I appreciate that this is a difficult problem to solve and understand that it is costly to make good the losses from your own resources. My concern is not for any short term gains or losses that I might make but more for the image and reputation of Burst that this Forking, which has been ongoing now for over a Month, must create in the eyes of potential new Miners.

We agree, which is why we're also building a completely different pool code that may help with the issues as well. But it is my opinion still that there is some change that was related to the multithreading of the BURST wallet, that caused the problem initially... I'm hoping we can come to a conclusion on this and resolve it post haste... It's also keeping me from doing the big PR that I wanted to... so yes, I agree it's a huge pain in my ass, and is causing a lot of very annoying issues... But there's nothing we can do aside from keep trying to figure out the actual root cause, and fix it. Which is what we're doing. Thanks! |

For some reason I didn't receive any payouts from BytEnt or Bursteam and also I purchased an asset earlier and it is still pending after 4 hours and there are enough BSilver assets for 100 Burst coins. So is the online wallet stuck again?
Were you using the online wallet for all purchases? I've not seen the wallets get stuck in a while... but I've not been around as much the last few days. I'll find out if haitch has seen any issues... What's your wallet ID? Yes I use the online wallet for all my purchases but all is fine now and I received my Burstaker payouts as well which I reinvested back into more assets. Crowetic will you be adding any more POS coins to stake for Burstaker assets? to help build it up some more. Yes, there are plans to build up not only staker, but all of the assets that I manage. In fact, I've got now 15 more graphics cards to add to BSILVER, and I'm purchasing more HDDS as well, I've got 7 rackservers at the house that I'm turning into multi miners, each with 24 physical xeon cores and 64-128GB of RAM. I'll be putting GPUs in them as well, and as much HDD power as possible via USB3 controllers and external drives. The staker payouts include a 20% reinvestment into the coins that are being staked currently. Though, now that QORA is mined out, we'll likely need to switch to another staking coin... any suggestions? In the near future, I'll be making announcements about all of the things I am doing now. Building multiple new miners, etc. The new location I have now thanks to my new position, has industrial power rates, and I've gotten the OK from the CEO to do a mining farm here. He is out of the country right now, so my communication with him is slightly delayed and is done over email mostly, so it is taking a little time to figure out the details... But I'm thinking that I should be able to have my electrician come in and set me up with a few hundred amps of 3 phase power branched off the huge warehouse located in the new building I'm in. Once I do this, I may even offer miner hosting and building services, depending on how much power I can get. But yea, there are multiple plans for expansion on all of the assets, and I'll keep everyone updated as things progress... I did just get another 10 oz of pure silver for BSILVER recently, and another antminer S7 too. So things are growing, just gotta work out a few more details to make sure everything I'm building gets a nice happy space to mine for us.  |

We're open to someone coming in and fixing the issues, by all means! Don't you think that if it were some simple thing to find and fix we would have done it already? We've tried multiple different things... The main problem, is that it cannot be reproduced on a testnet... the testnet ALWAYS works correctly... the only time this happens seems to be when it is live and on a pool... My local wallet hasn't had a single issue on any of my multiple computers. Trust me, we're doing everything we can to resolve the issue, it costs me out of pocket to pay the miners on the pools when this happens, so I have much more of a reason to want it fixed than most... In reality, the miners likely make MORE during these times, so there shouldn't be any issues on the miner's side. We take care of the backed payouts every time, so there are never any losses, and fork mined blocks get paid out too, so in reality you're likely to make more when the pools have issues... This being said... yes, we're still trying to figure out the overall issue that is causing this to happen. When we do, everyone will know. Thanks. |

