81  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this true or some superstitious believe about gambling? on: May 15, 2024, 09:26:06 AM
I boarded a bus going home from the bank yesterday, then I remembered some football match had few minutes to kick-off then I brought out my phone from my pocket to place some bet, immediately I opened the bet app a man sitting next to me, tapped me and said that gambling is Satanic and I should desist from it, at first it sounded so funny and made me laugh but with a serious face he further said that it's manipulated by demons and that's why the house would always have the higher edge.

But it's not something magical, the house indeed has the higher edge. It's openly declared on each gambling site. But yeah, I understand why the guy has never visited a gambling site - the Demons!

He said he used to be a gambler but stopped when he discovered that and that there are demons helping the casino and sport betting owners to manipulate people into becoming addicted and getting more money from them, they give to selective people knowing fully well more people would lose and they'll gain back what they lost when more bettors lose the old man made it sound real but I don't believe that, i think he's lost too much in gambling before he stopped and is looking for anyway no matter what to discourage people from being like him or he's just being too superstitious. What's your opinion about this please?

The house edge works through mathematics. Does the old man think that mathematics is ruled by demons too? It think it's very likely that he does. I personally don't think that "he's lost too much in gambling" because to lose too much you must have it first, and I think what this old man lost is his mind, a long time ago and not because of gambling.
82  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever done something crazy to bet? on: May 15, 2024, 08:35:21 AM

I have never followed this game because it is not easy, but watching it looks quite interesting because those who fail will be ridiculed or cursed with derisive words.

Yeah, it's not necessary to play yourself to enjoy a game. I for one like watching poker games on YouTube and sometimes it's really exciting to see how someone is bluffing or calling a bluff. I think someone's hero-calling a bluff is more exciting actually. It's crazy in a way to watch a poker tournament for many hours, but that's what I'm doing sometimes.

~
~
Now, the game used to be this way, you are supposed to pick one or multiple pictures and place your bets on them, once all the bettors have placed their bets, the person managing the board would roll the dice, and the picture that comes on the top side of the dice would be the winner, and those who placed their bets on that picture will win. Winnings used to be dependent on the amount you are betting, but it usually used to be 2x of the amount.

That's a purely luck-based game, as far as I can tell. And I have always been convinced that in our game some skill was needed to win more. But now I think, maybe I was wrong and like yours it was just a purely luck-based game.
83  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 Official Partner of Newcastle United Football Club on: May 15, 2024, 08:02:10 AM
Pretty crazy that Sportsbet is into poker now -- you seldom hear of an online gaming brand then venturing into physical. It does happen the other way around, and a crypto brand at that! Just looked at the live stream of Day 1, Event #1 25K NLH -- never going to get bored seeing Sportsbet everywhere!

Wow! Thanks for the link, @buwaytress! I think I know what I'm watching tonight.

When I first saw your post I went to Sportsbet.io immediately to look for poker tables, and after not finding any, went back here to read you post further. So, it's a link to the live stream. Amazing! Just can't wan't wait when I can start watching it!

I remember playing poker on Sportsbet.io several years ago. I even remember winning some good prizes in a Sportsbet.io sponsored tournament. Those were the days!

Good morning,
all people are different. You can't form an opinion about other people based on just one example. I'm not encouraging you to trust people "pretending to be a good friend", but don't think bad of them right away. Give them a chance.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Metaplanet Makes Bitcoin a Reserve Asset As Japan’s Debt Mountain Grows on: May 14, 2024, 01:30:28 PM
Metaplanet Inc is up 3.33% currently:

I'm wondering was it because of their decision to adopt BTC? Anyway, it's delightful news that Metaplanet chooses Bitcoin to be an ”strategic asset for treasury reserve“. I read in one place that Metaplanet considers that Bitcoin is superior to any other currency. I think they are doing the right thing. I think more influential people should see this recent tweet by Michael Saylor:

It would help them to make the right decisions.

Hi guys, I am 19 years old and know a lot about finance (ETFs, funds, crypto, stocks, commodities)
I have been Bitcoin swing trading for a year and I am still not profitable. I would like to be self-employed as an investor or trader after my IT education. Does trading really work in the long term to be profitable?

