801  Economy / Economics / Re: In your country, today is money the real root of all evil? on: January 25, 2023, 09:10:00 AM
Money is only the equivalent of the value of certain material values. It is only a tool of trade in the hands of man. Therefore, money cannot be evil or good. It's like fire: it can warm and help cook food, or it can burn and incinerate, depending on what it is directed at by human hands. Money gives a person material wealth and convenience. You just don't need to strive for enrichment at any cost. Here the material comes into contact with the spiritual.
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your opinion on the future of Decentralised exchanges on: January 24, 2023, 08:18:50 PM
More Exchanges are yet to come in the future. And I have seen many more exchanges in the twitter regarding their upcoming features, may be there will be a decentralized season for a time, And we all are know the world first and best centralized exchange is Binance and it has taken the position due to its security.
Decentralised exchanges have been around for a long time, but for some reason not many people use them. I am referring to real multichain DEX. Probably the difficulty is that it is easier for a simple user to trade on centralized exchanges and not to think about anything. It becomes a good lesson later on. But still the perfect DEX is not even developed yet, it will be much later.
Cryptocurrency and cryptocurrency exchanges are expected to be further regulated by states. Therefore, it is unlikely that we will be able to see exchanges completely independent of the states in the future. But this process will be long and will occur with varying degrees of success. But in general, cryptocurrency exchanges will be forced to at least provide certain information about their customers to the relevant government authorities. Perhaps decentralized exchanges will only be able to stay in some offshore zones.
803  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: January 24, 2023, 07:44:14 PM

I see the current unfortunate series of events as a sign of American decline. Russia wouldn't had invaded Ukraine if the US was a "force to reckon with". Now everybody is paying the price as gas, food, and energy prices are increasing by the day. Even though the US hasn't directly intervened in the conflict with its military, it has spent billions of dollars and wasted a lot of its weapons reserves to support Ukraine. The more it gives Ukraine, the weaker the US will become.

I think the bad things outweigh the benefits. It's almost a year since the war started, and energy prices haven't been put under control yet (both in the US and EU). The US claims inflation has declined, but with rising energy prices, things will get worse in the long run. Who knows if the whole world is headed towards a very dark future? Just my thoughts Grin
Russia has been hatching plans to take over Ukraine since the early 2000s. She first attacked Georgia in 2008. Precisely because the international community did not properly respond to this aggression, in 2014 Russia seized the Crimean peninsula and part of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in Ukraine. Received only some weak sanctions in response. Therefore, the full-scale invasion of Ukraine last year was the result of the passivity of world states.
The Putin regime expected that further other states, and above all the United States and Europe, would not support Ukraine and would not impose significant sanctions. But this time Russia miscalculated. First of all, this became possible due to the fact that the Ukrainians gave a fitting rebuff to the invaders. As the Armed Forces of Ukraine make progress on the fronts, the level of support for Ukraine also grows. In Europe, they finally realized that if Putin seizes Ukraine, then he will go further to the countries of Europe.

The current situation shows that the United States will benefit from this war in any case. Their main rival - Russia is losing its military and economic power in unsuccessful attempts to seize Ukraine. Russia will never regain its former power and former influence on world politics. NATO, which was created for the military confrontation between the USSR and then Russia, is now fulfilling this task with the hands of Ukrainians, only helping Ukraine with weapons and finances. Now the Russian professional army is almost completely defeated in Ukraine. In addition, Russia has lost almost all of its armored power in Ukraine. Now there are big problems even with artillery and ammunition. Soon Russia will not even be able to fully attack Ukrainian positions. The result will be able to observe in the spring, closer to summer.
804  Economy / Economics / Re: China Digital yuan vs US dollars on: January 24, 2023, 07:09:44 PM
In China, it has been exactly a year since they officially launched their digital yuan into circulation. Is it still being tested there? China may get some benefits in connection with the launch of its digital yuan, but this is only an improved form of government cashless payments. These advantages must be consolidated in practice. But so far, we do not see feedback from the Chinese or from other countries about the circulation of the digital yuan. So far, this is unlikely to have any noticeable impact on the dollar. In addition, the US is also going to issue its own digital dollar.
On the other hand, China is largely dependent on the technologies of the United States and the West. Therefore, it is hardly possible to talk about some kind of his dominance over the dollar.

