Normally in test cricket, I'd say it was a tough day at work and we still have 4 more days to go.

But considering our performances in ICC finals I would say we are fucked royally lol. Bowlers did bowl exceptionally well in patches but failed to put pressure on Aussie. It all started with the Thick boy Yadav, Shami also didn't chip in with the new ball despite being tight. Shardul started well but he was punished after his first spell.

Ik i am being negative but the 90% chance is we are losing the final, again. Unless our top 5 scores a shitload amount of runs, like Daddy hundreds.

Well, this seems to be a pitch that is absolutely made for batting. Australia is absolutely dominating the match so far. Now I don't think they are done. They are going to play on the next day and also try to put a big first innings total in front of India. It is only the end of the first day. So it is still very hard to say which team is going to win. But the indication after the first day is that Australia is very confident. India will also have to perform just like Australia if they want to have any chance of winning the match.

I think Real Madrid should go for Harry Kane. I know right now there are a lot of rumors going around. Most of them are not true because it is just the media trying to get some attention.

But the news about Harry Kane, well it's not news it's actually a rumor Grin, but at this moment it seems pretty logical to me because at this point I see only two players as potential candidates Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen. We can talk about other players as much as we want but I believe these two are the most realistic candidate.
What about Mbappe? Do Real keep trying to get him again? I think it's worth trying. Victor Osimhen has been rumoured with many big clubs in the EPL, such as Chelsea and Man United. But there is no official news yet, I think Real Madrid still have a lot of chances to get them. While Hary Kane is a pretty good option. 29 years old is the best time for Hary Kane. He deserves a new club with much better achievements than Tottenham. But Man United and Bayern Munich also want to get him for next season.  Of course there will be many rumors to come, we can only wait for the official announcement.

Mbappe is not worth the effort anymore in my opinion. If he was actually passionate about his career he have already gone to Real Madrid a long time ago. But we all know that he is not actually so interested in having a legacy. He is actually more interested in having a lot of money. That's why I think it will be better to look for Harry Kane right now. Once it is time for Harry Kane to leave the team they can go for Mbappe. And by that time Mbappe will also become more mature. Real Madrid of course can actually go for Mbappe if they want. But I wonder if Mbappe will choose legacy over money.

Why not, because with the rest of his contract with Spurs and a much more promising potential, Harry Kane should be interested. Btw, I prefer to give him the title of a star player who doesn't know what a trophy feels like. So when there is a potential vacancy in Madrid, this opportunity should not be wasted. It doesn't matter what the media say, but what is clear is that at this time it is ideal for Harry Kane to focus on Madrid and build his reputation at a club that can give him a chance to win trophies.

Harry Kane has been playing for Tottenham for a very long time. I cannot say that he has actually achieved what he wanted. So it is time to move on. Which I also believe that he is ready to do. So I do not think he should waste any time, to be honest. He should actually go to Real Madrid if he gets any kind of chance like that. He is certainly going to win trophies with Real Madrid. I don't think he will have to worry about trophies in Real Madrid but he will have a great expectation bestowed upon him. He will have to perform so well that Real Madrid does not feel any need of another striker anytime soon.

Lol after Benzema is leaving Real Madrid, now there are a lot rumor of every striker in other clubs could join Real Madrid Cheesy
I think Ronaldo will join Real Madrid Tongue
Kai Havertz, not a good striker despite he's young, Real Madrid only want a player with fantastic performance.
Harry Kane, a good striker which can't leave Tottenham due to many factors.
There's still no solid rumor who will replace Benzema position.

even though it is just rumours that are uncertain but I am a little sure that Madrid are more interested in getting Harry Kane than Osimhen. my predictive power may be wrong but it's just my instinct telling me about Harry Kane who is more suitable to replace Benzema.
of course we can admit that Harry Kane's performance is actually better than Osimhen even though both of them seem to have a strong performance but I look more at it from the side of Kane performance which is more aggressive.

Real Madrid have not made any move so far. At least as far as I know. So it is actually hard to understand what is true at this moment. But I agree that it will be better for Real Madrid if they go for Harry Kane instead of Victor Osimhen. In my opinion, Harry Kane is a better finisher compared to Victor Osimhen. But on the other hand, Harry Kane is old. Victor Osimhen has time on his side. What I have seen so far from Real Madrid is that they prefer youth over experience most of the time. So I wonder if that is going to be their case this time as well.

