I know that there are issues with the pools, I will be throwing bonus payouts at all of the pools due to the downtime issues, please bear with us while we resolve the underlying problems. Thanks!
683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] -NEW BURST OP- MINE ANY FREE SPACE-(HDD MINING)- ATs, AE, P2P MARKET+MORE! on: August 19, 2016, 06:47:35 PM
Looks like ninja stuck. Can someone post here list of all pools on 1.2.6?
DEV v2 pool still on 1.2.3?

dev pool is likely to never be changed again, and will no longer be able to be used, since no one has heard from the original BURST developer in over 1.5 years.

My suggestion would be to forget about dev pool, and move over to a different pool. pool.burstcoin.biz and pool.burstmining.club could use some extra hashpower.

Please do NOT move to ninja, we're in the process of rebuilding the db on ninja's wallet, and fixing some issues in the wallet that are allowing for the forking issues we're seeing now.

I'm aware that it is annoying, trust me, we've spent over a million coins from our own pockets to make sure the pools pay out even if they hit blocks on forks. So we're pretty set on getting this fixed as soon as possible.
684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] -NEW BURST OP- MINE ANY FREE SPACE-(HDD MINING)- ATs, AE, P2P MARKET+MORE! on: August 19, 2016, 06:34:04 PM
And... ninja stuck again on 264166 other Pools on 264170, and no payouts Today. Am constantly missing opportunities to solve Blocks. Please can someone sort this?

Rich

edit - ninja is up running on another wallet while we fix the other one, we have a potential fix and/or at least something that will give the devs more info on the overall issue, that will be put into the wallets as soon as it is available. I believe it should be done by later today if not early tomorrow.

Ninja is back up and running now though.

We are aware of the issues, I suggest moving to another pool, it seems ninja is having the most issues.

The main issue though, is in the wallet, and we're having the core devs fix it, growing pains from switching to multi-threaded.

We're aware of it, for now, switch pools is my suggestion, it seems the wallet issue is more prevalent when on a large pool for some reason.

pool.burst-team.us is setup almost identical to ninja, and it seems to be running just fine, we're currently rebuilding the db on ninja's wallet, but the main issue is an issue in the wallet, which is also being fixed, just need a little time to do it.

apologies for the inconvenience, we're doing all we can.

I'm having some trouble configuring Luxe's miner, does it work even if I don't have a GPU?
Yes, if your cpu supports Open CL then it should work as far as I'm aware of. You just have to point the properties file at the correct Open CL platform and device. On my system (win 10 pro x64) Platform 0 is CPU, Platform 1 is GPU. Device 0 and 1 of Platform 1 are my two gpu's, Device 0 and 1 of Platform 0 are my cpu (detects as 4690k, 4 "computing units" (cores)) and my onboard gpu (detects an Intel HD 4600, 20 "computing units"). If i use any platform and device, the miner works. Cpu, onboard graphics, and both gpu's respectively. If you could, dump your properties files and we can help you out.

After using the pause command on the bat file it was telling me that Java couldn't be run as x64bit but that's weird since my OS is 64bit, I changed it to 32 and it seems to be working now.

To fix this, simply download the 64 bit version of Java, it seems you don't have that installed.

Hi everybody
iīm very new to Burst but interesting project because of PoC-mining. Installed the online wallet and plotted part of my internal disc (198GB) and a part of brand new seagate 4 TB HDD (346 GB) to test mining. Config changed like in the burst forum explanation videos. 198 GB (Desktop) alone works fine, but combined with HDD [Error1007] occured (The deadline for you nonce is really bad, 11.000years). I plotted the drive with the online wallet plotter. What can i do to solve the problem?

Kind regards

I think this is a package deal only sale since he got offers of $2500 for everything already.  Wink

I don't recall him saying that he already got that offer, but if he did, that's great!

[ANNouncement] - NEW ASSET by crowetic, mm, and kitsune of BURST and BURSTKORE extended team.

That is correct, we've decided to bring you another asset, the first SILVER BACKED ASSET on the BURST exchange!

The long term goal of the asset will be to allow BURST users to acquire silver at lower than market value, while at the same time holding an asset that pays out great dividends, better than holding silver itself, which obviously doesn't pay dividends!

Overview and some detail -

Bsilver – The first BURST silver-backed asset

Quick overview – A silver backed asset with mining power in GPU, CPU, and HDD mining, and revenue generated by buying/selling silver coins and crypto trading.
Mining power will be 50% paid directly to holders in BURST after converting from whichever other coin is being mined, and 50% going to the purchase of more silver for the asset.

Initial release will be 500,000 assets at 100BURST each. 1000 assets equals 1 oz of physical silver. Silver can start being redeemed after 3 months of asset running, by sending 1000 assets per oz required to a set account not yet given out.

