82  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it advisable for a beginner to invest in a newly launch project? on: April 29, 2024, 08:23:14 AM
One of the worst things is to think that an increasing value means that the currency is a good or better investment in it before its price rises too high.
This is the main trick that scammers do, they appeal to your greed, and if you are greedy enough, you may not realize that the project is a scam despite all the evidence that shows it.

You are right, but even if there is no scamming involved, it is still not advisable to get in on an asset that has its value going up, we call that FOMO and we know how dangerous that can be. Newbies often make this mistake, as soon as they see a few green candles in a chart, they feel it is an opportunity for them to secure some profits, and they jump right in without doing any research or analyzing the market and how that particular asset has been doing in the past, they get blinded by greed and then pay the price for it.

The price of that asset starts dropping sharply right after they make an investment and they don't even get enough time to sell their assets back with a small percentage of loss, and since they are new in trading, they don't know what a stop-loss is.  Roll Eyes

So, for any newbie entering the market with the mindset of earning a lot of money, it's important for them to know that knowledge is the first step they need to take.

84  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRADERS are not UNEMPLOYED on: April 28, 2024, 10:09:10 PM
It depends from person to person and whether a trader is actually making money consistently or not. A lot of people don't take trading as a full-time gig, they do it part-time and want to earn an extra income with it. It's only some traders who are in it full-time and they don't do it for fun or to earn a few bucks every day or week which isn't enough for them to live their life off of it.

A person who gets into trading with the intent to make an income from it, would need to have a sum that is good enough to generate decent profits for them if they do day trading because the amount of profit depends on the amount of money you are using for the trades. After all, 10% of $100 is $10 but 10% of $1,000 is $100. So the capital makes a difference.

Other than that, one needs to have a general interest in trading to be able to earn money constantly from it because if you are forcing yourself to get into it, you will barely be able to gain enough knowledge and without enough knowledge, you won't reach your target.
85  Economy / Economics / Re: Harmful effect of robot to the world. on: April 28, 2024, 09:57:34 PM
My concern actually same what happen with human later most the media news said that new job will emerge but in the world with AI robot and quantum computer I dont know if human would be needed

Whoa! That's a bit too extreme, I'd say. You are simply overthinking it and making it sound like a problem too big which it isn't. It's real life and not a movie where robots and Artificial Intelligence take over the human race and want to have and control the world by themselves. That is only possible in fiction and not in reality because in reality, robots require maintenance, artificial intelligence doesn't operate by itself but it requires data to operate and it's us who do all that work for those machines and programs to work properly.

So, don't think that humans won't be needed in the world if there are robots and AI models because these things don't have a brain or have the ability to think and then act but they act based on codes and commands and this can't work forever. If that is ever going to happen, the world will end because there can't be a world if there are no humans in it.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No risk no gain on: April 28, 2024, 08:28:59 PM
You can't tell someone that something you saw on the internet is good and that they can earn money if they invest in it and expect them to believe in whatever you say. A person needs to have a complete understanding of that thing before they can even think about it. I'm not sure if you had your brother understand what Bitcoin is before you suggested the investment or you just jumped to it because one would never agree this way unless they are walked through the process and are told every single detail about it beforehand.

Besides, as said by other members, why didn't you go ahead and make your investment without involving your brother if you had some belief in Bitcoin? And if you didn't want to take the risk yourself, you shouldn't blame your brother for it and put it on him because if you were confident, you could invest without him if you had the funds.
87  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Profit evaluation – Hodl instead of mining on: April 28, 2024, 05:41:58 PM
Despite all the problems and issues you have mentioned about the technicalities of mining, solo mining can barely be profitable anymore considering the difficulty and the costs one will have to bear, and now when the block reward has been cut in half, it can be a bad business for an individual to try and set up a mining station at their home with one or two mining equipment or so.

Electricity costs alone would eat up most of the profit one can potentially earn from mining unless they live somewhere where the costs of electricity is extremely low and they wouldn't need to pay a hefty amount in electricity bill every month for running his mining equipment.