I also think Harry Kane is a good option for Real Madrid because he is one of the best strikers at the moment. We all know that Tottenham has always fortified Harry Kane and one of the reasons that made Tottenham insist is that they don't want Harry Kane to leave for one of their rivals in the Premier League.

So if Real Madrid makes an offer, I think there is still a possibility for Tottenham to accept the offer, but what is certain is that they have to prepare a lot of money so that the signing can be realized.
Harry Kane is certainly trying to leave Tottenham right now. So Real Madrid can actually get him easily if they and Tottenham meet the price tag. The bigger question is does Real Madrid actually want Harry Kane to be the main striker for them?

... Nadal...
right now Nadal is also injured and get a surgery. I don't think he will be able to play in 5-6 months at least.
However he is a strong player but "an old one"... and not "fit" to compete in some big tournaments.

Alcaraz is performing very well in this RG. Today against Musetti he has been superlative. Another player that I like a lot is Tsitsipas.
Against Ofner today has offered a great performance (7-5 6-3 6-0). Well Ofner is not a top player but he was enough "insidious" during the match (likewise in first set were he was in advantage for 1 breakpoint from the first game...)

Rafael Nadal is a good player. He is still a very decent player and far above average. But as we all agree that he is just old and not one of the best anymore, to be honest. I wouldn't have said that but the injuries are making him more and more obsolete.

Alcaraz is in good form right now. He is beating almost anyone. If he can continue in this way I don't think you will have any problem trying to beat any opponent. Of course, the matches against Tsitsipas and some others are going to be a lot harder.

Honestly, I invest in bitcoin because of its high volatility, if it is less volatile and stable as gold, then I would rather invest in gold than take a big risk investing in bitcoin without big profit. Indeed, bitcoin's volatility has never been a downside. That is its biggest advantage, and most people are interested in ever. Would people still care much about it if bitcoin were a decentralized, anonymous, and private currency without volatility? Even I am doubting myself about that.
If bitcoin becomes much more stable, then you will reinvest all your funds in gold, even taking into account the fact that there is a lot of gold to be mined and only 21 million bitcoins?

Your gold will need to be stored in some kind of bank vault, the bank will know everything about you and in fact your gold will not be with you, but under the control of the bank. You will pay for storage and of course you will pay taxes. Do not forget that there have already been cases in history when the government seized all the gold from the population. Although bitcoin will become less volatile, it will always rise in price, since its number will never exceed 21 million, and with the adoption, there will be more and more people who want to own bitcoin.

If bitcoin becomes stable, meaning it ceases to be volatile, do you think the supply will still matter? Limited supply is one of the factors driving the bitcoin price, but I'm talking about the case where it becomes as stable as gold, talking about the supply is pointless.

I'm talking about physical gold, and you can buy and keep it at home, in your safe, I'm not talking about investing gold in a bank to earn interest like fiat. And taxes are part of civic duty, if you use bitcoin to evade taxes, you are damaging bitcoin's reputation.

Rafael Nadal has certainly become too old. I know this is going to sound really bad and hateful but I honestly think that Rafael Nadal should retire from his professional career. He is not going to achieve much at this stage and also after so many injuries. It will be a good decision for him to retire because he still has a long life to live after his career. And remember he will have to endure the pain that he is going through for the rest of his life because of these injuries. These surgeries are going to have some effect on his body in the latter stages of his life.
Djokovic certainly has the chance in my opinion. But he does have some good competition as well.
Always hard for anyone to retire from something you love, but when you take Federer or Nadal as examples, these guys also have built decades of relationship with their fans. They weren't just playing, winning and then walking off court and that was it for the day or night. They deeply know that they will miss all these people who carried them through their entire career and that part of their emotions I think is really hard to overcome when you decide to make the final step and say goodbye.

But I agree that most likely any tournament that Nadal will play from now on is not going to end well for him and in this year's French Open he might have even get destroyed by Djokovic, which would have been bad. If it had been against Alcaraz, he could have said that he is forwarding the torch to him to defend their era on clay. Amazing what Alcaraz is playing on clay.