806  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ukrainians hijacks Russian Bitcoin, Donates it to Kyiv Charity on: January 07, 2023, 10:51:16 AM
I strongly applaud the actions of Alex. Personally thats a bold move from the Ukrainian born cyber security expert. The act of spooking the owners of Solaris to close down the site is in a way a smart political move to divert Putin's attention from the war to solving the issue of drug trades( from my standpoint).

Indeed a dark web Robin hood as he not only carted away $25,000 worth of Bitcoin, but he has also managed to severe ties of one of Solaris' associates, Killnet, a crew tasked with taking down websites by flooding them with traffic known as Dados.
Hacking and stealing bitcoin is a criminal offense and should be condemned in strong terms. The OP wrote that it was hacked from a site that hosts drug dealings named the Russian dark web. He that comes to equity must come with clean hands. The dark web has no case because they cannot sue or persecute the hackers. Donating the illegal proceeds to charity will somehow reduce the hacker's punishment if I were a judge. Ukrainians are in great pain and suffering, and Russia is not reducing the rate of attacks. They need all the supports they can get.
It must be taken into account that Ukraine is in a state of undeclared war with Russia, Ukrainians are defending their freedom and independence from Russian invaders. The Russians are now taking out absolutely everything that can be stolen from the occupied territories of Ukraine: equipment from medical and other institutions, agricultural machinery, grain, museum valuables, even scrap metal from industrial enterprises they bombed. Also, civilians of Ukraine and especially children are being massively forcibly deported to Russia. This is a horde that takes everything out of Ukrainian residential buildings, down to toilet bowls and worn linen. It is estimated that only the damage caused to the ecology of Ukraine by the Russians is at least $700 billion. The total damage to Ukraine will be measured in trillions of dollars.

Therefore, the usual rules of the civilized world do not apply to property belonging to the state of Russia and Russian citizens in Ukraine. In Ukraine, all Russian property is now being nationalized, whether it belongs to the Russian state or its citizens. Crimes must be paid for, and Russians are unlikely to voluntarily compensate for the damage caused. Therefore, there is no doubt that the Ukrainian hackers did the right thing. Moreover, we are talking about the money of Russian criminals.
807  Economy / Economics / Re: Soaring fertilizer prices could see millions more undernourished on: January 06, 2023, 07:15:09 AM

I am not that optimistic about organic fertilizer replacing synthetic ones. First of all, not enough quantity is available. And secondly, organic fertilizers can't provide all the nutrients that the plants need. A fraction of the Ammonia-based fertilizers can be replaced with organic fertilizer such as cow dung and poultry waste. But I don't think that Potash fertilizers can be replaced with any of the organic alternatives (glauconite has been tried as a replacement without much success). At this point, Russia and Belarus account for almost 40% of the global potash exports.
Organic fertilizers can completely replace synthetic ones. If you use for this various weeds and other unnecessary green mass mixed with dried, there will be absolutely all the nutrients necessary for plants. But organic fertilizers, based on high physical costs, are more suitable for household and small farms. For large agricultural enterprises, synthetic fertilizers are still indispensable.

Any wars, and especially such large ones as the current Russian-Ukrainian one, disrupt the established logistical routes for world trade. Mankind needs to develop effective measures to quickly curb any military aggressor.
808  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: January 06, 2023, 06:23:00 AM
Russian defence ministry claims that 63 Russian Soldiers are killed in Ukraine attack on facility in Donetsk. Attacks reportedly happened minutes into the new year in Makeevka in Russian controlled part of the Donetsk.

