Isn't cashout fee for Musicoin too big? (1 coin)
822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Drop of hashrate for Polaris cards incoming on: June 24, 2017, 05:04:58 AM
Could this have anything to do with the memory straps? Maybe with stock straps it doesn't slow down with every new DAG

LOL )) funny but I see such sentences not for a first time.
No, std straps won't help you. )))
Moreover, even Hawaii - now top performer - will go to 17mhs on epoch 333 ))
823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: DwarfPool site down agian ? on: June 21, 2017, 03:16:11 PM
Well, they changed that now. They started ro include eth network transactions and account fees for miner income
824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: DwarfPool site down agian ? on: June 21, 2017, 05:10:51 AM
Don't mine on dwarfpool, this pool doesn't include transactions in blocks, so
1. You get less (only 5eth for block instead of 5.2-6 eth if the tx-fees were included)
2. This hurts eth network performance
825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Drop of hashrate for Polaris cards incoming on: June 20, 2017, 04:31:20 PM
Edit2: I see no hashrate drop on my rigs whatsoever Smiley (6 x 480 8G cards). Still going strong  Cool
The same here, I have gtx1070s and 1080ti's )))
What's the purpose on mining Ether with 1080ti ? You would gain a lot more $ with Zcash
Currently I'm not mining neither ETH nor ZEC with 1080ti. There are more profitable cases. But sometimes dualmining ETH+SIA or ETH+DCR can be rather good for gtx1080ti ))
826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 20, 2017, 04:28:58 PM
I see the Genoil miner dag size benchmark shows no decrease in mh/s while claymore miner goes all the way down to lose almost 50% mining speed the higher you go.
Run Genoils miner benchmark and look how much vram it takes.

I have used the Genoil benchmark and the hashrate dropped. What command did you used?
Genoil's etherminer uses block number, not epoch number like Claymore's. Just try Genoils's with number 10000000 (10 million) and ypu will see )) It is about epoch 333 )))

So it's normal to see drop in hash rate since last night?
The bunch of such stupid questions we will see every dag change for a long time ))))
829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 19, 2017, 06:50:28 AM

On 280x now 12.5 on 130-12.5 on 150 - 11.66 on 160 -11.12
on 290 there is no difference all is the same
on 470 28.5 - 28.4-23.8-21.5
So go for 290 and 390 if you don`t want a dag problem!

hawaii (290 or 390) will also have DAG problem but later - after epoch 200.
nVidia Pascal doesn't have this problem
830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: June 18, 2017, 12:24:15 PM
it is true bensam. i tried on my old wonky miner and it shows the same drop. dunno if it's exactly the same issue, afaik AMD arch doesn't even have a TLB. now let's see how that 1070 holds up  Cool
Just tested my r9 390 with Genoil on block number 10000000 (mem usage ~3.8G) - 17mhs ))) (~epoch 333)
So Hawaii is also heavily effected but later ))
GTX1070 on block number 10000000 (mem usage ~3.8G) - 31mhs - not effected )) (~epoch 333)
831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 18, 2017, 11:44:14 AM
This is most likely a hardware related issue caused by the DAG being over 2GB now. This causes something like the DAG now being spread over multiple banks of memory, slowing down access. The bigger the DAG gets, the more often the memory controller has to switch banks, the slower it responds. In reality it probably is a little bit different/nuanced, but I guess it comes down to the same thing. The most important question is; how much are the 290/390's affected? Because when they have it too, the majority is in the same sinking ship, so it's not that big of a deal. Good news for Pascal owners though, they should be fine as a similar issue was fixed when that hit the market last year.

Hawaii will drop only 2mhs on 199 epoch, polaris will drop 12-14 mhs
I have no Fiji cards but users say it will drop less then Hawaii.
So coming Vega will not have this issue.
832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 18, 2017, 05:46:09 AM
For the 1 millionth time.

NO HASHRATE DOESN'T DROP EVERY NEW DAG. IT ONLY DROPS ON OLD GPUS LIKE 270X / 280X / 7970.
You are absolutely wrong.
Hashrate is dropping heavily for polaris cards 0.1-0.2 mhs every new epoch. This is stared 2 epochs ago. With epoch 199 you'll get only 17mhs with rx480. Just use --benchmark 199 option of claymore miner.
833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: June 18, 2017, 05:39:59 AM
I'm almost 100% sure this is fixed with GCN 2 and higher cards. I have not seen this with Claymore miner on my AMD rigs, they're still mining at pretty much exactly what they were when they first came out. If you're getting subpar hashrate either your memory speed is lower, you have bad type of memory, or you haven't tweaked your latency properly. Hawaii is GCN 3, Polaris is GCN 4.

If it isn't fixed, do you have a source besides 'you can see it with claymore now' which isn't observable?
you are either lazy or stupid. This is the biggest news in mining and discussed and admitted everywhere. Just use --benchmark option in claymore and you'll see that polaris cards are loosing 0.1-0.2 mhs from each new DAG. This started 2 epochs ego.
834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: June 16, 2017, 08:54:19 AM
AAAND was this tested on Nvidia?
750ti had even nastier TLb thrashing under Windows which was NEVER fixed, though admitted to be driver-bug by NV
What i is current epoch btw?
gtx1070 practically not effected, 0.2mhs loss on epoch 199. Current epoch can be seen launching claymore miner or pressing s while mining.
Hawaii cards effected not much, 2mhs loss on epoch 199
835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: June 16, 2017, 07:20:34 AM
AMD 100% is the best choice right now if you exclude the shortages. If you can get your hands on 580s for less then $300 or even $400 they're worth buying. They use the same amount of energy as a 1070 (give or take), and you can mine mainstream coins with them to get decent revenue. With Nvidia you have to mine niche coins which are easily saturated or you make like 30% less with a 1070 vs a 580 (Equihash vs Eth+Sia). AMD also has niche coins, which you can also find that Nvidia is bad at.

Mainstream coins offer stability and safeguards against your revenue dropping out from under you, either due to a big miner hoping on it, buy support disappearing, or the market just outright crashing. There is absolutely no reason to buy Nvidia. You offer absolutely no points to back up your argument besides 'Nvidia best4evar'. I mean I want to feel good about the $10k worth of hardware I bought too, but that's not the way reality works.

current generation of polaris cards (rx470, rx480, rx570, rx580) has this tlb trashing bug again with epoch from current and higher loosing half of hashrate on epoch 199.
It is observed with claymore miner with current drivers. Dunno if it can be fixed. So if nothing will change you will be sticked to low epoch dagger-hashimoto coins just like with Tahiti cards.
836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: June 15, 2017, 07:03:59 AM

Cause Claymore's benchmark shows significant performance degradation, only 17mhs on 199 epoch

On Polaris cards? I'm curious now, but SGMiner doesn't have an option to use a commanded epoch, dammit.
You already can see it, try some shit-dagger-coin with low epoch and current eth. With claymore it is ~0.2mhs loss. Then on epoch 150 and later it becomes huge.
R9 390 is effected also but not much.
gtx1070 practically not effected.
Maybe it is a miner problem or some driver issue ... that is why I ask.

2 Wolf0

Can you benchmark some Polaris card 8gb with your private ETH miner with current epoch, epoch 150 and epoch 199?
Will you see performance degradation?