I understand that it is hard for any athlete or player to retire. Especially after a career like this. It's like they are home when they are playing. All good things must come to an end. He will have to retire eventually. It will be better for him if he starts thinking about his health from now on and retires early. At this stage, it is not going to be an early retirement. But I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

I also agree that there is a high chance that he is going to get destroyed by other players who are actually better than him in the current situation. Maybe he needs a final go at things to say goodbye to his fans.

Atalanta had the chances of making it to the Champions league next season but they fumbled with those opportunities
They now fight for a chance for Europa League which is way below their standard
Yeah they had those injuries but they failed to win when they should have
It was not a good season for them.
Atalanta just wasn't able to take advantage of the opportunity to maintain its position in the Champions League zone this season in Serie A, so Atalanta only has the chance to maintain its position in the Europa League zone this season in its final match which will take place today at its home ground against Monza and it should be an easy opponent for Atalanta so Atalanta must be able to win today if they want to maintain their position in the Europa League zone.

Because if Atalanta are unable to win in their last game today, their current position might be taken by AS Roma or Juventus because the two teams got opponents who weren't strong enough in their last match today. So Atalanta should be able to win today because that is the only better option for them.

I will actually say that Atalanta has to win the last match because if they lose they can potentially go down to the 7th position on the table. That is something that they certainly do not want. They will have to win the match to make sure that they stay in the position that they are in right now.

Now the last match is going to be played against Monza. I have a feeling that this matches going to end in a draw. And that is going to make Atalanta very vulnerable. Because if both of the teams who are below them win their next matches, Atalanta is going to go down to the seventh position because of the goal difference.

It seems that we will not see Nadal on the tennis courts for a long time, certainly not this year and maybe only next year.
After such a long tennis break, how ready will Nadal be for top tennis and can we expect him to play at the top level again and try to win the GS in Paris again?
It seems to me that we are now looking at the end of a great tennis career and that the way is now open for Djokovic to win a record number of GS titles.
What do you think?
Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/65798097

I agree. For me, Alcaraz is the main favorite to win the RG this year, and I think that Djokovic should look for his chance to win at least 1 more GS at Wimbledon or in Australia. In the end, Djokovic will probably succeed in his goal to win a record number of GS titles and thus officially become the GOAT, but his career is also coming to an end, and I don't think he will be able to play at the top level for much longer.
I think that soon we will see only a new generation of tennis stars like Alcaraz, Medvedev, Tsitsipas and others on the tennis courts in the finals, and the big three will become a thing of the past.
Just watching Alcaraz against Musetti and he is playing some incredible points. Yeah there is an unforced error that was not needed here and there but in general he looks full of confidence and hitting shots like on the training. First favorite for sure but I still did not see Djoković play this year. If he is on his best, his experience could be the deciding factor.

Draw looks quite unfair this year, all top contenders on the same side and just Rune/Ruud on other side.

Rafael Nadal has certainly become too old. I know this is going to sound really bad and hateful but I honestly think that Rafael Nadal should retire from his professional career. 831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Benefit of bitcoin on: June 04, 2023, 10:12:21 AM
The only thing that people might consider a disadvantage of Bitcoin is its volatility which is basically there in all cryptocurrencies and it's because their prices go up and down based on demand and supply and because of the flow of the money invested.
Some people consider this not to be a disadvantage, as it is precisely this volatility that allows certain individuals to profit from these price fluctuations. Who else but traders? Yes, they leverage the nature of Bitcoin, where its value is unstable based on supply and demand.

If it comes to transactions, perhaps this may not be the optimal choice. However, for investment or daily trading purposes, Bitcoin can yield profits for skilled traders.
That's true, though it's the nature of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies to be volatile, it actually provides benefits to the traders or holders since when the price goes down, they buy with whatever they have, and then when it goes up again, they sell and take profit. So this basically is an advantage of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies since if they were not volatile, maybe this many people wouldn't be interested in them.

Humans tend to like things that earn them money because money is what everyone is running behind these days, you can't do anything without it so you have to find ways to get as much as possible to have a life free of worries and tensions and if you don't have any, you can't live in peace.

