The aspect of purchasing drives is only for the bold at the moment, that's true, but I firmly believe once we've implemented our changes the coin's value will increase quite a bit and buying drives will be something that everyone will want to do. We also have other plans for that within a whole other idea I'm not presenting publicly yet. The OP looks great IF the pics ever fully load, but we're having another done without as many pictures as we speak I should have that up by tomorrow latest if not later today. The outdated links will soon be updated when we release some new releases I'll make new how to videos using the new stuff, as well as writing up some new guides. We have been a lot more focused on the back end, but the time is coming VERY soon that we will focus on the front, and the public aspect. Sure, most things are unfair - and I'm not even sure things should be fair. Still, PoS is the worst design of PoW, PoC and PoS. And PoW has to go.
lets agree to disagree  i think a POS POC hybrid first of this kind would be sexy who know maybe i will make this happen on one of my projects I think agree to disagree is great here, if you guys want to argue with someone, find some big bankers and argue that our platforms, whether PoC or PoS or whatever it may be, beats the current systems in place by a whole freakin' lot, THAT is where we should put our argument focus. Here, we're in CRYPTO, no matter the coin you choose, we're TOGETHER in this 'fight' against the antiquated systems we have. Well, it seems no matter what I try bitcointalk refuses to load all of the images every time on the OP...
Let me know if anyone else has this issue... I think I'm going to have the amount of images lowered. No way around it I can see. Sucks though I really liked it with all the images when they loaded correctly.

Or could the site even be part of the burst-team.us hosting arrangement? I would be glad to take over the hosting of the site, and also remove all the nonsense they have added that slowed the site down considerably. I must say that BURST feels very different now than just 6 months ago, like money isn't stopping the development. Has an angel visited the BURST HQs? Shoudn't be any different than plotting/mining any other drive, map a network drive then follow normal tutorials. Not sure if the GUI will use net drives I've never tried. If you need help doing it manually I'm sure you can find things on forum.burstcoin.info, there will be a lot more how to type stuff coming out shortly, we're building from the ground up. |

I think what ETH dev is doing is a complete disgrace, and he will continue to show his true thoughts on his OWN PRODUCT by doing things such as this... Answer me this...If he thought his coin was so great, why in hell would he dump such amounts at once? Why not use the hdd space for something useful, like website hosting? That would be a coin i could get behind.
Burst is mined by hdd, it works with precalculated hashes, stored on hdd. It's NOT pay rewards for sharing space. It is useful, to store hashes, because you only calculate them once ... not 24/7. That is true. Whereas Bitcoin and other PoW coins waste a hefty amount of energy, Burst gives a better advantage by being energy efficient. It also opens ways for an average Joe to get started mining in minutes with just a HDD without the need to buy expensive ASIC mining equipment. But still, it would be great for Burst to have data cloud feature. Since Burst is based on NXT, I think that this could be implemented (since the latest version of NXT already has this) Check it out here: https://nxt.org/what-is-nxt/data-cloud/ Sure it could be implemented (did something like that already), the NXT Data-Cloud is based on their blockchain. BURST can store 1kb per transaction, thats currently 255kb per block and 92MB a day. Some of that get lost by headers. Storing data on BURST blockchain is currently a lot cheaper than on NXT :-) Easiest way would be, to convert binary data to characters and split them in 1kb big parts ... now you can send every single part as transaction. Just send the last part first and remember transactionId, add that transactionId to the second last part, and so on ... In the end you will only need to know the 'root' transactionId to load your data back out of the blockchain. You could of give us some notice of this action! A few days to switch over would have been nice, found my miners practically idle and had no idea why.

To smaller miners, please move your miners to the new pool where the deadline limit is much higher to see better returns.
Since ninja has mostly large miners, we have decided to separate the pools more and make it more of a differential setup. The ninja pool will now be setup for larger miners and dedicated to servicing them, and the new pool (http://pool.burst-team.us) a clone of ninja with different settings, will be there for the smaller guys to maintain better income than they would on ninja, and also further decentralize the network, thanks! |