You have a good education, try to make money with it. I've said it many times, trading is like gambling and thus it shouldn't be your main source of income.
87  Other / Off-topic / Re: Reborn and returned to the past, I want to buy Bitcoin! ! on: May 14, 2024, 12:11:38 PM
What a wonderful discovery. I read novels these days, of course, all of them are popular novels. The protagonist of the novel is reborn, and he or she changes his or her life. In the past, the ways to get rich were all related to stocks, lottery tickets, real estate, and computers. Now there is Bitcoin figure. These indirectly prove that Bitcoin has been accepted by most people and .

Not by most people yet, but by a fair number definitely. It's a pleasure indeed to see Bitcoin mentioned in pop culture. And its future is getting brighter and brighter, I agree with that.
88  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do you believe soup is good for your health? on: May 14, 2024, 11:37:43 AM
Caldo de Res, Mexican Beef Soup

Soup is at the top of the food list for many of us, but many of us do not know how healthy or dangerous it is for us. In many cases, it is very tasty and very beneficial for health and there are some people who are physically ill. For them, soup may be an uncomfortable subject for many people for this reason. They refrain from eating soup because they think it is too dangerous for their health. But I think there are many types of soup that are beneficial for many people's health.

Soup is a great thing to eat and I do believe soup is good for your health. I like eating it and I like making it too. Yours looks very good I must say. It looks very similar to what I make myself. Bon Appétit, my friend!
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accumulating Bitcoin or trading Bitcoin which is more wise to do. on: May 14, 2024, 11:16:24 AM
Both.

One must write a business plan first then stick to it. Remove emotion from the equation.

Just like gambling people get wrapped up in emotions and make the exact same crappy decisions.
~

Even if someone is not an expert in technical analysis, he/she can trade and earn some money from it. By chance, I mean. So, trading should be treated as gambling in that case. So, don't put at risk a bigger amount than you can afford to lose and trade how much you want. Enjoy the process, learn something from it, but don't try to make money with it because you can end up with losing a lot because of your high stakes. Accumulating Bitcoin, on the other hand, never hurts.
90  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: May 14, 2024, 10:30:56 AM
I want to participate so badly, and each time I hope I will be able either. But in fact I'm not able to participate. All picks have been closed for me after I tried my luck one time. Maybe it's just a one-off event and no more tries should be available to those who participated once already?

Hey Betwrong !

Few minutes ago I have opened duelbits and saw that prediction picks are open. Hurry up Cheesy I suppose they open predictions day or two before the event. While selecting, they offer various options and % chance that the selected result will happen. Rather cool option; very helpful for those who are not familiar with fighters and dont want to make it random.

Yes, I saw it, thank you! I used that opportunity and another one today too. But I must say, you have to be fast while making your predictions because suddenly it interrupts and this message appears:

and you're redirected to a blank page. But with reloading the page and making my selections again I finally managed to submit them. This error happened again a half second later

but as I see my submissions were accepted

So, wish me good luck, and good luck to you, my friend @TopTort777!

91  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Max Win is the worst thing that could happen to you. on: May 14, 2024, 09:29:37 AM
~
Yeah you're right it sounds funny, most individuals dream is to win very big from whether they gamble for fun or whatever reason, if people are afraid of getting a max win, should they rather be happy to get max losses, no I don't think so. There's this joy that comes with winning a jackpot because it's rare, especially when the saud individual who wins is a poor or an average one.

You can't be rich enough to not enjoy the max win or Jackpot, it's always a great pleasure for everyone. The problems associated with the win, be it KYC or the obligation of sharing the winnings with someone, are laughable, to be honest. After all, the worst thing that can happen is that you won't get your prize or a part of it, but you won't end up in the worse conditions than before, unless you will harm yourself intentionally.

94  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much of my salary should I use to gamble on: May 14, 2024, 08:31:12 AM
Gambling is becoming a popular thing in my locality almost everyone gamble and even colleagues gamble and engage in gambling related discussions at work,  so gambling is legal and very popular so there is no Shame in using part of a salary to gamble with that is why I am asking the question of what the right percentage from my salary that I should use to gamble?

