Have you updated your Freicoin client, your site seems to have lagged behind at the fork.

I use a public block explorer to FRC - so it must have the issue.

I received a few reports of a "too many connections error".  Tuning hat on today!  However, just hit reload if you get it as it self-heals.

Why ask when you know the answer...

Rhetorical question Smiley

Somebody should set an order to buy 1 DGC per 1 BTC on cryptsy to mess with coinchoose. 0.0001 BTC would suffice.

So that would be 0.0001 DGC? Smiley  Won't work Smiley

Enjoy the low diff mining while it last... Pool owners, tweak your engines.   Grin

Be ready for the trolls as well.

Is that because I just added it to CoinChoose? Smiley

We live in the real world, but also my economic need for this library has diminished as that project is on a backburner.
807  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for C# Dev on: May 23, 2013, 11:55:58 AM
I haven't been able to work on this, nor find anyone to as Coinchoose has kept me busy, but think it would be create to have an open-source library that supports all the available functions of these new exchanges (Cryptsy also has an API that is easily identifiable thru looking at its source).

Thanks sal002!

Those pins don't need to be soldered as they're not connected to anything. If you peel back the blue tape you should be able to see that the PCB lines for the disconnected pins don't connect to the extender ribbon.

Here's a few quick shots that I took with one of the risers minus the tape off one of my rigs.

A few troubleshooting tips:
Do you have another 1x-16x riser that you can try on the same slot?
Have you tried plugging the 1x riser into a 16x slot on the mobo?
Does the same video card work in a 16x slot without any risers?

FYI some motherboards require a short pin for it to detect the full length card on a 1x slot but try the basic troubleshooting steps first.

Let me know if you want to arrange a Skype call to troubleshoot! Just PM me your Skype.

Alfred

Even the pins to the far left in your second pic?  There is solder there, but nothing is connected (looks like there might have been a pin there as I can see something in the connector but it might have broke off as nothing is there and nothing is soldered except some left over solder).  I don't have another rise, the card works in the 16x slot and I also tried plugging the riser into the 16x slot and card was still not recognized.

I just got my cable - and great fast delivery!

A couple questions (as I couldn't get the card to be recognized):

1.  I am looking at the end that plugs into the card and (with the side that has the solder points to the right) the three left-most pins from the card are not soldered down - is this accurate?

2.  There looks to be three pins that have solder on them to the far left, but nothing is connected

You can kinda see what I am talking about here - http://coinchoose.com/img/pins.JPG

I filter out incredible low orders AND hopefully people are also snatching those up as my site also has a use as far as telling where the best exchanges are at any second.  Seems the orders placed to inflate quickly disappear.

JKC added.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RYC 180% profit!!!! on: May 22, 2013, 10:41:43 PM
lol, first its Cryptsy, low liquidity exchange.  Second look at the order book.  Classic pump and dump.

lol. I know dude. Just joking, at PWC

all in good fun.  I need to change my script.  I'm going to pull prices form bter, btce and mtgox from now on.  I can't have rigs jumping on these numbers.

Do you actually have RYC set-up to mine?  I think the only exchange it is on is Cryptsy, so if you don't have it as an option, you won't switch.  Watching PWC and its price has crashed with minimal resistance on Cryptsy as well as BTER.
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: coinchoose authors - please correct the data for PWC on: May 22, 2013, 10:39:20 PM
Should probably have a looksy at RYC...

Is the difficulty out of whack for it?

No idea, but it jumped from 40% to 200+, and, that just doesn't seem possible...

Looks like a great price increase at Cryptsy is driving it.

Though I say that, and an order that would get past the filter is placed.  Long live the free market...
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RYC 180% profit!!!! on: May 22, 2013, 10:32:29 PM
Okay - adding a filter to Cryptsy in a bit to filter out these price spikes a bit.
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin Profitability Calculator on: May 22, 2013, 10:29:33 PM

I'm pretty sure that was the whole point behind Yacoin. Smiley

True - so I think it matters in comparison geared towards CPU miners Smiley
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: coinchoose authors - please correct the data for PWC on: May 22, 2013, 10:26:27 PM

Sal, I appreciate the work you put into the site and use it quite often. I do, as any responsible miner should, research stats on my own before switching my mining rigs over to another alt chain, so the few minor bugs you have experienced have not been a big deal for me... just wanted to say thanks, as it seems there are plenty out there that would rather bash your FREE service as oppose to showing any kind of gratitude!

To all of the complainers: Maybe you could make a better website and STFU?

It's respectable to point out bugs and provide constructive feedback, but I have yet to understand how anyone thinks that spreading BS rumors about a developer or whining is going to accomplish anything.

Thank you for the kind words and agree that coinchoose should be just one tool to decide which coin to mine.  I welcome constructive criticism and bug reports as I am constantly trying to make the site better.  As an aside, if I had to manually update the difficulty, TRC would make me update like every minute!  I should have my coder card taken away if that was the case...
819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CoinChoose - alternative site to show respective profitability of the alt coins on: May 22, 2013, 10:09:34 PM
Don't see JKC in the list... can you add it?  Grin

It was next on my list as it hits my two requirements.  Be a few hours before I get back to my machine, but will do then!
820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: coinchoose authors - please correct the data for PWC on: May 22, 2013, 09:44:57 PM
It's not the first time coinchoose 'favors' a coin. For bitbar it has for days shown arbitrary and far too high sale prices.

What prices?  Mine are based on open trades, but perhaps the exchanges are not reporting accurate numbers?