832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you support bitcoin as Global reserve currency? on: June 04, 2023, 09:55:31 AM
Bitcoin is not widely available globally and is not recognized like gold, Bitcoin is only 10 years old, while gold is thousands of years old. Regarding safety, bitcoin is nothing compared to gold so making it a reserve currency is impossible. Furthermore, no one accepts a volatile asset like bitcoin as a reserve currency that will cause the national economy to collapse if bitcoin fluctuates to an 80% drop in value.

Now that Bitcoin is actually over 13 years old, it has become increasingly well-known globally that even several film producers have also made films about Bitcoin and this has certainly caused Bitcoin to be increasingly recognized by many people around the world.

And for gold, I think it is a different asset than Bitcoin, so there is no sector that is more worthy to be compared to Bitcoin, because Bitcoin is unique in that its price is always fluctuating, so it is still worth owning and trading for many people. Whereas gold is just more suitable for storage although there are also many people who trade it at this time.

The filmmakers do not intend to promote bitcoin and help it become more popular, their purpose is to make a profit for themselves. If you notice, filmmakers will often make movies based on true stories because they know it will help them increase their revenue significantly. So I don't think bitcoin being included in the movie will make a huge difference in making it more widespread.

As for the gold vs bitcoin comparison, I think each has its pros and cons. In terms of safety, gold is undeniably safer and more stable than bitcoin, but in terms of returns, gold is clearly far behind bitcoin. Both are worth owning and can also be used for storage and trading.
833  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my small investment on: June 03, 2023, 09:19:57 AM
Absolutely. Altseason can still occur at any time, and it wouldn't be a bad decision to invest in some top altcoins as part of an asset diversification strategy alongside Bitcoin.

Although we are still within the realm of cryptocurrencies, there are distinct differences between Bitcoin and altcoins that can be leveraged. This also aligns well with the limited assets that OP possesses.

Altcoins can be a good diversification and can be maximized by choosing potential altcoins.
Bitcoin is indeed the main one, but of course, it needs support from several other assets so that there are other alternative assets that might go higher when Bitcoin is sideway.

The limitations owned by OP are the main problem, whether he will continue to be in Bitcoin or start entering Altcoin.
But the most important thing is to make sure the asset he chooses is an asset that has good development.

To be fair, diversifying with altcoins can better help us maximize our profits, as altcoins' returns are much higher than bitcoins. But everything is very fair, high return comes with high risk, if one can accept the risk, then investing in altcoins is really worth considering. But if someone can't take the risk, stay away from altcoins.

Given the OP's economic situation, he doesn't have too much money to invest and is not willing to take risks, altcoins are not suitable for him. I think his bitcoin approach suits his economics, he should continue with that plan, not thinking about altcoins when the economy is not really stable.
834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or banking investment? on: June 03, 2023, 08:56:12 AM
I believe bitcoin and banks are well renounced investment platforms but many people prefer bitcoin investment despite is very risky because of high demands and rising price interest and banks on the other hand saves millions of people finances all over the world yet their investment interest is very small but less risky than bitcoin. Which do you preferred your money to be save in as investment? Bitcoin or bank! What's your reason?
No need to chose actually. You could invest both in bank and bitcoin if you want. But make sure that you won’t put big amount of money sleeping in your bank account, their interest are just too small for that. Furthermore, invest in bitcoin at your own risk, at an amount that you can easily manage to lose. Know that volatile investments like bitcoin do not give us fixed profits, and it could be losses at some point aside from profits, so always invest within your means.

If we wanted to maximize the profit, choosing the one that gives more profit should be the choice and from the option, Bitcoin investment gives way more possibility to earn more money than banking investment so I would choose Bitcoin investment.

Time-wise and profit-wise, Bitcoin gives more, especially at the current phase of the Bitcoin cycle where the bull run is almost at the door.  Choosing Bitcoin will definitely give the more profitable venture of the two.  Forget banking investment and all-in in Bitcoin investment for maximum profitability.
I don't think putting all my money in bitcoin is a good idea. If investing in bitcoin is definitely profitable, as you say, then I don't just use all the money I have. I will borrow from the bank and even sell all my assets to invest in bitcoin because the profit bitcoin brings is many times the bank interest rate. But things are not so simple, high returns come with high risks.

