801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [LEMON] LemonCoin - Argon2 coin done right on: May 09, 2018, 10:17:32 AM
Has anyone found any calculation for hash rate / CPU power?

Have you tried mining it?
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: |ANN|🌟Vitality🌟|ALGO-Vitalium🚀|✅CPU|✅Masternodes|✅POW|✅POS|CPUMINER AVAILABLE on: May 09, 2018, 08:27:31 AM
The GPU miner is not released from the devs. But from another 3rd party source.

Please do more reasearch before shittalking left and right.

I dont need to do anymore research. The miner is known about therefore the dev should put a link on his Ann. Simple
If you know the link you could post it.
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN updates and GPU miner on: May 09, 2018, 07:20:25 AM
Hi Dev,

Why aren't you keeping this ANN up to date.

I see there is a GPU miner available now, but why is it only mentioned on the discord channel.
It should be posted on the 1st of this ANN. Not everyone wants to go to discord all the time begging for info.
By not keeping this ANN fresh you are doing yourself and the coin a great dis-service.
Please put all a copy of all new links here, or close this ANN.
Also please make sure the miner links dont just point to discord, but to a github or somewhere public - its all about trust.
Thanks
J

Well guys 48 hours has passed since i asked dev/team to put gpu miner link on 1st page of ANN.
It doesn't matter if it is in "test state". If it is in "test state" then a selct few should be "testing" it quietly.

Unfortunately since this now creates an "unfair" situation which the devs could easily resolve, i think this is now a project to stay away from.
I hope the team prove me wrong and post the miner links within the next hour, Failing that, time for everyone to walk away.
With 20 new coins every day, openest and honesty are the only things that set a coin and its team apart at the moment.
Be cautious

Hi,
Does anyone know of a working pool for this coin please?
J

Solo is only option for now.

Pool would be nice.

UTC is so cheap now that you get more UTC by mining other coins and buy UTC.

If you have nvidia cards, I can help you, if you want mine UTC.

Just ask  Smiley

Hi,

Thanks for coming back to me.
I have nvidia cards, but my hash is about 1/1000 of the network hash, so no chance of a block. I even borrowed a 6x1080ti rig for 12 hours, and still didnt get even 1 block.
Pool is the only answer. Any particular reasons why the old pools got shutdown, or why a new pool cant be written?
J

BTW i'll take any miners/config advice you have, just incase i'm using the wrong ones

Iam using latest ccminer. For older nvidia like 750ti, I am using old cudaminer with old drivers.
You will find right settings for you rig by using auto mode.  -L 4 -l auto, try different -L values 2,3,4.

1060 6GB, 1060 3GB, 1030 2GB, 3 x 750ti, all in same rig Smiley

Nice you have almost same combo than me. I have win7 with this rig . Uninstall drivers using DDU uninstaller, Install nvidida 382.33 driver. Use this ccminer-x64-2.2.2-cuda7.5 for 1060 and 1030. For 750ti use cudaminer. This works best for me.

Well Thankyou kindly.
I will try that later today. Smiley
J
Oh, for mainly the wrong reasons (Ryzen) i am unfortunately on Win 10, which may be the biggest cuplrit

806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Genuine small miners coin required. on: May 08, 2018, 05:50:22 PM
Hi guys,

Well another day, and another load of s**t coins.
ASIC resitance blah blah blah, gpu resitance blah, blah, blah, cpu only...yeah right
Ok, so i get that any algo if popular enought and profitable enough can be hacked, but seriously coders is there no one out there who even tries anymore.
Has all of crypto just become ICOs and get-poor-quick schemes.

Way i see, is like this...
ASIC manufactures, gpu farms, and cpu farms, all have one thing in common - GREED (i'm not taking about the small guy who has saved and saved to buy a single 1080ti rig, i mean the mega guys)

So they are looking for something they can buy as a standard itm, cheaply and duplicate easily.

So devs, why not look at producing a coin, that genuinely is distributed, genuinely for the small guy (or girl)
A coin which utilises the cpu, the gpu the system ram, and the hard disk, and a coin in which you mine solely from the wallet...no pools, and if you multi cpu/gpu, then the other requiremenst go massively.

Lets say a generic desktop has a cheap quad core cpu, a 750ti, 1030gt ish level gpu, and 4GB ram, and 1Tb hdd.
SO if we make that our base level.