So, no doubt, holding is a better option for an individual, one could even think of making a few short-term trades for some profit, but mining shouldn't be an option for them.
88  Economy / Economics / Re: Starting a business without capital. on: April 28, 2024, 05:30:33 PM
Even something as simple as affiliate marketing requires you to have some capital, nothing big but something like probably a website would be great and most of them do have that. Aside from that, its called affiliate "marketing" which means that you do end up spending some money on it and you should be considering that as a possibility.

You are right, however, it isn't a necessity because one can do it without having a website but as you said, it is better if one manages to create a website for their affiliate work and then promote that website through social media.

Although a website isn't a necessity, I believe one will at least have to create social media pages and then spend some money to promote them using paid ads so that they can reach their target audience because it's not easy to find customers this way. You can't keep messaging everyone you see or post in every group and hope that you might get a customer.

This is the biggest challenge for an affiliate marketer, they will have a hard time finding people who would use their link in the initial stage.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If someone you introduced to BTC says the risks of her funds is on you on: April 28, 2024, 05:12:34 PM
One of the biggest problems I've seen is that a lot of people keep telling other people to do x or z thing and aren't honest about the risks. They fail to warn appropriately so that the person who wants to buy cryptocurrencies understands the high risk involved, how to protect themselves from the high risk and, above all, they fail to warn that one should not invest money that the person knows they should not lose. Anyone over 18 is responsible for themselves, so it doesn't make sense to blame other people for your mistakes. no one forced you to invest in bitcoin

That's a harsh reality and I have witnessed that as well. People often get too excited after getting some profit from their investments in cryptocurrencies and they can't contain that excitement and eventually let others know about it and even suggest them to do the same thing. We know how intriguing it can be when someone close to us tells us about how they got success in an investment and that we should do the same. This is the reason why people do it without much hesitance.

What's unfortunate is the person suggesting cryptocurrency investments to others don't make things very clear to them, letting them know about the potential profits one can get while not mentioning about the risks involved, and those who are receiving the suggestion doesn't do research as well, and what happens is they make investments blindly and incur losses due to a lack of knowledge about the market and its movements.
90  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Has Anyone Used This Crypto Recovery Service? on: April 28, 2024, 11:45:59 AM
Don't fall for it. You have been scammed once, don't get scammed again while trying to recover the assets that you lost in the first scam because it's not possible for any service provider to hack into the scammer's account and recover your funds, if they were able to do such things, they wouldn't need to provide such services for a few bucks as they could get into any account and steal funds from people or even from lost wallets that aren't accessible anymore.

All they are trying to do is to get some money out of you, that's it. As soon as you pay them, you won't see them back, they won't respond to your emails, their support team won't know you anymore or even respond to your messages, and you will be lost as to what you should do now because you were trying to recover your lost funds and lost more funds in the process.
91  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Is there any easy way? Where to earn $3 dollars per day? or micro earnings? on: April 28, 2024, 11:30:47 AM
Maybe you have the wrong approach and that's why it seems difficult? Merits are not something you "earn" in the literal sense of the word, but something you are rewarded with for creating content that someone considers valuable. The problem of many who have the same "problem" as you is that they consider this forum a place to work, and often realistically, they are not up to the task.

Until you change your attitude towards the forum, the forum will not change its attitude towards you either Wink

It's a common misconception among most new and old users that they need to "earn" merits as quickly as possible because they wouldn't be able to gain a higher rank without it, but as you said, their approach is usually not right which is the reason why they lack behind.

Someone who focuses too much on achieving something will have a harder time achieving it, especially if that thing can be achieved if you are not trying so hard but focusing more on what's important for you to achieve that thing. Similarly, for one to get rewarded with merits and grow higher in ranks they need to focus more on learning and growing instead of running behind merits but most people don't get it.

There is also no point in schooling them because this has been happening since the inception of the merit system, and not much has changed in this regard.
92  Economy / Speculation / Re: bullish & bearish community !!!! on: April 28, 2024, 11:13:25 AM
Candlesticks are nothing more than a graphical representation of how the market is or has been doing, they show market conditions from the past telling you whether it has been going up or down, etc. Fundamental or technical analysis helps you read those candles and the charts to give you a general idea about which direction the market or the asset you are watching might move next, and it doesn't always have to be accurate because the market is unpredictable, so it can prove anyone wrong at any time.