We are approaching the halving, and everyone expects the bull season to come after that. But just hope and prediction, no one can guarantee it will happen 100%. Honestly, it would be a bad idea to invest it all in bitcoin. It's gambling, not investing.
835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Internet is one limitation of bitcoin on: June 03, 2023, 08:25:44 AM
It is undeniable that internet and electricity are two very important things because without this, it can be a big problem. We cannot iperate and do any transaction without them. Moreover, this is not only for the impact for Bitcoin but also almost all activities especially related to global activities. That is because this is a product of digital technology.
but, with this, I am sure that this will be always going on because this world has been always developed and developing, so this internet will always exist
I also agree, electricity and the Internet is the most important factor in the current era.  Without electricity, many Industries will be incapacitated since all industry that is dependent on machinery will stop functioning.  That also includes the internet providers.

I myself would agree to it, electricity and internet connection are all essential not only with bitcoin transaction, but almost everything depends on it. These things may not be something we're going to worry about when transacting with bitcoin, because we have been developing more ways to generate electricity and internet service provider were also expanding as well as the technology behind it. So, I won't really consider it a limitation to bitcoin. The limitation of bitcoin is when the people stops using it and the miners put a stop in their operations, that my friend is the limitation.

Even if we have many ways of generating electricity as well as many internet service providers but all, but if you want to use it or make it available to others, you need the government's consent, if they don't let you make it available to everyone, you dare not violate their directive. They are still the ones who control everything, including electricity and the internet. But I also don't see the internet or electricity as a threat to bitcoin because the government simply cannot turn off all the electricity and the internet connection. Because it is they who are most affected because most of the traditional industries use the internet and electricity.

You are right, the development and limitation of bitcoin depends on the needs of the users, as long as we still have demand for it, it will always grow.
836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dad's retirement money is invested in Bitcoin! on: June 02, 2023, 04:27:50 PM
But one thing I've been wondering for a few days is if I invest half of my father's retirement allowance in Bitcoin, am I doing something wrong?
Is your father willing to invest half of his retirement money in Bitcoin or it's your idea? Investing in Bitcoin is profitable however let's not set aside the risk because anything is possible to happen. That being said, it's important that the amount you'll use to invest in Bitcoin is also the amount that you can afford to lose. It's the basic rule of investing.
It was just his own idea, his father didn't know this. Because according to what he said, he was just a kid and couldn't give any advice to his father. Furthermore, OP also mentioned that OP's dad's dream is to build a house with this money. It shows he doesn't want to lose this money, and it means a lot to him, so I don't think OP's idea is good.

I feel like if I invest half the amount in Bitcoin for a year after receiving his retirement allowance, I might be able to hand over more money to my dad at the end of the year.
You can't be so certain everything will go as planned since Bitcoin's price is unpredictable. Yes there's a chance for it to soar high but there's no specific period when it will happen and it can take longer than you expected. Hence, it would be better to discuss this to your father so he's also aware of the possible consequences.

I don't know how long OP has been in the market but with a greedy mentality that only thinks about profit and not risk, it is too risky for him to take his father's money and invest in bitcoin. Again, I cannot support the OP's idea with that in mind.
837  Economy / Speculation / Re: Opportunity to buy on: June 02, 2023, 04:07:48 PM
Indeed the price at this moment is low but charts would show bearish pattern which means the price could still fall lower. I'd say wait for a better 'discount' before engaging into it in order to maximize your fund and earn bigger profit. Waiting for the right time to enter would also help you avoid suffering from losses 'coz we all know market prices are volatile in nature. Familiar with CME gap? There's one around $20k and price could fill this before the actual uptrend. There's no certainty by the way 'coz prices move dependent with demand and if buyers will support an uprise trend even if there are gaps below, then price would still go up. So for now be patient.
According to the chart of the market, it can be predicted that the market will go down further, but the market is staying in a certain place even though there is a possibility of going down for some time. If there is a slight change from the current position of the market, the market returns to its previous position within a few days. From the current state of the market, we may see a large dumping soon.

Since OP is interested in buying bitcoins, he should be patient and observe the market for some time and buy bitcoins when the market is relatively low, because if he buys bitcoins at the lowest level of the market, he can avoid losses and make profits.

