81  Economy / Gambling / Re: ◥◤ NitrogenSports.eu ◢ UFC FIGHT NIGHT NY | JUL 22 ◣ The Future of Betting ◥◤ on: July 22, 2017, 02:02:46 PM
Regarding the latest BIP announcement on the site, didn't Nitrogen allow confirmation free deposit credits to account, and only requiring confirmations before the player was allowed to withdraw. And can someone explain why does the BIP introduction require 6 confirmations now ?
82  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it worth using bitcoins anymore for gambling ? on: July 22, 2017, 01:58:38 PM

I know that bitcoin is still worth to gamble but the USD exchange rate in our country is high making Bitcoin
for me too expensive for me to gamble and also Bitcoins price is increasing preventing me to risk any losses, and I
already have altcoins to gamble without worrying too much if I lost it or not. Maybe I'm just being paranoid
but being worried while gambling affects my decision making.

Bitcoin or altcoin. It has been the same thing. Both of them have been highly volatile and not a good thing to gamble with, specially if you follow strict bankroll management.

I think bitcoin  is not worth it to gamble. I treat bitcoin as a precious coin since it's quite expensive. I see bitcoin has a potential to increase its price bit by bit in future as the demand increases as time goes by. I think it would be better if we'll use bitcoin for trading na investing so we can take advantage of time.

If you use bitcoin for trading(altcoins), it is still the same dilemma.Unless you mean just trading bitcoins.
83  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it worth using bitcoins anymore for gambling ? on: July 21, 2017, 03:21:18 AM
i think there's should no issue about your bankroll management even bitcoin value keep fluctuating because your base is your bitcoin money
so you can still manage the amount of your bitcoin to bet and you can still enjoy the only thing that i'm thinking is when you are buying bitcoin
so it will be hard when you buy it with high value and withdraw it when the value fall down.

But the real world value isn't in bitcoin but in fiat. When I wish to use that money I would eventually be converting it to fiat and will be risking volatility to destroy my bankroll or perhaps make it more. But either way, it becomes a gamble.
84  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much money will the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor fight make? on: July 21, 2017, 12:48:00 AM
I think the whole fight will generate $1,000,000,000 (1 billion) in revenue just for the fighters themselves.
This fight has been hyped even more than the Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight and they have taken it global now!
In the Pac vs May fight, they didn't have this much presscons. It was much simpler than this.
Right now it's like a show already just watching the prefight face offs. This really results in a lot of hypte.

Holy &^&% Just read a news article and this is actually true. Not from this sole fight, but they will be earning close to 1 billion by just these fights https://www.forbes.com/sites/kurtbadenhausen/2017/07/13/floyd-mayweather-career-earnings-could-hit-1-billion-with-mcgregor-fight/#349c30ba17d2

Do the players earn from the betting industry as well ? Or just sponsors ?
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: July 21, 2017, 12:41:41 AM
Waves increasing again  Cool
No stopping this time!

I feel they are highly linked with the bitcoin price. Only rising because bitcoin is rising, and they will fall again just like last week if bitcoin is ever to go down. I still dont understand the use case of waves except for the waves platform.
86  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NEXT GAME IN 8HOURs -Sportstips - Basketball/tennis/soccer🔥Wins 122- Loss 26🔥 on: July 21, 2017, 12:31:27 AM
Another great solid win yesterday Smiley Hope you guys followed and made some money.

Going with this for today. Not a high odds game, but should be good.

Atletico Goianiense v Sport Recife - Sport Recife ML

Betslip for Reference

We are running good so far on the past few picks. WWWWLWWWW

Good luck!

SportsRecife is already up 3-0. Really nice win on this. Just came online and missed this. Will definitely be watching your other plays if you have any for today. Do you have a twitter handle where I can get timely notifications ?

I followed the thread, but don't seem to be getting any emails about posts in this thread.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Is it worth using bitcoins anymore for gambling ? on: July 21, 2017, 12:29:10 AM
I feel my bankroll management and savings all are highly unstable. Can go up or down by storing money in bitcoin to gamble. Some form of betting like poker requires good bankroll management and with value changing everyday, I don't see bitcoin as a good use for poker players and sportsbettors.