Question now to the above post, ...seems on the three "ninja" pools all was fine up until Block 270110 where ...D3Q74 had the best deadline with 49 seconds. Then on the US pool DudeDD had the best deadline with 5:15 which should have been better than the one on ninja with 8:36...how does that work in the end? It seems at least that the ninja and eu pools are correct and not forking, what happens now to everything being generated on Burst US? Should I redirect the miners or wait till the problem is resolved?
For all the pools that haitch and I manage, if they get onto a fork, we pay out the mined blocks from our own coin. So there is no need to move your miner, you may actually make MORE than you would have if it didn't fork... However, we believe we have found the solution to the pool forking issue, should be implementing this in the pool wallets soon. Thanks! (In reality, the blocks mined on the fork would have resulted in no payout, but we don't do that to our miners, since the problem isn't theirs, it is ours. But other pools may not operate in this manner. You'll have to check with the pool's owner in specific cases.) |

For some reason I didn't receive any payouts from BytEnt or Bursteam and also I purchased an asset earlier and it is still pending after 4 hours and there are enough BSilver assets for 100 Burst coins. So is the online wallet stuck again?

What is required to get other coins implemented into this project? BURST is a clone of NXT, and carries with it the AE as well, maybe we can put up an asset there as well? (On the BURST AE)

@theduuude did you pledge 1,000,000 qora twice? That is a hefty pledge to match. The qrowdfund is just getting started, no? I'd like the weekend to review some of the posts. Crowetic left a long list to review. I intend to pledge. I will also post bounty pledges where, for example, if someone shows me how to install from source using java I'll pledge 20,000 qora. just 1M...good to see people donating All this activity looks very good for the revival of qora! A bright future ahead of us guys! And with Qora 2.0 coming the mars is the limit  Thank you to everyone who has donated thus far, it is much appreciated! I agree that QORA has a very bright future, is one of the most under-valued coins (along with BURST, which is now picking up quite a bit of momentum), and it will be very nice to see this change soon! I've been thinking about something... let me know what you guys think of this... Just a totally random thought... but... What does everyone think about making QORA 1.0 a merged-mining project with BURST? Making use of BURST's algo, and making the plots compatible, so that you can plot your drives one time, and mine both BURST and QORA 1.0 with the same plots? It wouldn't take anything for extra power, you'd just have to run two instances of the miner until we get a dual miner built. I haven't discussed this with the dev team yet, but I was thinking that it would be a really cool idea... not only would it give massive incentive to mine QORA (to existing BURST miners), because you can mine both coins at the same time (getting extra profit), but it should also provide QORA with a MUCH stronger network... BURST has over 2000 active nodes, and many many more miners, so if we were to do this, I believe that the network for QORA should get to the same size fairly quickly. I'm also trying to figure out the best distribution for when the cap of coins is increased... if anyone has any good ideas about this, I would be open to hearing them! The other thing... people may notice that there is no longer a forging reward for QORA... This means that QORA is fully distributed. All coins are out. IMO this is the perfect time to implement the new algo, and increase the cap. But at the same time, I don't want to introduce a ton of coins quickly, so that the current coin price doesn't get affected much. I'm thinking we do a 2000/block reward and just let it stay that way. Double the coin cap, and let people mine! Let me know what you think about this... like I said, I haven't talked to anyone about it yet, just an idea. Thanks! |

Yes, the forums.burst-team.us is the place to post mining related questions. Yes, some people still post them here, but when it starts taking up a whole page on the forum here, and people starting to tell others in a not-so-nice way how ridiculous they are for posting things like this here, it starts to get out of hand. My deleting of the posts wasn't directly targeted to YOU, it was just to clear up a whole page of nonsense. Sorry if you took offense to it. |

[ANNouncement] - QORA PR and Marketing CrowdFund started!
Hello everyone! We have launched the first CrowdFund for QORA, for Marketing and PR!