If it is possible to accurately predict the movement of bitcoin through the chart, then not only Yatsan and you, but I think all investors will know the upcoming trend of bitcoin. If bitcoin is predictable, I really want to know you, and he bought bitcoin for $16k last year, right? Because as far as I know, many people have missed because they are waiting for the price to drop lower to buy. Most have missed because they also rely on chart analysis and show bitcoin has not bottomed yet and will continue to fall.

I mean, why don't we buy it now? The price is not too bad to buy if we compare the recent ATH of bitcoin. We can use DCA strategy if bitcoin continues to fall rather than waiting with no guarantee bitcoin will fall more.
838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 01, 2023, 12:08:24 PM
Did anyone checked the stats of Deepak Hooda in this season of IPL? He played in total of 12 matches for LSG and only scored 84 runs with a SR of 93. Due to his performance in the previous season of IPL he got selected in the India team. I do not think he will get any more opportunities if the selectors just take a glance on his IPL 2023 stats. This season he did not get to bowl in any of the 12 matches.
Yeah, he had a terrible season but he's just 28-ish yo and his gameplay suits the T-20 format, with limited opportunities in international matches he performed quite well.
Also in international, his focus is on T-20s only so I won't rule him out just yet. 1 good season and he would be back on management's radar.

It was hard to trust him with anything especially when he is in such a bad run of form. That's why I believe he did not get a chance with the ball in this season's IPL. I also absolutely agree that if the Indian selectors do look at his statistics in the IPL he is not going to be the first choice for them for sure. But I don't think India has anything to worry about because they always have players waiting for a chance in case someone does not perform well.

almost half year passed , yet there is no even sign of half breaking for this 80k in which 40k , so maybe this is a desperate believe having 80k in 2023, but what I can be assure to believe in 2024-2025 will be broken , that 80k or even 100k is in the move to be taken.

Even ignoring the historical factor that bitcoin will only hit ATH after the halving, with the current world economic situation not in our favor, the $80k expectation is unrealistic. Many people were too optimistic, if not delusional when the beginning of the year saw the price of bitcoin skyrocket, and from there, they began to dream of a miracle that would happen this year. But it's been almost half a year, and we haven't even broken the $30k mark, so thinking of ATH, it's like we're giving ourselves a hard time. Let's be more realistic, instead of thinking about a new ATH this year, prepare for a bad situation because the bear season is not over yet, the world economy continues to be full of uncertainty.

Why are you surprised that bitcoin can't break through $30k? Because as you said in your experience, the bull market will only appear after the halving occurs. I find it quite contradictory in your statement.
Furthermore, if you believe that the bull season will only begin after the halving, that means you believe in history, believe in the 4-year cycle of the market. Even if bitcoin breaks through $30k and stays above it, that doesn't mean we'll enter a bull season this year.
Why should we stress when bitcoin is still under $30k? I think that is more positive than negative, we will have enough time to buy bitcoin cheaply.

I'm surprised because Bitcoin was doing so well last two months that it should have stayed above $30,000. As we're staying below $30,000 it's just a matter of time before the price falls below $25,000 then $20,000 and the panic begins to happen.

The more we stay below $30,000 the sell orders will keep increasing and since we're in a bear market, there won't be enough counter buy power to keep the price from crashing and taking the price down to a lows that would cause panic in the market.

I never said we were in the bull market, we're in the bear market but still not the worst stages of the bear market therefore we should have be seeing some positive movement in the market. If Bitcoin can stay above $30,000 that'll be great as it'll give hope.

In the first few months of the year, bitcoin skyrocketed, surprising us all. Instead of getting too excited and expecting more, we should be wary of such sudden and unprovoked price spikes.

As I also said, the longer bitcoin stays below 30k or will be dumped more, that is a positive signal for us, and the more time we have to accumulate bitcoin at a discount high. Like those who bought bitcoin when it dropped to $16k last year, and now they've made almost double the profit, while those who panicked and dumped are probably regretting it.

For me, the worst market is when bitcoin goes up, and we don't have too much bitcoin in our pocket. As for the bear market, it's not as scary or as bad as you say.
