-wallet, I really really appreciate it, post a donation address and I'll send you 5000 coins. Smiley

I like your project. Will continue mining. Though I'm experiencing some issues with the MyBitcoinZWallet, been reading a bit here, hopefully managed to export my key into a real windows version just now.

Will reply again with issues if there are any. Mainly just watching the thread now.

edit - yea, the recreate wallet function isn't working, could be DNS caching issue?

still going with the import into node option, seems the network could use some more full nodes anyway, might setup a couple.

Just coming in to give everyone some updates. There is a new beta version being tested of the wallet, there are 2 really good Java developers working on QORA.

QORA will be slow moving, as I've stated many times before, but it will be awesome when it is finished.

Main issue right now is the database, which causes all sorts of instability issues. The reason it hasn't been fixed already, is the mapdb developer keeps  scrapping his new versions of his software.

This made it so we had to decide to maintain our own repo for the version we have now, and repair the issues. This is why we have not re-launched the version 1.0 wallet.

Also, I will put together a new website, and I'm already hosting 5 solid QORA nodes that will not be taken down.

http://node.qora.org
http://node2.qora.org
http://node3.qora.org
http://node4.qora.org

I have full control over every aspect of QORA, including the domain and the main git, and will be continually updating as things progress.

Since there are still a few personal things that is keeping one of the devs a little busy outside of developing, this just means that my prediction of QORA being slow moving at first, will continue for a little while longer.

However, there are MANY great ideas coming up in the QORA discord/telegram, and I have many plans of my own that I would like to present to the team when the time is right.

For now, making QORA wallet stable is top priority. After that, we will talk about exchanges and things like that.

I have spoken to Ronny at OpenLedger, and they will be automating QORA once we can get everything to the point the wallet is stable.

The stability is really the main issue, once that is resolved things can really start moving.

The bottom line here, is if you're an anxious, impatient (typical) crypto person, QORA likely isn't for you. BUT, if you're a person who CARES ABOUT THE TECH, and would love to see something ACTUALLY REALLY USEFUL come into the crypto sphere... then QORA will be something that makes you VERY happy in the future.

For now, the dev work continues on the main issue, once completed a new wallet of the current QORA version will be released.

Then, we will be implementing some features to incentivize assisting the network and putting up good content, and many other things that we're discussing.

In all reality, QORA is very likely to blow people's minds, and confuse the ones that thought it would never go anywhere. That day, I will be quite pleased. Smiley

For the ones in this long term, you will be extremely pleased with the future for QORA, I can promise that. I cannot, however, promise dates of delivery, or any specifics on things until they're completed, as I think doing so is the wrong way to do things.

Thanks!