This is the first CF of multiple that we will be launching for QORA. We will launch them in groups of 1-2 at a time, I think I will also launch one for Development at the same time as this one. To see which direction people would like to see more focus on at the beginning of this big transition.
Also... We are going to be redesigning the way QORA hosting works in 2.0 version, making it encrypted so that illegal content is solely on the hands of the person who uploaded it and broke the terms of service.
So, this lead us to thinking about what could be done to make more use cases for QORA 1.0, and we are thinking we will likely turn it into a decentralized news hosting location. Make it limited on the number of accounts who can actually upload content (until we get to QORA 2.0) and give big news agencies upload accounts, allowing them to decentralize their news content. This is one idea.
Also, we have many ideas for the improvement of the QrowdFund platform, I'll give details on this a bit later! I believe it will be a completely new way of looking at CrowdFunds and management of them, and keep from having the issues of people starting them and not completing the jobs they started them for (thus scamming the people who donated to it.) I think it is a great plan, and it should work out great!
QORA 1.0 will be an exclusive gateway to 2.0, with the holders of 1.0 being able to donate coins and obtain one of the first 'mining accounts' on QORA 2.0. QORA 1 will also function as a gateway to poloniex through the power of ACCT, and will be focused on the QrowdFund platform and making QORA 1 into a service for decentralizing news content. With 2.0 being the one that anyone can use for decentralized hosting, as the data will be entirely encrypted, and able to be put responsibility solely on the person who uploaded the content. In the current system that isn't the case, so the worry of illegal content being on other user's computers if someone breaks the terms and uploads illegal content, is an issue.
One more thing... I have been offered a position at a company as their lead IT, I will have a lot of freedom there to continue running my company and the projects I am, so that won't be a problem, but during the first week or so I will have a lot of work to do there, thus I won't be quite as active here. Only for the first week until I get everything straightened out completely, then I will be able to calm down and put my 100% focus back to the projects here and my own company. I've already been given keys to the building, and my own office there, this was totally unexpected, but it should give me more income and still about the same amount of free time that I have now with just running my company and the projects we're building.
I'm only saying this so that if I'm not quite as active for the next week or so, you all know why and you don't assume that I've disappeared.
Anyway, feel free to continue giving your opinions on what we should be doing with everything.
As far as the person who suggested that the switch to a mined algo is good, but to make sure that we don't over saturate the market with new coins.... I completely agree. We will make sure that we don't introduce new coins in super quick fashion, and make sure that the introduction of them is done in a way that the current price will not be negatively affected, while at the same time giving the network the boost in power that it needs.
We will also make sure to provide as many use cases for QORA 1 as possible, while at the same time providing others in QORA 2.
We're still open to suggestions and ideas, so keep them coming!

Are you guys increasing the Qora coin supply? Where are the PoW fees coming from?
Yes, this is currently what is being suggested. While at the same time providing multiple new reasons to make use of QORA, as a gateway to traditional exchanges, etc. Also, QORA 1 should be a great 'exclusive gateway' to QORA 2.0. Thus far the discussions about the change in algorithm have lead to the same conclusion, that increase of the coin cap is the way to make this happen. Though, we're open to other suggestions if people are against this idea. Personally I don't think it would be a big deal, and it would allow QORA to continue, in a mined system, and re-build the network quicker. But as I said, we're open to other suggestions if there are any, fire away! |

looking at the buy/sell on poloniex there is a ton of people dumping at just a couple satoshi higher. seems like not long term holders
yes mate this project should be a long hold to make if you really wants to make profits it is a project that allow us to see the value and usage of this coin, i think more investors will come if they seen the progress and start to invest with us. Im holding what little i have long term just keep holding might dev will bring us some updates and see how that will reflect to the price for sure this is a good project for everyone who's have patience to wait. I agree and I would like to add that crowetic is one of the best and most trusted devs i know Thank you. I greatly appreciate that. I do my best to keep a spotless record, and thus far it has proven successful. I will continue to do this when I bring anything and everything I can to QORA. Been testing out the blog and web hosting on QORA, this really needs promotion, it's so cool! Also, I've noticed a strange issue with the peers. Wallet tries to connect to multiple peers all day, but seems to get stuck with only 2, and these two are on 0.25.1 version of QORA... makes me wonder if the settings issue I was having with 26 version is an issue. I'll be bringing this up to vbcs and seeing if there's a workaround we can implement while development continues. |

Hi Mike,
I have about 450K of XQN. I will donate 100K of XQN for future development or promotion whatever you find it as fit to use it. Please post the community address when it's ready. XQN is great project and it will require time and love to make it to work. For short term we can try to get as much as we can off the market and slowly increasing it's value.