The amount of assets needed to acquire 1 oz of silver will change as the asset grows, so that the price of the asset can move as well, the asset will continually acquire more silver and mining power to keep the flow going, and will also trade silver, and crypto currencies to give profits to purchasing more silver, and to payout asset holders.

The percentages of the traded money going to payouts and to silver is up to the asset issuer to decide each month, depending on what seems more important at the time. A minimum of 10% and a maximum of 100% of the profits from trading will go to the asset holders, the rest will go towards the purchase of more silver for the asset.

Any questions feel free to ask, and crowetic will answer. Thank you and long live BURST!

ASSET ID – 11249475790449858086
Initial Release amount – 500,000 assets at 100 BURST each

30% of overall asset amount will be split between the asset issuers. Crowetic, mm, and kitsune of the BURST team and extended BURSTKORE team.

More detail can be found here - https://cloud.crowetic.com/s/2dsO3TLzNWmWrvX

both the above document, and a site or forum post that can always be found at http://burstcoin.online (will be active tomorrow) will contain the current asset/silver trade ratio, the amount of mining power dedicated to the asset, and the amount of silver being accumulated into the asset storage.

Any questions feel free to ask. Thanks!

Now this is what I have been waiting for a very long time. An asset that is backed by silver and earn monthly dividends. These won't last long so now is a good time to buy. I purchased as many as I could.

Thank you for your support Smiley

Forgot to mention I think, that the first dividend payout is going to be October 1st unless otherwise noted, we're still getting all the mining power together, and getting the first few batches of coin to do sales with, so it will take a bit more work to get it organized enough and get the solid payout going. But I will state now, that because it will take a little extra time, I promise to throw at least a 500k BURST bonus at the first asset payout, to give more incentive to get in now in the middle of August.

Here's to the future of BURST, and eventually being able to hold silver at lower than market rates, and get a large APR for it! We believe this asset is truly great, and are very excited about its potential.

Thanks for everything BURST community, you guys are amazing!

On another note, there's a large venture getting started in the BURST team as we speak, it will be something that I don't believe any other coin has done, and it will be a business based on a project that will use BURST as its underlying architecture. Then, once we get the decentralized trade portal going (decentralized coin exchange portal) it will allow you to use multiple coins just like BURST to use this service and any other.

This is a very exciting time for BURST, very exciting indeed.

We're working out the remaining forking issues in the wallet, seems to only affect pools, or mostly pools, but we're on it, and once this is done, and the network is super solid again like it should be, we will be launching our worldwide hacker PR campaign, which should give BURST and QORA the attention they deserve for being the pioneer coins in the Smart Contract space, and having the most legit Smart Contract system around. (Thanks to the CIYAM developers.)

I'm looking forward to this with great anticipation Smiley

Can anyone share a copy of the Qora blockchain data? I am having difficulty and sycing the wallet. Thanks

Going to be working on a constantly updated download link for the chain here shortly, give me a little time to get this done and I'll post the link.

@poster above, the roadmap is ready to release, and I'm ready to start the QrowdFunds, we're simply awaiting poloniex to say they're fixed and allow withdrawals.
691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | POS | Assets | Names | Polls | Automated Transactions | Social Network on: August 17, 2016, 10:56:13 PM
a web based wallet would be great  Smiley

Multiple, redundant, hosted online wallets, and also, a web-UI for local hosted QORA wallets. Something similar to what BURST has, but with a more fluid design and access to everything that QORA has, in an easy to find way.

With the hosted wallets, we could provide a simple link to anyone that would allow them to access websites hosted within the QORA network, making it very simple.

Then, the people who want to have a local wallet, which I would love to see more of btw... will also have a beautiful UI, in a web-based setup, that will allow for easy use of the QORA social network.

We will make a lot more use of the QORA social network as well, I've got a new idea I just came up with yesterday, to give people some funds for blog posts, similar to what STEEM is doing, except without their whole 'we're going to lock up your funds in some weird obscure system' approach.

Also, a fully decentralized, bidding system, and spots for advertising being posted, so the highest bidder can win ad spots on various websites, another idea that can be done currently with the Smart Contracts QORA has.

There is so much that can be done with QORA, that simply isn't being taken advantage of, we need to have more usage of the actual wallet, to expand the network, and provide more services on the network that draw people in. Combined with more promotion, press releases about development and services being offered, etc. Will provide us with the way to obtain the amount of users necessary to make the system a success...