The bots that help you automate your trading process whether they are powered by AI or not are not always going to make you profit. A bot trades as per your instructions and strategies that you choose, so even they can make you lose money if the market goes in another direction after the bot has made a trade.

Fundamental and technical analysis can be useful if someone understands the market very well. You can't expect to always be correct even if you are an expert of the market.
93  Economy / Economics / Re: Harmful effect of robot to the world. on: April 28, 2024, 06:52:08 AM
Even though you are right about some things such as that a robot can do the work of a human without getting tired or having to need food or water for a whole day if it's given rest in between so that it doesn't have problems such as overheating or anything related to its physical or algorithmic structure, I don't completely agree that the rate of unemployment will increase with the advent of robotics because there will always be jobs available for humans to do.

The only challenge it would bring for the world is that people who used to do some work which might have now been replaced with a robot will need to upgrade their skills or learn something else that they will do. There will always be opportunities for people who are adaptive and keep changing based on the requirements of the time and the demands of the world.

You will only become completely jobless and hopeless if you are hesitant to get out of your comfort zone and learn something new. If you are okay with learning a new skill and switching to another industry or sector as a professional, you should be okay.
94  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Only Sell what you don't need. on: April 28, 2024, 06:45:50 AM
Personally, for me it just doesn't make sense to sell a house or land just to invest in Bitcoin, I mean if you already have it, for sure it is a much safer investment that you have than Bitcoin, mostly these things increase its value over time as well similar to Bitcoin plus its tangible assets compared to Bitcoin which is just speculation, price is just depending on the supply and demand on that market so you have no assurance in the end.

People who sell properties to invest money in Bitcoin barely do it for a security concern but they do it because they believe Bitcoin can generate quicker profits for them if the land or house they are selling has been bought or built for investment purposes. Some would even sell properties that they didn't buy for investment purposes which isn't what I would recommend as you said because it isn't worth it.

For someone like me who is investing and profiting in Bitcoin so that I could buy a house, land, etc., and make it a passive income it doesn't make sense to sell it just to buy Bitcoin, You have a point if it was just an unusable land for you, it's very far away and you just can't do anything about it, it would make sense just to sell it, then buy a new one that is near you where you could actually use, or possibly make an income out of it. Or even live on it, it's a good inheritance for your son and daughters having these houses and land, etc.

Different people will have different mindsets hence different purposes behind doing similar things. You might be struggling to earn some money to build a house, but someone who already has it might think they can earn money by selling it and using the money for investments.

Keep in mind that Bitcoin is still a gamble it is not guaranteed to make any kind of profit out of it, just because you see people get rich on it, it doesn't really mean that you gonna get rich as well, there was a lot of things that you need to consider so make sure you know what you are doing.

Even though I wouldn't compare it with gambling, I would still agree with what you said earlier that one shouldn't sell a property that they know is for use purposes unless they have it as something extra that they might have bought and they aren't using it or going to be needing it in the near future.
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the number of new investors reduce? on: April 28, 2024, 06:33:02 AM
Whoever decides to enters now is almost safe, and by that I mean that many others paved the road for these new investors: they will never know about the China is banning Bitcoin FUD, they will never know about all the Tether FUD, they will never know about the -90% dumps, they can enjoy the ride at this point. Of course I don't want to say that everything will be flawless, we still have a long way to go but I would say that the worst is behind us now.

I think a bit differently about this. I believe that it is better if the new investors know about all these things, they should know about bans, FUDs, and all other negative news and aspects of Bitcoin and this industry, and if they decide to make investments even after knowing all that, that will be a strong investment and Bitcoin needs that.

We don't want a bunch of newbie investors with no knowledge about the past or the present and are just excited after hearing from a cousin that they can earn money by investing money in Bitcoin, such investors will run right away if they hear anything negative about it or even if they see a correction because they know nothing about the market and its behaviors, and them exiting the market all at once can be a bigger problem.

It's not big deal if we are not getting many new investors, but if we get a lot of new investors and they all panic sell after a while, that will make the market go for towards negativity than it got positive when all those investors entered the market.
96  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need advice on getting merits on: April 27, 2024, 08:05:46 PM
I won't say that I feel jealous seeing other people's merit because when I joined this forum I was already told that it is very difficult to get merit here so I never wanted it. If I post or comment here, I will get credit for it if I deserve it.