The wallet asses the hardware, and as part of the "mining process" some info has to be "plotted to the HDD" just like burst say 500Gb of the 1 TB.
Next the wallet miner can utilise eith the cpu, the gpu, or both, using the system ram as a buffer.

SO, yes you can have 1000 desktops and a 1000 wallets, but on a single PC, as soon as you add say a 2nd gpu, you need double the ram (8GB), and a 2TB hdd.
3 gpus, and u need 16GB ram, and 4TB hdd
4 gpus, and u need 32GB ram, and 8TB hdd
5 gpus, and u need 64GB ram, and 16TB hdd
6 gpus, and u need 128GB ram, and 32TB hdd

Now YES the server farm guys have 192 zillion GB ram, but not necceasrily the match HDD space, and vice versa.
Yes it screws even the modest single 1080ti guy
BUT it means pretty much anyone with core2duo with office gpu upwards should be able to mine it.

Anyway i dont have the answers or the ability, but some bight spark dev surely can invent something alone these lines to help the small guy Smiley

Heres hoping

807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CoinCalculators.io - Mining calculator website and mobile app. on: May 08, 2018, 05:15:22 PM
Hi,
Tried calculator on website....miles off
First, didnt work on Firefox, clicking on calculate gave no results, tried in Edge, worked ok.

for 6x1080ti in calculates $8.38 as top earnings, but i'm making more than $12.17 simply using nicehash, sometimes as high as $15 (last few days)
So i think the values are way out.

Also, i have a slight problem with the whole use of these "calculators", cos it means the top 3-5 coins each day suddenly all get mined by the sheep, then the diff rises, so those coins all become much less profitable, and then this is done with tomorrows top 5 coins, repeat, repeat.
So by the time u ahve selected coin, its already losing profit.
Much better i think to just pick a coin and mine it for a week, and see what you end up with. All this coin jumping as bad for crypto i think.
Need to be thinking in time scales of weeks to months to years - not today...

Just my thoughts

Block explorer:
http://explorer.getnerva.org

The high hashrate is because a couple of people have pointed big servers at it.

Youpool.io does not have a pool for it.

Feel free to join us on the discord if you have any queries. You will get a faster response there

200KH/s - impossible to solo mine from daemon now - someone has a pool
Please help us out dev

A new version is available - v_0.7.6.1 (Stable). Disconnecting double fork.

Hi There,

Any news on windows wallet please?
I have paid someone to try and compile either ubuntu version or windows version, but they  have failed twice now.
This really is becoming quite unfair.
Hows about removing linux wallet until windows one is available?

Hi mate,
You've done a fork, so does that mean my coins are lost, also where is the windows wallet please? I'm still mining to my existing wallet 5.4....
J

Was the minig after this date? - GMT: Fri, 27 Apr 2018 13:38:09 GMT
Wallet under Windows will be after a thorough testing of the possibilities of new algorithms.

So that means the linux guys are mining away leaving us windows guys behind? Seems unfair Sad

816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Datacoin - Censorship-Free Data Storage on: May 03, 2018, 08:01:30 PM
Good day,

I see someone has suddenly become aware of Datacoin, and has doubled the nethash. 4 rigs (20 cards).
Well thanks for screwing the small guy. No point trying to compete with that hash. Price dropped by 2/3rds and for every £5 of power i spend i get approx £0.25 of Datacoin. (That was pre hash increase.)
I wish there was a way to implement say something like for every gpu you needed 8 or 16GB of system ram, that way at least it might keep the 1080ti rigs away a little longer.

I'll stick a 1030Gt on it, just to help keep the chain ticking over.
Be interesting to see where the mining goes next.

Will keep a casual eye on developments, cos i love the concept, and think the individuals behind this are some of the very best i have come across.
J

Hi minerja

Where do you look to see that the nethash is doubled?  And how do you know it is with 4 rigs (20 cards)?   Just curious.
Your power cost is very high.  Is this the UK?  Better place to mine would be India or Canada.

-extro

Uk here, and yes 16p per kwh, so 1000watt 24hrs = £3.84

Wow, finally got a link to the cpu miner, but looking at the massive increase in hashrate, it's either been hit by a bot already, or some one has hacked a gpu miner.....