There are many others trying to claim they were the firsts with Smart Contracts, the first with social networks, etc... Soon the world will know this isn't true, and QORA and BURST will get the recognition they deserve in the category.
692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | POS | Assets | Names | Polls | Automated Transactions | Social Network on: August 17, 2016, 10:48:14 PM
All we're waiting on right now, is Poloniex to unlock their withdrawals. This is hindering the progress and bothering me quite a bit...

We need to get these guys to unlock their withdrawals, it is obvious their wallet is working... They're the one staking majority of the blocks, which I believe is totally unethical, and they shouldn't be allowed to stake other people's coin for profit... but that's beside the point...

It seems to me they've had the wallet on maintenance for far too long, and it's about time they remove that.

I have written a ticket to them, hopefully they'll respond and resolve this as soon as possible.

As far as the question above, the addresses are all yours, as far as the backup question, I will have to find out on that for you, I just recently got full control over the QORA twitter, and github accounts that I needed, and I don't know every bit of detail for the coin quite yet, so I will have to find out for you.

693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burstcoin | Efficient HDD Mining | !! New 1.2.6 Please Update!! | on: August 17, 2016, 10:36:10 PM
Overuse of larger fonts gives an unserious impression. Larger fonts/colors should only be used when some really important is announced, such as a hard fork. If they are overused, the really important messages are hidden in all the other post with colors/large fonts. Whole post written in such a way are simply counterproductive; a heading in bold should be enough for non-vital information and use real important post to use colors/fonts to get attention.

I really don't see where these complaints are coming from. As far as I can see in this thread, the only post that is in large font, is the one that I made regarding the network issues that can be caused by not updating the wallet. Which I feel is very important.

The only large font announcements that I make, especially in this thread (development), are only made when absolutely necessary for everyone to see.

Please though, anyone posting in THIS thread, please do not post about pools, assets, or anything else. This thread is ONLY for development announcements. The other thread is for BURST related services, assets, etc. Thanks!
694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: August 17, 2016, 02:38:02 AM
The roi seems bad. 25% to 50% a year is horrible. The HDD will take 2 years to be paid back and then only will I be able to make profits. I this right or am I missing something ? I'm going on the bases of 1tb HDD = +-$80 the calculator says it's 1400 burst a week.

You're not looking at it the right way, BURST is about the future, with all of the things we have coming in a short period of time, mining now is good, the rewards are dropping, many new people coming in and offering services, and a LOT more big things coming.

Get in now, and mine coins that go up 1000x in value in the near future, suddenly your ROI has happened 20 times in a few months.

BURST isn't about profit now, not by mining anyway. If you want profit now, you can mine with your existing drives, or buy and sell the coin, but the future, is where you're really going to see the long term goals coming to fruition, and massive increases once we get a few things finished up.

Everything will be public soon.

-[ANNouncement]- QORA idea roadmap complete

I have completed the roadmap for the ideas we're running with right now, and will be posting that shortly. But I would like to wait until poloniex pulls QORA off the maintenance status they have on the wallet right now. Because we're going to need people to be able to withdrawal coins from the exchange, to put them in their local wallets to make use of the QrowdFunds.

So that's what I'm waiting on now, they told me (poloniex) that the wallet is 'down for maintenance', but they didn't give a timeframe on the finishing of this maintenance. So We must wait until that is complete before posting the roadmap and QrowdFund attempts.

Once this happens, I'll post the announcement containing the idea map for QORA, and QORA 2.0.

Apologies for the delay, but it is out of my hands at the moment. The general idea here is to get coins off the exchanges, and back into use on the network. We need people to make more use of QORA features, which is why a UI redesign and a web based pretty wallet are on the list of things to do.

We plan to make much more use of QORA's decentralized web hosting, and WebRTC, and turn it into the internet of the future. Multiple services and such. This is in the roadmap that I will post shortly with the beginning of the multiple crowdfunds.

Thanks!
696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] -NEW BURST OP- MINE ANY FREE SPACE-(HDD MINING)- ATs, AE, P2P MARKET+MORE! on: August 16, 2016, 11:22:39 PM
I recently replotted all my hdd's as I was constantly getting a message from Blago's miner saying my submitted deadline was really bad, like thousands of years.  After replot though, I still occasionally get the message from the miner. Is there anything else I should be checking?  I vaguely recall from launch something around making sure your system time was correct?

Yea, the system time could potentially be an issue, but unless it is years off, you shouldn't be seeing issues with THAT bad of deadlines...

How bad are they?

A potential solution for this I may be offering in the Marketplace soon, a BURST plotting service. That way users with issues on their systems, can purchase plotted drives from me, and/or buy drives and send them to me for plotting, I will do it with one of my high powered GPUs which doesn't take much time at all, then send it back, and/or sell new drives pre-plotted.

All the user would have to do is get an account, and provide me with the numeric public key.