The main reason of joining this forum was to gain knowledge in many things that I am getting. The rest of the things you mentioned in your post that you are not an expert in them, so I am also not an expert in them, so that means I will never be able to get merit, but I feel like getting merit once I'm knowledgeable enough. So there is no need for all these things if you are capable and your writing is good. The senior members present here will definitely help you because once they were also newbies and they also know very well that those who work hard deserve support.

Whenever I see a comment like this from a newbie, I am heartily glad that there are still people out there who are more eager to learn and I have often seen people with that mindset succeed.

Greed is something that can't keep us focused for a long time to do something even if that greed is to get merits here because when we do not find our meaning, we get tired of that work and we leave that work or we develop negativity about this thing. Only desire to learn and understand is something that keeps us engaged with anything for long and it is the only thing that can make us very successful in life.

Just as a diamond is known for its brilliance, gold is valuable for its utility, so educated and experienced people become popular and desirable because of their experience and knowledge. No one knows how long the accounts and this forum are there but the knowledge and knowledge learned from here will stay with you forever so everyone should try to learn something from here.

98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your favorite to lose slot game on: April 27, 2024, 05:58:22 PM
Sweet Bonanza used to be my favorite slot game. I would never get enough of it, to be honest.  Grin Whenever I joined a casino platform, the first game I would play was Sweet Bonanza from Pragmatic Play. I just love the graphics and the effects and stuff, and I like it when I get free spins from normal spins without buying the feature because in my experience, when you buy free spins, you barely get profit from it so it's not worth it.

If I count the overall sessions where I played the game, I'm pretty sure that I'm at a lot of loss because I have never managed to hit anything big from the game which is why I then stopped playing it because it wouldn't give you any juicy multipliers even when you are using Buy Feature option.

I'm not gambling very often these days, but when I do, I play some random games, maybe slots and maybe other games such as Dice or Crash sometimes.
99  Economy / Economics / Re: How safe is it to keep your money and gold underground? on: April 27, 2024, 05:42:52 PM
Everything has its pros and cons, and this method is no exception in that case. There are some benefits to this approach such as robbers and thieves won't be able to find them as you said, someone trying to sneak in the house and look for money or jewelry won't get any because they are buried in the backyard, however, this doesn't mean it is a foolproof method of saving your funds from every problem because some things will still haunt them.

The very first con that comes to mind is the devaluation of fiat currencies. We know how inflation makes a currency lose purchasing power, and if we are keeping fiat currencies buried in our backyard during such times only to keep them safe, we are making them lose value, if it's just gold and other precious metals, maybe this won't affect them, but burying fiat isn't a good approach, IMO.

Another problem can be natural disasters such as floods as mentioned by someone else earlier. If there is a flood or even heavy rain, if there are paper notes kept underground, they can become useless if there is a lot of water because all the rain water goes underground eventually.
100  Economy / Economics / Re: World price tag on every product. on: April 27, 2024, 07:11:50 AM
The world has gotten to that point in which every product should have a particular price is been sold for.
A product that is been sold for $5 in USA should also be sold for $5 in Canada and China, this way it will help the world leaders to remove hunger in the world, it will also help grow the economy of every country because countries can buy product from one another at a better price, this method will really help in reducing suffering in the world because hunger is one of man's major problem.
The world leaders should sit and implement this policy every product will be given a price that will be comfortable to every common man in different countries of the world.

Is it a policy to reduce hunger or a policy to increase it to an extent where people start dying due to it? None of what you said sounds realistic or practical because different countries can't have the same prices for the same products for a lot of reasons. You can't even get things at the same price in different cities in most countries and it is because of the costs the seller has to pay to make the product available for their customers, they aren't going to pay the costs from their pocket, are they?

How do you solve the problem of the difference in the value of different currencies? 1 United States Dollar is equal to 7 or more Chinese Yuan, so if a product is sold for $5 in the US, it would cost 35 yuan in China at the same price, the same applies to every other country, especially the poor ones where the currency doesn't have a lot of value, so you can't expect people from such countries to pay as much as people in a developed country do.