It was a big blunder to house hundreds of reserve troops next to a large ammunition dump in Makiivka. The location was targeted by HIMARS, but most of the deaths resulted from the subsequent explosion of the ammunition dump. And as usual, Russia sent dozens of drones to Ukrainian cities immediately after the attack. The official death toll is 89, but some are claiming that up to 500 soldiers died in Makiivka. As usual, the army has blamed phone usage among the soldiers as the cause, rather than punishing the generals who housed the troops in such vulnerable accommodation.
According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the number of those mobilized from Russia in the barracks of the school in Makeevka on New Year's Eve is about 400 killed and 300 wounded. From the impact of four HIMARS, not even the walls remained. According to information, the invaders were driven there to watch Putin's New Year's greetings. At the same time, they received good congratulations from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

However, on the morning of January 5, the baton of Makiivka was intercepted by Gavrilovka II of the Kherson region, where the Ukrainian army conveyed fiery greetings to another thousand invaders. The situation is almost the same. Over the past five days, the Russian military has been concentrating forces to Gavrilovka Vtoroy of the Kalanchaksky district of the Kherson region and they have settled in the hostel of the Tavrida plant in an amount of up to 1,000 people. Grads were left on the territory and were soon to move closer to the front line.
As a result of the strike, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 20 officers, at least 100 wounded, more than 800 invaders "disappeared" under the rubble of the building.

Now the entire Russian grouping of troops in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, a hundred kilometers deep, is pressed against the Sea of Azov and is under the fire control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russia does not want to retreat here, because this is a land corridor to the previously annexed Crimean peninsula, and therefore, on the contrary, it is pulling more "live meat" there. As a result of inept command, the Russians are and will continue to suffer heavy losses, since they will not be able to hold this occupied territory.
809  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Louisiana Begins Requiring Government ID to Access Online Porn on: January 05, 2023, 09:22:29 AM
It's no secret that porn sites are very popular all over the world and by almost all categories of people. Certain measures should be taken to restrict access to minors, however, to require for viewing porn to provide documents proving the identity and age of citizens, in my opinion, is a bad idea. This will enable the owners of porn sites to blackmail individuals who would not want information about it to become known to their wives or entourage. Therefore, it is in order to increase the level of anonymity and privacy that some porn sites take money from their regular customers in cryptocurrency, and even in some cases in anonymity coins such as Monero.
810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will support Elon Musk if he creates a stablecoin for Twitter on: January 05, 2023, 08:54:32 AM
I will support Elon Musk if he creates a stablecoin for Twitter

I will support Elon Musk if he creates a stablecoin for Twitter and also pays users for free, If Elon Musk pays $1 million per user per day, it would make the world rich quickly, Moreover, it will also provide liquidity to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I didn't support Mark Zuckerberg because he wanted to become the richest person in the world by creating more assets as a stablecoin and because Mark Zuckerberg wasn't even interested in Bitcoin, I refused to give approval to the US and European governments either. If Mark Zuckerberg had created a stablecoin, it would hardly have benefited users.
This is an idea that will never come true. First, Elon Musk is unlikely to want to create a stablecoin for Twitter as well. It won't be of much practical value. But then Elon Musk will have a lot of problems. Zuckerberg failed with his Libra/Diem stablecoin precisely because he wanted to connect a pervasive social network and finance. The states saw in this the concentration in private hands of significant confidential information about a decent part of the citizens of the planet. And this is a huge influence and power. Therefore, the states used their leverage to prevent this from happening. The same will happen with Elon Musk. He must understand this.
811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador will be the richest country in the world in 8 years? on: January 04, 2023, 06:56:57 AM
Not a single, even the most perfect financial system is capable of leading the state to prosperity. The key to the successful development of the state is the growth of its economy. Therefore, with the help of bitcoins, El Salvador needs to think about where to invest possible financial investments in order to raise its economy. The 2,300 bitcoins currently available in El Salvador are not so much for the state as a whole. We need to make sure that money brings even more money. If you bet only on a possible increase in the price of bitcoin, El Salvador will still not achieve a good result. It will be eating up the budget and will not end in anything good.
812  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: January 03, 2023, 04:12:07 PM
A few days ago I read the news in the local information media regarding the prohibition of Russian gas and price restrictions. In the end, Vladimir Putin replied to what had narrowed him down by deciding on a decree banning oil and oil products for countries that agreed to price limit decisions. The countries that include the European Union and the G7, previously on December 5, the G7 countries agreed to limit the price of Russian crude oil to $ 60/barrel, the decision was made before 27 European Union countries agreed to limit prices.
Russia's decision to stop oil exports to Europe and the G7 countries will be a countermeasure that will take effect from 1 February to 1 July 2023 or for five months. The ban applies to all stages of supply up to the final buyer, but Putin can lift the ban in certain cases.