Anyone think this is a good idea for a service? I also may be able to make the stagger max size, I.E. optimized plotted drives.

This along with the announcement of two new assets by myself and a few partners in the team, will make some splashes here soon...

But the biggest thing in the near future, is the BURST Smart Contract Hacker Challenge. I will be posting more details and a PR document that we will want to get out to any and every news agency possible.

I believe I have a hookup to get me into cointelegraph and potentially get an interview as well. I think this will be the time that BURST will see a MASSIVE increase in interest.

This is a great idea for a service! Also curious about the new assets of the team and the Hacker Challenge, let's hope more people will get to know the lovely burst community Smiley

Currently seeking out deals on HDDs, I may have a local hookup on that, through a friend of a friend who owns a pawn shop. The drives he gets at the pawn shop, that are mostly still new in box if he takes them, he would be willing to sell to me at a discount. I'll need to setup a solid plan, but I think that could be the start of the plotting service, and selling drives at the same time.

As far as the Hacker Challenge, we're just waiting until the remaining issues happening in the network work themselves out, since we can't seem to find an issue with the wallet itself... But once we've deemed the network solid enough again, we will be announcing the challenge.

The challenge will be to prove the legitimacy of our Smart Contract system, the same one that QORA has. Once we've proven this, we'll give a demo of the P2P trading portal we're designing (also referred to as a decentralized exchange, but ours can also allow services to be used from other chains direct with BTC and LTC, and any newer BTC core coin.

697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Qora | POS | Assets | Names | Polls | Automated Transactions | Social Network on: August 16, 2016, 04:12:47 AM
Which devs are still working on Qora?

We have 2 of the main devs actively working on QORA, some of the BURST team will likely be helping with some stuff, and two outside consultants with a lot of familiarity with QORA, who will be helping with parts of QORA development, and will also be developing new projects that will work WITH QORA and BURST, and other coins, including BTC.

We have decided on how we're going to be doing the next moves... I will be making that announcement here shortly, along with 1-2 of the QrowdFunds being launched, and will be writing up our ideas for the roadmap at the same time.

There will be a series of QrowdFunds launched for various purposes, as I've mentioned before, and idea of what we're thinking for the future, will be posted in the roadmap as well.

I'll be starting the first of the QrowdFunds either this evening or tomorrow morning, and writing up a general idea of the roadmap we have been planning as well.

I'm very excited about the stuff we've talked about thus far, and I hope the community will be as well. Thanks!

Okay, so as I said, let's introduce my assets ideas :

#1st asset : sports betting

I'll basically convert my sports betting activities in a kind of company. Each win will be redistributed proportionally to the shares.

-PLUS : If I lose nothing bad for the investors, no minimum starting capital
-CONS : No ROI guaranteed

#2nd asset : mining

With funds gathered, I'll buy a GPU that will join my little team. Weekly or monthly, this as to be debated, I'll convert the mining earnings of the little business into BURST and pay it to shareholders.

-PLUS : Very high paying asset as long as the starting capital is good, guaranteed payment since in the worst I still have four high end GPUs as a backup, ROI within less than 3 or 4 months that I'll guarantee with some money put into escrow that will be released to shareholders in case I'm not on time with ROI
-CONS : High funds need to be gathered at the beggining

Guys tell me what sounds best Smiley !

To be honest I like both ideas and I'm not sure which I would prefer but I am leaning more towards the second asset but can you tell us which coin/s you will be mining? and could you tell us how much each asset would cost for asset #1 and for asset #2.

To be honest, I'm already in the process of building a multi-faceted asset around GPU mining, but that's a great idea and it is always good to have competition.

I'm also planning on launching another new asset that has yet to be seen on BURST, or anywhere for all I know... it will be very interesting.

So I would say the betting asset would be more unique, but the mining would be a competitive asset to my planned new one that should be ready in the next few weeks.

Are there any example ATs? I know about Ciyam's website, but I mean more examples for dummies, like fill in each field with this value. I also remember seeing a bytecode compiler so you could program in higher level language I thought, then compile to the code for AT input, but I don't seem to be able to find it anymore.

Any resources related to example ATs or other stuff besides Ciyam website would be appreciated.

We're talking about all of the new ATs that QORA has, including a bidding AT, and an advertisement AT...

Current ATs are those plus the ones listed in ciyam's website, there are more being developed, and will get even more developed once we've finished the hacker challenge.

There's quite a bit of development going on there, and we hope to have the decentralized exchange out pretty soon as well.

So is that a "no"? No additional documentation exists? I swear there was a compiler something before...

There WAS a website with the AT builder, and I'm looking into getting it up and running again, but right now we don't have anyone with the copy of it. I believe vbcs may have it.