My answer is 5%. This is a right amount if you want to really feel what gambling is. If you will start gambling you'll notice that it's impossible to stick to this restriction all the time, sometimes you'll break it, but don't go off the rails too much. The max you can spend on your gambling, if you are a sane person, is 10% of your monthly salary. It will be painful and you will feel it, and you will be swearing to never repeat that again, and maybe you'll bang your head against the wall a couple of times, but you will not die from it, and you will be able to say ten years later "I've been enjoying gambling for 10 years and I'm alive!" Smiley
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: May 14, 2024, 07:59:53 AM
~ so gambling is definitely harmful to people may be
I think the statement is not complete, as it ought to have been "Gambling is definitely harmful to people who gambles with greed" and not who just gamble, because if greed is cut off, you will notice that there have been lots of people who through gambling have been able to afford the life of there dreams. Hence, making gambling a game to venture in when ready to take full responsibility of our actions. Because there will always be mistakes, but our ability to minimize it is what matters a lot from goointo bankruptcy.

I totally agree with this. Gambling is not harmful the way heroin is harmful, like you can literally destroy your life after just couple of tries. There are people, and I'm one of them, who have been enjoying gambling for years(10 years in my case) and and their lives weren't destroyed or anything. Just tame your greed, guys, be content with what you get, that can save you from a lot of frustration.
96  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Stake F1 Team on: May 14, 2024, 07:31:14 AM
I have been playing casino/slots for years and I think the provider that offers the highest multiplier is No limit City with multipliers up to x300000 but in fact I was wrong, I just realized that Stake.com with inhouse games offers crazy multipliers over 2,000,000 multipliers on the Mines game. last week one of the users in the chat room posted it and he won a multiplier x2,022,545 and I was even more surprised to find out that this was not the highest record because the highest record is x5,148,300 yeah maybe this is the max win because 3 users got it.

Yes, I remember when I learned about it first time several years ago I was shocked by how much you can win staking so little. There was a site where you could calculate the potential multiplier based on the number of mines and diamonds, but I don't remember the name. Yet, I just googled it, there's another such site currently, https://playonstake.eu/stake-mines-calculator.html, and here's how it works:

Yes, the highest multiplier possible is 5,148,297. I'd love to see the screenshots of people winning with it.

99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please, I urge you to buy bitcoin! on: May 13, 2024, 02:44:38 PM
~ But if, by some miracle, that happens, the price of 1 BTC can be indeed over $1 million, as some optimists predicted years ago. Those who seemed crazy even by some members of this community will turn out to be right. To be honest, I personally can't wait for that to happen.
1 btc could be $1 million but that would be a long wait, doubt anyone would have the patience to hold until then. But for those who are patient enough to hold Bitcoin until then, it will definitely be good and profitable. I myself encourage everyone to invest in Bitcoin for the long term if anyone has the ability to invest for the long term.

Yeah, holding up to that point would be hard indeed. I bet most people will cash out when BTC reaches $600k or something. I think I will be one of them even, to be honest.

~
~Have you ever thought of the reason why Gold has such a huge market capitalization but maintains a low price?

OMG, no, the price of gold is not low, it's overpriced big time, I'm telling about this all the time.

~ It's because it was well-planned from the beginning~

I really doubt that. Planned by whom?

In short, Bitcoin can reach $1 million, I believe in that, and it will not cause any economic or any other catastrophe for the world.
100  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✨ BITCASINO - Elevate Your Gameplay 💎 #1 VIP Crypto Casino ✈️ on: May 13, 2024, 02:14:41 PM
So, I went to Bitcasino a couple of days ago and I saw this unbelievable stats

for Bitcasino Sweets. The slot was taking the first place among Highest RTP games with the impressive 2,705% RTP for the last 24 hours. So, I decided to play it a bit. During my play I was enjoying my small wins

and as always amazing animation, but regarding 2,705% RTP, no, I didn't feel it, to be honest. 200%, maybe, but not 2,705%. Smiley

But today I went to play my Favourite, the one and only Bitcasino Billion, and it was a little bit different story. After some pretty nice wins

with which I was already content, I rolled 4 of these winged wads of cash

and won 10 Free Spins with that. And then thanks to this pickaxe that gave me 100x of my win during the 6th spin

and even more of these pickaxes that appeared along the way:

I won a pretty nice amount of 1.38 mBTC, which was 288x of my bet:

Well, that was even more than 2,705% RTP I must say. Smiley