Putin's ban will make world oil prices heat up even more as a result the inflation rate which continues to be suppressed by the world bank through interest rates will continue to increase.

What might happen to Europe if this actually happened? will Europe be worse?
The transitional period after the refusal of European countries from Russian energy carriers is difficult, no one hides this, but Europe is getting out of this situation with dignity. More gas is pumped into EU storage this winter than it consumes. So, in Germany, the filling of gas storage facilities is almost 90%, in the EU as a whole - 83%. A year ago it was even 30% less. And this was one of the key factors behind Putin's decision to go to war in Ukraine. He believed that the European Union without Russia in any way. But it turned out that dependence on Russia blocks the path to the future and kills Europe like an old drug addict, and also allows the Russian mafia to earn money.

The price of gas in the EU has also fallen below pre-war levels. A warm winter has already partially solved the problem of gas for the next winter, because in the middle of winter they began to pump more gas into storage facilities than they consume - and this is in the middle of winter!

This year can and should be the end of Russia as an energy empire. Europe as a sphere of energy influence of the Russian Federation will no longer exist. The energy year is off to a good start.

European natural gas prices have eased as persistently warmer-than-usual winter weather dampens demand and reduces strain on the region's energy systems. Gas prices in Europe have accelerated the pace of decline to more than 7%, dropping to $785 per thousand cubic meters

The return of stronger winds in parts of Europe is also helping to reduce the need for gas for electricity generation. Nearly record-breaking wind power is expected to be produced in Germany. It looks like Putin's plans have failed completely.
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins dead? on: January 03, 2023, 02:35:25 PM
Of course, in this long period of crypto winter, a significant part of altcoins will not survive, but this does not mean at all that altcoins will die in general. Potential projects will continue to develop. Only the weak and useless will die. For the cryptocurrency market, this ensures the further development of the cryptocurrency. True, the recent scandals with some of them do not add credibility to the cryptocurrency. But there are never ideal conditions.
814  Economy / Economics / Re: How much longer until paper money is no longer in circulation? on: January 03, 2023, 01:48:17 PM

Everything is going digital, so I'm pretty sure paper money will disappear sometime in the future. I know CBDCs won't replace paper money right after they're launched, especially when not everyone will want to use it for day-to-day payments (like the elderly). We already have decentralized digital currencies (Bitcoin and its variants), so why should we care about Fiat going digital anyways? Once CBDCs take over the world, you can say goodbye to privacy for good. Who knows how many years do we have left before this happens? Just my thoughts Grin
It is unlikely that states and their governments will abandon the use of cash in the foreseeable future. Cash also plays a positive role in the development of the economy of each state. In addition, in some cases and for certain categories of people, paper money is simply irreplaceable. Of course, the volume of their circulation will decrease, but to a certain level. Their further fate will depend on how quickly our civilization develops technically. But if cataclysms and troubles, wars continue, then paper money will not disappear at all.
815  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: January 02, 2023, 08:59:18 AM

War is the result of the greed of some individuals and causes pain to millions of people, humanity is really too cruel. I don't understand why they want war, why they need so much money, and so much property when they can't take it with them when they die.