88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can someone explain the trend of bitcoin casinos creating altcoins ? on: July 21, 2017, 12:26:15 AM
maybe they need held ICO for make their gambling site better
but it's good for investors at ICO too they will get divided profits from their casino

Doing the math behind operations and the commisions they have been charging, it should be more than enough for a good pay plus any pay for running the day to day operations. I don't think thats the sole reason behind it.
89  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: July 21, 2017, 12:24:38 AM
Its never late to buy bitcoin. Its just about the risk and reward if the price goes up or down. As for August 1st, it is likely price will decline before that but not after that. It is because some people would fear the split. But again, it is not likely going to happen. We have strong holders these days.

Sad to see these scammers scamming on slack. It is getting common on all and all ICOs. Can't ICO developers just invite people instead of opening a free entry ?

I am sure it will prevent new accounts to join who would scam.
91  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can someone explain the trend of bitcoin casinos creating altcoins ? on: July 13, 2017, 09:41:35 PM
Do you think about DAO and BetKing? Many people are interested in this, or they just spamming to get tokens from bounties. My facebook page is full with people that advertise this two ICO`s, and many others of course.
BetKing was a good site, I even participated in their signature campaign a long time ago. Dean is honest guy, he had many chances to run away with big money, but he always return funds if something is not right. He is a guy worth to be followed, and as I saw that he is making a much better casino, with more games, I saw plans for poker and sports book, all that looks very nice.

Yes these are examples I am talking about. Yeah plans and all look good but why not just accept investments the usual way ?

It's pretty smart acutally, especially if they do a profit share based on how many of their tokens you hold.

I am not too sure about that. When they offered investments, they had a pretty huge amount invested. Now its much smaller so far in the presale. Still doesn't answer my question.
92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Can someone explain the trend of bitcoin casinos creating altcoins ? on: July 13, 2017, 08:22:46 PM
Till date all the casinos which have wanted to raise money or have an invest feature used to do it by launching a casino accepting investments in bitcoins and charging a commission on bets.

But now I see casinos like  creating an altcoin, accepting investments and issuing tokens to be traded on an exchange and keeping all the money raised upfront in the ICO.

Isn't that scammy ? Why can't they just accept bitcoins as regular investments ?

93  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling percentage of the crypto-economy? on: July 13, 2017, 07:24:57 AM
Its probably a big chunk of it. But impossible to figure it out. I believe the gambling subsection on this forum is the biggest part of the forum, and hence it probably implies that most of the people introduced to bitcoin do end up gambling some for the fun of it.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] [WGR] | Wagerr | The Betting Blockchain | Bounties on: July 13, 2017, 07:22:28 AM
Why is it that whenever I look at the order book. It seems to be artificially inflated ? I have been observing the price for the past few days. The buy price and sell price have 30% difference between then. Whereas on other coins its like 5% at the most.
95  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: July 11, 2017, 01:44:43 PM
Any chance you guys could reduce your deposit confirmations required for waves ?

20 is absurd. Other sites usually do it in 2-3 at the most. I hate having to wait for 40 mins like bitcoin confirmations just to be able to sell during a price drop.
96  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Monster Byte - UFC 213 ICO Giveaway - Win MonsterByte Tokens! on: July 10, 2017, 09:12:10 AM
Is this going to continue for next week ? And, how is this different than this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2005864.0 ?
97  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NEXT GAME IN 8HOURs -Sportstips - Basketball/tennis/soccer🔥Wins 122- Loss 26🔥 on: July 10, 2017, 09:10:43 AM
Tailing this. I definitely agree Berdych is better at grass and earlier this season Thiem lost on grass Ramanhatan and Haase. Should be 2 straight set win for Berdych on this who also lost at the same thing last year in the finals, but won't happen this time.
98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Switching to Etherum on: July 10, 2017, 08:02:31 AM
I considered this at the time Directbet was here. But it actually makes no difference to me. Why bother switching when most of the best and safest sites don't accept altcoins ?

I find bitcoin a problem only when I am depositing or withdrawing where I end up paying a 3$ fee.

Wow the selling has been huge on this. The buy walls at the 2000 satoshi level have almost disappeared.

I don't think there has been any news about this being listed on any exchange yet except for dex ?