I don't come from two warring countries, but I can feel the anguish of the people living there because my country also went through those deadly wars. I just hope that the people of the two countries will soon see peace again and that everyone will be close brothers again. Wishing everyone peace in the new year. Happy New Year, Ukrainians and Russians.
It's been a long time that we have been cursing war. But this doesn't bring in any good to the world.
We don't know how many deaths we have to see in the days to come. These warlords are making our lives miserable.
On December 31, New Year's Eve, Putin was presented with an internal memorandum on the irretrievable losses of the Russian occupying army in Ukraine. The figures are impressive and they are much higher than according to the official information of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

So, since the invasion in February, the loss of Russians killed and missing in Ukraine is already about 145,000 people. Of these, the regular army lost 104,166 people, PMC "Wagner" - 33,902 people, the FSB of Russia - 1118 people and the Ministry of Emergency Situations - 297 people. But the problem is that Putin does not care about human losses. From January 5, he plans to announce an additional mobilization of more "live meat" and try to shut up the problems of the mediocre military command on the fronts in Ukraine. And yet the Russians continue to generally support the war of conquest in Ukraine. As a result of this, no mass indignation is expected with the situation in Russia itself.
816  Economy / Economics / Re: The world continues dumping US dollar (Gold, New World Order, World War III) on: January 02, 2023, 08:32:03 AM
I would replace some words and say the world is dumping fiat currency not just the us dollar the reason is the increasing inflation rate of the world when people see their hard-handed money worth less than yesterday and they have to invest their money or find a way to stay safe from the inflation in their country they will have to look for a suitable asset depending on themself and the money they have, here assets like gold and bitcoin will have more demand from people and this will even attract more people to staff from the bad economic situation in their country.
The growing interest in gold is a consequence of the deteriorating economic situation around the world, and not distrust of the US dollar. Rising inflation is observed in all countries, so it is quite reasonable that against this background, the governments of some states are now buying up gold. The dollar is going through a difficult period, like any currency of states.
In addition, uncertainty about the future also comes from the current political situation, and primarily because of Russia's military aggression against Ukraine. Russia has started a war that it is not able to win, and now the threat of collapse hangs over it. In any case, Russia will no longer be able to influence world processes, as before. Therefore, big shifts in spheres of influence are coming.
817  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Nuclear Fusion be a reality in the next decade? on: December 31, 2022, 09:50:48 AM
Probably not. In the next decade we might have a more realistic deadline when to expect a stable nuclear fusion that outputs more energy than it receives.
Now the main thing is that humanity has begun to actively look for new types of energy. Recently, quite a lot of various encouraging studies have appeared, including information on nuclear fusion. A narrow circle of specialists is engaged in nuclear fusion, so we cannot predict when this invention will begin to give real practical results. So far it is not so important whether it will be in one or several decades. After all, we have hope not only for this source of energy.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UN to offer cryptocurrency aid to Ukraine refugees, questionable rationale,, on: December 30, 2022, 01:34:56 PM
This a good news and I hope to see more because the Ukrainian soldiers that are fighting the war are really giving their lives to there country to make sure that everything is in place and Russia does not take over there land which is a great effort to note. If more funds and aids is given to Ukraine to care for the lost ones and relations, this will help then in a long way.
In general, the UN initiative to provide financial assistance to refugees from Ukraine in USDC stablecoin deserves approval from any side. The most significant international organization has actually recognized that cryptocurrency is superior to conventional currency in the simplicity and versatility of its use and that in this case, the currency in the form of stablecoins is the easiest and most affordable to transfer to refugees, wherever they are. And although stable coins are not exactly related to cryptocurrency, however, this fact will greatly help, in my opinion, the legalization and distribution of cryptocurrencies.
819  Economy / Economics / Re: The impact of Russian and Ukrain war on world economy on: December 30, 2022, 12:54:59 PM
I'm hoping the war ends by 2023, for things to get back to normal.
I doubt that US is going to let this war end anytime soon. The plan was always to recreate what happened to NATO over the past 20 years for Russia in Ukraine. All sides are predicting a very dire 2023 because of this specially since we haven't seen any signs of deescalation from neither US nor Russia.

This is a war between the US and Russia, not between Russia and Ukraine, so it is almost impossible to expect either of these countries to yield first to sit at the negotiating table. The US will never stop aid and agree to end the war unless Russia actually defeats the Volodymyr Zelensky regime. But to do that for Russia is also a problem because it alone is against 29 countries, not just one.

Although the war is causing chaos in the world, the United States is the biggest beneficiary, so it will not be easy for them to agree to a cessation of hostilities.
The war is taking place on the territory of Ukraine and Ukrainians are fighting with Russia. For Ukraine, the stakes in this war are too high - freedom and independence, so they do not intend to give in to the Putin regime, despite the fact that Ukraine will have to pay a big price. On the other hand, Putin is now also fighting for his existence, because Russia itself will not forgive him for defeat in the war. Therefore, the war goes to the depletion of resources to continue it. In Russia, there is already a problem in almost everything: armored vehicles, artillery ammunition, missiles, even in conventional small arms and trained soldiers. But if Russia can still use the masses for the war with Ukraine, then it can no longer provide them with everything they need. The issue with the officers is also extremely acute, since almost the entire professional army of Russia, which invaded in February, has already perished on the territory of Ukraine.

Of course, Ukraine itself would not have stood against Russia with its colossal resources. But to say that this is a war between the United States and its NATO allies, on the one hand, and Russia, on the other, is possible only in terms of material resources. Otherwise, Russians are significantly inferior to the motivation and professionalism of Ukrainians.

It is clear that after this war there will still be no more in the world. Russia will lose its former influence on the world stage.
820  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: December 29, 2022, 05:18:35 PM
In 10 months of the war, clearly even when Ukraine could hurt Russia, they are no match. The more they fight the more Ukraine land will they lose.
Regarding the fact that the more Ukraine fights with Russia, the more territories it loses, it is absolutely wrong. Russia managed to capture many territories of Ukraine in the first weeks of the invasion of Russian troops. There are several reasons for this. Russia concentrated near the borders of Ukraine eight of the most combat-ready armies with a total strength of up to 200 thousand people, and all of them moved deep into its territory in armored vehicles. The total length of the invasion line was over 3,000 kilometers. Moreover, the most vulnerable direction for Ukraine was from the territory of Belarus, whose top officials assured that there would be no attack from their territory. The Russian troops that invaded from the territory of Belarus were tasked with reaching the outskirts of Kyiv in 18 hours, since the distance to Kyiv from there was the smallest. By the way, this group of Russian troops did not complete the task. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not deliberately detain Russian troops on their borders, since in this case there was a high probability of immediately losing a significant part of their army. The Armed Forces of Ukraine let the occupiers deep into their territory, and it was there that they already gave them a real hell. Therefore, by the end of the first month, Russia was forced to urgently withdraw its fairly battered troops from the central and northern parts of Ukraine, so that they would not be completely defeated.

Since that time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been confidently liberating their territories, while capturing a significant part of the enemy’s armored vehicles as trophies. Only the most modern tanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were taken away from the Russians by more than 500.
The most impressive was the operation to liberate the Kharkiv region in August and the left-bank part of the Kherson region, after which the Armed Forces of Ukraine firmly seized the strategic initiative in this war, and the Russians have since been forced to simply defend themselves, concentrating fruitless offensives in one or two directions. Now the Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing to completely clear the south of their country from the occupiers, where the front is approximately 300 kilometers with a depth of 100 kilometers and where the Russian occupiers are already pressed against the Sea of Azov. This is hindered so far only by the weather, which does not allow equipment to move quickly due to muddy ground.
